Lynne McTaggart INTERVIEW BY SANDRA SEDGBEER
The International best-selling author Lynne McTaggart has spent many years exploring the nature of human thought and intention and their relationship to health and wellness. Her best-selling books include The Field, The Bond, The Intention Experiment. Lynne McTaggart shares some of the extraordinary stories that emerged from The Intention Experiment, which then led to the experiments and discoveries chronicled in her latest book, The Power of Eight: Harnessing the Miraculous Energies of a Small Group to Heal Others, Your Life, and the World. Sandie Sedgbeer: Lynne, in your bestselling book The Intention Experiment, you invited people all over the globe to join you in an experiment to see if harnessing the power of intention could affect change in the world. The scientific study of ongoing results revealed that 31 experiments run to date, 28 have evidenced measurable change. And specifically, all three of the global peace intention
OMTimes.com
experiments had positive outcomes in lowering violence in Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, and Washington. But, that wasn't all you learned from those experiments, as your latest book The Power of Eight reveals. So, tell us what happened next. Lynne McTaggart: Well, what happened was, around 2008 when I'd just finished the Sri Lanka experiment, I decided to survey my participants. I just wanted to find out what kind of experience they'd had and whether
they had been able to get on the website. We ran these experiments via my website. So, people would have to come on, and all intend together, and I would put on my website the target that they were to focus on. I sent this survey, and had about 15,000 participants, I got back thousands and thousands of responses saying things like this: “I felt like I was part of a higher network; or “ I was sobbing uncontrollably, I had tingles up and down my arms, I felt like I was in the tractor beam in Star Trek. These descriptions of some sort of altered state, almost like a mystical experience. That was bizarre. I had thousands of these kinds of responses. Remember, people were participating by sitting in front of their own individual computer screen. Nevertheless, they were feeling this just incredible palpable electricity. But, I had asked them, what's happened to you now? I also had thousands of people saying things like they had made up with their estranged relatives, they were getting along better with all of their coworkers, they were feeling like, even closer to their not so nice boss. And, nearly half said I am in love with everyone I come in contact with. I mean, they were
OMTimes.com
essentially hugging strangers. And I'm thinking to myself, what on earth is going on here? Sandie Sedgbeer: So, what happened after you had that thought? Lynne McTaggart: Well, I carried on doing, doing these further experiments. But, the other thing that had happened around the same time as I decided to scale these down to workshops. Now, I have a background as an investigative reporter. That's where I started out in life. So, I hadn't run many workshops before. I was, used to doing stories, not necessarily being a personal development trainer. But how do you show the power of intention over a weekend? So, I was sitting there one day with my husband just kicking around the ideas, and then I said, I know, I think maybe I'll just put them in groups of eight or something and have them send healing intention to a member of the group with some sort of health challenge. And my husband is a good headline writer turned to me and said, yeah, the Power of Eight. And so, when we ran our first workshop in Chicago, I did put people in groups of eight.
I had them choose someone in the group with some sort of health challenge. They all sent intention to that person. And I knew how to do intention because I'd studied the techniques of intention masters and master healers, Quigong masters, Buddhists monks. But, I'd also looked at what worked in the laboratory in mind over matter experiments, and I put that together as a simple program I called Powering Up. So, I could teach them Powering Up, all the good techniques of intention, but I wasn't sure how to do it in a small group. So, I'm essentially making it up as I go along and telling them they've got to form a circle, they've got to hold hands, this and that and the other. And I figured it was going to be a feelgood effect, sort of like having a facial. That's not what happened. When they came back the next day to report on how they were, they took the mic in turn, and they said things like this: “ I have cataracts, and my eyes are 80 percent better”,” I have terrible arthritis in that knee, and now I'm walking normally,” I had terrible migraines every day of my life, and my head is clear and,, and on and on. I was dumbfounded. I didn't think about it. I just dismissed it as a placebo effect. But, in every group I've run,
OMTimes.com
thousands of groups now, the same thing happened, these amazing healings after these little short Power of Eight groups. So, between the two, I started realizing that something was going on in here. There were healing effects of being in a group of intentions and intenders in a group, and also in the case of our big experiments, there was a mirror effect. If people sent an intention for peace, their lives became more peaceful, too. If they sent an intention for healing, they got healed. I saw that in our Power of Eight groups, too. We had people who were the senders, not even the receivers, people who had been stroke victims and their eyes started to focus, people who had terrible scoliosis, and suddenly, their backs were straighter, and they were out of pain, people with MS who showed up the next day without their crutches. It was just extraordinary what was happening, but the same thing was happening, whether people were receivers or senders. Sandie Sedgbeer: In those workshops when you first started this, were the intentions specific, or were they just generalized?
Lynne McTaggart: No, I always told people to be very, very specific. What we have found with our intention experiments and also in these Power of Eight groups is, the more specific, the better. People sending intention to someone say with pain, with arthritic pain on the right side, you focus on where it is -, we intend that Jane Doe is free of all pain in her right hip and be healthy and well in every way, that kind of thing. So, be very, very specific. Sandie Sedgbeer: So, while the group of eight was sending that to one member of the group, everybody was experiencing something. Is that correct? Lynne McTaggart: Well, many of them were. I can give you a wonderful example, a guy called Wes Chapman. He was in a group. I put together a couple of groups as a little experiment last autumn from the Mile Hi Church in Denver. And Wes had a very sad story. He was going to be a scientist, and when he was at university, he got drafted the very last year of the war. And at that point, you couldn't have deferments for college, so he had to go. The experience was so awful and depressing that he came home very depressed and traumatized, and his life just continued to go into a downward
OMTimes.com
spiral. The only light part of his life was his second marriage, and then his wife died of cancer. The medical bills were so huge that he'd had to sell his house and essentially live out of a truck driving a long distance to try to pay those bills. And he'd got to the point where I met him, he was 65. He lived in a senior community, and he'd just kind of got to the point of what's the use. Even getting up in the morning or doing the simplest thing like making himself breakfast was too much effort. So, he was depressed, but when he was in that group, he didn't feel that he should get the intention for his depression. He felt that one of the other people who had cancer was more deserving. So, he just sent intention to her, as everyone else did. By the way, her cancer went from stage four to stage one now. But, Wes had an amazing epiphany. I talked to him a few days later. He said, “my God, I woke up, and everything is so changed.” “The grass is greener than it's ever been, the flowers smell sweeter, getting up is so easy now, doing any activity is so easy now. I spoke to him a few months after that, and suddenly, I heard he was doing power walking for 90 minutes, he was
lifting weights. He said I feel like I'm in my 20s, not my 60s now. He had a dream that he'd met his 19year-old self and somehow communicated to him there's still time. And Wes is a really changed person, and yet the intention wasn't about him. It was about sending to someone else, and that was the big powerful thing for him. Sandie Sedgbeer: Did you experiment with groups of six or 12 to see whether there was something magic about eight? Lynne McTaggart: Eight is kind of an ideal number, and a lot of people have said they feel it works better with eight. I don't have any hard data to say that, and I certainly didn't use eight because of any sacred geometry or the idea that eight is a sideways infinity and all of those wonderful things. That's just something, to impose on it. It was just an accident. At least, that's what it seemed to be. But, what I found is eight is a Goldilocks number in the sense that it's not too few and it's not too many. I would say anything, if you have smaller than five, it's not enough, and more than 12, it starts getting a little unwieldy. Sandie Sedgbeer: Lynne McTaggart, I've been a follower
OMTimes.com
of your work since the very early days when you first released the What Doctors Don't Tell You Newsletter back, years and years ago in England. So, I've read every single one of your books, and, I've been really interested in following your work. So, when I met Bill Tiller some years ago, and I know Bill has also done some work with intention, I introduced him to a friend of mine who was working with the higher consciousness of autistic children, and Bill and Suzy Miller set up the Autism Intention Experiment. He was broadcasting it through one of the unimprinted intention devices that he imprinted with an intention. The night before they started the broadcast, Suzy Miller was getting calls from those practitioners telling her of the miraculous things that were happening with those autistic children. What happens before you broadcast your intentions? Are they being put into a field of grace or peace or, something is happening to them on some level just by the very fact that they're spending the time creating that intention? Lynne McTaggart: Well, I think what's happening is probably a bit of everything. There is the power of intention and collective intention.
There is the power of the group and the collective, effects of the group. There's Emile Durkheim, the French psychologist, once called it collective effervescence. When people come together in a group, something magical happens. But, there's also the power of altruism. And I really looked at this in detail. the science of altruism is quite amazing. Altruism is like a bulletproof vest. People who do things for other people and that would include thinking well for them, trying to heal them, live longer, are healthier, are happier in every regard. Also, there've been really interesting. One amazing prayer study where a psychologist who also happened to be a priest in Berkley, California wanted to try to see if prayer could work for mental illness because there's plenty of evidence showing prayer has worked in some studies for physical illness. So, he got a group of 400 volunteers who had depression, who had clinical depression, and he got them together, and he divided the group in half. One half was going to get the praying, and the other half was going to give the praying. Now, the people who got the prayer, afterward he then measured them, to see whether there were any
OMTimes.com
improvements according to all kinds of psychological parameters. The people who got the prayer did well. They were improved but not as improved as the people who gave the prayer. And that has been demonstrated over and over in these small intention groups. One year, 2015, I wanted to really study how these things worked and why. So, I decided to put together 250 people who would be part of an intention master class, a year-long project where I would teach them over six teleseminars and then put them into small groups of eight, about eight, and then monitor everything going on with them for an entire year. And I looked at their health, their relationships, their finances, their career, their life's purpose and month on month to month. Now, we had extraordinary stories. Of the 250 people, about 150 continued to meet regularly in their group over the year and beyond. Now, of those 150, pretty much 100 percent of them had major life changes of some sort. Some guy with chronic depression discovered the cause of it. He'd had lifelong depression, and it was difficult because he was a clinical psychologist, but an integrated psychologist. So, he tried everything, and nothing worked. He discovered with his group, when his group sent intention for him to find the
cause of this depression, he discovered one of his liver filtration systems wasn't working. And once that was sorted, he was sorted, and the depression lifted. We had another woman with 15 years' worth of chronic fatigue, could barely exercise for five minutes. She's now lifting weights and going hiking. Sandie Sedgbeer: Do you define a difference between intention and prayer? Lynne McTaggart: I think the intention is more focused. I think prayer tends to be being a supplicant, saying, God, you decide, thy will be done, whatever you decide. With intention, it's a little more focused. It's still a request, but it usually is a very specific request to the universe. So, there's a lot of overlapping elements to it. It's just slightly different. Sandie Sedgbeer: I guess, too, there's the factor that, with intention, you are being the creator rather than relying on someone else to be a creator. Lynne McTaggart: Yes, you are, but let me define that, too. Instead of God being another, you are kind of acknowledging the God within you, that ability to create. There is a big spiritual component to it, particularly
OMTimes.com
when you see how powerful these Power of Eight groups are. Sandie Sedgbeer: Did you find in your experiments that the skill level of people had any effect on the outcome? Lynne McTaggart: Yeah, I think people who were more practiced and skillful, experience counted. With that seed experiment, the biggest outcome occurred among healing touch practitioners when I spoke in front of them. The seeds grew twice as high as the controls, the seeds intention. And I think experience does count. Certain techniques do count, the right heart state, the right mind state, that ability to focus on the other, the ability to focus full stop, a very focused, energized mind state. All of those things are the kinds of things I talk about in my program Powering Up that's in my book The Power of Eight and that I teach in my master classes. Sandie Sedgbeer: Are you also finding that the more practiced a group gets, the stronger the effects? Lynne McTaggart: Oh, yeah. I think after I watch my year-long intention master classes. When people do get to be intention masters, They do learn how to really focus their intention, how to get off of themselves, how to phrase
their intentions, how to be very specific, the kind of mindsets and heart states, to get into - all of those things really make a difference. Sandie Sedgbeer: Lynne McTaggart, looking back over your body of work, there's a clear pathway running through all of your books from The Field, which reveals that the human mind and body are not separate from their environment. The Bond which demonstrates we're in a constant relationship with everything and everyone. The Intention Experiment, which demonstrates that thought's a thing that affects other things and now with The Power of Eight, which, provides solid evidence that we can harness the power of intention to help one another. You've said that it, has transformed you from a hard-nosed journalist and a skeptic to a believer, where's it going? I mean, what's the next step for you? Lynne McTaggart: I think it's very interesting to take The Bond even further, the whole idea that not only are we connected to each other in every way, but that we need to live in a new way. If we aren't separate, if this is our new story, all of those books are really all about the new story that new science is writing about who we are and the latent powers that we have within ourselves,. Then we have to live
OMTimes.com
in a very different way because the way we live now is essentially I win, you lose. It's all about competitive individualism. And that really needs to change. Sandie Sedgbeer: The original the newsletter, What Doctors Don't Tell You, which I said, I first came across back in the '90s when I was living in England, I mean, that was a very courageous thing to do at that time. Lynne McTaggart: I think it's a more courageous thing to do now, because back then, I mean we were lauded as a voice in the silence. Our first issue got put on a big page of The Times and written about, and all the papers called us, wonderful for what we were doing, important work. A lot of publications have had many more ties with government and big pharmacy, big pharma, That kind of independent thinking is gone in a lot of these publications, and they have we've been under more attack more recently by skeptic organizations trying to close us down. Happily, we have many more supporters than skeptics, and our supporters, when they've taken us out of a store, as they did in 2013, a supermarket caved into some of that pressure because these skeptics were writing to stores and demanding
that we are banned, our readers banned the store. They boycotted the store. So, they had to put us back in there. Sandie Sedgbeer: And it's interesting how it's all beginning to merge now, the science, the spirituality. I mean, even in medicine, we know the placebo effect works, we know that people can get better when you, send intentions to them. So, the lines are blurred. Lynne McTaggart: There's too much information now about near-death experiences, of people who were completely conscious during comas, all that kind of thing for us to say, yeah, there's something more here. This reality that we have described is way out of date.
that area, and property crime did not. But, we were focusing on violence. So, that's interesting. Sandie Sedgbeer: We've got this, Cambridge analytical thing going on now, and everybody's up in arms about, people, being persuaded to do things that maybe they wouldn't have done otherwise. When here we have a tool, a really, solid tool where we can actually send intention out into the world. We don't need, bots and computers to influence people. We can offset that with the power of intention for a little bit of sanity and compassion in the world.
Sandie Sedgbeer: So, do you feel now that you've got a kind of mission to continue this work till the results are absolute, conclusive? Lynne McTaggart: We had two big intention experiments in the autumn that we are just collating now. The first one was a big American piece intention experiment. We sent intention to the most violent street in America in St. Louis, Missouri, and we're collating those results. They look pretty good. It looks like violent crime went down in
OMTimes.com
Lynne McTaggart: That's a great idea. I think we might need more of that just judging from the technology we now have and the capability for, for interference that we now have, too.
Sandie Sedgbeer: Are you ever tempted to set an intention experiment to, to have a bit of sanity and compassion in the White House? Lynne McTaggart: Well, what I've tried to do is really focus on the people themselves. I mean, last Saturday was the march of our lives where people in 850 locations around America were marching, and in the UK, were marching for greater gun control following the Florida shooting. And this was organized by, the 17-year-old survivors. I sent intention, I had a little live Facebook event and wrote about the idea of inclusiveness, that one thing the young people did that I thought was very smart is they didn't say guns should be banned, they didn't attack people who had guns. They were saying, let's focus on the values we may all share, which is we don't want guns shooting high school kids, do we, and we don't want mass shootings anymore. I think the whole idea of being inclusive and not allowing corrupt politicians or corrupt lobbyists to influence the electorate to make us all understand, we don't want kids shot in schools. So, let's all ban together and not allow them to create divisiveness.
OMTimes.com
Sandie Sedgbeer: That's a brilliant intention. I heartily endorse that one. Can you tell our readers how they can participate in your experiments, and very briefly, what is the next big experiment you've got coming up? Lynne McTaggart: So, they can participate by coming to my website, lynnemctaggart.com. They can join in with my various workshops, my retreats, my master classes, my yearlong master classes. And if they want to set up a Power of Eight group, they can come onto lynnemctaggart.com/forum where they can either put up an announcement that they want to start one or join one of the many hundreds of groups forming around the world. As for my next big experiment, I think we're going to focus some more on the Middle East and use that kind of technology to bring lots of different people together. Sandie Sedgbeer: The Power of Eight is available at all good bookstores and online. Start Battling Toxins and Building Immunity by Carl Greer, PhD, PsyD
Determined to live long and healthy lives, we go to war against germs and viruses that can jeopardize our health and well-being. But how often do we consider creating a balance between battling toxins and
Omtimes.com
building immunity? To destroy biological invaders in your body, you might take antibiotics or other medications that can have strong side effects. Uncomfortable though you may be with the gastrointestinal disturbances, headaches, or other symptoms of a war being waged within you, you might be so focused on getting well again that you forget to consider how those toxins and bacteria entered your system in the first place. How did they come to find sanctuary within you? You can’t eradicate every germ, virus, or bacteria toxin that enters your body. However, you might be able to stop them from moving in and putting their feet up on the coffee table, so to speak. You might build our immunity so that your system can kill them off quickly. Eating large quantities of sugar, whether as sweets or processed flour in breads and cereals, can weaken your ability to maintain strong immunity. Indulging in these
carbohydrates can cause you to lay out a banquet for yeast and bacteria to feed upon. Then you battle infections or struggle with your weight. But much of that fighting would not be necessary if you were willing to avoid these foods and do a better job building and maintaining a strong immune system. Building immunity requires taking in fewer foods that your system has trouble processing and getting rid of while favoring foods that support a healthy system. Green, leafy vegetables, healthy sources of proteins such as nuts and seeds, and fermented foods are all known to support strong immunity. Adding these foods to your diets can help you to be prepared for the inevitable invasion of toxins and battles necessary for your health. If you lie to yourself about what you are consuming, you get stuck having to wage unnecessary wars and wishing your immune systems were stronger. Illness and even disease can result. Your bodies has cancer cells, viruses, bacteria, and even Omtimes.com
toxic manmade chemicals within it that will threaten your health if you are not vigilant. You can tolerate a certain amount of assaults against your natural state of health. Too many attacks and your body can’t keep up the fight. Building your immunity gives your body more power to wage important battles. You can choose to keep your body in better shape for overpowering a virus quickly, or healing an infection that begins to develop.
yourself about whether your eating habits prevent you from achieving that balance and set you up for all-out, exhausting wars against bacteria, viruses, cancer cells, and manmade toxins. If that is the case, how might you make sure you eat more foods that boost your immunity? Could you find substitute foods that would give you the strength to fight threats to your body while limiting how inviting your body is to these biological foes?
As you think about your own body’s fitness for battle, think about how prepared you are for doing the hard work of maintaining your health and well-being. Do you work at it daily or wait for something to go wrong? Do you build your immunity or do you eat as you please until symptoms of a problem show up, or a medical test reveals a health problem?
As you consider building your immunity, remember that every warrior needs rest and restoration. Your immune system can be the home base from which those rare wars are waged—if you are willing to change your health habits.
If you consciously choose to find a balance between doing battle and building immunity, you will find it easier to stay healthy. Be honest with

