Architectural Styles from 1700
Georgian Style This was popular during 1700-1776, also is very similar to the Federal Sylte. These homes alos are very symetric and filled with a lot of windows.
Federal Style This was popular during 1780-1830s. These homes are very symetric and usually two stories.
Greek Rivival Style This was popular around 1825-1860s. These homes were symetric and very bold. The entry had columns which gave it that bold look.
Italianate This was popular around 1840-1885, they are often very tall. This gives it an apperance of a hosue with many stories. Also windows are often tall and narrow.
Victorian These homes are very detailed inside and out. they often have round or square towers and with complex roof-lines. Also they are not very symmetric at all.
Colonial Revival These were popular around the early 1880s and WWI. Very symmetrical with 2-3 stories also has a gable roof.
Ranch Style These home are usually one story and very simple floor plans. They also have a low pitched roof and are very wide in length.
Shed Style This style was popular during the 1960-1970s. The roofs are usually going in different direction, up and down. Also has large windows and the roofs give it a different look.
A-Frame Style These homes have a gable roof style, the shape is very eye opening and makes you take a second look. The floor plans also usually include a loft.
Geodesic Dome Style This homes are very eye catching and have a dome shaped roof. They also have windows often in a circle but each one shaped in a triangle. Overall this home is very different from most.
