Our week-long educational day camps are full of interactive experiences, fun and adventure for youth. Campers enjoy small class sizes with experienced instructors. Exciting new camps for summer 2019 include Fit for Life, Dry-land Hockey, Mechatronics and Explore Camp OC, taught in French.

CampOC - Revelstoke centre Dry-land Hockey - Grades 3-5
Explore the fundamentals of dry-land training with a focus on teambuilding, sportsmanship and fun. Enjoy drills and games that encompass balance, flexibility, agility and speed as well as hand-eye coordination. Develop your confidence, make friends and have fun learning the basics that will take your game to the next level. We will play a daily road hockey game.
*Don’t forget sun screen, a hat and water bottle. Full mask, gloves and stick required to play in games.

L’exploration de Camp OC Explore Camp OC - Grades 4-6
Join us this week where you get to do a little bit of everything – in French! We have a lot of fun things planned, everything from arts and crafts, sports, science experiments, computers, building, testing and exploring, including a scavenger hunt. Are you game for a surprise? Then this is the camp for you!
*This camp is open to both French speaking kids who want to keep their language skills sharp over the summer as well as non-French speaking kids who want to try some something new and explore a new language.

Mechatronics 101 Grades 4-7

Do you like to build things? Want to know how some of your favorite gadgets and toys move? This week you will discover how electronics can bring things to life! You and your team will work together to build your own robots, gain an understanding of electrical components and energize your creations. Make your own designs and learn how sensors work. Work with a variety of inputs to activate a multitude of outputs. You’ll love watching your designs respond to your commands!

Fit for Life - Grades 5-7
Run, jump, stretch and learn! Experience a week full of play, games and learning for lifelong health and wellness. We will explore several different aspects of fitness including yoga, strength training, cardio and mindfulness with fun indoor and outdoor games and exercises. There will be an emphasis on health, nutrition and fit for life learning.

Dry-land Hockey - Grades 5-7
Take your dry-land training to the next level with hockey specific strength and conditioning drills and games, all with a focus on balance, explosive power, agility, core strength and speed. We will explore the importance of flexibility and nutrition for life-long wellness and sport excellence. We will play a daily road hockey game.

The Informed Parental Consent Form will be emailed to you after registering your child. Please fill it out as soon as it is received.
What to Bring to Camp Please have your child bring a lunch and snacks to camp. Due to allergies, please do not include any nut snacks. Be sure to make note of allergies or a special diet on the Camp OC Informed Parental Consent form. Campers should dress in weather appropriate play clothes and should bring a hat, running shoes, sunscreen and water bottle. If your child’s camp requires additional items they will be listed on their registration form.
Refund Policy To withdraw from a camp, contact us by phone, email or in person. Full refunds will be given if the request to withdraw is made at least five business days in advance of the camp start date. Requests made less than five business days in advance of the camp start date, will be refunded 50 per cent of the registration fee. No refunds are given after the camp start date or for days missed. Refunds can take between two and four weeks to process and will be mailed in the form of a cheque.
Late/Absent If your child will be absent, please notify camp staff by calling 250-837-4235. It is the parent’s responsibility to make sure that their child gets signed in at the beginning of camp. You will not be notified if your child is absent from the program.
Our Commitment to You Camp OC is committed to offering your child a fun, safe and educational experience. We will make every effort to ensure that your child’s camp experience is positive by providing quality content, instructors and facilities. If something is not meeting your expectations, please let us know as soon as possible and we will do our best to fix the situation.
Behaviour and No Bullying Policy Okanagan College expects all campers to behave in a respectful way towards other campers, camp staff, equipment and camp facilities. Parents will be notified if their child’s behaviour is inappropriate. If the inappropriate behaviour continues, Okanagan College holds the right to remove the child from camp, without a refund.
Photo/Video Release Please make sure to read Camp OC’s photo and video release policy. It can be found under FAQ’s in the website as well as on the Informed Parental Consent Form.
Informed Parental Consent Form The Informed Parental Consent Form will be emailed to you right after you register your child for camp. Please make sure to read it, fill it out and submit it at least two weeks prior to camp starting.
