Students Are Finally Recognized Odeline N. Utile
There are many students in the school, but only one could make it to be the student of the week. To be student of the week that person would have to stand out from all of the other students. Anyone can be student of the week, whether that person is, or is not in a magnet program at North Miami Beach Senior Hugh School (NMB). Out of over 1,600 students, one student was finally chosen. The student who was chosen for this week is none other than David Dede. David Dede is an 11th grader here at NMB. His 3D animation teacher, Mr.Luzardo, selected him to be this week’s featured student in newspaper… “David is always the first person to finish an assignment and is very bright. He takes AP and honors classes and does great work. Not only is he an intelligent kid, but also he is a gentleman and is very well behaved,” said Mr. Luzardo…
David is involved in the Raiders/JROTC. He spends an average of two hours on his homework assignments each day. On his free time, for fun David likes to play video games and exercise with friends. He thinks the school is great just the way it is and wouldn’t change a thing about it. The three things that he values the most in life are loyalty, respect, and honor. He thinks that a good leader should have honor and should find the best in people and not try to put them down or set them up for failure. The activity that has been the most important to him in terms of personal growth is JROTC because he feels it is shaping him into a better leader for the future. In the next ten years or so David plans on going to college, finishing up his lawyer classes, going to law school, then later on becoming a lawyer for the military. What an extraordinary future he has planned ahead... Now you know more about your fellow Charger. Who will be featured in next week’s newspaper as student of the week? It may just be you. Just continue to work hard and continue to do the right thing. Lets Go Chargers!
