A Miracle Mindset by Dirk Terpstra “A Miracle Mindset” with Daily Gratitude In “A Miracle Mindset,” author and fitness expert J.J. Virgin shares with readers her unique view on a personal family health crisis. It is filled with

Omtimes.com

the insight and honesty that OMTimes readers have come to expect from J.J. Virgin. Dirk Terpstra begins the interview. DIRK TERPSTRA: To be honest J.J., I googled you. I found out about the Virgin Diet, The Sugar Impact Diet, the quality protein shakes, meal replacement bars. I thought, ‘Hmm, that is interesting.’ I live a very healthy lifestyle, but I am not very focused on specific protein bars and all that. And then a very different book landed on my desk by J.J. Virgin, but with a very different message. The title of your latest book is “A Miracle Mindset.” You are basically writing about a very touching, but also a very beautiful story about a mother, her son, and life’s hardest lessons. It was very beautiful to see the rawness of life, to experience that and to feel that. So, I am very grateful that I could read it. Maybe you want to explain also to the people who are reading this, what inspired you to write “Miracle Mindset”? J.J. VIRGIN: So, it seems like a sideways turn in the road, but the reality is that when you really

think about you are healthy it is not just what you eat, it is not how you exercise. The biggest part of your health is your mindset, and I never really thought about it. I had been studying nutrition and fitness and functional medicine for decades and working on it for 30 years. But I had also been a student of personal development since I was 25. It just was a part of me that I never thought about. I used it in my work because, so often, when people are trying to get to the next level in their health, the thing that will hold them back is not strategy it is their self-worth. And you can never outgrow that, but it was interesting as I had a major crisis with my 16-year-old son. He was the victim of a hit and run, and was left for dead on the street, and we got to the hospital - he was air-lifted to our local hospital - and when we got there, the doctor told us that he had a torn aorta, which kills 90 percent of the people on the scene. He was hanging on by an onion skin, and he said, ‘It is going to rupture within the next 24 hours unless it is repaired. But we cannot repair it here, as it needs a very specialized surgery, and if Omtimes.com

we did it here we would have to use a blood thinner,’ and he had multiple brain bleeds. He was in a deep coma, and his brain would have bled out, so we would have had to airlift him to another hospital. The doctor said he is never going to survive an airlift and, even if he were to survive an airlift, he is not going to survive the surgery. Even if he survived both of those, the chance he would be normal is so slim, he is so brain-damaged that he would probably never have a normal life. My other son, who was 15 at the time, was with us and we were literally with my son and his bones were sticking through his skin. He was covered with road rash. You know, tubes coming out of his brain, central lines, and Bryce looks at that doctor and says: “So maybe a 25 percent chance he would make it?” And the doctor said, “That is about right son,” and Bryce said: “Well, we will take those odds.” Right there, we got him airlifted, and he survived that airlift. And the next morning, after he survived that first surgery, the neurosurgeons came in and told Omtimes.com

me that he would never wake up. I stood in that hospital, and I said: “You know, he is going to be 110 percent. He will be better than he was before.” There was no sign to show this. I was scared to death. I am the financial support for my family, and I had a book coming out, “The Virgin Diet.” I had invested everything in this book and borrowed money. So, I literally launched a New York Times best-seller bedside in the ICU, next to my son in a coma. The reason all of this was able to happen was because of our Collective Miracle Mindset; my son saying yes, we will take those odds; and me saying yes, he is going to be 110 percent; and us just making that decision. We were going to be open to possibility and be courageous and resilient. DIRK TERPSTRA: So, you made such strong, clear choices - you saying it is a Miracle Mindset or Collective Miracle Mindset. But where are--that confidence and that courage--where are they exactly coming from? J.J. VIRGIN: There is this whole thing out there about how we should be fearless. I do

