HELLO! Welcome to March’s Beer Club Box! This month sees some beers that you’ll be familiar with wearing fancy new labels! Our design and marketing teams have been working really hard behind the scenes to update our core range branding. We have built up an incredible reputation for the boundary pushing artwork that James from Refold creates for our limited edition releases. We wanted each of our (new, bigger) core range to have their own visual identity, integrating clear text that tells you the beer’s name, abv and style! The beers will be rolling into a fridge near you very soon, and we’ve popped some of them into your boxes this month!

We have also been busy continuing our collab series! In February we headed to Horsforth, Deya, Drop Project and Vault City! Sunday Best, our Pale Ale brewed at Deya, has made its way into the Gold and Silver boxes this month, with more collabs to come in April! In April we are hosting our next in person Beer Club event at our original home, Taverner’s Walk. We’d love to see you for some talks, tastings and tours! More details are in this booklet!

NORTH x STILLWATER Style

Raspberry Hard Seltzer

ABV

4.8%

Hops

Mosaic

Made in collaboration with Stillwater Artisanal, this is our first venture into the world of hard seltzer! Incredibly refreshing, flavourful and thirst quenching, our hard seltzer is made with 100% natural ingredients. A nice and clean, soft water made with raw organic cane sugar sets the base before being jammed up with organic raspberry pureé and a touch of lemon zest to peak up the sharpness. A sprinkle of Mosaic hops exchange with the raspberry bringing in juicy blueberry flavour and a familiar and refreshing small bitter note on the finish. Think Triple Fruited Gose, but a little bit lighter and just as flavoursome! Low calorie, gluten free, vegan friendly, mouthwateringly tasty, tried, tasted and approved by Brian Strumke of Stillwater Artisanal himself!

NORTH x BRICK Style

Honeyberry Stout

ABV

9%

Hops

None

Brewed in collaboration with our friends at Brick Brewery, London. Following on from our first collaboration with Brick Brewery ‘In Nonsense is Strength’ we started with Honeyberry. We then got to work thinking of what kind of beer we could work it into. An all time classic beer is Titanic’s Plum Porter, so here we are, turning it up and presenting you with a big Honeyberry Stout. A spread of specialty malts made up of Extra Pale, Black, Chocolate, Brown, Crystal, Special B, Roast Wheat, Munich and Naked Oats create a base full of chewy toffee, delicate coffee and chocolate flavours. It’s rich and robust, but cutting through the middle and surrounding your pallet comes Honeyberry. With it’s sweet, aromatic honey, juicy blueberry flavours and that roasty base coming back for the finish, settling down with the fruits for a lasting finish.

ATLANTIS Style

Pale Ale

ABV

4.1%

Hops

Mosaic + Citra + Galaxy

We’ve been keeping on with the Atlantis brews over the past months, making little tweaks to the recipe here and there to maximise its drinkability. We feel like we’ve got it to a really good place right now, the base is real soft with ever such a slight twang of bitterness laying way for Mosaic, Citra and Galaxy hops to shine with sweet blueberry, pithy grapefruit and fleshy pineapple flavour. Atlantis is one of those beers that is simple in its satisfaction, always a go to, unwavering in quality, always delicious.

SPUTNIK Style

IPA

ABV

Hops

Ekuanot + Columbus + Citra

You’re getting the first look at the roll out of our new look core range! Sadly we’re losing those big four letters on the cans, but this looks way jazzier right? Now our core range has the Refold edge and all look just as elegant as our special releases. Sputnik was one of the first beers we brewed when we started back in 2015. We wanted to make a pale ale with a difference, something you could always go to but was amped up just a little bit. The dry hop line up of Sputnik has gone through a few variations over the years, but we eventually managed to find a combination that we think brings the perfect cocktail of flavours! Ekuanot, brings berry and papaya. Columbus, a slight herbal flavour and a lemon back note and Citra finishes with its unmistakable tropical flavour and subtle notes of gooseberry and grapefruit.

