En esta edición les compartimos una charla con el arquitecto Matteo Mornaghini, quien ha acuñado a la perfección el concepto “Return on Wellness” (ROW) en el diseño y construcción de una hermosa residencia en Puerto Morelos. Conversamos con él y realizamos un interesante artículo en torno a este proyecto, que esperamos disfruten y los motive a buscar estas características en sus futuras inversiones inmobiliarias. In this edition, we feature a conversation with Matteo Mornaghini, an architect who has perfectly coined the concept of “Return on Wellness” (ROW) in the design and construction of a beautiful residence in Puerto Morelos. We talked with him and wrote an interesting article about this project, which we hope will inspire and motivate you to look for these characteristics in your future real estate investments. ROW also incarnates the essence of the New Luxury.

Torre Sofía es uno de los edificios pioneros en México en ser diseñado de manera proactiva, que combina nuevas tecnologías y técnicas sostenibles que respetan estándares internacionales en cuanto al uso eficiente de los recursos, la implementación de materiales reciclados y de proveedores de la región, entre los que se destaca una mezcla de cemento que fue creada especialmente por Cemex para este proyecto con el fin de reducir la huella de carbono.
Además, el desarrollo se caracteriza porque su paisajismo protege el hábitat del predio, con árboles que se rescataron y replantaron, y por la reutilización del agua pluvial para riego mediante tanques y bombas que ayudan a minimizar en un 50% el consumo del agua.
The property is one of the pioneering buildings in Mexico to be designed proactively, combining new technologies and sustainable techniques that respect international standards in terms of efficient use of resources, the implementation of recycled materials, and suppliers in the region. Among these innovations, there is a cement mixture that was specially created by Cemex for this project to reduce the carbon footprint.
The project stands out for its landscaping, which protects the habitat of the property with trees that were rescued and replanted, and by reusing rainwater for irrigation through tanks and pumps that help minimize water consumption by 50%.

Conversamos con el Arquitecto Matteo Mornaghini, diseñador y constructor de esta espectacular residencia a unos metros de la playa en la Riviera Maya.
Una casa cuyo diseño, materiales y acabados están pensados para la comodidad de sus habitantes y también toman en cuenta el ahorro en el consumo de energía y el respeto por el ecosistema, lo que promueve y empodera la calidad de vida a través de sus ambientes, que hacen partícipe al entorno que la rodea.
Diseño pasivo, cuyo principio es aprovechar al máximo el contacto con la naturaleza y los recursos solares, su arquitectura mezcla materiales autóctonos con un estilo mediterráneo y equipamiento de alta calidad.
Matteo visualizó espléndidos espacios interiores con alturas que van de los tres a los nueve metros y se fusionan de manera armónica con el exterior, generando agradables espacios de convivencia y contacto con la naturaleza.
We talked with Matteo Mornaghini, the architect who designed and built this spectacular residence a few steps away from the beach at the Riviera Maya.
A house with design, materials and finishes thought not only for the comfort of its inhabitants but also to take into consideration energy consumption saving and respect for the ecosystem, promoting and empowering the quality of life through its spaces, making the surroundings part of the experience.
A passive design whose main purpose is to make the most of the proximity with nature and solar energy. Its architecture combines native materials with a Mediterranean style and high-quality furnishing.
Matteo visualized superb interior spaces with heights ranging from three to nine meters and blended harmoniously with the exterior, generating pleasant gathering spaces and contact with nature.
Para optimizar recursos y costos de energía, se implementó un sistema de 36 paneles solares que alimentan a toda la propiedad y numerosas ventanas con doble cristal que maximizan el aislamiento térmico y acústico y a la vez son fuente de iluminación natural.
Desde el estudio, un amplio espacio acristalado, se aprovechan las hermosas vistas al jardín, que inspiran para otros grandes proyectos que también se integren con la naturaleza y prioricen el cuidado por el medio ambiente y nuestro planeta.
La nueva arquitectura es consciente del entorno y el uso de recursos naturales; fomenta el ahorro de energía, los materiales reciclables y el retorno del bienestar (ROW por sus siglas en inglés) como parte de los esfuerzos que personas en todo el mundo están llevando a cabo con miras a un mundo mejor. Matteo es una de esas personas y le agradecemos nos haya abierto las puertas de esta increíble residencia.
A system of 36 solar panels was installed to feed the property and optimize resources and energy consumption. Double-glazed windows that maximize thermal and acoustic isolation and provide natural lighting.
The studio is a wide-glazed space where the gorgeous garden views are the protagonists and inspire us to create other great projects that integrate nature and prioritize care for the environment and our planet.
The new architecture is aware of the surroundings and the use of natural resources. It encourages energy savings, recyclable materials, and return on wellness as part of the efforts that people around the world are making toward a better world. Matteo is one of these persons, and we thank him for opening the doors of this amazing house to us.