not believe that we should be fearless. I think that is normal. We are going to feel fear every day. But, what we need to do, though, is step into that fear not run away from it. So, when you look at it, so often we look at the bad things in life, and we are like: “Oh, poor me.” In reality, I cannot think of one time in my life when something amazingly fantastic happened, and I left that situation and went, “Wow, I grew today,” right? I am that person now. I learned so much. You know, when things are good it is easy. But when things are challenging, that is when we step up, and we are never better than that. So, the real takeaway is I have gone through a bunch of challenges in my life. And I stepped into them and expanded my comfort zone, became more courageous, stepped into the next one, and that builds resilience. What I really realized from all of this is that your mindset is a muscle. So, that is good and bad, because like a muscle if you train it, it will expand and grow. So, there are seven different attributes that I identified. As part of this Miracle Mindset, I did an assessment so that you

could figure out where you are. But, the real key is that we can make simple habits every day-things that take minutes that will expand our mindset. The reality is that whether it is your health, or your relationships, or your business, or your finances, it is your mindset that is really going to dictate where you are, how happy you are, how successful you are. There is great science out now showing that people who are resilient, who have gone through trials, who have stepped into it and been stronger, have gotten through it and are happier. They are more successful. DIRK TERPSTRA: You mentioned the word resilience, which I love, but you use it also in the book. Because, as you know, I am a HeartMath trainer, and we often talk about resilience. The training I often teach is the resilience advantage training. So, how would you describe resilience in your life? J.J. VIRGIN: So, I like everything. I look at all the metaphors of exercise and diet, right, that is my life that I have come through. But, when you look at it, resilience to me is like endurance training, right? You always say that life is Omtimes.com

not a sprint it is a marathon, but every time you go through a little sprint, you get a little stronger. So, the way I think of resilience is that when you have got a scary situation coming up, you have a choice. You can either run away from that situation, or you can get your courage together, and you can step into it. Every time you do that, that comfort zone expands. You have a lot more confidence, so that the next time the scary situation shows up you step into it. And every time you do that, you are just building that resilience and it just keeps expanding. DIRK TERPSTRA: What fascinates me is that you mention the word courage. Sometimes, people are paralyzed by fear. Some others, like in your case, you step into your courage; and, basically, what you are saying is that it is preparation, it is training. Yes, is that what courage is? J.J. VIRGIN: One of the attributes of the Miracle Mindset is to be an action taker. And what I teach people to do is to take what I call inspired, imperfect action. Because I have been a personal trainer, a health coach, and then a business coach to help other Omtimes.com

entrepreneurs. What has blown me away over the years is to see how people get stuck in their lives. And, quite often, they get stuck because they do not have it perfect yet, right? To me, I look at that, and I go, ‘I have never once done anything perfect in my life, not one thing.’ I figure that I just should get it right 51 percent of the time, but I look at that. Or, the person who is procrastinating doing something, and I always attach when someone says, ‘I cannot do that yet,’ ‘I do not have enough degrees,’ or, you know, ‘I have not been practicing enough,’ or ‘I just put a little, I do not have to it.’ It is just a way to avoid the situation. So, I think the biggest thing that you can do is just get into action. We took imperfect action that night - we overruled the doctors and put him on another airlift with no clue if he was going to survive that airlift. I just knew he was going to die at the first hospital no matter what, so why not take those odds? But then we moved him from one hospital to the next, and they were like: “No, you should not move him yet.” But we did it, and then we moved him home because I just

intuitively felt that he needed to be at home to really heal. Was it the right choice? Some 25 percent of people with brain injuries are suicidal, and Grant was one of those. It was not easy, but we course-corrected as we went. DIRK TERPSTRA: What I found was very powerful, in the book, while your son was in a coma, was that you kept on telling him that you love him and so, later, you figured out that there was a connection there. J.J. VIRGIN: I have always been fascinated with all the near-death experiences and comas. I did not really want to live through one like this, but I have always read the books, and I thought this was so cool. Now, Grant has never read any of these books, so he was completely unaware that there are such things as near-death experiences. He did not know. So, he is coming out of the coma, and he told us this about a year later. He told us a couple of things. Number one, he said: “When you and Dad were in the waiting room while I was in surgery and Dad was in that red shirt.” I am listening to this going, “You were in a coma in surgery.

