While driving to work one morning, a familiar ad came on the radio. It was for one of the “big” fast food restaurants, advertising “a special” day whereby you purchase select items off the menu, and they will donate $1.00 per item to charity. Typically, the charity is the same each year. A flood of other companies, which do similar “special” promotions, came to mind. I feel we are being duped and led into feeling good about it. I mean let’s face it, these are multi-million dollar companies who would be donating to charities regardless, if only for tax purposes. I am even guilty of partaking in one of these “donation” days. It is fun, you fall into the hype and feel that perhaps you can’t afford to make a difference on your own, but as a collective of others, you can make a difference. These special promotions are not to be confused with the “would you like to donate $xxx to _____” at the till of grocery stores. Those are not asking you to purchase items which make their bottom line grow. I thought about the cost a family would incur by participating in one of these donation days. If instead of supporting the corporate company, because they still make a profit even if they are donating a portion to the charity, we donated the cost of the meal to the said charity, a bigger difference would be made. On this particular day, at this restaurant, it probably costs a family of four approx. $30 for a meal, potentially $6 goes to the charity providing you purchase the “special” items. How much farther would your $30 go? Some will argue with me that – we still need to eat; however, that is another “thought form” as it costs little to prepare a meal at home as opposed to eating out. It does not matter which “special” day we speak about. The bottom line is, we can do so much more than we think we can, just by putting a little thought into how we spend our dollars. It is the same with life. How do you spend, not only your money, but the time you have? Are you investing in yourself or are you investing in others? Don’t get me wrong, we all need to invest in others, for from that we earn incomes which sustain us. We also invest in our wellbeing by spending time with those we care about and in causes we are passionate about. How we spend, not only our money, but our time, has a huge influence on how productive our lives are. Are we contributing wisely? How much further would your dollars and time go if you first invested in yourself, then donated to others in a worthy fashion? Take the month of June to contemplate how you spend your dollars and time. See how much you can raise, just by investing in yourself. Nurture and nourish yourself and give as much to you as you would to others. After all, charity begins at home and expands outward!

If you have less self-confidence than you would like, don’t worry, there are ways to build it up. First off you don’t even have to go out seeking it from some outside force or person. You have the ability. It might not happen overnight, but slowly and surely with time and practice, you too can be a self-confident person. Inside and out!

“Once we believe in ourselves, we can risk curiosity, wonder, spontaneous delight, or any experience that reveals the human spirit.” – E.E. Cummings I drive past a high school every day on my way to work. It gives me an opportunity to see a diverse group of young people and observe how they interact with their peers. I can’t help but notice the ones who are full of confidence, they seem to shine a little brighter than others and stand out. It is like they are glowing for all the world to see. One day, in particular, I noticed one young lady who seemed to have it all together. Right after seeing her, I saw an adult, probably on their way to work, walking like any beam of confidence had been eradicated by a life that had worn her down.

Rules to build your self-confidence are  Stay away from negativity. Especially the negativity you create in your own mind.  Change your body language and image. Stand tall, maintain eye contact, walk with your head up, smile, walk with purpose – don’t shuffle along. Even if you are not going out – brush your hair - wash your face- brush your teeth and get dressed – might seem like a no-brainer but looking your best is a real boost to how you feel about yourself.  Get to know yourself. Act positive, notice when you slip into negative and switch it up!  Know your principals and morals and live by them.  Speak slowly – this is key when you slow down you say what you want and mean rather than rambling in a big rush. People listen when you speak at a normal rate. When you are saying things quickly, they only get part of it to register and they stop listening.  Learn new things. If you are not sure of something, google it, learn all you can. Knowledge is power, and if you are going into something new and don’t understand it, you are one step behind the rest of the group. You don’t even need to share your knowledge, just knowing that you know what others are talking about is a boost in confidence.  Don’t procrastinate. If you feel yourself putting something off, do it. Preferably first thing in the morning. Get it out of your way. You will feel great about yourself for accomplishing it.  Clean your home environment. Amazing how the energy shifts when you clean. Having a clean place to return to at the end of the day is a great way to boost your feelings of safety. Consider it a sacred sanctuary that no matter what goes on in the outside world, here you are king or queen.

I started to pay attention. Most of the young people had a spring in their step, walking heads held high, chatting with their friends or with purpose even if they were alone. They were excited by some prospect of the day ahead, and you can see it in their body language. Most of the adults I see have their heads down and seem internalized on thoughts and troubles. I think about this for a few days. I come to the understanding that all of us are born without confidence, we are blank slates ready to be written upon, erased and written upon again. Throughout our life, we are shaped by the beliefs of our parents, teachers, peers, politicians, religious leaders, and especially all forms of media, and these all get mixed into a concoction which forms our beliefs. We take the voices of all those people with us throughout life, and we will have our confidence built up, and we will have it torn down, over and over. Another thought floated in, that as adults, we tend to hold onto those moments of being torn down and very rarely hold onto the ones that build us up. When something does not go according to our plans, our memories of past failures come up first. It would be nice if that soft voice from our favorite teacher floated in with her kind words of how wonderful we were doing, but alas this is not what comes forward. Self-confident people are admired and inspire confidence in others. They take risks and face their fears head-on. They know that no matter what comes their way, they have the ability to get past it. Confident people respect themselves and usually are satisfied with the life they have. Sure, everyone has down moments, but if you have self-confidence, they are few and far between.

