FROM TODAY’S GOSPEL READING: Jesus said, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself”. REFLECTION: As Scripture suggests elsewhere: if you want to love the God you can not see, love the human you can see. Each of us is a dwelling place of God, “In God’s image we were made. Believing that should enable us to follow Jesus’ teaching to “love neighbor as self”.
The 2015 Mass book will open next Saturday, November 1st, from 9:00am until noon, in the Parish Hall. The doors will open at 8:30am. Masses will also be available on Sunday, November 2nd, after all the Sunday Masses. After that, Masses may be obtained at the Rectory during normal working hours. The stipend for weekday Masses will remain at $10, but the stipend for Saturday evening and Sunday Masses will increase to $15 per Mass. You may obtain 6 Masses - four weekday and two weekend Masses. Additional Masses may be obtained after December 1st. Sanctuary candles & Altar bread and wine intentions may also be ordered at this time.

Tuesday, October 28th, is the feast day of Sts. Simon and Jude. Many people have great devotion to St. Jude. In honor of St. Jude, there will be a special Mass on Tuesday evening, at 6:30 PM, in the Church.
A number of our Parishioners have commented that our Audio system is not working well. A new system has been ordered and hopefully will be installed before the holidays.

An inspection by the engineering firm of O’Donnell-Nacarotto, and mandated by the city has determined that there are serious issues that must be addressed. We are currently obtaining bids for this major project. The work will begin in the Spring. Initial estimates are between $250,000 and $300,000. Because of the sale of the School, we will not have to take out a loan or have any special appeal.