Like, what are you talking about? How did you know Dad was in a red shirt,” right? Then he starts describing the hallways in the hospital, and these were not places he had been. He had been in a coma when he was wheeled through them. Then, and this is the one that just gave me goosebumps, because I could feel him and I knew he was in there. I knew he could hear us, so I was very careful about managing every conversation around him. People would come in and say: “Oh, he will never walk again.” And I would say, “Get out of this room, do not talk to him.” We had a poor little girl basically have a seizure and die in the bed next to him. I had his ears covered; energy flow cut-off. I was, like, ‘I do not want him to hear this.’ So, he says: “Mum, you know the grey man came down, and he asked me if I wanted to live or die.” He told me, “I was talking to Grandpa on the other side.” And he goes, “It was really nice over there, and I really wanted to stay. But I kept hearing your voice and I thought about my family. So I decided I would come back, I would be with you.” I am like, ‘whew,’ you know? Omtimes.com

DIRK TERPSTRA: Of course, but a beautiful message you can give your readers, to fully trust and to keep on holding on to what you believe you should do instead of just following somebody else’s advice. I think that is so powerful. What would you say is the power behind the question that you started asking yourself? What went well today? J.J. VIRGIN: There are two things that I did that were how I was able to manage this fear. Those little doubts would come in. So, one of the things I would do at night is I would really look at what were the little miracles that happened that day. What went well that day? What were my wins today? And what were those little miracles? It grounds you in the present, and you realize how many amazingly cool things happen every day. Then, the other thing that saved me, was getting up every morning. What I would do is before I get out of bed, I would have a journal and a pen right by my bed, and it is right on my nightstand. I grab it and I pull it out, and I write down at least things or people that I am

Omtimes.com

grateful for. I let myself really feel it, and that gratitude can really shove out the fear. So, those things are the way I frame my day. I know I have control over those things, right? DIRK TERPSTRA: Unbelievable! Yes, that was a clear message. So, when you look back, and you see what your life is about now, what is the single, most important element that caused you to embrace life in a very different way? J.J. VIRGIN: So, I will give you two answers to that. One that blew my mind so much that, again, it is like you look at these things and you realize that we do not grow when things are going perfectly. We grow from these types of situations. It has been rough four and a half years on everybody. When someone has a brain injury, it is not just that person with the brain injury. It is the whole family that has a brain injury. So, Grant has been suicidal several times. It is one of the big side effects of a brain injury, it is depression and anxiety and suicidal ideations. But he has

been doing amazingly better, and we keep pushing forward. I asked him the other day, I said: “Grant, let us go back four and a half years. Would you cross that street again?” He goes, “Yes, because I am better now than before.” So, that is a really key thing. I actually think that everything going on is a miracle. The fact that you and I are able to communicate like this is a crazy miracle, right? A huge miracle is that my son survived what supposedly insurmountable odds were. I was able to publish a New York Times best-seller at the same time, and not go bankrupt and create a lot of other financial problems with other friends. Miracles are every single day, that those amazing things do happen. I think that miracles are all around us, and they are, honestly, everything. What is a miracle? Everything is. DIRK TERPSTRA: Is there any last thing or message that you want to share with our audience? J.J. VIRGIN: Yes, I would love to issue a challenge. Now, my sense is that a lot of this audience may already be doing this. But

what I have seen in taking people through this training now is that starting the day in gratitude. Writing down those three things, and you are physically writing them down in a journal, creates such a shift so quickly. We are literally talking this is a minute, you know. This can shift you in a matter of days. So, that is my challenge. Five days, just do that and [keep track of the] changes. DIRK TERPSTRA: Well, thank you so much, J.J. Virgin, for speaking with me and taking the time. I wish you a lot of beautiful days together, there, with the boys, and I hope at some point that we can connect again. So, thank you so much. Health & Wellness Innovative new approaches to Healing as well as holistic methods for dealing with health issues and personal growth