“You Light Up My Life By John Holland
Every evening for many years I continue to have a ritual that I would like to share. Although quite simple, I find it to be quite powerful to have an intended thought powered by light. The simple Omtimes.com
act of lighting a candle every night for me reminds me that all thought has power, and keeping a candle lit safely for a while helps me to send and keep a positive thought on the desired intention. Candles have been used since the dawn of time for meditations, blessings, religious beliefs, healings, prayers, celebrations, abundance, psychic development, to feel comforted and protected, a memory of a loved one, spiritual understanding, and yes, even romance. The uses are endless. Many people choose candles by scent, some choose by color, while others are simply fine with a plain candle, or even a tea light in a votive purchased from a dollar store. You don’t have to spend a lot of money – no matter what you choose, it’s the positive use of the candle that makes it special! I have even rubbed certain oils on a candle while sending a specific thought and have even inscribed the candle with a message about what I am
seeking. It’s a way of making my prayers and intentions even stronger for me. Every day people are positively using candles without even knowing it! How many times have you blown out a candle on a birthday cake? What you’re actually doing is that when you close your eyes and make a wish (holding that special thought), and then you blow out the candle, you’re actually sending off the wish while bringing your desires to light. Candles can even be used for balancing your aura and chakras, so try (safely) burning a candle connected to the same color chakra. For example, use an orange candle for the sacral chakra, a blue candle for the throat chakra or a red one to strengthen the base chakra. White candles represent all of the colors, and when lit, protects and gives peace and comfort and enhances spirituality. When my mom was ill, every night I would light a white candle and would take a moment to focus on my mom Omtimes.com
and used the energy of light to send her healing and peace. It was a reminder to place a positive thought on her health as opposed to envisioning her being sickly. I’m not sure if it was the candle, the light, prayers, or the thoughts, but I have to admit she had many good days before she passed. I find that candles keep me connected to my soul and the Divine and are a special reminder that we are never alone. That’s why if I can, no matter whether I am demonstrating my mediumship with one or in front of hundreds, I will have a candle flame always burning to remind me that spirit is always there! JOHN’S LESSON If you’ve never used candles for the power of an intention, how about trying it for a week or two? Maybe it will become an everyday ritual for the rest of your life that you’ll enjoy, and that hopefully, you’ll see the benefits from. Many people start off by using a specific color: White for spirit or protection, red for strength,
Omtimes.com
pink for romance, and green for abundance. It doesn’t really matter what color you choose as long as it has to mean to you because that’s what it’s all about. If you’ve never used a candle for meditation, then try it. By focusing on a candle flame, it can take you deep within yourself. If your mind begins to wonder, then simply focus once again on the flame to bring you back to your meditation. It is said that “Some people are drawn to light - while others emanate it.” If you know someone who could use healing and light in their life right now, light a candle for them as you send them your thoughts. Light can illuminate even the darkest of places or situations, so give it a try and keep the faith and knowledge, not just how powerful light and positive intention are - but how magnificent and special you truly are! Live a Soul-filled life!

