orth Vancouver’s Adera Developments plans to make a splash with its latest project, The Shore. The new development is an exclusive creek-side enclave, featuring West Coast architecture, sustainable design and personalized interiors.

The Shore will consist of 375 apartments in four wood-frame buildings, five and six storeys high. Each features abundant outdoor living space, including exclusive rooftop lanais with 360 degree natural and urban views. With the company’s i.D. By Me program, buyers have the option to customize their new home. This personalization program includes the option to install a hot tub on their lanai, explains Adera’s vice president of marketing and sales, Eric Andreasen.

This fall, Adera will open four brand new on-site display homes, including a rooftop unit which will showcase one of the rooftop lanais.

“It’s been one of the most popular options we’ve had,” he says. The buildings will be nestled around the signature West Coast piazza, which includes an impressive water features and public art. “It’s going to be spectacular,” says Andreasen. As part of Adera’s focus on the outdoors, the company has partnered with the Trans Canada Trail to extend the network down from the foothills of North Shore’s many mountains to the waterfront, passing between Mosquito Creek and The Shore.

“You can access all of the natural space in the North Shore from the Trans Canada Trail,” says Andreasen. For indoor workouts, The Shore also includes the West Coast Club, a fitness centre and social lounge. The whole complex is walking distance to a variety of amenities, including the SeaBus. This fall, Adera will open four brand new on-site display homes, including a rooftop unit which will showcase one of the lanais. “They’re going to be some of the best displays we’ve ever seen,” says Andreasen. Adera will hold several private events before it opens the new displays to the public. Andreasen recommends that those who are interested register now so they’ll receive exclusive updates and invitations. The first phase of The Shore – located at733 West 3rd Ave. – will be completed in January 2015. Buyers searching for a home they can move into right away may be interested in Adera’s remix – at 733 West 14th Ave. – featuring 60 units atop a vibrant commercial hub.
