World’s First “Smart” Water Bottle by Ashley Derival

Eric Li has invented the Ecomo, which is short for “eco-monitor,” bottle. Li had realized the detrimental effects of water pollution and is now trying to change the world in terms of our drinking water. With just a shake of the bottle, Ecomo can easily test their own water safety levels, informing you whether the water is clean or not. The Ecomo campaign was recently launched last October, but is getting recognition today with nearly $600,000 raised more than when it was first released. Ecomo has a complex filtration system that

does the job in just three seconds. It contains activated carbon and ion exchange fiber. It also has a nano-fiber membrane. When you shake the bottle, it analyzes Total Organic Carbon (TOC), Total Dissolved Solids (TDS), turbidity, and water temperature. Ecomo uses words and light to tell you the edibility of your water. If a green light appears and the word “Good” appears, the water is clean. However, a red or yellow light can indicate fair or bad water. Ecomo also has an app that can help remind customers about their filters, making it easier to take care of your smart water bottle. Eric Li is gradually changing what we put inside our body with this new invention.