The Holiest Spot on Earth
It was one of those days when the world was supposed to come to an end. The planets had achieved the crucial alignment, the ancient prophecies were Omtimes.com
being fulfilled, and psychics confirmed this would be the turning point. Hordes of people were rushing to safety at spiritual power places around the globe. Others had gone on shopping sprees and ran up huge credit card bills after being advised the world economic system was going to crash. Others said goodbye to non-believer loved ones. This was it. I was flying over Europe with a group that had just completed a spiritual pilgrimage. A little girl in the group, age 8, was fearful because she had heard the prophecies. She went to the leader of the group and asked her if, upon landing, we would be taken to a power place where the earthquakes or flood waters could not reach us. The leader took the girl’s hands, looked her in the eyes, and told her, “Don’t you worry, darling. You are the power place. When you dwell in your spiritual strength, you are safe wherever you are.”
Truer words have never been spoken. In my many travels I have been blessed to visit some of the most sacred sites in the world: the Pyramids of Giza, Machu Picchu, the vortices of Sedona, Mt. Shasta, Mt. Fuji, Jerusalem, and more. I have immensely enjoyed all of these pilgrimages and felt blessed to connect with the energies there. They are all truly wondrous. Then I came across a quote from A Course in Miracles that made me rethink the definition of a sacred site: “The holiest spot on earth is where an ancient hatred has become a present love.” Hmmm. The Course is telling us that because we are spiritual beings at our core, it is the state of our spirit, not geography, that empowers us and makes us safe. Any place where we recognize the
Omtimes.com
presence of God is a power place, which includes right where we stand. The Course also tells us that the fastest route to enlightenment is through elevating our relationships and choosing love where we once chose fear. When you achieve a healing in a relationship and you replace judgment with forgiveness, you are standing on the holiest spot on earth. The ego prescribes horizontal or geographical cures for our pain. If we just changed our relationship partner, job, or living situation, all would be well. But if you leave a job or relationship without healing the issues that caused you to want to leave, you will just recreate the same situation. Effective changes in the outer world must be preceded by changes in mind, heart, and attitude. When we achieve inner healing, outer changes flow naturally and organically, with the least effort and no stress.
Omtimes.com
The world we see is a screen upon which we project our thoughts. If we entertain thoughts of safety we will see a safe and kind world. If we entertain fear thoughts, we will see threat wherever we turn. The world has no reality or substance except that which we give it with our mind. If you feel vulnerable, the place to turn for safety is within. The spiritual guide Bashar says, “Either you are secure or you are not. There is no such thing as partial security. You must decide the nature of the universe you live in. I assure you that you are secure.” It’s uplifting to visit places considered sacred and spiritually powerful. Just remember that what makes them powerful is the intentions you bring to them. You believe you are visiting a physical place with certain attributes, but you are really visiting a place
in your mind. That place is available to wherever you are. A spiritual master finds God in places that others do not. As William Blake poetically described, “To see a World in a Grain of Sand And a Heaven in a Wild Flower, Hold Infinity in the palm of your hand And Eternity in an hour.” You have the power to transform any situation and make it holy. The best way to do this is to search your life for relationships that have been commandeered by fear, and liberate those relationships with love. It’s easier to fly to Machu Picchu than face your ex and create harmony where there was enmity. But that is the work before us. People ask me, “How can I connect with my angels?” I tell them, “Find the angels within the devils in your life, and legions of angels will flock to you.” They tell me, “I wish I were at the last supper with
Jesus.” I tell them, “Make it through Thanksgiving dinner without getting upset with your relatives, and Jesus will find you. Make that the last supper you give your power away. ” We tend to seek salvation in distant times and places, when it is already here for the asking. To create heaven on earth, take earthly situations and lift them to heaven. Then we will really be getting somewhere. Overcoming Tense Nights
by Kaya & Christiane Muller
Our three Angel Guardians, on the physical, emotional, and intellectual levels that we find according to the date and time of our birth, are very helpful when beginning Angel Work. By reciting an Angel Mantra, in other words, by repeating the Name of an Angel over and Omtimes.com
over again with a deep sense of sacredness and intensity, it will open our conscious and unconscious. We can gradually integrate qualities and virtues and cleanse the negative memories that our inner computer may have accumulated during the course of this life and our other lives. It is very powerful work that modifies our behavior and reprograms our soul. We see its effects in thousands of people all over the world, who now work with the Angels and consequently develop their spiritual autonomy. Walking a spiritual path is generally quite vague for most people. But whenever we live with an angelic conscience, we learn to speak symbolic language, and this leads us to consider our life as though we were in a dream in order to help us become aware that everything is a Teaching for us – little things as well as big things. The following testimonial comes from one of the beautiful families who apply symbolic language in their daily lives. It shows us that certain behavior may sometimes hide and bear witness to the deep evolutive truth.
Here is what an initiate mother shared: “Every night, when necessary, we accompany our children in their nocturnal difficulties caused either by fears or nightmares. And as parents who wish to accompany our children in the evolution of their conscience toward the Light, it was during one of these nights that we made an important discovery. Our 5-year-old daughter Annabelle had been grinding her teeth. We had already noticed that her teeth had taken on an unusual shape, but we had no idea why. And then, one night, we received the reason why and all of its symbolic dimension. Annabelle is a child who could be described as the perfect child, and she’s also hyper-sensitive. She obeys instantly and always tries to do things well. Her father, Simon, is absolutely right when he says it isn’t normal. We discovered that she grinds her teeth at night, which shows that, unconsciously, Annabelle blocks and locks up all of her negativity. She retains all of her negative soul-states and represses her primary needs (symbolized by
Omtimes.com
her teeth) related to her deep structure. It is so difficult for her whenever we talk to her about her negative aspects; it hurts, and she flees these moments
We know now that we need to change ourselves so we can give her the good examples. Children are amazing‌ they are Godgiven gifts indeed!
What is beautiful, however, is that my husband and I were immediately able to make the connection with Angel 52 Imamiah, Annabelle’s emotional birth Angel, one of whose Qualities is ease in recognizing our errors and hence in repairing them. We realized we had to help Annabelle be more gentle to develop this precious quality, which will gradually lead her to unclench her teeth, enable her to see, understand and transform her negative aspects into positive aspects.
For more info on Kaya and Christiane Muller:
We also understood with Angel Teaching why our daughter was keeping everything locked up and under control; it was simply too much for her to see and recognize her errors. This precious discovery opened our eyes as regards ourselves because we know that Annabelle is a part of ourselves, and we tend to do just like her!