INVISIBLE CITIES Style

Hazy IPA

ABV

6.7%

Hops

Talus + Citra + Mosaic

Invisible Cities is a new addition to the core range. An IPA that originally was a draught exclusive, we wanted an IPA in the core range that showcased a set of different flavours that were bright, zesty and intriguing. The first time we ever used Talus hops, which at the time hadn’t had a name assigned and were called, HBC 692, (catchy right?) was in a release called ‘Into the Merzbau’. The flavours it produced were mind blowing! Coconut, lime and a slightly niche tasting note, but it’s definitely there, the little white foam bit you get on Haribo love hearts. Made with a soft malt base of extra pale and plenty of oats, with Talus hooking up with the most iconic hop duo, Citra and Mosaic, Invisible Cities makes its can debut in your beer club box! It’s a bounty of coconut cream, lime, succulent pineapple and juicy orange that swirl into a laid back delight of tropical punch that we are so excited to have in our regular rotation of beers! SEASONS REVERSE Style

Best Bitter

ABV

4.3%

Hops

Bullion + East Kent Goldings Cascade

We first brewed this beer during lockdown for some simple reasons. We missed the pub. We missed pints. We missed pints of cask ale. Now pubs are back open crispy autumn nights are setting in, we rebrewed Season Reverse so that we could actually fill up some firkins and get it pumped through a hand pull in a pub. Sparkler on ofcourse. Chevallier, Crystal, Munich, Amber Malt and Torrefied Wheat provide a fine crunchy biscuit and sweet marmalade base with a clear and rich amber hue. A blend of whole leaf Bullion, East Kent Goldings and UK Cascade allow for a strong bitter line to run through the whole drink and throw bouquets of earthy blackberry, honey and gentle floral pine aroma.

PIÑATA Style

Mango + Guava Pale Ale

ABV

4.5%

Hops

Citra + Azzaca + Mosaic

There is a lot of buzz in the brewery for Piñata’s new core range look. Not only does the label look dazzling, but for the first time Piñata has made its way into a 440ml can! If you’ve never drank Piñata before, welcome to the most sessionable summer beach party you’ve ever come across. If you’re familiar, welcome back to the party! 4.5%, juicy and hoppy, Piñata has got it all! It’s had a few recipe changes over the years but now we’ve got it right where we want it. Unfortunately for us, it’s actually a very complicated process to make Piñata. We fill two separate tanks with the same base beer, one gets a steady dry hop of Citra, Azacca and Mosaic, the other gets pumped full of Kesar Mango and Guava pureé. Once each beer is mixed, we chill the tanks down to settle out any solids, then blend the two beers into one big tank to make the supremely juicy party you’re about to experience. Tasty right? All that trouble is totally worth it in the end. VEGAN / CONTAINS WHEAT + BARLEY + OATS

SPRINGWELL PILS Style

Pilsner

ABV

4.5%

Hops

Callista + MittelFruh

Last month we celebrated Springwell Pils first anniversary! One whole year of crispy Springwell Pils! Over the years we’d been scratching that spot of thirst for lager by brewing Herzog, a Kölsch style lager. Whilst Kölsch is great and holds a special place in our hearts, it doesn’t quite hit the same spot as a pilsner. So, with an upgrade in equipment at our new brewery, we were armed with the ability to have a good go at brewing a quality Pilsner. Springwell Pils is a crisp and refreshing Pilsner Beer. Brewed using German Pilsner Malt and Cara Gold it has a body with glimmering golden colour and light sweetness. A lengthy bottom fermentation gives it a light, clean and fresh profile whilst a gentle dry hop of modern German Callista and noble Mittelfruh finishing the beer with delicate tart gooseberry, fresh herb and floral characteristics. Sunny Spring days are ahead, so keep this one nice and cold for one of those days! VEGAN / CONTAINS BARLEY

DEYA x NORTH SUNDAY BEST Style

Pale Ale

ABV

5.4%

Hops

Enigma + Galaxy + Motueka + Vic Secret

Sunday Best is a southern hemisphere pale ale. Vienna and Wheat malt bring a soft texture and light bready malt character. Hopped with Enigma, Galaxy, Motueka and Vic secret to give a bright clean tropical hit backed up with a firm bitterness.

VEGAN / CONTAINS BARLEY + WHEAT

GUEST BREWERY Back in September 2020 we teamed up with brewing legends, Deya Brewing Company, to bring you a collaboration like no other; a Triple IPA fermented with a little Kveik yeast and packed full of Lotus, Idaho 7 and Citra hops! In-house designers Thom Hobson (Deya) and James Ockelford (Refold/North) worked their artistic magic on an exclusive artwork collaboration, bringing their two individual styles together.

Owner, Theo Freyne, founded DEYA in 2015 having become obsessed with American beer and beer culture. In January 2016, Theo picked up the keys to a 4,000ft2 industrial unit in Cheltenham. In Deya’s new home, Theo was able to develop their distinctive house style - pale ales that are soft, juicy and deliciously hoppy, choosing a 500ml can (and keg, of course) as a nod to his love of American beer.
