Hotel Collection International - 100% Assured Safety and Quality Service - Diplomat Magazine

After nearly four months of total shutdown of activities due to the pandemic, we at Hotel Collection International (HCI), the leading company in multi-brand hotel management in Georgia and other countries, are delighted to embark on the challenge of restarting our hotels’ activities with renewed strength and spirit. In an environment that is increasingly globalised and dependent, we cannot think of ourselves as an island, so at Hotel Collection International, we are closely monitoring the global situation and adapting our protocol to suit current circumstances. At the moment, we are trying to wade through moments of great uncertainty especially with the spread of COVID-19 (Coronavirus) which means that we all have to be readily prepared to face situations that are different from what we usually regarded as normal, both in our day-to-day work and our private life. These aspects of our lives are the most affected and we require extraordinary measures to cope at this time.

Bringing both of our hotels in Georgia – Best Western Kutaisi and Holiday Inn Telavi – back to operations and getting to reopen part of HCI’s hotels in Spain is going to be in accordance to the following identified parameters which make up our reopening plans:

THE CUSTOMER: OUR ONLY PRIORITY

Currently, our main concern and objective is to help our clients and their loved ones preserve the most precious gift they’ve got – their health. For this reason, at Hotel Collection International, we have prepared a Continuity Plan that contemplates the necessary measures to offer our services to all our clients in the safest and most responsible way. All Health and Safety protocols have been implemented and our entire team have received training, to enable them to always guarantee maximum safety for everyone. All of our facilities at Hotel Collection International have been equipped with measures to enable us to continue to guarantee the maximum comfort of our guests, while putting their safety first. During these months we have always maintained a close communication with all our clients, trying to attend and respond to every of their needs and concerns, and through this system we have also incorporated, and adapted, several of our services based on the requirements of our biggest ambassadors – our guests.

THE TEAM: OUR BEST VALUE

We have a very responsible team at Hotel Collection International and for some time now, we have been pursuing measures to help us embrace digital transformation processes that will better allow us to guarantee our necessary services for the continuity of our work. Our employees are authorized to work from their homes should the need arise, especially for those groups at risk, and to continue providing service to our customers but, our Customer Service, Distribution or any other department that has direct contact with the customer will continue to serve them as always. As far as the personnel based in our hotels are concerned, security measures have been taken to guarantee a comfortable and safe working environment for all the teams and of course for our guests.

SPECIAL SITUATIONS DESERVE SPECIAL MEASURES WITH OUR GUESTS:

At Hotel Collection International our plan reinforces the measures recommended by the local authorities in all of our facilities such as limiting the number of guests, providing personalised attention, keeping our entire environment hygienic and intensifying the use of individual protective equipment (gloves, masks, protective screens, etc.). In addition to the measures recommended by different government bodies, Hotel Collection International has implemented all the safety protocols established by the international brands we represent (HILTON, HOLIDAY INN, BEST WESTERN, RAMADA, etc.) in order to guarantee maximum comfort and safety for our guests during their stay. All of Hotel Collection International hotels are perfectly disposed to hygienic practices to not only guarantee the safety of our guests but to ensure that we serve them with total responsibility in a tranquil environment.

Hotel Collection International has always been an active part of the tourism sector in the countries where we have adequate presence and this will continue to be so. We participate in different tourism forums and maintain a close relationship with all the main agents in each country’s industry (hotels, airlines, travel agencies, administrators, etc.) always with the aim of collaborating, searching, and promoting joint solutions. Our commitment remains firm and we are convinced that the tourism sector, will remain an important part of the global economy, and we especially hope that the countries where we are present will be strengthened even as we continue to contribute from the front.

Despite the present uncertainty, we will continue to bet and keep our Expansion Plans unchanged, although we assume that the crisis that we have experienced will make the deadlines somewhat more flexible than we had anticipated.

Our commitment to our clients, collaborators and partners will continue to grow stronger in the face of current and future adversities because we believe that this will be the only way we will manage to win and come back stronger.

“After the re-opening of both our hotels in Georgia – Best Western Kutaisi and Holiday Inn Telavi – we are observing an interesting change in customer behaviour. Trust has become the new currency – guests in this new post-COVID world are choosing hotels, which they can trust that everything will be clean, properly sanitized and that their stay in the hotel will be safe. We see how much attention guests are paying to the small details that matter to their safety. Being a safe destination became a new competitive advantage for us and that helps our hotels to keep their leading positions on the markets they operate. It is extremely important for us that in these turbulent times and with the correct management strategy we are able to convert all the threats we face into opportunities. At this time, it is our goal and responsibility to keep the virus from spreading and to protect our guests and teams. We are convinced that this situation will improve. In the meantime, our mission is to offer our guests the peace of mind that they deserve.” – Keti Mikashavidze, head of the regional office of HCI in Georgia.
