HI ALL
This month, we’re back at it, with not one, not two, but THREE NEW BEERS for you!

And even more thankful to all of you for communicating with us and being the most amazing, understanding people.
We want to reassure you that all has been rectified and, going forward, billing and delivery should be as expected. As the song goes, things can only get better, and at North we continuously look to improve North Beer Club.

THE ORANGE OF PINK
Style Peach and Lychee Pale Ale
ABV 4.2%
Hops Citra + El Dorado
Canned 14 February 2024
This light, refreshing pale ale is juicy, soft, and refreshing. A blend of wheat and oats in the grist provide a pillowy backbone, carrying forward the succulent aromas of organic peach and lychee puree. Finishing with a dry hop of Citra and El Dorado has highlighted the mouth-watering flavours of Seville orange and tart lime, balancing against these tropical fruit additions. A super sessionable pale, ready to welcome in the spring.
The name is inspired by The Books studio album, The Lemon of Pink. Refold has reflected the colours of the fruits within this gorgeous design, having fun with words for the name of this moreish pale ale.
FIELD RECORDINGS x BAY COFFEE ROASTERS
Style Whiskey Barrel Aged Stout with Coffee
ABV 11.0%
Our latest Field Recordings release – an Irish coffee of monstrous proportions.
Field Recordings is North’s experimental side project, creating new beers that take a look at historical brewing techniques to see how we can translate these into modern styles. We’re continuing our barrel-aged series in a collaboration with Bay Coffee – a roastery on the Welsh Coast who use renewable energy to create their award-winning coffee.
Our eighth Field Recordings release uses a range of Speyside, Highland and Bourbon whiskey oak casks, blending stouts that have aged between 6-18 months. This process smooths out the beer, adding character and enhancing the nuances of the various whiskey
barrels, balancing these flavours to create a rich and decadent base to build on.
We welcomed Duncan and Jules, from Bay Coffee Roasters, to Springwell and conducted experiments with a variety of coffees and roast profiles to see which would work best with our blended barrel-aged stout. We settled on an award winning organic Sumatran coffee from the Aceh province in Indonesia, consisting of Bourbon and Catimor varietals. The coffee beans are sourced from Ketaira, a women owned and managed coffee cooperative, and have been processed using the Giling Basah technique that is common in Indonesia, that literally translates to “wet grinding
VEGAN / CONTAINS BARLEYThe Sumatran coffee cuts through the richness and has intensified the beautiful roasty aroma, laced with red berry and chocolate, that entices you for the layers of flavours to come. An initial
hit of whiskey and light bitterness from the roasted coffee smooths into notes of dark chocolate and red currants, highlighted by the blend of barrel-aged stout. A balanced finish leaves smokey and light peaty tones of the whiskey on the palette.
The artwork for this Field Recordings release is also a collaboration, between Refold and Pete Skwiot Smith – a Saint Paul, Minneapolis based designer, known for his drum and bass and ambient music related work.