2 Holistic Ingredients for Perfect Weight by Kathryn Remati

Is There a Way to Achieve the Perfect Weight? The spiritual perspective on weight loss strives for wholeness rather than perfection. It requires a balance between mind/body and spirit. We must consider the first four letters of the word HEALth to be

Omtimes.com

reminded that healing all aspects of our selves is necessary to find our perfect weight. We need to heal with natural food, regular exercise, a mindful presence, and with the spiritual nourishment of self-compassion. Repressed emotions must also be addressed. We must let go of childhood wounds, resentment and anger that are often hidden in the layers of extra weight. Thus, we use this weight to cushion ourselves from past and future emotional pain.

What Can Impact Our Perfect Weight Efforts? We eat until we feel full for all the wrong reasons, often seeking fulfillment through food by eating when we are bored or emotional. Eating for any other reason than the need for nourishment has created a well-worn path of bad habits. Alternatively, if we have an abundant supply of self-fulfillment through self-acceptance, a creative outlet, a purposeful life and spiritual nourishment, then we are already “full” and satisfaction through food becomes less important.

Forgiveness, a feeling of contentment and peace are necessary for us to halt the habit of consuming more food than is necessary. Therefore, the two essential ingredients needed in a recipe for satisfaction are: meditation combined with affirmations. 1) Meditation: When we are peaceful, we are more powerful and effective at self-management. We don’t eat as a reaction to emotional or stressful situations when we are fulfilled by an inner sense of security and calm. Meditation is the path to inner peace, so why not use meditation as an essential instrument in our stress relief and weight loss toolkit. It can be as easy as closing the eyes, taking a few deep breaths to relax your body, followed by a silent watching of the inhale, exhale and pauses of your breathing. Ten minutes in the morning and evening is all it takes to relieve stress and become grounded in the present moment. Meditating in this way also has many benefits for everyday life, including a more mindful approach to consuming food.

Omtimes.com

2) Affirmations: Real change begins in the mind with a thought. Affirmations are positive statements that reprogram the mind by replacing the negative thinking that created the bad health habits. Repeating positive affirmative statements combined with meditation, is also a practical way to apply Eckhart Tolle’s wise words, “Get the inside right and the outside will follow.” Affirmations are easily accepted when at a deeper level of mind. Brainwaves slow down to an alpha level in meditation, so the end of a meditation would be a good time to gently open your eyes, and read the positive statements when your mind is most open to new ideas. Writing them down and keeping them with you all day and next to your bed or as post it notes on the fridge or bathroom mirror also works well to reinforce your desire for change. Fear Vs. Love? The Truth of Our Oneness by Andrea Mathews

Fear and Love at Odds with Each Other For years now we have heard, from many of our most prodigious spiritual leaders, that fear and love cannot occupy the same space, for fear is not love and love casts out fear. Therefore, many of Omtimes.com

have spent those years trying desperately to rid themselves of fear. We think that that act will somehow cleanse them to be the true spiritual beings that they are. I know it will feel like sacrilege, but what if it isn’t true? What if it is not true that we should get rid of our fear in the name of love? What if love is big enough to contain fear?

The Truth of Our Oneness with the Divine We find the origin of that belief in the Bible. It is 1 John 4:18, and it says: “Perfect love casts out fear.” It goes on to say: “…because fear involves punishment and the one who fears is not perfected in love.” If you believe the Bible to be inerrant, then this must be true. If you believe that the Bible is a translation of many translations and therefore, difficult to read as final truth,

then we can look at other possibilities. Those other possibilities include the idea that what is being referred to here is the lack of trust in the truth of our Oneness with the divine. If we truly have that Oneness, then fear of punishment is unnecessary. But that does not mean that fear and love cannot occupy the same space. In fact, it is possible to so love the Self that one fears something that will harm it. And that fear is a healthy fear.

