Now is time to: take care of you hands
Pretty hands are a way to hide your real age, and winter time is the best moment to take good care of them. You'll be happy you did. Here's how to keep them looking young.

start with the SPF Hands in your twenties need as much protection and attention as your face does. If you apply a daily moisturizer with SPF to your face (you should!), that's exactly the same type of care for your hands, too. Ideally, you should apply a mosturizer with sunblock after every time you wash your hands. And beware of exposure to water, especially during winter months: when your hands get wet, they lose moisture. When you do the dishes, always wear cotton-lined rubber gloves and then pat dry gently; finally, remember to don gloves in cold weather to protect the skin from the elements.
Cellex-C Hydra Hand Cream SPF 15
Eve Lom Hand Cream +SPF 10
Protect your hands from sun, wind, water, and detergents. Cellex-C Hydra Hand Cream SPF 15 gives your skin deep moisture and smoothness as it protects you from the elements.
Prevent the first signs of environmental damage, through diligent use of this easily absorbed cream with sunscreens and moisturizers. The cream contains skin refining and brightening salicylic acid and kokum butter, soothing bisabolol, anti-oxidant vitamins A and E, and edelweiss extract combined with moisturizing beeswax, jojoba oil and shea butter.

soften the skin Staying hydrated is the key factor for 30something hands to prevent drying out. For example, switching to a shea butter hand cream or getting a weekly paraffin treatment are excellent ways to take care of your hands. For a quick at-home treatment, try this manicurist secret tip: apply a cuticle oil to both nails and hands, then wrap around them and cover with a hot towel for 10/15 minutes.
LoLLIA Shea Butter Handcreme, Breathe Peony & White Lily
L'OCCITANE Shea Butter Hand Cream
Soothe away dry, itchy skin. Botanicals like Shea Butter, Macadamia Nut, and Brazil Oils nourish and hydrate hands, leaving your skin deliciously soft. Plus, the delicate aromas of peony and white lily combine for a revitalizing scent.
Nourishes and protects by blending shea butter cream with honey, almond, and coconut oils for an extra-soft touch.

fight the spots Brown spots give away your age, no matter how hydrated your hands are. The skin on the back of your hands is already very thin, and as one loses collagen, brown spots are the next step. You should start using creams that contain botanical ingredients to aid in the battle against age spots.
Decleor Beaute des Mains Nourishing Comforting Hand Cream Darphin Crème aromatique pour les mains A quickly-absorbed hand cream, enriched with Mulberry and Grape extracts, Sweet Almond and Cotton oil, Vitamin C and E, and Lemon essential oil, helps nourish and protect skin against environmental factors. Skin is delightfully-scented, looking and feeling supple and silky-soft.
Beaute des Mains is a phyto-aromatic cream for the hands that creates an imperceptible protective glove. This complete hand treatment helps limit the signs of ageing, fine lines and age spots, helps reduce excessive perspiration and nourishes and protects from external aggressors to leave the skin satin-soft.

Springtime beauty is still months away, but the beauty trends from the runway have already started to make their way into stores and onto the pages of magazines. The heavy eyebrows and bright red lips of fall have been replaced by the hottest makeup trends for Spring 2009 - larger-than-life false eyelashes, flawless, natural-looking complexions, and softer, more subtle smokey eyes.

The Best Makeup Trends For Spring 2009
For Spring 2009, eye makeup is all about definition and allowing natural beauty to shine through. Say goodbye to thick, heavy eyebrows and harsh liquid liner. Instead, Brows are combed and set into a natural shape and filled in only slightly. Beauty experts at Glamour recommend letting brows grow out and then only trimming the unruly hair, sweeping the rest naturally toward the temple.
Another trend for Spring 2009, is a touch of fantasy. Christian Dior, Jill Stuart, and NARS are all releasing softer, pastel collections for the eyes, and Bobbie Brown has been promoting a violet eyeliner to create a soft, sultry eye that compliments every skin tone.

The Best Makeup Trends For Spring 2009
Finish off the the more subtle eye makeup with false lashes for a touch of glamour and drama. At nearly every runway at New York Fashion week, properly applied false eyelashes add an ethereal sense of fantasy to the makeup trends of Spring 2009.
Beautiful skin is always in style, but for Spring 2009, it is all about making skin look like it has barely been touched. Skin looks hydrated and dewy, without looking oily or greasy, making tinted moisturizer a Spring 2009 must-have. Illuminating powder, such Radiance from Mineralogie, is used to highlight the under eye area and along the collarbone and the round of the shoulders.