Practicing Voluntary Simplicity By Cathedral of the Soul Our world is undergoing an intense process of transformation. Fact: The United States has 6% of the world’s population and consumes 33% of
Omtimes.com
natural resources. China’s development is also accelerating the World’s resource depletion. Al Gore’s film “An Inconvenient Truth” clearly demonstrates the imminence of a catastrophe of planetary proportions. Faced with the evidence that the earth does not support our way of life, a movement called Voluntary Simplicity has emerged. In 1981, American Duane Elgin (1) wrote the book Voluntary Simplicity: Toward a Way of Life that is Outwardly Simple, Inwardly Rich (2010, 1993 and 1981). If the world preaches a new human ethic that speaks of fraternity and communion, of solidarity and compassion to preserve our future, what about us, Christians, that we should be at the forefront of this proposal, but also of the ecological movement? In fact, we should be aware that God has entrusted the earth to us
to take care of it and not to deprecate it. Has God created us to love each other and to use people, other sentient beings, and resources only for our own benefit? We must begin by confessing that we become complacent with a system that produces social injustice and unbridled consumption of superfluous, while most of the population is deprived of the essential. If we were aware of our identity as children of God, we would not be so vulnerable to the calls for advertisements that lead us to think that our value depends on material goods, outward signs of wealth and success. Those who need to invest so much in appearance reveal a poor inner life and inconsistent self-esteem. We must not forget that Mammon money is power and that we must choose who we are going
Omtimes.com
to serve. The Kingdom of God is in the hearts of those who recognize Christ Consciousness as Sovereign energy and live according to its inclusive values. Being at peace with these two worlds that are antagonistic is impossible. The path of discipleship is narrow and quite contrary to the system in which we are inserted. To live simple voluntarily in a more straightforward way means to choose a life more bereft outwardly and more abundantly inwardly. It is taking the excess weight of luggage to make the journey through this world lighter and more pleasurable. It means prioritizing the quality of life that does not depend on material resources but on peace and meaningful relationships. Our time, yes, is very precious to be wasted in malls and in front of the TV. We must prioritize the essential to the
Omtimes.com
detriment of the demands of our capitalist society. Voluntary Simplicity is a path, a process of liberation from the materialistic system, where everything has its price, it is to live in the Kingdom, where everything is the fruit of grace! We need to learn and teach our children, to laugh at the advertisements that want to push us to buy products as if our happiness depended on them. Enjoying God’s presence in silence and in meditative solitude supplies us emotionally and enables us to resist the traps of the world: Avoid impulse buying; rescue the child in you, playing with your children without a commitment to performance, but only for the pleasure of the game, preferably not competitive. Use your free time for a volunteer job,
promoting and empowering marginalized people, being the voice of those who are not heard or even seen. Simplicity rhymes with utility, durability, and beauty. It is not an end, but a means consistent with the Gospel of giving up superfluous expenses to generously benefit those who are deprived of decent living conditions. It is a commitment to justice that seeks to promote the human being and not just a welfare aid. It is not just about saving and recycling to ensure the survival of the planet, but about building a more fraternal and inclusive society where everyone is valued and has their basic needs met. The more one gives oneself from the intimate experience of God’s love, the more one receives love, joy, and peace. The most generous people are the most
accomplished, while the most selfish are often frustrated and unhappy and angry. Whoever extends his arms to his neighbor integrates a fraternity that forms a network of solidarity and represents the Body of Christ, until He comes back inside our hearts. It is salt and light in a world that is losing its way out of the darkness of an ego-based society. (1) Duane Elgin is an internationally recognized speaker, author, and social visionary who looks beneath the surface turbulence of our times to explore the deeper trends that are transforming our world. In 2006, Duane received the International Goi Peace Award in Japan in recognition of his contribution to a global “vision, consciousness, and lifestyle” that fosters a “more sustainable and spiritual culture.”

Shungite, Ancient Stone for Vital Modern Uses by Kartar Diamond
In the practice of Feng Shui, there are “classical or traditional remedies, to address the kinds of problems which have affected people for a millennium. The natural and man-made environment
Omtimes.com
has been interpreted for how it can influence the health, well-being and financial success of the occupants. There are modern adaptations for ancient concepts and observations. For example, it has been documented how an individual or family might be affected by an actual stream passing in front of their home. In modern times, the virtual stream can be the paved road passing in front of a house. Another example is the interpretation of surrounding buildings, in comparison to long ago when it was a mountain range or nearby hill which was the subject of concern. In the Flying Star School, we also track the unseen energies produced when a structure is built, and the influences remain similar on people, whether we are talking about a 1,000-yearold castle or new home built this year. The magnetic field
created by the mingling of earth energies and solar energies have been predictable for as long as they have been tracked. Most of the world has to contend now with problems which did not exist until recently. I’m referring to the results of modern, industrial living. These circumstances threaten our health and wellbeing and can undermine what might otherwise be a right a Feng Shui environment. Our air, land, and water are polluted. Every day, we encounter thousands of different chemicals from the water we drink and bathe in, the food we eat, and off-gassing from synthetic materials that are in practically everything we touch. Even that organic broccoli you bought is wrapped in plastic which is penetrating right into the food. Apparently, virtually every human being on Earth
Omtimes.com
now has detectable levels of plastic in their body. In addition to that, we have to battle the debilitating effects of electromagnetic radiation. Surrounded by electrical appliances, we are all bombarded with what is called EMFs. This stands for electromagnetic frequencies. These EMFs are bad for our health, our nervous systems and there is a lot of documentation to suggest that there is a direct correlation between chronic exposure to EMFs and the increase in cancer. For example, brain cancer used to be rare, but right in sync with the proliferation of cell phones, brain cancer has become common. Most people are spending a long time in front of computers, and this is undermining our physical and mental health in a myriad of ways. Realistically, who is going
Omtimes.com
to stop using a computer or cell phone? Even if you don’t use a cell phone much, most of us are living very close to not one, but many cell phone towers, often disguised as trees. One has to wonder why they are being concealed? And who is going to stop using their microwave oven or unplug their television when not in use? There are also other sources of EMFs that we are being assaulted with that go way beyond the scope of this article. Enter shungite, a mineralstone which was discovered in Russia, and believed to have been transported to Earth on an asteroid some 2 billion years ago. Shungite has a high carbon content, but also a unique molecular structure which scientists think can be used in both medical and technological ways to benefit humanity. It has already been shown
to block electromagnetic radiation. This is why people place pieces of shungite next to their phone cradles, attached to their cell phones, next to appliances like the TV and also the computer. I have even gone so far as to buy some shungite necklaces so that when I am away from my own home, I can be partially shielded from all the wi-fi frequencies I walk through in other people’s homes and businesses. Shungite is a black stone. It looks like black tourmaline or obsidian, but it is a very different stone with unique powers. It can come polished or unpolished, and some use a shiny form of it called “elite” shungite to purify water. The elite shungite has a higher ratio of carbon. I used to shy away from
making recommendations outside the scope of traditional Feng Shui. But now that I see the devastating effects of our modern living, I can’t ignore the “elephant in the room,” not for myself nor my clients. For example, we can’t make the traditional adjustments for improved health, without addressing modern, universal environmental problems which no one is exempt from. Shungite is not too expensive, fortunately, and it can be cleaned and regularly charged like other healing stones and minerals. Natural crystals can be placed outside once a month or so to absorb the cleansing and charging energies of both the sun and moon. Company: Feng Shui Solutions ® From the Feng Shui and Crystals

How to Host a Seed Swap By Cat Johnson
Seed swaps are great ways to learn about local seeds, build a community around seed sharing, and show support for the Save Seed Sharing movement. Designed for gardening newbies and master
Omtimes.com
gardeners alike, they provide people an opportunity to get seeds from other local growers and share seeds from their own harvest. As Rebecca Newburn, founder and co-coordinator of the Richmond Grows Seed Lending Library explains, seed swaps are fun ways to collect seeds that are more climate resilient and adapted to local soils than commercial seeds, they’re great community events, they provide an opportunity to exchange gardening tips and meet other gardeners. To host a seed swap, you’ll need space, tables, volunteers, seeds to share, a few supplies, signage, flyers and other communication materials, and a group of enthusiastic seed sharers. The following tips are taken from a seed swap guide created by the Richmond Grows Seed Lending Library. Seed swap tables should be clearly noted which seeds are present and their difficulty level
Before the Event Gather Volunteers: For a successful seed swap, you’ll need a team of volunteers to help with creating and distributing flyers and information about the event, reaching out to media contacts, connecting with partners and aligned organizations. They will be making signs for use at the event, setting up tables and signage at the event, staffing tables and directing people at the swap, and helping with cleanup after the event. You’ll want a few experts on-hand, however, to teach people about saving seeds and offer gardening tips. Collect Seeds to Share: If your swap is affiliated with a seed library, you may have enough seeds to get started. If not, reach out to gardening associations, master gardeners, local seed savers, horticulture departments or botanical gardens to request seed donations.
Omtimes.com
Promote the Event: Promoting your seed swap is essential. The following promotional tools will get you started, but tap into any resources your community may have: Posters, Small flyers, and handbills Media: local television, radio, blogs, newspapers, weekly papers, etc. Note: media outlets generally need plenty of notice to schedule coverage of events of this type. Social media start promoting the event as soon as it’s confirmed and increase your social media campaign as you get closer to the event. Ask partners and aligned organizations and businesses to promote the event through their social media channels as well. Swap Signage: At the event, you’ll need signs introducing people to the seed swap, detailing which plants are good for new gardeners and which are for more advanced gardeners.
Omtimes.com
Also Include information on the local seed library (if there is one), instructions on taking and sharing seeds, a guide to local planting times. The Fedco seed saving chart, recommendations how many seeds to take for the amount of plants you want to end up with, and any other information you’d like to share. At their seed swaps, Richmond Grows color codes the seed envelopes. Super easy seeds have green labels, easy is blue, and difficult is yellow. “Borrower Beware” signs denoting expert-level plants, are orange.
Event Supplies and Materials Letter-sized envelopes can be used as seed packets. Seal and tape the ends and cut them in half to create packets people can use to carry seeds home. You may be able to get business envelopes donated from companies who are going out of business or changing addresses, or from printer errors.
Poster paper is great for making signs for wayfinding and swap instructions If your swap is associated with a seed library or organization, bring a rubber stamp with library information and stamp pad. That way you can stamp seed packets with information. Bring masking tape for hanging posters Bring lots of pencils for tables. Richmond Grows suggests taping artificial flowers on the ends to identify them as belonging to the swap and keep them from disappearing. Bring staplers or tape for people to seal their seed envelopes For your swap, you may want to create a How to Save Seeds brochure in English [doc] and Spanish [doc] to give out so people can bring seeds from their harvest to the next swap. Richmond Grows invites seed swap hosts to put your own contact info on their brochures.
Also, see 9 Ways to Power Up the Seed Movement. If your seed swap is in conjunction with a seed library or community organization, bring membership forms or an email signup list. Get participants’ contact information so you can alert them about future events. Collecting Seeds: In addition to giving out seeds, you’ll be collecting seeds as well. Here are some tips for keeping collected seeds organized: Use pre-stamped envelopes for seed donations, with labels in English and Spanish Use rubber bands to organize seeds packets at the end of the event—for instance, collect all tomato seeds together Bring bags or boxes to put seeds in at the end of the event At each table, note whether the seeds are super easy, easy, or hard. Create a system for noting which seeds are for
Omtimes.com
edibles, non-edible, medicinal and cooking herbs, and hybrids. With hybrid seeds, be sure to note that hybrids will not produce plants like their parents and that seeds should not be saved for the library. Richmond Grows does this by placing a yellow dot sticker on hybrid seed packets.
At the Event Orientation: Do a miniorientation to the library, and seed swap before people are allowed to take any seeds. This should take about 10 minutes. Repeat the orientation throughout the event. Give Thanks: Newburn suggests that, if it’s appropriate for your community, a blessing or moment of gratitude for the seeds and the community is “a lovely way to start a swap.” Volunteers: Volunteers should be available to answer questions and direct people to the various tables at the swap. Have people on table duty who can answer questions.
Omtimes.com
Have name tags for volunteers with identifiers such as “seed saver” or “ask me about the seed library.” Encourage First-Timers to Take Seeds: Make people feel welcome even if they don’t have any seeds to share yet. The Bay Area Seed Interchange (BASIL) in Berkeley asks people to bring seed to share and a potluck dish or $10, but no one is turned away for lack of funds or seeds. Encourage people to take what they intend to grow and label everything so when they bring back seeds, it’s clear what they are. Also, encourage people to learn about saving seeds—in particular, the super easy seeds such as tomatoes, beans, peas, and lettuce. This can be facilitated by brochures and volunteers. If your seed swap is affiliated with a seed library, give regular tours of the library throughout the event. Photo: Richmond Grows Seed Lending Library
Promote Seed Saving: Make sure folks understand that this is not just a taking event and that the intention of the swap includes creating local resilience around food and seeds. The thing you can do to promote this: Start the swap by explaining that seeds are labeled by seed saving level and that you are encouraging everyone to start with the super easy plants. Have plenty of super easy seed saving brochures available. Have people who are experienced seed savers wear a badge that says, “Ask me about seed saving.” Let folks know that there are people who can answer questions about seed saving. Have a class, at or before the swap, about seed saving. Clean Up: Make sure volunteers stick around to help clean up, take notes on what you can do to improve the event for next time, and bundle remaining seeds to
go to your local seed library. Helpful Tips from Richmond Grows Make sure you have lots of envelopes for folks to write info on. Richmond Grows has stamp they use to pre-stamp hundreds of envelopes before the event to encourage people to write quality information on the seeds they take with them. If you have a web presence, or if you’re emailing folks about the event, you may also want to have them be able to download labels so they can bring in welllabeled seeds to share. To learn more about hosting a seed swap, see Richmond Grows Seed Lending Library’s seed swap guide. Be sure to sign the Save Seed Sharing petition to show your support and receive updates about the seed sharing movement. Relationships The interconnectiveness among all human beings and, consequently, the relationships among us are the focus of this section. The dynamics of the web of connections we make is one of the most prominent aspects of human existence: how we interlace with each other’s existence in a meaningful way.
Having a Strategy for Dealing With Difficult Co-Workers By Marcia Sirota, MD. Anyone who works with other people -- and that’s the vast majority of us -- has had to deal with a problematic co-worker at some point in their career.
Omtimes.com
Whether it’s the office brownnoser; the office gossip; the person who steals your ideas and claims them as their own; or the jealous and competitive colleague who tries to sabotage your success, eventually everyone is going to encounter a co-worker who’s problematic.
We all need to love and accept ourselves no matter what our boss or co-workers feel, and we shouldn’t look to them to boost our self-esteem.
The most important thing to realize when dealing with people like this is that it’s not about you. These are complicated, even troubled individuals who can’t help but act out their issues in the workplace.
Although we spend most of our waking hours at work and our jobs can provide us with a great deal of satisfaction, pride, meaning, and fulfillment, we must be careful not to have our entire selfworth bound up in our job.
While the work environment might seem like a big family in that the dynamics can often be similar to parent-child and sibling interactions, it’s essential to remember that the people at work are not your family or loved ones.
When we take responsibility for our sense of self and have other things in our life that bring us fulfillment and self-worth, we’re less affected by how others see us or interact with us and it becomes that much easier to contend with the challenging people at work.
Your supervisors are not your parents, and your co-workers aren’t your siblings or your friends. While some managers and co-workers might be incredibly supportive, helpful
and even fun to work with, it’s not their responsibility to love you or to make you feel good about yourself.
While it’s up to each one of us to develop our own sense of self and to combat any personal feelings of insecurity or inadequacy, we also must