Fear - Instinctive and Motivating It is the fear that one has when one is standing in the middle of the street and there is an 18-wheeler flying right at us. This fear will motivate us to get out of the street. This kind of fear is instinctive and essential to our well-being. There are many kinds of metaphorical 18-wheelers out

Omtimes.com

there of which we need to be afraid to protect ourselves from harm. If we tell ourselves not to have that fear, if we try to make those fears go away, then where is the motivating force that will get us out of the street? Somehow, we have begun to believe that our emotions, such as fear, anger, sorrowanything except bliss-are wrong, that we should not have them. We may ask why we have these emotions if they are not somehow useful to us?

Oneness & Authentic Love for Others In fact, fear can slow us down long enough to look both ways, to really discern what is going on around us. It can prevent us from getting into toxic relationships. Fear can alert us to those times when we are deserting ourselves in the name of having someone or something else. It can put us

Omtimes.com

in touch with deeper roots that want to protect us from harm. In fact, it can put us in touch with our deepest self-love. And it is self-love that puts us in touch with our deeper, more authentic love for others. So, beware of the notion that fear is the enemy. In fact, it is one of our very best friends. Listening to the self we were given, trusting it, is essential to the trust of the divine we all so long to own.

OM Living For those living a more Conscious Lifestyle

Keeping Your Sanity in a Time of Political Unrest by Susan Schueler

Volatile Mix of Political Unrest and Social Media Political unrest seems very prevalent. The old adage about not speaking politics at polite gatherings seems to

Omtimes.com

have gone out the window with our social media today. Regardless if you voted for Trump, think the current travel ban is protecting you from a terrorist attack, believe a wall between Mexico and the U.S. is a complete waste of money, or that Obama had a bigger turn out for his inauguration than Trump; one thing is certain, these are tumultuous times in the United States, and everyone has an opinion! After recently reading some posts on Facebook that caused my hands to shake and sweat, all that encompassed my angry thoughts were “how could someone actually think like that?” My fingers started flying across the keys with angry retorts, but then thankfully, my non ego driven soul took the wheel. It asked me, “ Is this byplay between the two of us really going to allow him to see my side?” (N0.) “Change his opinion?” (No.) “Then why does this bother you so much?” Hmmmm, good question!

Political Unrest - A Projection of Our Reality If one thing is true, it is that what we believe and feel is actually a projection of our reality. So until we decide to change this reality, our opinions are going to stay the same. Therefore, arguing with someone over what each other feels is right or wrong, is truly a moot point. Only we can change our own reality. That being said, how do we move forward with social media today, and not let the opinions of others negatively affect us and our energy? Especially if you are like me and are very sensitive to the feelings of others, as well as the collective consciousness.

Reacting and Responding - Choose Wisely The truth of the matter, however, isn’t really the issue between two people holding different opinions. The problem today deals more with how others (including my

Omtimes.com

guilty self) choose to respond. Here are some suggestions: Put the ego in a “time out” chair. That nasty little ego of ours always likes to feel it’s right. Like the spoiled child from Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, Verruca Salt; it needs attention that minute and will stamp its foot, drawing our attention to its demands in very loud and compelling ways. However, we need to remind ourselves, that these little ego-driven thoughts are not really who we are, but rather the fearful little child within all of us who needs to feel right to further feed itself. Take a breath when this happens and engage with the true self, the soul. This is the place where love, not fear resides and the shift will be tangible. Then picture that person standing before you and wrap them in warm

