Bonus photosTHE PROPOSAL

Last Thanksgiving, Tim and Megan hosted his entire family in Chicago. With secret plans to propose, Tim faked a beer run and got Megan to come along. “The only quiet place in the city was in an alley next to a cemetery,” said Tim “I was really nervous and when I opened the box it was upside down.” Besides a few laughable glitches, the couple went back inside and told a very shocked family the good news.

his hilarious, Chicago-based couple honored their love for improve — and each other — by exchanging vows at the Rose Theatre in Omaha. The couple met through close friends while working as administrative assistants by day and improv and sketch comedians by night in downtown Chicago. Tim and Megan had two goals for their wedding. One, everyone needed to have a great time. Two, the day had to represent them as a couple. “We thought very hard about every element of the wedding. We wanted it to be representative of who we are,” said Megan. “A friend at work gave me a great piece of advice. She told me to look at Tim while I walked down the aisle because that is what I would remember. I never took my eyes off him. It was really romantic.” Tim felt the same way. “One of my favorite moments was seeing her in her dress. She looked beautiful. It was hard to take my eyes off her.” Megan wore an off-white, singleshouldered Tadashi Shoji gown and crystal headpiece. “I wanted a little sparkle on the

bouquet, so I added the antique brooch that my mom wore on one of her first dates with my dad.” Tim's groomsmen received customized cufflinks from Etsy.com. Brother, Patrick, is a Star Wars fan so he got Chewbacca and Han Solo cufflinks. Brother, Chris, is a music fanatic so he received record cufflinks. The bridesmaids had instructions to wear dark chocolate brown. Their dresses were in a beautiful array of styles. Megan gave them peacock feathers for their hair. The couple wanted to do something special to remember their deceased relatives. “We had the musician sing “Amazing Grace” while members of our family brought up a flower representing each person. When they were done, we had this beautiful vase of flowers on stage,” Megan said. Tim and Megan's favorite reception memory came during “one of the last songs to be played that evening. Our friends and family started running in a circle around us. It was a crazy, surreal moment. Just this great feeling of support from all of our friends and family,” Megan said.