Self-confidence is extremely important in our day to day successes. It is worth taking the time to work on it. Another thought to ponder, build upon others self-confidence whenever you can. For there is no can’t really and truly when we come right down to it. Each of us can accomplish anything we want.

“Somehow I can’t believe that there are any heights that can’t be scaled by a man who knows the secrets of making dreams come true. This special secret, it seems to me, can be summarized in four C s. They are curiosity, confidence, courage, and constancy, and the greatest of all is confidence. When you believe in a thing, believe in it all the way, implicitly and unquestionable..” Walt Disney

True self-confidence is not the surface smile and brave face you put on when with your peers and don’t want to admit you can’t do something. It is rooted deep within your being and comes from having a solid foundation. A foundation that is built layer upon layer from one core belief – the belief in yourself. If you don’t believe in yourself, don’t expect others to believe in you either. The foundation of self-confidence has layers of self-efficacy – you believe in your ability to accomplish tasks and succeed and self-esteem – confidence in one’s worth and abilities. Seems pretty simple when broken down like this, yet depending on our “slate”, it could be a difficult task to re-write. But, re-write you can!

“The authentic self is the soul made visible” Sarah Ban Breathnach

It is a joyful thing to live life authentically, but most in our culture probably do not. What does it mean to be our authentic selves, and why is it hard to do? I like to think of soul as our true essence, and ego as the “packaging” that builds up around us as we go through our lives.

ignoring and denying our true nature. Think how wonderful you feel when you are doing something that you really love, be it gardening, building something, creating art, dancing or walking in the forest. In these moments, what you are doing is in alignment with your true essence, so there is no resistance. You feel relaxed, forgetting about yourself and just being in the moment.

Our souls come here to experience physical reality and to share earthly experience with other souls. Each soul has its own unique nature, which, ideally, would be expressed through our personality as we take this journey. Again, ideally, parents would provide love and nourishment, but allow the child’s true nature to emerge—like planting a flower and caring for it so it can be the best possible manifestation of its being.

We treasure these moments because for a time, we are nurturing our soul. Ego slips away, and when that happens what is left is soul. We use terms such as “soul satisfying” or “good for the soul.” We appreciate these moments so much because they are such a contrast with our usual way of being, and they are rare.

Typically, this is not what happens. Instead, parents often see children as a blank slate to be programmed according to their beliefs and expectations. Media influences begin to shape children before they even start school. Once in school, children must fit a mold in order to be considered successful.

That is not how it should be. The authentic, unique aspects of our being, be they gifts and talents, a loving nature or simply our own true thoughts, are our gift to the world. We came to share our soul, and to experience the souls of others. However, if we are all hiding our souls behind the costume of ego, we miss the whole point of being here.

Socially, throughout school children are under pressure to conform. For whatever reason, children ridicule or reject those who are different. At an early age children begin to strive to be like others rather than simply and unselfconsciously being themselves. This is like an iris growing in the garden, looking around at the roses and daisies and then trying to reshape itself.

We did not come to this earth simply to do our job, make money, acquire things, and be like everyone else. We did not come to make ourselves so busy that we have no time to feel our soul, and to listen to its gentle guidance. We came to blossom into the fullest expression of our true nature, our authentic self—who we were destined to be before we were shaped into someone else. There is still time.

Ego takes this all in. Ego wants to get love and approval, and knows it can do that by pleasing others, or at least acting in accordance with their expectations. Ego wants to be admired and respected, and knows it can do that by succeeding in the ways that society recognizes and accepts. Slowly the uniqueness of the individual soul has become so constrained by the demands of ego that we do not even truly know ourselves—like the iris snipping its petals to try to make them look like the ones on the daisies.

A question came through on the Let Love In page* regarding how much more easeful it is to 'rechoose' who you are while traveling, e.g., shedding old patterns, etc., and what a struggle it can be to maintain that when you get back home. I wanted to share my reply here because I thought how similar the experience of a long travel trip is, to the process of change we go through during our ongoing 'inner travel' trips and awakening process. Both trigger similar challenges when it comes to how to stay true to your 'new' while continuing to still be in some 'old'.

time post-travel to integrate your newfound self into your old day to day life.

Either way, a gradual, ongoing, checking in with yourself is helpful. Ask yourself "is this still true for me? Does this still feel good for me?" regarding old habits or things you used to do. If you feel you are one person while traveling, or when around 'conscious' events, but then another person at home, what is it that you do while traveling that feels so good, and are you doing it in your life at home? What qualities emerge out of you in your 'new reality' that you find you suppress for some reason in your 'old reality.'

When we travel (actual travel or inner growth) we get a chance to discover more of who we are without being boxed into being that person's daughter, that person's brother, that person's friend for 20+ years. Part of the 'freedom' feeling of travel is, I think, that we are free of so many of the preconceptions people have of us that somehow influence how we are whenever we are around that person or around a certain environment or community. And then when we come back from travel it can be challenging to maintain our new expansion, our newfound version of ourselves, while being around people who are still relating to us as if we are the 'old' us, which in turn has the potential to trigger or bring out 'the old us'.