Omtimes.com

loving light, filled with positive energy. Thoughts have power, so spread positivity, don’t fan the fire of negativity. Do not react! Yes, you read that correctly. Regardless of what is written, do not respond if you feel inclined to do so in a negative way. Do not engage! It truly helps no one, brings down the collective consciousness and usually begins a whole storm of nastiness. Some people may feel they like to “debate,” but in reality it is only their ego’s need to feel superior because they fear someone may be smarter, wealthier, more privileged, etc., than they are. So many of us are so busy reacting, that we miss the real reason why we do this! Take this energy and use it to look within, rather than outside of ourselves. Why do we feel this way? What caused this comment to push our buttons? Utilize these life experiences in a productive

way to help us learn more about ourselves. These moments can be amazing learning opportunities for ourselves if we take advantage of them! Do not add to the political negativity; choose your words wisely! Of course we don’t need to only post photos of puppies and fairies, but use common sense when making posts and choose the words carefully. Sometimes things can get lost in the written word and may sound different than was intended, but other times it is pretty clear things were intentional. Back away from that ego’s need to feel superior and avoid being condescending or mean spirited with the remarks. Just because another thinks differently, does not make them wrong, merely different.

Let Our Oneness Reduce Political Unrest As connected beings we are all

one, and the sooner we begin to understand this, the sooner we will learn to disengage from negativity in social media. Our negative remarks to one another in times of political unrest are double-edged swords that point directly back at us. We are one, let’s start to act like we are.

Your Journey into The Future by Daniel Mitel

What Does the Future Hold? There are a lot of predictions about 2017; rumors that a wave of energy is going to hit our planet and that energy will place many of us in the 5th dimension. Some people are even saying that 2.3 billion

Omtimes.com

people will move to the 5th dimension. Well, let’s talk about it a little bit. First let’s understand how predictions work. It might sound funny, but one thing that is fundamental to remember is that a prediction has nothing to do with the future. It is related to the past. This is because we are living like robots, like mechanical machines and we repeat continuously our thoughts and acts; this makes a future prediction possible. Osho said that if we know the past of somebody, unless this person is a Buddha, a Master, we will be able to predict his or her future because this person is going to repeat his past. The Heart Imagery Masters said the same thing: we are in a dream and we go on and on, repeating our past again and again. It is like a wheel: we repeat all our actions; we can’t have a breakthrough.

A Blank Page on Which to Write Our Story When we are living

unconscious we go on repeating our actions again and again. However, a Master is free of the past and he (or she) is so empty in the present that there is nothing to predict; it is like you see a crystal clear lake; transparent, clean and purified. There is nothing hidden there: just the emptiness and the infinity of the water! After 2012, the official year when we moved into feminine energy we shifted into a completely different reality. Remember Nostradamus and his famous 942 quatrains about the future? Apparently the Spanish Inquisition weren’t too happy with him summoning spirits and ancient texts to look into the future. So, he encrypted his words in multiple languages as well as random order switching within the lines of each quatrain. When Nostradamus was speaking about “after 2012”, his drawings were blank, empty and free. A lot of people thought that meant the end of the world but in fact,

Omtimes.com

Nostradamus was giving us a hint: the future is in our hands.

Go for the New and Different Instead of Repeating We are going to write it on these blank pages. Reality is going to be here, now! This is a clear characteristic of feminine energy: all is flowing, nothing is static, and all is changing. That is the reason so many spiritual teachers were able to see something within the future energies of our planet but they forgot an essential thing: whatever they saw, it is going to change. What some people can see in their meditations it is just a glimpse of the future that we continuously are changing. So the journey beyond tomorrow is now, within the present moment. The same present moment that gives us the opportunity to dive deep into the water of life, or to fly high into the sky of life. Is it dangerous? Yes, it is. But let ask ourselves a question. Would we live

