2–13 With new partners expanding to include more than just museums, the program will now be known as the New Orleans Culture Pass Program. Instead of physically checking out a pass from one of our locations, Library users will now be able to do it all online. Reservations may also be made by speaking with a staff member at any location or by calling the Library. Phone numbers for each location can be found at nolalibrary.org.

Each pass will have a single set date-of-use, allowing more people opportunities to reserve them. Reservations are permitted up to 30 days in advance.

Once a reservation is made, the Library user will receive a confirmation email, which they or a Library staff member can print out. The reservation confirmation will contain the Library user’s name and date of their visit, which will be used for entrance by the partner organization. "Amazing Grace" Retires after 47 Years Healthy Women New Orleans New e-Resource: Creativebug

One of the Library’s most popular offerings—the Museum Partner Pass Program—is making some big changes to allow even more Library cardholders access to some of New Orleans’ most interesting and exciting cultural institutions for free.

THANKSGIVING LIBRARY CLOSURE: All Library locations will be closed beginning at 5pm, Wednesday, November 27 and will reopen at 10am, Saturday, November 29.

Once the reserved date passes, there is nothing more to do – the pass becomes invalid and does not have to be returned, therefore eliminating the risk of late fees. The new Culture Pass Program will become available for reservations on Monday, October 28, at nolalibrary.org or by calling any Library location. The Library is thrilled to improve this extremely popular program as part of our Core Values of Customer Service, where we seek to provide an excellent Library user experience to all.

DONATION DRIVE Throughout the month of November, all 15 Library locations will serve as drop-off points for clothing donations to benefit Covenant House New Orleans, an organization that provides housing and supportive services to youth facing homelessness. The following items are needed: new men’s and women’s undergarments, bras, or sports bras; new or gently used winter weather clothing (hats, scarves, gloves, and jackets).

A " maing Grace" Retires After 47 Years

AFTER 47 YEARS of working for the New Orleans Public Library system, Grace Benson retired with a celebration September 30 at the Algiers Regional Library. Affectionately called “Amazing Grace" for her decades of devotion, Benson, 88, volunteered at various libraries and was a fixture at the Algiers Regional Library. Coworkers who treasured her friendship and humor gathered with Benson’s family for the retirement party, and many cards and messages were sent offering good wishes.