NORTH x HOPPY PEOPLE x PROBIER
Style Hazy IPA
ABV 6.4%
Hops Mosaic + Eclispe + Belma + Strata
Canned 14 February 2024
This collaboration is the official beer of Zürich Beer Festival 2024, made with our friends from Switzerland, Hoppy People.
After 5 years of home brewing the founders, Olivier and David, took the plunge to open a brewery in Sierre (Valais), known for being the sunniest city in Switzerland. They explore the endless possibilities of brewing, inspired by the craft beer revolutionaries of the early 1980’s in the US and Scandinavia.
The official beer of Zürich
especially their New England IPA, ‘No Good (Start The Dance)’, and knew that we had to invite them for a collab.
Seb was impressed with the selection of delicious beers that they were pouring at Caminha Artbeer Festival last year in Portugal,
VEGAN / CONTAINS BARLEY + WHEAT + OATSWe welcomed brewer Tiago, who joined Hoppy People in 2018, to Springwell to brew a dank, delicious and dangerously drinkable Hazy IPA. We’ve amplified the haze with a blend of wheat, oats and chit malt, letting the hops take centre stage. Mosaic, Eclipse, Belma and Strata hops create a big punch of fruity flavours: a burst of pineapple on the first sip, then notes of overripe mango, soft peach and nectarine. Finishing with a delightfully refreshing citrus zing and soft, dank, piney bitterness.
Beer Festival 2024
Pro Bier have been organising Zurich Beer Festival for 10 years, and when they heard about this collab, they made it their official beer of the festival! The festival attracts beer lovers from all over the world, known as the most popular celebration of beer in Switzerland. We feel so honoured to be able to collaborate on this celebratory beer to mark a decade of the festival taking place at The Spirgarten, in the heart of the city.
We’re excited to reunite with our friends for the festival later this month and share this seriously juicy collab.
INVISIBLE CITIES
Style Hazy IPA
ABV 6.7%
Hops Talus + Citra + Mosaic
Canned 6 March 2024
Originally created in 2022, this hazy IPA is one of our most popular exports.
Made using a fine crush of extra pale malt and oats, it’s soft, smooth, and loaded with Talus, Citra, and Mosaic hops. It’s a bounty of coconut cream, lime, succulent pineapple, and juicy orange that swirl into a laid-back delight of tropical punch.
It has been a favourite of staff across our North venues, and we just love the design from Refold. Inspired by Italo Convino’s novel, that explores the invisible edges between reality and fiction.
VEGAN / CONTAINS BARLEY + OATSLOST COSMONAUTS
Style DDH IPA
ABV 6.0%
Hops Mosaic + Ekuanot + Columbus
Canned 7 March 2024
Lost Cosmonauts has been a part of the North family for a while now. The counterpart of Sputnik, this IPA is named after the Soviet conspiracy theory that fed into the science fiction of the 60’s space age.
An unsung hero of our regular brews, that we first created in March 2019. Since then, we’ve been tweaking and adjusting the recipe to bring it to where it is now.
We started building the recipe from our beloved Transmission, adjusting the alcohol content and adding a double dry hop to really amp up the flavours! Loaded with the iconic Mosaic and backed up with Ekuanot and Columbus, it covers a lot of ground on the flavour scale. Fresh piney aroma and flavour are upfront and rounded off with bags of intense sharp tropical pineapple and guava and rich apricot and mango stone fruit.
VEGAN / CONTAINS BARLEY + OATSULTRA PHASE
Style Double IPA
ABV 8.4%
Hops Citra + Enigma + Simcoe
Canned 7 March 2024
We are entering the Ultra Phase… A sumptuous smooth base of pale malt, wheat, naked oats and rolled oats with Citra, Enigma and Simcoe hops brings continuous blasts of flavour. A base note of tinned apricot halves and pithy zest springboards candied mango, white wine-gums and gooseberry with crushed pine needles, lemon peel and passionfruit finishing with a pinching bite. Soft, fluffy, rounded and laced with dazzling fresh tropical fruit flavour.
Designed as a homage to the pulp science fiction of the 1960’s, Refold has worked his magic to create another stunning design that stands out on the supermarket shelves.
VEGAN / CONTAINS BARLEY + OATSSPUTNIK
Style Hazy Pale
ABV 5.0%
Hops Ekuanot + Columbus + Citra
Canned 7 February 2024
Sputnik was named after the first man-made satellite and was the first hazy pale that we brewed at our original Taverner’s Walk site in 2015.
A balance between a good malt presence, fermented using traditional English yeast, and dry hopped with new world hops, Ekuanot, Columbus and Citra hops. Bold flavours of juicy honeydew melon, citrus grapefruit, ripe mango and a touch of lychee finish with crisp bitterness. The ingredients we use bind together to create an easy drinking pale ale that can be enjoyed by anyone at any time.
VEGAN / CONTAINS BARLEY + WHEATFULL FATHOM 5
