Our task was to design several types of monograms by given styles. After we made a tonne, we had to make business cards for the best ones. The styles were the following: Blackletter and/ or Calligraphic, Transitional Serif, Modern Style Serif, Slab Serif and Sans Serif.

We had a subject called Design Theory at the university in the 2nd term, where we had to make a paraphrase on Albrecht Dürer’s famous woodcut image, the Rhinoceros. And then, we had the opportunity to choose which contemporary design artist’s style we would like to use. My choice fell on Julien Priez.

I designed these for my classmate and friend, MĂĄtĂŠ Sipos. I made 3 different versions to reflect a few aspects of his personality, as he adores generative graphics, also he is a dedicated Robot Unicorn Attack player and either has he a past in street art, tagging his nickname epik all over the city.

Ypsilon G was a school project, a magazine about 8 border areas of graphic design. I wanted to present each area individually, so I tried to experiment with the layouts as much as I can. Also, I spray-painted the cover to emphasize on the mixture between hand craft and digital work.

During the workshop we got a brief about a brand new kind of wine which is for young people in their twenties and also represents a new image of Sopron in the capital, Budapest. My concept was to toss away all the typical symbols of Sopron and approach wine-lover people with freshness through interaction, because our everyday life is filled with tech gadgets, for example touchscreens.

The brief of the Young Package competition in 2013 was centered around the topic of ageing. A main outcome of getting old is vision impairment which leads to the problem with tiny texts. My solution is a compact magnifier that you can carry by yourself anywhere. I took into consideration that it mustn’t contain any glue, only folding.

During our Type Design course we had to make a typeface based on architecture or any man-built environment. I drew inspiration from steel structures, mostly skyscrapers from the ‘50s and ‘60s. After that I stripped it down to pure geometrical elements to give it a modern impression.

In the 5th semester there was a course where our task was to choose a real life identity which we think is bad and then we had to completely redesign the whole thing. I seleced the Hungarian craft beer brewery, the Legenda brewery. My intention was with the new design to expand the range of customers with fresh new ones, while still having the aesthetics of a good-old brewing house.