I've found that I've experienced major transformations with every big travel (actual and inner) journey, and always end up feeling a slightly different version of myself. Still me, but a new chapter me. Which means that life has been full of curvy detours and mountains and valleys rather than being a predictable straight line, with constant reshuffling and rechoosing. If you are one who likes expanding and likes traveling (be it inner or outer journeys), the key is to make peace with the fact that your identity is going to keep evolving and unfolding and changing. And that means it will be difficult for other people, or your own self, to box you into a set category. Which can feel disconcerting because who doesn't like a bit of stability, but there is also a lot of freedom in that, and excitement too....and ironically the stability comes when you realise that all this changing is actually a response to you becoming more and more aligned with your inner truth and core which is Stability Central.

It's really common after a big travel experience (again, actual or inner) to no longer resonate with some, or a lot, of your home environment, be it friends, work, family, geographic area, your appearance, etc. Some people find themselves hanging out on the outskirts of their old life, like an outsider looking in, not quite share where or if they fit in anymore. Others find themselves squashed quite quickly back into their old life, and wonder, as my Let Love In commenter wondered, if all those positive transformations have been lost.

Our society tends to project onto people that stability comes from 'settling down' which can be translated (for some) to mean staying the same. So our home environment can subconsciously have that effect on us, it is our cave comfort zone. It can also be the base from which we allow ourselves to continuously fly. We don't really have to choose between old and new - we can choose the best of both worlds, choose what works for us, and let go of the rest.

There can be an inner struggle between the 'old' you and the 'newfound' you. I don't want to say 'new' you, because it is not so much a new you, rather it is more of the true you, and thus 'newfound' is more apt. So the old you and newfound you are having a bit of a moment thinking well how does this work? How do I be the 'newfound' me while living in my 'old' environment?

What is your experience of integrating your old and new realities, after major (inner or outer) travel chapters?

The truth is, it is different for everyone. Some people find they can't do it, and travel (actual or inner) becomes the catalyst for a more permanent move away from an area or group of friends or line of work. For others, it takes some

The Druid Year Alban Hefin/Litha/Summer Solstice Modern Tradition – 21 Jun 2016 Old Tradition - Sun at 0 degrees Cancer – 20 Jun 2016 The Summer Solstice is THE most well-known of the pagan festivals, and is famously celebrated with a dawn ritual at Stonehenge, where crowds of people flock to watch the sun rise with drumming, singing and dancing. It heralds the Sun at its most powerful point and the height of Summer with the longest day. The colours of the Solstice are the colours of Fire -- Reds, Oranges, Yellows, and Golds – representing the Sun as giver of warmth, light, life. The Sun speaks to us of courage and nobility. Fire is purifying and cleansing but it takes a courageous and noble heart to choose to open itself up to its powerful light where no shadows can reside, nothing can be hidden. Solstice symbols – yellow flowers (sunflowers, primroses, marigolds, buttercups), Sun Discs, Decorated wheels, circles, orbs, candles. 14

What our ancestors did…

London. Some are better advertised than others but you can usually find them listed in the ‘what’s on’ pages of local papers.

In every day terms, this is the time when the crops are full grown and ripening. The wise women would gather wild plants for drying, for medicinal and magical use. There are still places where the day is called ‘Gathering Day’ in honour of this.

In vigils, modern day Druids will focus their meditations on personal growth and ambitions, praying for enlightenment and success in their efforts.

It is the time of maximum light – the longest day; the shortest night. And as such it was considered the most powerful day of the year when the Sun God was the supreme victor over darkness.

At ancient and sacred sites throughout Britain and Ireland, modern day Druids meet before dawn and herald the rising of the Sun with bonfires, rituals, song and dance, much like their ancestors. Those that cannot attend one of the group rituals will usually perform a solo ritual at dawn, and again at noon.

Our ancestors would begin the ‘festival’ at sunset the day before on Midsummers eve. When it was fully dark they would extinguish flames/candles to become fully immersed in the darkness, and think upon their connection with the earth – dust to dust – and their connection with the Sun for ‘life’. During the vigil they neither ate nor drank, but prayed for the successful harvest of crops, and plentiful animals to hunt. They would also pray for success in their personal ambitions, whatever they may be.

The day is usually dedicated to any activity that honours the Sun and its power, such as crafting amulets, incenses, candles, oils. The sun is considered the great healer and any plants gathered at this time, for medicinal and magical properties, are considered to be at their most potent. Or any arts and crafts that depict and honour, the sun.

There would be a watcher of the eastern sky, looking for the first signs of the dawn and who would send runners around the village calling folks to arise. They would meet at a central point within minutes. Then they would process, led by their head priest or chieftain, to their sacred space where they would gather in a circle and take part in a ritual to welcome the imminent Sun God.