reputation that will encourage people to cooperate with you, rather than trying to sabotage or take advantage of you.
We need to make sure that the way we present ourselves in the workplace encourages those around us to treat us with respect, and discourages our supervisors and co-workers from trying to abuse us.
In fact, being “friendly” with the most challenging people in the workplace can have some strategic advantages, including getting on the inside track of their plans and schemes and being seen by them as less of a target.
I recommend always having your “game face” on at work: adopting the pleasant persona of someone who is helpful to others, but apparently not a pushover; someone who is cooperative and a team player, but who wouldn’t be seen as a doormat or punching bag. The best kind of workplace strategy is to try to come across as confident, but not arrogant; agreeable but not a people pleaser, and friendly, but not working too hard to be liked. You should be polite and amicable with everyone -even those who you really can’t stand --, and this should cultivate the kind of

The best strategy for dealing with challenging co-workers is always to be strategic. This means ever being aware of the politics and interpersonal intrigues going on under the surface at work, and still, present yourself in the best possible light to colleagues and superiors alike. When you’re really in how you view your workplace when you let go of trying to make your colleagues your surrogate family and when you choose to always walk into work with your game face on, you’ll be much better equipped to deal with whatever the difficult people at work might throw at you.

How to End a Romantic Relationship
Ending a loving relationship will be a decision that we will always remember, whether it was a right decision or not, whether it is
Omtimes.com
good or bad for us, it will be something we do not forget. We may seek support, and the advice from others, but in the end, it is our decision, our life, and we must listen to our intuition. First of all, think about how it will be if you continue for another year onto this relationship, now think about being in it for 5 more years; maybe this perspective will give you an idea of what you want to do, what makes you feel good or bad. We believe that Sincerity is always very important posture in a relationship, and especially when ending one. If you are not happy, tell your partner. Explain everything that is happening to you, what goes through your head. Avoid leaving doubts. If something goes wrong, the chances of you still suffering from the end of this relationship will be enormous. To make such a decision, the ending of a romantic
relationship, it is necessary to be very realistic and make the internal resolution not to deceive ourselves, for this self-deception can harm us and hurt the other person. To know if it’s time to end our love relationship, maybe it’s time to ask ourselves some questions; don’t look for who to blame, because a relationship consists of two people, not one. Throwing all the blame on the other person is a big mistake. The same can be observed on taking upon the responsibility of all the relationship problems too! Get the idea off your head that making yourself to feel responsible will be a way to get rid of the problem. That is not a good strategy in the long run. We should seek to understand what has happened to our relationship and why it is failing, and how we can learn from this “romantic experience” with wisdom and patience.
Omtimes.com
If you are sure that the end is the best way for you, be firm in your decision. This does not mean being harsh but means to be determined. Do not leave uncertainties or open paths, or some open doors for a future turn back if it is not what you want, this can only hurt the other person more. Never end a relationship by using message, email or phone. This is the worst attitude anyone can have. Never elect any of these alternatives. Instead, meet in person to talk, look in the eye the other person and solve all the issues on one honest go. Do not be afraid to end a failing romantic relationship and do not run away. To disappear from the map without giving any explanation is a cowardly attitude that only hurts everyone involved. Questions you should ask
Omtimes.com
yourself before ending a relationship Many of the questions that we will ask ourselves before ending a relationship will be painful because sometimes reality hurts, but it will be necessary to reflect and to understand who we are and what we want from a relationship. Ending a relationship hurts, but continuing with one that does not work, hurts a lot more. Is this the relationship I want? If we stop to think if the relationship we have is what we want, we will be able to get a clear perspective on what we really want. It is important to be very realistic about our relationship, as we said earlier, try not to excuse certain situations or attitudes that are not pleasant to us. If we want something else, if we want to have another type of relationship, we
probably are not with the right person. Think carefully about what you really want, not what others say, or think is best for you. What is lost and what is gained by the relationship and the breakup? Often, we insist on continuing on failing relationships without realizing that it may signify a personal liberation, to end the relationship with a person who does not make us happy. It is advisable to make an analysis of the relationship and possible disruption to see what we have lost and what we have gained, but above all, it is important to feel what our heart and intuition say. We cannot ignore this feeling that we can feel in the depths of our heart. Does the problem have a solution? When you are unsure
about what reasons make you want to end the relationship, it is important to see if there is a possibility to resolve the problem with your partner and whether or not it is worth seeking a solution to it. For example, if the problem is that you and your partner have a lot of disagreements and argue a lot, maybe the solution is to learn to discuss with more maturity and learn how to better manage your emotions. If you ask all the previous questions and still decided to end the relationship, you are likely to go through a complicated period, but remember that all the pain eventually will subside, and things get better over the course of time. All people need a time of assimilation. However, there will come a time when you will realize that you made the right decision with maturity and courage.

