2022 SPONSORS
This is our first ever beer festival, and we’re pretty excited about it! We originally planned to hold this event in May 2021… perhaps we were a little optimistic about the end of Covid restrictions….
23–25 SEPTEMBER 2022
However, to borrow a phrase from another brewery, good things come to those who wait. And we feel very, very good about this weekend.
3
North Star Coffee Roasters are on coffee duty, and we have street food traders set up in the beer garden. The warehouse team have done an epic job making space for our series of talks and tastings that will be running all weekend.
We have invited some of our closest friends from across the UK to come and pour their beers with us here in Leeds.
WELCOME TO THE SPRINGWELL SESSIONS
We are also incredibly excited to host our friends from Bottle Chop, who opened a gorgeous wine shop and deli in Headingley last year, and are bringing a selection of natural wines to the festival.
If you’re looking for cocktails head to the No. 3 shipping container bar. The Springwell bar team will be mixing and shaking their way through bottles of gin.
2022 marks the 25th birthday of our original bar, North Bar on New Briggate. To mark the occasion we are raising £25,000 for St George’s Crypt. Every ticket bought for this festival has contributed to our fundraising total, and we hope to raise a lot more over the weekend! Look out for raffles, charity beer tastings and more across the festival.

• This is our first festival at Springwell, and we are always looking to improve! If you have any suggestions as to how we could make the festival more accessible please get in touch on springwell@northbrewing.com.
Of course! Well behaved dogs are very welcome. Many sessions have sold out, and the festival will be busy so we ask that all dogs are kept on a lead. We also can’t allow dogs on to the brewery floor so please keep them in the taproom and beer garden.

FAQ
will be called 30 minutes before the end of each session.
St George’s Crypt is a Leeds based charity offering care, compassion and hope to the homeless, the vulnerable, and those suffering from substance dependence. 365 days a year.
North have partnered with St George’s Crypt to raise £25,000 in 12 months to support their vital work in our city. We’ve brewed beers, hosted charity barbecues, shaved our heads (shout out to North Bar Social in Otley for their incredible effort!) and run a lot of miles.
YOU CAN GIVE TO ST. GEORGE’S CRYPT HERE 8
the weekend we will be running a series of charity beer tastings in the warehouse. These tastings are running on a ‘pay as you feel’ basis, with a suggested donation of £5 (payable with your tokens) into the charity bucket.
Every ticket bought for the Springwell Sessions included a £1 donation to St George’s Crypt – adding an extra £2000 to our Throughouttotal!
The taproom team will also be running a raffle all weekend long. Head to the taproom bar to buy your tickets with the team!
Join us in the warehouse for a series of talks and tastings throughout the festival. Places are available on the door and offered on a first come, first served basis so get there early!

Little Bao Boy is an independent mobile street food vendor that serves up traditional Asian food with a western and contemporary twist. Long term friends of North they’ve been steaming clouds of joy in our taprooms since 2018!
Mor Mor grew up in Leeds, with many of the team being old school friends! They make health conscious food inspired by the cuisines, cultures and colours of the Levant, the historical name given to the region spanning the eastern Mediterranean.
Homeboy Pizzas are here slinging strictly sourdough! Their Neapolitan style pizzas have creative toppings, fluffy but chewy crusts, and a hip hop flair to their names.
When we opened the taproom at Springwell we wanted some excellent food to pair with our beers. In came Kerbside Kids. We’re biased but we think they’re the best burgers in the city. Smashed patties, homemade sauces and crispy chips!
35
Bottle Chop is a fantastic new wine shop in Far Headingley. They are based in the former Beer Ritz shop, working towards the aim of making natural wine accessible to everyone.
“It’s quite simple really, it’s just wine made the way it was always meant to be, without intervention and the addition of any crap. It’s vegan, organic and often even biodynamic. It’s grape juice... really really great grape juice.”
North Star coffee roasters are a Leeds based business, building for a fairer future. Faced with both the impact of climate change, and the volatility of the coffee market, North Star are working on their vision for a more certain future: from bean to barista.

Beer not your thing? Head to our outdoor gin bar! We’ve teamed up with No. 3 Gin to create a list of refreshing, summery cocktails showcasing the best of the spirit.
Our cocktail menu is inspired by the local area around Springwell. Our house made Bramble using wild blackberries foraged by the Springwell Tap team and the English Garden is a nod to the elderflower which grows on the Ridge each summer.
GOOD SNACKS!SERIOUSNEEDSBEER
Thanks to Serious Pig for donating snacks to our festival this weekend.
Like all the best stories… it started down the pub. Enter Serious Pig founders George and Jonny, and their drive to create the world’s best beer snack. It had to be a delicious taste complement to these fine beverages; but it also had to provide proper sustenance to power the boys through to their late dinner. Their snacking cheese is based on the best bits of a cheese on toast - the little crunchy bits left on the baking tray. Pairs brilliantly with a craft beer or glass of red.

This week has been a bit of a big one! Hours before sending these programs to print we found out that our ticketing provider was in financial trouble, and that we wouldn’t be able to access any of the ticket money for this event. In under 12 hours we have raised over £10,000 through donations from suppliers, breweries and Withoutcustomers.yoursupport this event wouldn’t be happening this weekend.
THANK YOU!