Recipes for a Solstice ‘Oil’ for healing and well-being… 1) Blending bought oils In a small dropper bottle, pour to ¾ full with grapeseed oil. Then add a few drops each of Frankincense oil, Cinnamon Oil, and orange extract. Seal the bottle, then shake to blend. Leave on a sunny window sill to receive the power of the sun at Solstice. 2) Making an oil infusion In a glass jar with sealable lid (a clean jam jar will do), 3/4 fill with sweet almond oil. Into the jar chop and add the following: Marigold petals Sunflower seeds (shelled) Grated rind of an orange A small sprig of Rosemary or Lavender A pinch of Cinnamon A pinch of Ginger Use more sweet almond oil to top the jar up to ½” below the rim and seal the lid. Leave to stand in a sunny spot to receive the power of the sun at Solstice.

At the first glimpse of the sunlight over the horizon, the priest would sound a horn, and all the people would erupt in cheering, blowing of whistles and banging of drums. If musicians were present they would play festive music as people watched the sun rise above the horizon. Then the priest would call for silence to conclude the dawn ritual. The rest of the morning was spent in feasting and napping. At noon, another ritual was held, when the sun was at its highest on the longest day – THE most potent light and energy of the year. The priests would light a bonfire blessing it and ‘drawing down the power of the sun’ into its flames, and any that wanted to could light their Sun candles from it, thereby transferring its potency to their candle. This would be taken home and walked through the rooms, lighting small candles as they went. They were left to burn down bringing the blessing of light and success into their home for the next year.

Ways that you can honour the time…   

The afternoon and evening was a time for a fair/market; for games; for songs and dancing; for betrothals to become handfastings; for naming ceremonies; for story-tellers; for feasting and drinking. When the sun set the festival day was declared over and folks returned to their homes. What Druids usually do… As was done in days of old, the Mid-Summer celebration begins at sunset on the Eve. Most will hold a token vigil in private. But for those that want to attend a public vigil, there are many held in places such as Glastonbury, Stonehenge, and at Parliament Hill in

Spend the day outdoors – picnics, walks, barbecues – time with family and friends Attend a Druid public vigil, &/or a Solstice Rite. Think about projects that you have begun and which are nearing completion. Meditate on their successful ‘ripening and harvest’.

Make something that depicts and honours the Sun and its healing power – try the ‘Making an oil infusion’ recipe given above.

Hold your own ritual. Refer to my original ‘script for basic ritual’ and adapt it for honouring the Sun and bringer of life.

Or, more to the point, why do I use essential oils? They are so much a part of my everyday life, I cannot imagine a day going by without using them. Skin care, body care, mental health care, physical care and spiritual care – I use them for all of these and even more!

before doing a reading – and Sacred Mountain™ is also a favorite for these times.

I choose my oils intuitively, so generally I don’t use the same oils all the time. I love having an abundance of really good quality oils to work with, and a little bit usually goes a very long way.

In the morning when I get up, I shower with a facial cleanser that has orange essential oil as the base. If I use a shower gel, it is also made with a blend of essential oils. My shampoos are made with copaiba and vanilla essential oils – or lavender and mint, or just plain lavender. They all smell clean and fresh, without the ‘chemical’ smell of regular soaps and shampoos.

Raindrop Treatments are one of my favorite ways of working with the oils. This treatment is a gentle, effective way to receive a dose of love, which is really what healing is all about. I cook with my oils, share them, smell them – I write about them and I encourage almost every person I come into contact with to at least give them a try. I work with them constantly and I cannot imagine a life without them.

I love the energy, the frequency of my essential oils. Sometimes I use a single – cedarwood to calm, lemon to refresh, lavender to balance – other times I use blends. Abundance™ brings the frequency of abundance to my day – I start every day with a drop on my neck at the base of my skull. Joy™ goes over my heart – I want to make sure that I have that frequency with me as I move through my day. Thieves™ I use in my mouth after I brush my teeth – I sort of ‘swab’ the back of my throat with it to help me make sure that any little ‘bug’ that is trying to work its way into my system is halted in its tracks. I also take a drop on my fingertips and run them down the side of my neck – giving the glands there a bit of a boost.

I use Young Living essential oils. They have a good selection of single oils and some really awesome blends. They are very good quality, and their commitment is to essential oils that are made from organic or wild crafted plants and that are produced by steam distillation or cold pressing. There are no chemicals used in the extraction, and what I get is essential oil that is not adulterated with any chemicals. I can smell the sharpness of chemicals in oils that are of lesser quality – and so can you.

Play with essential oils. Buy them from several suppliers. Smell them, read about them, study the effects – how you feel when you use them and when you don’t. They are nature’s gift to us….let us open the gift and use it wisely.

I like to take some spiritual support with me, so I use one or more of Sacred Mountain™, Believe™, Magnify Your Purpose™, Highest Potential™….I feel as though I am going into my day supported by all of me, and able to be aware of All That Is, consciously.

Vera

Throughout the day I put a drop lavender or Thieves™ on my body whenever I am drawn to do so. Eucalyptus comes with me everywhere, as does Raven™ (for breathing difficulties) and peppermint for digestive help and to get my brain in gear.