The Magic Use of Candles By Shakti World
Since time Immemorial we find candles being used in Temples, representing the holy element of fire during Sacred rituals. Candles are always portrayed to be involved with mysteries and myths, they are also symbols of illumination, activation, canalization, and connection with the divinity. Fire is a creative element, especially regarding the power of rebirth and regeneration properties. Candles are connector element esoterically related to the salamanders, nature elementals that are energy transformers. The candle magic is ever present in our daily lives, the act of lightening a candle for a birthday Omtimes.com
celebration represented the potential to activate that light and channel the energy of manifestation of our intentions to our daily lives. When we sing and clap around a birthday person, before they blow the candle, we are just generating enough energy to move the intention through space, channeled by the fire towards the ethers of the astral plane. A distinctive feature of Candle Magic is its flexibility. Most of the rituals that surround it can be adapted for any purpose. Candle ritual can target material prosperity, conflict resolution, career advancement, finding a life partner and revealing creative potential, developing extrasensory abilities, gaining
insight into future events, and so on. The ritual practice of magic candles is very diverse and ranges from simple rituals using one candle to elaborate ceremonies using many of them. Also, they are divided into one-day rituals and rituals of several more days. The candle ritual goes beyond the simple use of a candle since the focus is the correlation of qualities and properties of a candle, their colors with the purpose of a ritual, as well as the corresponding preparation of the candle itself. We use the candles just to symbolize our magic through their flames. Fire is the symbol of the mental plane and activity. The act of lighting the candle for the Guardian Angel is how to activate your request and bring it to the etheric plane. In the biblical texts, God manifested Himself to Moses in the form of fire. Hence the reason we use the candles in magic. The Candle practice intentions to activate, keep alive, symbolize the link of
our thoughts and desires with the angelic world through the manifestation of our Higher Self. Through the flame of a candle, all the forces of nature are activated. The lit candle symbolizes the individualization of the ascending life and the light of the soul. Why use colored candles to anchor the energy of your guardian angels? Because our aura is colored and when we visualize a specific color, our aura starts to reflect it. It is through this alchemical process that the angel will grasp and understand our requests. This is the first link to the angels. When lighting a candle, it is possible to identify some messages that they transmit to us. Candle Messages and Angels CANDLE DOES NOT TURN ON RIGHT AWAY. The Angel may be having difficulty anchoring. The astral environment around you may be polluted. BURNING CANDLE WITH OVERLAY BLUE LIGHT Indicates the presence of Angels and Fairies. It is a good sign. Omtimes.com
UNSTABLE FLAME The Angel demonstrates that because of the circumstances, your request will have some changes. FLAME UP AND DOWN You are thinking of several things at once. Your mind is a bit tumultuous to request an intention. Focus and try again. FLAME THAT SETS SPARKLES IN THE AIR The Angel will put someone on your way to communicate with you, try to pay attention. You may have some disappointment before your request is adequately answered. FLAME THAT APPEARS A SPIRAL It means the connection was made, a vortex was opened, and Your requests will be realized. This type of flame communicates that the Angel is already carrying your message up. WHEN THE WICK GETS DIVIDED INTO TWO The request was made dubiously. Again, try to focus and try

again. Your message was not perceived clearly enough to merit manifestation. BRIGHT WICK’S POINT You will have lots of luck and success in your request. CANDLE WITH MANY “TEARS” It means that the spiritual connection was not made. The Angel is having difficulties carrying and manifesting this request. THE LITTLE WICK LEFT, AND THE WAX TURNS BACK Your Angel is in need of more prayers and meditations to generate energy for action. THE CANDLE TURNS OFF The Angel will help in the most challenging part of the request, the rest is up to you. As always, pay close attention to the messages that the Angels send us, they are essential and critical. Some simple rules How to Use a Magic Candle
I will give some recommendations on the use of magic candles: Burn the candles in candlesticks or saucers that are exclusively for magic. No finding a dish in the kitchen and thinking it’s okay to use it in a ritual. Try to pass your energy to the candles that you intend to use, mainly that explicitly directed to the magical or manifestation goal.
which you plan to make use of it. Prepare the energies ahead of time. Always avoid confusion and mixed signals. Do not use magic candles for other purposes. If you made a candle for a love spell, for example, you should not use it again for another purpose, nor just as a lighting device when you run out of electricity.
Do not reuse candles, since the candle was used in a ritual, it should not be reused. By doing so, you may confuse the energies contained therein. Rule of thumb is, keep this clear and uncomplicated.
Do not buy too many candles for magic at the same time. As mentioned above, candles significantly absorb energy. If you hold different candles for distinct rituals together, this can cause a change in your energetic essence, confusion of different strengths and mutual influence, which can lead to problems in performing the ceremony. It is advisable to keep only the required number of candles.
Another famous rule is that candles should be dedicated to the energies with which you want to work with their manufacturing phase, or you should take some time to consecrate and sanctify its energy before its use. But never do this during the ritual in
Before the ritual, always calculate the time of the burning of the candle, so that it does not end until its end. It is not necessary to use a candle that burns for an extended time beyond what is needed if it is not required by the conditions of the magic.
Light the candles with matches, do not use lighters and never blow a ritual candle; if you need to erase it, use a flame damper or your fingers.

Sound Secrets of the Ultimate Wealth Mantra
Shreem Brzee By Dr. Baskaran Pillai Pillai Center Founder
Shreem Brzee is a sound, a bosonic sound, that can create a reality of prosperity for everyone, regardless of whether or not you have a skill set, education, or anything. It doesn’t really matter. It is the ultimate wealth building mantra.
Shreem
Brzee
The sound of money, which is not a dollar bill, but real money which is gold, is Shreem. But the sound of money is also the sound of life. Money is life. It sustains life. You are born with this sound, Shreem. It is the sound of life, the sound of the soul that will persist forever. When you begin to live Shreem, it becomes easy for you to manifest because life itself is a manifestation. Shreem is therefore a manifesting energy that attracts wealth, attracts money. Shreem is a feminine sound of the Mother Goddess who is creative in nature. It has the ability to create by virtue of its own sound structure. It will increase your conceptual ability, because you have to conceive in order to create. Shreem is going to give you permanent merit. What is permanent merit? Health is permanent merit, not just physical health, but also spiritual health. It will also give you psychological health, and beautiful relationships, because Shreem is a mantra that's completely full. It’s completely flawless. It will give you a flawless life.
Brzee changes your poverty consciousness, your skepticism, your confusion. All of these are erased by the sound Brzee. It will remove your karma. “Br” is a sound of birth. It’s as if you are being reborn. Your identity, whatever identity you have, has to be shattered. Brzee will shatter your identity. Your identity is a limitation. By shattering your identity, you will be reborn. When you are reborn, you can have a new life. Also, Brzee will be like a watch dog to keep away wrong projects from your mind. It will spontaneously spring the right thoughts. The right thoughts will show up, the right projects, because of the power of Brzee.
The Primary Goal of Shreem Brzee The primary goal of Shreem Brzee is not just bringing you material wealth, but the greater wealth of consciousness, of understanding of knowledge, of seeing beyond matter. The material wealth will be a byproduct. You will get what I call a 200% life - 100% material and 100% spiritual.
How to Use Shreem Brzee All you need to understand is this sound works like a seed. The banyan tree is so huge, yet it is contained in a small seed. But you don’t see the tree in the seed. The same way, Shreem Brzee the sound, has the total wealth of the universe embedded within it. All that you have to do is just say the sound over and over again, and it will create all the wealth that you want to create. That is how it works. It’s something very mechanical. Just hammer your brain with this sound. And there is actually an example of a wine cork hammering a huge iron bar. And it keeps on hammering the iron bar, and the huge iron bar gets bent just by the cork constantly hitting it. This is exactly the same thing that is happening when you use the sound Shreem Brzee. You don’t even have to understand the dynamics of it, how it works. It’s just like an aspirin. You take an aspirin and then your headache is gone. You don’t go and ask the pharmacist what is the ingredient in the aspirin, and
how it works. The sound is wealth itself, it’s wealth consciousness itself. By saying it over and over again, then you will have wealth consciousness. Your mind has to become the mantra. That means you don't think about anything except the mantra. If you go on thinking about the mantra all the time, then all the powers of the mantra will become yours. Now everybody talks about the relationship between mind and matter, that it is the mind that creates matter. But, that condition has to be lived. Mind and matter should collapse to one reality. That is called Siddha Sankalpa. Siddha Sankalpa means a perfect thought. When you have a perfect thought, it manifests itself into matter. So all of the time what you need to do is to think Shreem Brzee, with focus. If you do that, then you can collapse it into a material reality.
Why Intuition Fails You— and What to Do About It By Robyn M Fritz Intuition may fail us because we don’t know how to access it or we think it’s “divine” or just for “special” people. However, intuition is a practical skill we all have. It answers specific questions in nonlinear and

non-empirical ways. Once we learn how intuition gives us information, simple tips can help us begin to tap its power in our lives, from determining what intuitive abilities are to tracking practical, intuitive experiments. What Is Intuition? Guess what? Intuition isn’t divine, isn’t limited to “special” people, and isn’t always right. What is intuition? It’s our innate ability to gather information that answers a specific question in nonlinear and non-empirical ways. When we use our intuition, we are not following Steps A to B to C in the scientific method because the objective measurement is not intuitive. Why Doesn’t Intuition Work? Our firm belief in an empirical scientific method is precisely why most of us fail to tap our intuition. Intuitive information often doesn’t make sense to us the way we’ve been told to access the world, so we give up trying. Or we’re taught that it is somehow divine, just because sometimes we use our intuition to connect with spiritual teams, angels, or soul purpose, and the
“divine” isn’t the first thing we turn to for practical decisionmaking. If we get past those blocks, we’re stymied because it looks like intuition is limited to “special” people, the psychics who tune in and get guidance for us. But we are all born intuitive, because intuition is a real sense just like our ability to see, hear, taste, touch, and smell. It doesn’t work because we talk ourselves out of it by insisting we can’t do it or “that isn’t how things are done” (i.e., the “rational” scientific method). Once we’re past our blocks and actually accessing our intuition we have another problem: intuition isn’t always right. Nothing is, but it’s usually because we aren’t accessing it correctly. We mistake a gutache for an intuitive hit, or we get information that isn’t relevant to the question we’re asking (because we’ve tapped into somebody else’s answers, or don’t know how to analyze what we get). We’ve been brainwashed to think it’s too hard or esoteric, so we’ve lost Omtimes.com
touch with the simple, intuitive ways that came naturally to our ancestors. That means we now have to look at it as a foreign language and find a way to learn it. How Intuition Works To tap our intuition, we first have to let go of our judgment and the logical, linear way we’ve been taught to think. Intuition is only new to us because we’ve been ignoring it for generations. If we think about it as a practical skill we can re-learn, we’re releasing the blocks to learning. That is, if we don’t think we can do something, we can’t— not because of skill or ability, but because we end up not bothering. Finding out how our particular intuitive ability works are key. Just as some people taste foods as too salty or sweet, each person’s natural skill is uniquely theirs.
angels. Their visual sense is heightened or sharpened. • Hearing. Yes, people will hear things and other people talking to them—in their heads. Since everything has a soul and is alive, that could mean our homes and businesses, animals, and even rain clouds are connecting with us. Really. • Feeling. Commonly mistaken as empathy, intuitive sense means people experience the feelings and emotions of others around them, including humans, animals, and so on. • Knowing. Intuitive knowing is the toughest because it means recognizing something when there is no physical evidence. These people are great in emergencies because they seem to know what is coming or react to a situation “one step ahead.”
There are four necessary intuitive abilities:

