Welcome to Camp OC Our educational day camps are full of interactive fun and adventure. Campers enjoy small class sizes with experienced instructors and School District student volunteers. Camp OC is a great place to engage kids in their interests and passions such as engineering, arts, music, science, culinary arts, trades and computers. Whatever their interests, we’re sure they will find it here.

Please have your child bring a lunch and snacks to camp. Due to allergies, please do not include any nut snacks. Be sure to make note of allergies or a special diet on the Camp OC Informed Parental Consent form. Campers should dress in weather appropriate play clothes and should bring a hat, running shoes, sunscreen and water bottle. If your child’s camp requires additional items they will be listed on their registration form.
Refund Policy

What to Bring to Camp
To withdraw from a camp, contact us by phone, email or in person. Full refunds will be given if the request to withdraw is made at least five business days in advance of the camp start date. Requests made less than five business days in advance of the camp start date, will be refunded 50 per cent of the registration fee. No refunds are given after the camp start date or for days missed. Refunds can take between two and four weeks to process and will be mailed in the form of a cheque.
Late/Absent
If your child will be absent, please notify camp staff by calling 250-862-5480 or e-mail campoc@okanagan. bc.ca. It is the parent’s responsibility to make sure that their child gets signed in at the beginning of camp. You will not be notified if your child is absent from the program.

Camp OC is committed to offering your child a fun, safe and educational experience. We will make every effort to ensure that your child’s camp experience is positive by providing quality content, instructors and facilities. If something is not meeting your expectations, please let us know as soon as possible and we will do our best to fix the situation.
Behaviour and No Bullying Policy
Okanagan College expects all campers to behave in a respectful way towards other campers, camp staff, equipment and camp facilities. Parents will be notified if their child’s behaviour is inappropriate. If the inappropriate behaviour continues, Okanagan College holds the right to remove the child from camp, without a refund.

A Day in the Life
Campers will be dropped off at 8:30 a.m. and picked up at 3:30 p.m. in their homeroom, located on your child’s registration confirmation, or at 5 p.m. in the cafeteria. Children will need to be signed out each day by an adult unless indicated otherwise on the Parental Consent Form.

Informed Parental Consent Form
The Informed Parental Consent Form will be emailed to you right after you register your child for camp. Please make sure to read it, fill it out and submit it at least two weeks prior to camp starting.
Age Groups
Camp OC designs camps to fit each age group’s needs and learning level. Please make sure to register your child in the appropriate age category. Campers entering Grade 1 must be 6 years or older on or before Dec. 31 of the current year. If exceptions need to be made, please contact the office.

Calling all marine biologists! This week we will take you deep into the ocean. We will check out fish, whales, dolphins and sea horses. How do they live? Who eats who? Did you know that 70% of the world’s oxygen comes from plants in the ocean? Join us and get a glimpse of a world that we don’t get to see every day.

Bubble Extravaganza!

Who can make the biggest bubbles? Who has the best bubble formula? This week create different shapes, colours and sizes of bubbles ranging from frozen to oozing slime bubbles! Explore the science behind these floating wonders and experiment with multiple different mediums. Why do they float? What makes them fall and pop? By the end of this week you’ll have the answers to these questions.

This week, with help of visual tutorials, you will create, explore, design and personalize apps that you can play on your own device. Ever thought of aviation as a future career? Are you curious about what it takes to become a pilot? Interested in aircraft mechanics and structure? This week we will discover several aspects of aviation. Let our flight instructors lead you through topics such as theory of flight, airframes, engines, meteorology and radio communications. After a lesson in one of the most advanced simulators in Canada, you will then hop in a real plane and take a half-hour flight over Kelowna. One full day will be spent hands-on in the OC hangar exploring what aircraft maintenance engineering is all about. Ready, Set, Go-Kart
Do you have a passion for go-kart mechanics, or racing? During this week you will enhance your knowledge in servicing and maintenance as well as explore safety aspects with an emphasis on tires, brakes and steering. We will go over the functions of a four stroke engine and how it operates. Expect to get your hands dirty as you will disassemble, inspect and repair the karts. There may even be some surprises like painting, decaling and customizing of the bodies. All karts will be prepped so they are ready for the last day of camp, which is race day.