For more information on Young Living Essential oils and blends, please contact me by email at lightvera1@gmail.com Or go to the website: www.youngliving.org

I use essential oils when I am working with people doing Reiki or any type of healing work. I love to inhale frankincense

Today we will be looking at a pose known as bridge pose or Setu Bandha Sarvangasana. We will look at how to properly carry out the pose, the benefits you can get from it and anything that you need to consider before beginning. Please read the entire article before trying the pose.

2. As you exhale press your inner feet and arms against the floor and lift your bottom. You should firm the bottom but not harden it. Make sure your thighs are parallel to your inner feet. Place your arms under your pelvis and extend through the arms to rest on the top of your shoulders.

How to Carry Out the Pose We have put together instructions on how to carry out the pose correctly however there are also a number of modifications that can be done to make the pose easier as well as deeper. These modifications will be found lower in the article.

3. Lift your bottom higher so that the thighs are parallel to the floor and the knees are over the heels. You should make sure you push the knees forward away from the hips and lengthen the tailbone towards the knees. 4. Lift your chin so that you move it away from the chest and firm the shoulder blades against the back. At the same time you should press the sternum towards the chin. Firming your outer arms you should broaden the shoulder blades and lift the space between them at the base of the neck up into the torso.

1. Begin the pose by lying flat on your back with your legs outstretched and your arms by your sides. If you have any problems with your neck you might want to support it by placing a blanket under your shoulders. Bend your knees and place your feet flat on the floor. Bring you heels as close to your sitting bones as possible.

5. Remain in the pose for 30 – 60 seconds and then you should roll your spine gently down on to the floor with an exhalation. Tips and Precautions If you have a neck injury then you should avoid practising this pose unless you have expert supervision as you could do yourself more damage. Also if you are new to this pose it is important to avoid pulling the shoulders away from the ears as this can over stretch the neck. One variation on this pose to increase the intensity can be done by bringing the right knee in against the body on an exhalation. Then as you inhale extend the leg perpendicular to the floor, hold for 30 seconds and then as you exhale return it to the floor and repeat with the other leg. You can deepen the pose by lifting the heels off the floor and pushing your tailbone closer the pubis. Leaving your tailbone where it is lower your heels back to the floor. Benefits and Focus This pose will help to stretch out the chest, neck and spine and stimulate the abdominal organs, lungs and thyroid. This means that it can help to rejuvenate tired legs and to improve your digestion. One of the biggest advantages of this pose is that it can calm the brain which makes it very useful for stress and mild depression. In addition it can help to relieve menopause symptoms as well as menstrual cramps. The pose can be useful at reducing anxiety, fatigue, backache, headaches and insomnia. Finally it is also useful for conditions such as asthma, high blood pressure, osteoporosis and sinusitis. Mercedes Aspland Source: www.NewAgeArticles.comArticle

Find clarity and glide into other possibilities Today when I asked, "what is the power animal?" Heron came to mind. As Heron comes gliding in their message to us this month is: “Try and glide along like we do. We know this is not always easy but sometimes letting things go even for a short time helps you to find clarity and glide into other possibilities. We Herons have long legs this helps us stay grounded. As well as perhaps allows us to see what you don’t in the unseen. So trust the process there may indeed be unseen forces at work helping you along. Stay grounded if you are frazzled. Give your mind and emotions a break and take one step at a time. Resting in between these two things lies the peace, clarity and possibilities within you, the universe and the Creator. Yours in groundedness and clarity The Herons

traveling in Sagittarius. here he can become a wildfire - he can be a little bit unpredictable at the same time has the ability to put a little bounce in your step, and bring optimism. Mars continues his Retrograde (inner spiral) and has temporarily moved back into Scorpio – one of his power positions. Use this time to strategically plan your next move. What are you passionately engaged in, make your plan to funnel that energy into a motivator and force. Take care on the days leading up to the very last day of the month when he finally turns direct.

Planetary Action Mars continues in his retrograde/inner spiral until the very end of June. This can be an explosive time for you as he fires up his engines and gets back to gathering the things you need. Mars is asking you to look within at your philosophies in life as they are manifested in the material world … what is working and what is not. If you have been making adjustments and commitments to what matters most, you will see the changes as you move into July. This is a great time to clean out the pipes and find a new way (or get back to old ways) of how the physical body is working. Use the time you have left to set yourself up for a successful summer.

Mars, watch squares, conjunctions and oppositions with the Moon for the Month –3, 9, 17, 24, 30 … Mars is SD on the 29th Use Caution! Be careful of temper tantrums and accidents! RED LIGHT

Saturn and Pluto continue in a deep retrograde. Neptune joins them with an inner spiral at the middle of the month.

Jupiter… Our planet of growth, wisdom, opportunities and excess. Jupiter is very slow moving which allows us to settle in and grasp what opportunities are presenting themselves in your life. Jupiter continues his trek through Virgo. Don’t let yourself get overwhelmed with too many details. Jupiter moved direct May 9th but the shadow period will last all the way until the first week of July. Start utilizing the opportunities and wisdom you have gathered over the last few months.