start locating it right away. Yes, “homework.” • Practice each intuitive ability. We are all a combination of those four primary intuitive skills, and they combine differently on any given day. It takes practice to identify our most active ability, and more training until the others click in. What “hits” are common sense, emotional, factual, experiential … and intuitive? • Practice random hits. Intuition kept our ancestors alive, alerting them to predators sneaking up on them. We can make intuition practical by tuning into our environment. During the day randomly ask what time it is, and then find out. Eventually, you will be spot on—because your intuition is working with you for environmental awareness. • Hit the supermarket. Walk into a grocery’s produce section and grab the first fruit that appeals to you and the first one that doesn’t. Buy them. Take them home and examine and eat them, using all your physical senses and your intuition.
• Keep a journal. Record intuitive experiments, from what worked to what didn’t, including how the body felt at the time, how information arrived, what happened next. Over time patterns emerge. Remember, intuition is always giving us the information we need to survive. These simple first steps will help develop your intuition. Save the life-changing decisions for later, when it becomes second nature. Remember, intuition is our birthright. Work it. Record experiments. Notice patterns. It’s telling you what you need to know. 5 Steps to Raise Your Frequency Signature Right Now By OMTimes
We are vibrational beings, every day we are in a constant state of change because the outside energy never stays the same. In your daily life, every moment, every action, interaction, and reactions
Omtimes.com
impact our overall energy level and state of well-being. Every choice we make will help us increase or decrease our vibrational signature.
1. Focus and stay in the present moment
When we are blessed with good days, our vibrational energy is more inclined to stabilize on the positive side, but there are days when nothing seems to be going in the right direction.
If you are continually living in a state of anxiety about the future or reliving the past, then you are wasting the energy available to you in the present moment. In doing so, you are directing all your energetic circuits to feed unreachable goals.
Through our own research and study on vibrational frequencies, we have learned that lower vibrational frequencies are most likely associated with negative emotions, such as fear, stagnation, anger, lethargy, health problems, and even depression. “If you want to find the secrets of the universe, think regarding energy, frequency, and vibration. - Nikola Tesla
So here are 5 ways to increase your energy signature
Living in the present moment is the source of your power and energy!
Practice the forgiving yourself and others, letting go of the past, and cutting cords and bonds with those lowvibrating energies. In doing so, you open yourself to experience the magic and beauty of living in the now. 2. Concentrate on your breathing To experience an immediate energetic improvement, just close your eyes and focus your mind on your breath. Bring all

your consciousness to the act to breathe in and breathe out.
allow us to suggest you some ideas:
This practice takes you into your body, soothes the nervous system and increases your awareness of the present moment. By focusing on your breath, you become aware of your mind and all the energies around you.
- Take a walk in the park; - Gardening; - Meditate outdoors; - Go to the beach;
The simple discipline of concentration brings you back to the present moment and allows you to experience all the wealth it contains. 3. Focus on nature Nature is a natural mood lift and is an excellent way to increase your vibrational frequency. We recommend that you do not wait until your energy runs out to spend time in nature; be proactive. If you are not sure what to do to integrate nature energies,
Omtimes.com
“Watch the beginning of the night. There are many different opportunities offered by the great outdoors that may help you connect with the centering energies of the Mother Earth. Engaging in such activities will remind you of Mother Nature’s beauty and will lift your spirit and frequency. 4. Focus on an inspired action We spent the days in a constant state of multitasking and overload. Daily activities may leave us drained, and most of the times frustrated because we feel that our to-do list grows
more and more, and our time to act upon those tasks gets shorter. So, what is the solution? Focus on inspired action. Prioritize and act on the things that add more value to your life and the lives of those around you. Slow down, and consciously focus on what matters most in your life. 5. Concentrate on yourself So, take the time to understand your feelings. There is a misconception that if a feeling is not constructive, you must eliminate it. This is the absolute opposite of being a real spiritual being. Spirituality is about experiencing all our feelings and learning to integrate them, eliminating our “dark spots.
So, experience and process your feelings carefully. In fact, the sooner you do this, the easier it will be to release any feelings of low energy and create more space for proper high energy feelings such as joy, contentment, gratitude, and well-being. In reality, you are responsible for your own energy. Your active state attracts the experiences you’ll live on a daily basis. Make sure you can engage in daily practices like mindfulness, gratitude, higher energy habits, and healthy eating to ensure you are at your best vibrational energy. When you operate at a high vibrational frequency, it becomes a magnet that attracts love, abundance, experiences, events, and positive and rewarding relationships.

Manifesting a New Vision for Your Life
Here we are in a new year that is desperately “calling us to live from our purpose so we can create new possibilities for our life and the planet.
Omtimes.com
Many of us are making a critical change on the planet by using our talents and gifts to serve the world. However, too many of us are still living our lives in ways that do not support who we really are. One of the most powerful ways I know to make change is to design a vision plan which will help you to raise your vibration, so you can shift your thinking. A vision plan can help you align deeply within your soul to manifest clarity, creative ideas, and powerful healing tools. Let’s begin with three big questions. First, what is a vision plan? A vision plan is a tool to help us manifest what we want in life. We develop our plan through a process we use to clearly identify and then focus on what we want to experience: physically, mentally and spiritually. Our vision process could be expressed through any medium we choose, such as words, pictures, music, or art. This visioning exploration process will become our vision plan.
I have observed many times that I do not “hold” the vision, the vision holds me. The manifestation of our desires requires faith, trust, and the willingness to surrender to a power higher than one’s self. “We do not create a vision, we simply link into a piece of the Universal Vision that already exists as it filters through our own perception.” Second, why create a vision plan? Creating your personal vision for your life is one of the most vital, life-affirming activities in which you can engage. It is one of the most important keys to finding and living your life purpose so you can enjoy a life you love! Dr. Michael Beckwith says, “People who have no vision for their life are sleepwalking without a hint as to why they are here or what their purpose is. They are drifting along on the currents of the culture’s beliefs of the day, whether those beliefs are good or bad. People who don’t have a vision, who are not open to their purpose in life, are living on the edge of life, usually controlled by fear.” Omtimes.com
Finally, how do we create or discover our vision of the future? We need to think big. We need to think from a higher vibration. We need to create from the future, not from the low energy of the normal, ordinary mind, our current mindset. Albert Einstein said, “No problem can be solved from the same level of consciousness that created it.” In other words, we can’t expect to manifest a powerful vision for our lives from an unconscious or ordinary “low vibration” mind which operates out of fear, or lack of deserving or abundance. Otherwise, we will manifest the same level of life or circumstances we already have. So, how do we invite our life’s vision to emerge from us? How do we manifest it? First, think about WHY creating your vision plan is important to you. Second, understand that it will evolve as you discover more about how you want your life to be. Just as the caterpillar in
Omtimes.com
the chrysalis must complete its gestation period to become a beautiful butterfly, creating your vision plan will take some time. It can’t be rushed. Here are ways to start your visioning process: Find a quiet place to be alone so you can still your mind. Ask your higher self, “What is the highest vision for me? In my current life, what do I need to release for my dreams to emerge? What do I need to learn, and embrace?” What do I need to become to manifest my vision? Answer the questions. Then, close your eyes and visualize what you deeply desire; visualize yourself fully living your dream! See it, feel it, and live it. You are now on your way to creating the life you deeply desire! How I Saved My Life & 5 Lessons That Can Change Yours Today
omtimes.com
April A 2018 Edition
My inner being must have known that chaos would be good for my soul. It must have known that a magical country full of vibrant colors and sacred cows had much to teach me. And it must have known that almost dying would be the beginning of something wonderful. In fact, I now know that it did. By the time I realized I would need something drastic to save my life, every muscle, nerve and cell in my body had deteriorated to a frightening place. I had brain lesions, cardiac issues, full-blown arthritis, and pain in every inch of my being. I was only 28-years-old and had lost all but my will to live I couldn’t imagine at the time how this would all turn out; odds stacked against me with no hope in sight. But then, as if the slow-motion mechanism of my life suddenly shattered, everything changed. After years of treacherous medical treatment for chronic Lyme disease and other manifestations of a failed immune system, I was unsuccessful at reinfusing life into my tired, pain-entrenched body. That when I heard about an experimental stem cell treatment in India. My specialist at home told me it might kill me. I packed my bags and went anyway. I knew I needed India. I felt this in my bones. I surely didn’t understand all the reasons why; but a decade later, it’s all perfectly clear. India would not the beginning of my healing and would not be the end of it. India would be where I’d gather more of the pieces that I needed for my ultimate healing. When I emerged from that 21-hour plane ride and into the ramshackle airport in Delhi, India, I was catapulted into a new world where everything I ever needed to know was right there waiting for me. And those lessons were arguably, just as important as medical treatment. omtimes.com

