Vinci, a design firm specialising in creating industrial, UI/UX and print designs specifically for the ultra-high-end, future luxury technology market aimed at the prosumer.
ROLEX One of the most renowned luxury brands in the world, Rolex is known for its very-highend gold and silver watches. To represent this they regularly use elegant serif fonts in gold, silver and royal green colours.
ARMANI A very-high-end clothing brand, Armani and its umbrella companies are obsessed with black and white, serif text and the aggressive elegance which accompanies it.
MINIMAL MINIMAL is an industrial design company focused on designing products for famous clients including Microsoft and Dell. They, like Armani, employ primarily black and white, however much more contemporary, sans serif fonts are used to highlight the technological aspect.
VERTU Vertu is a luxury designer and manufacturer of handmade phones. Black and white are again employed, however there is a considerable about of gold, silver and brown also present. Their logo is a relatively simple, symbol-free logo in a sans serif font, again to corroborate the technological aspect of their company.
MERIDIAN Meridian designs and manufactures high quality audio systems. The blues, greys, blacks and whites that they use, along with the mostly sans serif fonts they employ, create a very contemporary, technological appearance. Their logo includes a modified sans serif font with a simple symbol placed above. The occasional serif font creates a traditional appearance, perhaps suggesting the company has been around for a while.
GOOGLE Google is unique in the tech industry in that they still make use of a serif font in their logo. They have recently updated their logo to a flat design, so it now consists of a flat, multicoloured typeface. Red, green yellow, and blue.
MICROSOFT Microsoft also employs red, green, yellow and blue, however they use a sans serif font like most modern tech companies. Grey is used as the font colour, like on some luxury brands.
APPLE Apple’s logo is very simplistic and effective – it’s just one, memorable symbol. Apple’s favourite colour is probably white, and they like to contrast and complement this with black and grey, respectively.

Mercedes’ BlueEFFICIENCY app was the primary inspiration used in the creation of my app. I wanted to replicate their cutting edge technological aspect and strengthen the respect and trustworthiness of my brand.