Double Whammy and challenging Days for the Month (personal planets with the moon) Days to watch for are 18, 26 & 29 Most Challenging day is the 29 … use short meditative breaks throughout the day – remember to breathe. Lots of great favorite Meditation or relaxed days for the Month – best days 6th 13, 16, 21, 23 and 29 … Experiment with different types of meditation such as deep breathing moving chi gong, walking, music, meditation - silence or guided, gentle yoga or soft stretching.

Jupiter Squares and Oppositions with the Moon for the Month – 19, 26… Don’t lose sight of your budget, overindulging or over-committing, watch that others do not take advantage of your generosity.

Mercury, our planet of communication in all forms from old fashioned verbal & written to communication that travels on sound waves. Mercury stays in Taurus until the middle of June we move out the Shadow by the 7th of June. By the middle of the month communication moves into warp speed. If you need to negotiate something … do it after the 13th when he gets to utilize one of his most favorite scripts … Gemini. Be quick to act if you need his help – because me speedily moves into Cancer at the end of the month.

Saturn… Our planet of boundaries, restrictions, limitations and possibly fear. Saturn is moving through Sagittarius, and will travel through this fiery optimistic energy for the next couple of years. Saturn in Sagittarius will help you infuse flexibility and passion and bounce back into what you are manifesting, focus on healthy boundaries! Think quality over quantity. He continues his long Retrograde (inner spiral). This is a great time to review your organization skills. Mercury is the planet of creating the paperwork … but Saturn supports your ability to get organized. This inner spiral will last until the middle of August.

Mercury squares and oppositions with the Moon for the Month –10, 18, 26 … Think before you speak, CHOOSE YOUR WORDS WISELY! Venus … our planet of Love, Security which often shows up as monetary wants and what we like to surround ourselves with (art, greenery, food, music, colour, sparkly things) … Venus continues to move through Gemini where you can get all intellectually beautiful ;-). Venus and Mercury will be powerful allies we can lean as we work through our spring and early summer months. Then on the 17th she moves to Cancer … Think Botticelli’s Venus rising from the water.

Saturn conjunctions, squares and oppositions with the Moon for the Month –11, 18, 25 … You may feel that life is hard work. STEP UP and MEET THE CHALLENGE! Uranus … Unleash your Genius, this is our planet of sudden ideas and change. Uranus is slowly moving through Aries – creating impulsive moments that focus on new and innovative ideas. Expect innovative ideas to inspire, new energy sources are available. Be a Rebel with a cause – let the radical inner changes – shine out into your environment!

Venus squares and oppositions with the Moon for the Month –12, 20, 27 … Heartache/domestic and security challenges. LOVE and EMBRACE LIFE anyway!

Neptune … Our planet that dissolves boundaries and limitations, the window into what is beyond the physical world, (the last planet in our solar system as we know it today). Neptune continues through Pisces so take care with experimentation of drugs and alcohol and Be MindFul of what you

Mars … Our planet of action, passion and anger. It is important for you to connect to and work with your Martian energy – utilizing healthy expressions of action. Mars is 32

are creating that is connected to the collective. Take care not to over-indulge in the 7 deadly sins. Connect with a regular routine to your guides, healing angels, and observer self. Neptune turns inward in a very long retrograde that will last until mid-November, time to explore your innerverse.

Solar/Lunar cycles Step outdoors and connect to your early evening sky, do it again in the early morning just as the Sun peaks out from the horizon, consciously wake from one dream and step into another. The lunar cycle is a monthly marker giving us a time line in which to complete old tasks, then birth the new. Connect to our genetic/collective habits and patterns of our multi-dimensional bodies.

The Dwarf Planets … Take care not to get caught up in the harsher side of these dwarfs – they may not have cleared their orbit of debris but they still pack a lot into their symbolic language. We have just begun the exploration of some of the newly discovered. Except for Ceres they are all very slow moving – change is very slow and gradual.

As above So below.

Pluto… Our planet of change, control (ego) and power. Pluto slowly plods along moving through Capricorn and is in a very long Retrograde (inner spiral) – Pluto continues to push for change to our old and outworn patterns of dictatorship and inflexible leadership (although you will continue to feel the resistance. Let go of the need to control and simply BE a powerful advocate for change. This retrograde will last until the end of September, focus on inner change.

The New Moon in Gemini on June 4th at 8:00pm PT / 11:00pm AT.

Dynamic build toward something new and exciting. Snap-shot: This New Moon lacks functional flow yet carries gifts of optimistic change and intellectual reason. Decision making may seem difficult as you may tend to overthink (mind grind could be very troublesome). There is a difficult mix of extreme generosity which can turn into extreme extravagance or indulgent behaviours due to a lack of self-confidence that undermines your feelings of selfworth. What you are dreaming of and the reality of your situation may not seem to line up. Guard against making snap decisions that you may regret, instead focus on opportunities that create lasting change. There is a very strong support system that accompanies this New Moon, so work it through. Action may seem a little lagging behind but © dusk Fotolia.com things will pick up so try not to be Photo: unrealistic of -what is expected.