1. You will be okay During my almost nine weeks in India, I was pushed to the brink of my insanity. Nothing was familiar and I was sick and scared in a country with a culture that I didn’t understand. But this is what I learned: It will often feel like you won’t be okay; and that feeling will linger for days and hours and years maybe. But when you least expect it, it will start to pass. And it will likely happen when you finally learn to be okay during the times you doubt it ever will. Close your eyes and imagine the all your suffering as the wind. Wind always, always moves. And this time in your life—full of all it is this very second, will move too. And when life doesn’t move, we do by adapting and learning to move through it.
2. Changing your focus will change your life Whatever we focus our energy toward will grow, whether it be the challenges in our lives or the successes. While at times it may be difficult to dig out of the trenches, we must find a omtimes.com
way to focus on the light for that is the pull that will draw us nearer. It is often said that talking about our problems is our greatest addiction. Shifting your energy takes the practice of baby steps and the commitment to one day arrive at the place where it feels better to talk about our joys. I recommend only trying to find the next “least negative” thought than the one you are currently thinking. Don’t try to jump from miserable to happy thoughts. Just try to get to the next best place. In my book, This Is How I Save My Life (Gallery Books at Simon & Schuster, April 2018), I write: “Somewhere between the time I arrived in Delhi and the time I left, I went from an existence committed to “killing” disease to an existence committed to “healing” me. I had to acknowledge the parts of me that were saved when I stopped fueling “the war on Lyme”—for I was throwing the energy of a fight into my very own body.”
April A 2018 Edition
3. You have more power than you think You will realize that the only person victimizing you when you have the “victim mentality,” is yourself. You will come to see that even though you might feel powerless, there is always something you can do to move yourself forward. You have to choose that something wisely though. It is not regurgitating your challenges to everyone who will listen and writing angry letters to all those who don’t understand you. It won’t be easy, but it is your job and until you are accountable for that job, you will always be waiting for someone else to fix you. As I learned, happiness comes when you decide, despite all that has gone wrong, it is up to you to heal, grow, love and live anyway.
4. “It is what it is” There are two ways to look at the world: the way we think it should work, and the way it actually does. The struggle in life often comes when we fight the latter. Part of the secret of omtimes.com
embracing the flow of life is the acceptance of the way things actually are. Life will play out differently than you want it to and the more you expect that, the better off you’ll be. Being in control is an illusion that drains your energy, puts you on edge and makes you miss all the good stuff. When we find a place of letting things and people be how they are, without the internal drive to change them, we come to a place of peace. Your family may not love you in the way you want them to, but it also may be the only way they know how. Your life may not transform at the pace you demand, but it might be for a reason you don’t yet understand. In addition, some things in life just simply don’t seem fair and that can be ok too. There is liberation in accepting the way things are, all while refusing to let it define how you feel. This is the elusive pot at the end of the rainbow: the gold of setting yourself free.
5. You already know the way
April A 2018 Edition
Perhaps the most important lesson of all is that you are the perfect compass for your own journey. After years of listening to the medical experts about my body, I finally did what I hadn’t so many times before: I began to listen to myself. I never came up with any “good” justification of why I should board a plane for a flight I wasn’t guaranteed to survive, to get an experimental treatment that might also kill me. But, I did it anyway. And, I did it anyway on a simple hunch that I should. In the end, going to India and getting the stem cells was not my singular cure, but rather the impetus to do the real healing work that was necessary—for my soul. I have discovered that sometimes the hunches that make the least sense are often the most important messages. I’ve found that ego and intuition do not pair well, so we have to release our fears of being wrong if we want that inner guidance to speak up with enough volume and confidence to grab our attention.
eventually heal permanently and completely. I’d also end up finding my future wife during my subsequent travels to India; a land I came to love after that first trip. Yes, I knew that I needed India from the start. For the most part, I had no idea why; but I still knew that I did. Really though, that is the glorious thing about life. It gets you right to where you need to be, even if it's a twisty, scary, ride that sometimes seems to be going nowhere.
As it turned out, I would

World Vision
In a medieval world dominated by insecurity, clergy, and feudal lords, Hildegard von Bingen did not allow herself to be overlooked. With great skill and hard work, she built and Omtimes.com
managed two convents, wrote books on theology, medicine, and natural sciences, composed sacred music and excel being a woman beyond her time. Her most significant battle, however, was not to be silenced.
because of her exceptional abilities and her vision, she was never canonized as a saint, in fact, her canonization process was archived during the 13th century. She was too telluric to be holy.
Hildegard von Bingen or the Sibyl of the Rhine was an abbess, a writer, poet, a polymath, scientist, doctor, composer, philosopher, visionary. She was also considered a precursor of Opera, of Ecological studies and perspectives and she even invented her own language, that may as well be the first artificial language in History of Mankind. Hildegard is also a founder of natural history in Germany, a nun and a Christian mystic. Her life, as could have expected, was controversial and complicated; She was a multidimensional woman. In fact, she was the only woman of her days who not only dared to talk about the role of female pleasure but also to make a series of medical recommendations in favor of women’s sexual health. Maybe,
She spoke fearlessly about her ideas, beliefs, and predictions, while the twelfth-century court learned to listen to it. Hildegard came from a noble family in the Alzey region of southern Germany. By the age of three, the future abbess had visionary abilities. But it was only at the age of fifteen, as an inmate of the convent next to the Benedictine monastery of Disibodenberg, that she realized how unique her skills really were. Hildegard von Bingen was born in the year 1098, and she became a “human tithe. As the tenth daughter of her family, her parents gave her to the Church as their contribution. They left her in the monastery of monks of Disivodemberg, which housed

She was eight years old and had begun to have visions at three, but it was not until she was forty that she started to hear a voice telling her to write and draw everything that her eyes and ears could reach. Throughout his medicinal, botanical, theological and liturgical texts, as well as her songs, poems and drawings, Hildegard made it clear that “the sexual act was something beautiful, sublime and ardent.” She spoke to us from medieval science with an intellectual stance, and thanks to this, she even received the approval of Pope Eugene III to open her own monastery of women in Rupertsberg and to preach both in cities and in towns her interpretation of the Bible. That was - quite frankly surprising, for the time, this activity was exclusively reserved for men. But Hildegard was no ordinary

woman, she was an adviser to kings, nobles, and popes. Hildegard spoke about sex without fear: brightly and passionately. She was the first to dare to assure that pleasure was a matter of two and that women could feel it too. The first historically registered description of the female orgasm from a woman’s point of view was done by her. But she had a very peculiar idea of sexuality, considering that she was a nun and that she lived in the 12th century. For her, the sexual act was something beautiful, sublime and ardent. In his medical books, he addressed sexuality and, especially, in Causa et curae, where she gave more details. We would not be exaggerating calling her the first proto-feminist. Ana Martos Rubio writes in her book ‘Medieval History of Sex and Eroticism’ “Just as for Augustine of Hippo concupiscence is the punishment of God, for Hildegarde, who did not
dare to contradict him and admitted the idea that original sin it was derived from lust, the fault was exclusive of Satan. According to Hildegard, Satan was who blew poison on the apple before delivering it to Eve, envious of her motherhood. That poison was, precisely, the pleasure and, its flavor was the sexual desire “. She continues: “Sexual desire is the taste of the apple De Gustu Pomi, also the title of the work of Hildegarde von Bingen in which it describes the taste of the human condition, the delicious flavor that gives way to the vice of vice, the pleasant and intoxicating taste of sin, “writes the author Ana Martos. Many of Hildegard’s visions are found in her chefd’oeuvres Scivias, Causa et curae, Liber vitae meritorum (1150-63) and Liber Divinorum operum (1163), where the first written description of the female orgasm is found. She exposed her theology on the microcosm and the macrocosm in which man is a mirror by which reflects the splendor of
the macrocosm, and finally, rescued the feeling between the two sexes: “When the woman joins the male, the heat of her brain, which has pleasure in her, makes him savor the pleasure in the union and ejaculate his semen. And when the semen has fallen into its place, this very strong heat of the brain attracts it and holds it with itself, and immediately the woman’s bundle is contracted. All the limbs closed during menstruation are ready to open, in the same way, that a strong man holds a thing in his hand.” Hildegard brings out, with eloquent ease, the naturalness of sexuality, filling us with descriptions and analyzes both biological and psychological aspects of it. In fact, from these texts, she developed a sexual theology based on the human understanding, recovering the diversity around the physiological determinism, the astrological implications and the character of the

people. Her sexual theology made it clear that not only was the strength of semen would determine the sex of the child, but also that the amount of love and passion would determine the health of in which the baby would arrive. She also believed that at worst, when the seed was weak, and the parents did not feel mutual love, the result was a bitter daughter. Also, she adds the idea that a man possesses three capacities in his generative power: “sexual desire, sexual powerfortitude, and sexual actstadium,” where “the libido first turns on power, so that sexual activity of the couple is produced by an intimate mutual desire.” In short, this is the case of a woman who helped to clarify from different points of view the essence of the human being, giving her gender a more equitable position than that which her contemporary natural philosophers used to give to any women. the case of a woman from the Middle Ages, who lived to the age of 80 and extolled the arts, theology, medicine, and hope in humanity. Her unique works in the hospital, and in the convent garden lead to two other famous written works by the abbess, the natural science book Physica and the natural medicine Cause et al., Written between 1151 and 1158. Hildegard’s work on medicinal plants written in 1158 is, until today, a reference to natural medicine. Like her contemporary friend, St Bernard of Clairvaux, Hildegard does not believe in finding God in reason. She learned to look at the lilies of the fields and to see in them the divine presence that would also lead to the cure of diseases. For her, the healthy man was in tune with God. Hildegard allied the ancient medicine of the Greeks, propagated by Galen, to the Christian faith. For her, micro and macrocosm interact side by side in their perception
of man and God. Hildegard von Bingen had become a myth among the LGTBI collective for its supposed homosexuality and also in an accessible and inspiring icon for various artists. Devendra Banhart dedicated the song ‘Für Hildegard von Bingen.’ Ken Follet began his documentary ‘The Journey of Ken Follet to the Middle Ages’ with his story and acknowledged that Hildegard inspired Caris, the protagonist of his book ‘A world without end.’ Hildegard has been attributed disciplines that did not even exist in the twelfth century, such as anthropology, ecology and Natural History. To speak of Hildegard von Bingen is to talk of chilling apocalyptic visions, of natural remedies for absolutely everything (a type of German alternative medicine part of her writings) and of the first woman who managed to access the sins of others through confession. She invented a language, the Lingua Ignota, with its own alphabet, which is considered
the first artificial language and a possible precursor of Esperanto. She is regarded as the pioneer of opera, and there are even those who, going too far, have dared to think her the first Rockstar in history. She rubbed shoulders with kings and popes, denounced the ravings of the clergy, and his voice was as valuable as the rest of the men when the women lived in silence, in the house or in the convent. To say that she was ahead of his time is, slightly falling into a commonplace, just not doing justice to her character. She went much further than was even imagined for women in the twelfth century. The twelfth century brought many changes to the Middle Ages, which shrank from the idea of an absolute God. Hildegard was Aristotelian avant la lettre. Only in the following century, St. Thomas Aquinas, the wisest of the saints, would theologically rescue Aristotelianism in Christian doctrine.
