The Numbers

• The storage team, along with our partner Ahead manage all of Ochsner storage and backup systems. This includes installing, administrating, updating, and support for all related system

• Ochsner has a data footprint of almost 15 Petabytes spread over diverse systems including 1,767 Terabytes of block, 7,781 Terabytes of NAS, 2,950 of on-prem cloud archive, and 2,478 Terabytes of backup

• This data is stored in diverse geographic locations at our Shreveport & Baton Rouge datacenters. With upcoming plans for another remote location (4th S3 cloud Copy)

The Projects

• Cyber Recovery Vault

• Vital IDPA install

• Isilon install for LWH

• Continued Shreveport backup migration

• System migrations between SHV and BTR datacenters for Hurricane season

• Cytovision migration to Isilon in Shreveport

The Accomplishments

• Added new Nodes to Vital Isilon clusters.

• Successfully added Capacity to XIO and also successful code upgrades.

• Shreveport Code upgrades for Compellent and Nimble arrays

• Added Capacity for ALL IDPA GP Clusters

• Successfully upgraded Code levels on ALL IDPA clusters

• Successfully Implemented Retention Adjustments across the board, moving xx amount of data to ECS cloud (cloud policies)

• Pelican backup rewrite for new Redhat version as part of security changes

• Rubrik code update

• McKinsey Audit

• Power realignment for SHV datacenter after Venyu power failovers