Makemake… who brings quantum experiences and unexpected genius; is traveling at 00 degrees Libra – but has moved direct utilize structures that you have been working on that will continue to bring your relationship with the earth and the macrocosm into balance. Eris… only desires equality! This warrior goddess is a truly feminine version of Mars. Evoke and balance the warrior within, as she fearlessly moves through Aries (very slow moving). Haumea… who is the real catalyst for Transformation is currently at 22 degrees Libra. She brings a balance back to the goddess as she takes back her power on earth. Currently retrograding (inward spiral) use this time to complete inner transformations that you have been working on.

The Full Moon a Gemini / Sagittarius Opposition on June 20th at 4:00 am PT / 7:00 am AT The sky is lit up – so you can see where you are headed … is it in the right direction? Complete your goals. Snap-shot: Self Esteem issues and absent mindedness may be in or out of focus during this Full Moon.

Ceres… loves the work or activity of the harvest, she continues to travel through Aries. Time to harvest ideas and new ways of moving forward with drive and passion.

Allow the light of the Full Moon to light your path. Be sure to stay true to your course … you may find yourself overly optimistic about exuberant ideas, but exercise caution as the potential of unexpected obstacles may easily knock you off your path. Put in extra effort toward focusing mental energies in a positive way, don’t fall into a trap of missing out on potential opportunities because you are distracted. You may feel like a magnet attracting unexpected obstacles, persevere and watch your reputation. Beginning: June 1 – 4 – Citrine Point: Look to your finances this week. Give where you have not dreamt that you had the wherewithal to give, and at the same time watch that you spend where you want to spend, not where you think you should spend. This is where you begin to have awareness of financial maturity. By watching your patterns and stepping back from habits that do not serve you, you will have more than enough to give where it is needed.

Week 1: June 5 - 11 – Jasper: Feel the warmth of earth in this week. Find a rock to sit on, look to the earth for a stone to carry with you. Feel it nurture and soothe your heart and calm your mind. Sleep with it in your bed if possible, or beside you if it is not. Meditate with it in your hand or lying on your heart centre. Feel it connect you all the way into mother earth.

Week 2: June 12 - 18 – Sillimanite: This particular piece comes from the Fraser River. Allow your cells to become oxygenated by visualizing yourself in the river, standing as the water surges around you. Feel your sorrows and fears wash away in the clean, fresh water. Tingle with the cool freshness. Get yourself to moving water where ever you can. Stand in a downpour, celebrate water and all that it gifts you with. Connect your water being to the water on this planet.

Week 3: June 19 - 25 – Dogtooth Calcite: This week there is much to see that is not immediately visible. Open your eyes and your intuition. There is joy and satisfaction to be found when we trust our discernment – you will experience so much by opening yourself to your Self.

Ending: June 26 - 30 – Turquoise: You who are seeking expansion take this time to go higher and deeper than you have previously gone. Draw these warm days and nights close to you. Sit where you are able to absorb the warmth of the sun and the earth. Draw the energies into you and observe how they mix together in your cells. Dare to go beyond… 37

new Moon June 4

Our June new moon arrives at 7:59 pm PDT on June 4th in Gemini. Like all new moons, we are beginning a new 28-day cycle where all possibilities are on the table. We get to play with our future, make new plans, and question old habits, beliefs, and behaviors. There is excitement when a new moon arrives, and our zealousness to bring something new to our lives, can have us focusing on many ideas at once. The first two weeks of the 28-day cycle are the best time to make fresh starts and begin new projects. Don’t be disheartened if not all of your "wishes" take flight, you will not succeed in all, but you can lay the groundwork now for future success. This new moon will shine a light upon all you love and value. Literally, due to Venus being close to the sun and moon, this moon shines upon the areas of love and money. Sounds splendid doesn’t it? Saturn is retrograde, and along with some other planets having a little fun, you will be charged to keep things real. Venus will soften our view of life and make the rough edges appear smooth, in a dreamy romantic way. It is perfect actually for this Gemini moon after all Gemini is the duality sign. What is real and what is fantasy? That will be our biggest challenge with this new moon. Keep your expectations in check, watch out for signs of greed, delusion, and fear, and you should do just fine. Before you start to set your intentions this month, gather the following crystals – hematite, clear quartz, lapis lazuli, citrine and amethyst to add to your moon crystals. As this moon is shining a light upon all you love and value, think upon that for a couple of days leading up to the 4th. In the areas of love and money, what new plans do you wish to make for the future? Remember, we are in Gemini and as such you will probably be shown both sides of the equation. From that, you can set your intentions. In the area of love, you might want to spend more time with those you love, or if you are single, you will obviously be setting the intent for a partner to come into your life. One thing we can all intend, is to embrace ourselves with as much love as we bestow upon others. In the area of finances, you might require a little more to get you through each month, or you might feel you have enough but want to be able to give more to those in need. On the evening of the new moon, gather your crystals and set them up in an appealing way to you. You might wish to include a candle and other token items you value. I suggest setting this up on a small plate that you can leave for the 28-days, and that you can move around your home at will. From this point on, do what feels comfortable to you. You might have been setting your intentions as you set up your crystals, infusing them with your wishes. If you prefer to write out your intentions, do so now and place the list under your crystals. You might wish just to sit quietly with your thoughts. If so, light a candle, play some soft background music, and ask your angels to join you. Think about what you truly love and value. Allow your mind to wander and see what comes forward. Let your imagination flow with all possibilities and let the energy of this dark moon bring it to light. It does not matter how you honor the moon. You are honoring yourself and your life by taking the time each month to sit with what is going on in your life, and either release what is not working, or bring in something new. After all what we truly love and value most, or should, is ourselves, when we are at our best, we are able to help others be their best. Marlene