The Best Makeup Trends For Spring 2009
For blush, Spring brings soft peaches, roses, and pastel plums. Textures are lighweight and translucent, to ensure they appear that the glow is coming from within. Heavy browns and bronzers are a thing of the past. Spring 2009 makeup is lighter, healthier, and dewier in appearance.
Lipstick is back in a big way for Spring 2009. Inspired by the nude, pale lip color of the 1960s, Christian Dior and Chanel have released subtle, natural lip colors along with deeper berry lipsticks that provide a sheer wash of color. Have a shade from Fall 2008 you love? Mix it with a clear, lightweight lip balm to lighten the texture and continue wearing it into Spring. Lip gloss is still hot for Spring 2009, but only to add shine. Stay away from glitter, sparkles, and heavy pigment in Spring. MORE NEWS ON BLOG.NINEBYZERO.COM

The Best Makeup Trends For Spring 2009
As usual, the easiest way to ease into seasonal makeup changes is by adding only one or two trendy makeup pieces. Add a soft pastel shadow to the grey colors of Fall 2008 to transition into the lighter eyeshadow colors of Spring. Turn your heavier foundation from Winter into a tinted moisturizer and apply over a foundation primer to make skin look ethereal and flawless. These are two easy ways to update a makeup collection for the new season.

10 steps to a new You in the new year A new year ahead of you, a whole new chance to get rid of bad habits and start anew. Change is possible, if you take one step at a time. Just take a look at where you are now with your life, look at the pros and cons, and start working on 1 thing at a time. Soon you'll look back and wonder why didn't you try to change things before?
Right now, start thinking about the past year: did you accomplish all of the things you wanted to? Write these goals down along with new goals for the New Year.
MORE NEWS ON BLOG.NINEBYZERO.COM
10 steps to a new You in the new year
1. Make your resolutions specific.
Instead of saying, “I want to loose lots of weight” say, “I want to loose 15 pounds. ”Being clear about what you want is often the first step in being able to create it.
2. Write down your goals and keep your list small.
Don’t overload yourself. Try not to set 20 different goals. Mark Goulston, MD, says: "You wouldn’t build a house without a blueprint, would you? Writing down your goals and plans increases your commitment".
3. Don’t set the bar too high.
Try to keep the goals realistic and attainable. Unrealistic goals are doomed from the start. Dr. Jane Collingwood told us: "Don’t aim too high and ignore reality - consider your previous experience with resolutions. What led to failure then? It may be that you resolved to lose too much weight or save an unrealistic amount of money. Remember, there will always be more opportunities to start on the next phase, so set realistic goals."
4. Tell all of your friends and family.
Telling other people you’re going to do something increases your commitment. Furthermore, the more support you have, the more people you have to cheer you along if you start to lag.
5. Reward yourself each time you succeed.
If you have resolved to lose weight, pat your self on the back when you pass on the dessert or make it to the gym! This will encourage your subconscious mind to fulfill the other resolutions, too.
6. Be flexible.
Just like you can change your resolution date if you need to - January 1st doesn’t always work out. You choose, it’s your life! You must not quit on a resolution if it is not immediately working. Instead of quitting, modify your resolution. Adjusting your New Year's resolution is far better than quitting altogether.
7. Visualize yourself attaining your goal.
Imagine how you will feel when you do: the clearer the picture, the more likely you are to succeed.
8. Don’t give up!
Research shows that it takes 21 days for something to become a habit and at least 6 months for it to become part of your lifestyle.Do not make goals that are unreasonable or next too impossible to obtain in a year. You are only setting yourself up to be discouraged and disappointed.
9. Look back on the progress you have made so far.
Call your friends and family and let them know that you kept your New Year’s resolution!
10. Little things you can change in your life starting NOW:
excercise more, de-clutter, eat better, change your routine, read more books, donate to charity, have real conversations with friends. All in all, while still being focused on the goals you want to achieve, enjoy the journey! Life is a full-time, 100% learning experience. So just remember to live.