Full Moon June 20

The full Strawberry Moon arrives in Sagittarius on May 20th, at 4:02 am PDT. If you have been following along with these Moon reports, you might think “Hey! Wait a minute; Marlene made a mistake! The full moon was in Sagittarius last month!” Not a mistake, again the full moon is in Sagittarius. I like that Sagittarius is once again lending a calm, balanced emotional outlook to whatever we are contemplating releasing. It is interesting to note that this full moon is carrying on the theme of love and money! Full moon focus’s our attention on all relationships and has itself a relationship with the previous new moon. Given that both bring to our attention, love and money, we are having a double whammy this month. Think of this full moon as harvest time, what you started on June 4th can now be fine-tuned or completed depending. This full moon should bring you in touch with your needs, and you should be able to see where there is disharmony or imbalance. Obstacles will have come up, and now you get to put your ideas for improvement into place. Ensure you have your crystals that you set up for the new moon, beside you. Let us toast our progress with a glass of sparkling wine (alcoholic or non-alcohol). Place a couple of fresh strawberries in the glass and then pour the wine over them. The strawberries should give it a taste of summer and remind us of how sweet life can be when we let go of what is no longer serving us. Watch the bubbles rise to the top of the glass and burst through the surface, imagine the obstacles you have faced lately rising out of you, through your crown and dissipating like little sparkles into the universe. Be bubbly like the wine and don’t allow your thoughts to become cynical and sad – the light of the full moon tends to shine a spotlight on the bits we keep hidden away in the shadows. Face your shadows, and understand that right now you are being offered keen perception and intuitive insight so that you may see them in a new light and heal them. It does not matter if what holds you back from true love or financial security was ingrained in you earlier in this lifetime or if you brought it forth from another lifetime, now you can break those bonds easily. Enjoy the light of the moon and feel it infuse you with the power and courage to release what holds you back from having true love and financial security. Marlene

This month the runes seem to be sending quite a mix. The cast was, Ehwaz reversed, Sowilo, and Raidho reversed. Ehwaz reversed is not necessarily a bad omen, if it is paired with positive runes it can mean the same as upright. I see it as a sign of change that we have to undergo whether we like it or not. Sowilo is always positive and is one of the runes of victory and a sign of great power. This indicates that we will see victory over whatever changes we must endure. The last rune is Raidho reversed. Because it is reversed, it can indicate problems along the way. As with most life changes, there are always bumps in the road and we need to be cautious and patient. We are living in tumultuous times, which are testing our beliefs and our way of life. We need to adapt if we hope to survive, but as much as change is frightening for us, the runes also show that we will pass through the fire stronger than ever as long as we hold true to our integrity and our humanity. Until next month, SkĂĽl min ven

Message from the Angels June 2016 Greetings, Our message for you this month, find the thrill. No matter what you are doing, allow yourself to fill with adrenaline and truly feel the excitement. Allow yourself to feel excited. It might seem that, placed in front of you is one conflict after another. We will tell you that most of your obstacles arise from conflict. They appear as if by magic, yet you create them by your wills or desires thwarted by others; who have equal wills and desires. We don’t ask that you don’t have the desire, or that you use your will. For both, are what propel you towards your goals. If you did not have wills and desires, your life would be meaningless. When you feel thwarted, use that energy to create excitement rather than anger. Excitement creates a joyous, positive tone within your being and allows you to achieve your desires without forcing your will.

We want you to be fully supported and happy in your life and would not bring to you anything you could not handle. You are masters at adapting to your environment. Trust and flow with the changes rather than struggle with them. The path will be clear and appear each step of the way, all you have to do is walk in faith. The promised outcome of the changes you are going through is an abundant and stable life. Keep putting one foot in front of the other and greet the sun each day with a smile and gratitude. Find the thrill that life is offering you. Grab hold of it tight and use it to propel you into your next direction. Life is all about having to experience itself from a place of love. When you are thrilled, you desire to be the best you can, and you achieve so much more. In excitement the power of three

Through Mcobb

Change is inevitable, for some it is happening slower than you would like – let it come at its natural pace, stop trying to pull it towards you faster. You are creating obstacles by your very desire to have it happen sooner. For those who abhor change, you are not going to stop it. It is happening slowly, yet you feel it like a freight train rushing towards you and you are trying to push it away from you. You are creating obstacles by your very desire to avoid having it happen. All the changes happening within and around you are occurring at the exact moment they should. They are fortuitous beyond what you can imagine. Don’t force them to happen sooner nor try to stop them. Not that you can do either but we see you struggle, and it only wears you down. Soon enough you will see the unfolding of these changes, rest now in the flow we are providing you. Trust that we have your back, always have and always will. 50