Omtimes.com

all of our life between the past and the future, like a machine or we would rather be “contaminated with the present, living the real moment, like there is no tomorrow and nothing else matters? Can we feel the river of life flowing through our veins? Could we stay here in this moment, in this immense silence, stillness of the Universe? Can we feel it? Good! We shall enjoy and drink the juice of the present, squeeze it totally, because it is not going to come back again. Once gone, it is gone forever. Making Lilith and her Shadow Visible Again by Yael Elohim

Continuing Our Look into Lilith’s Role Lilith, representing everything the ‘role of mother and wife’ does not, fell into shadow as a result of obligation of the feminine to the masculine. The previous OMTimes Magazine article, Lilith, shadowing the feminine dilemma, covered this. Omtimes.com

However, she embodies another shadow part of humanity as well. She stands as a metaphor for the inner constraint of freedom, which has been the result of the patriarchal system and its masculine focus on the form and its tangibility. Lilith’s deeper meaning makes us aware of a deeper layer that would allow us to experience more (inner) freedom.

Inner Wandering of the Feminine During the rise of the patriarchal traditions, one part of the feminine chose to support the masculine approach and its designing style of creation out of obligation, and while doing so, she retreated. The other part, that Lilith represents, felt restrained in her freedom and fled to escape reality. This lead to Lilith’s wandering. Deep down, this created a struggle within the feminine, as the previous article explained. The masculine’s focus on form and tangibility led to something else as well. A person’s own-form, the race or color and the individual identification were placed above the others on a value scale. The outer perception - the outside - disconnected from the inner perception - the inside. Things perceived as tangible and visi-

ble oppressed the non-tangible or non-visible, pushing it into the background, the shadow. It ‘disappeared’ and therefore was forgotten. One wasn’t conscious of it anymore, leading into inner wandering.

Throwing Light onto the Inner Shadow Fallen into shadow, Lilith and her qualities ‘disappeared’, literally and figuratively covered up by both the feminine and the masculine. This suppression enlarged the dark side of Lilith’s fire such as her anger and eagerness for wanting to be free from ties (independence). The reconciliation between both parts of the feminine and the masculine is initiated by bringing Lilith’s qualities out of the shadow, thereby shedding a light on them, and reconnecting them. Only through awareness can we bring these wounded parts into our conscious and start the process of healing. However, Lilith represents more shadow. We can compare her wandering with the ‘inner wandering’ humanity experienced during the earthly experience of duality and disharmony, the periOmtimes.com

od following paradise. Becoming aware (again) of one’s inner shadow parts is an important key in freeing ourselves from restrictions within that reinforce the experience of duality.

Making Lilith Visible Again One can achieve this by accepting all inner shadow - both aspects within oneself, the sunny or fun sides, the dark or lesser sides and conscious and unconscious parts - and by taking responsibility for these aspects. However, this inner shadow does not need taming. It needs recognition, embracement, and rocking; it is to be (present). This process will make us aware of a deeper layer of inner freedom. Lilith’s deeper meaning contributes to this in general. Lilith, therefore, represents an important aspect of realization and contemplation through the renewed inner experience of oneness and wholeness. In other words, one could say that her return is vital for the ‘Return of Paradise on Earth’. Lilith is liberated in oneself, and collectively, by giving her a voice and making her visible. Her voice brings the soft cradling of

feminine empowerment. The next three articles on Lilith will explain the important role she has in re-harmonizing the masculine and feminine. Those feeling connected to Lilith and her energy feed this process additionally and have a pioneering role. With special thanks to them, you and your process work! This is the second in a series of articles for OMTimes focusing on Lilith. Read the first installment at the link above. The next relates to: The heart of the Feminine struggle. About the Author Yael’s essence is Elohim. This essence stands for universal oneness and awareness of essence. It awakens deeper levels of connectedness, with(in) yourself and the universe. Yael enables you to connect with this potential through articles and gatherings. With her essence, she contributes greatly to the process of bringing back purity within the true meaning of light, which is universal and rises above duality. www. ajourneyoflight.uk

Discover Your Intuitive Language By Whitney McNeill

Do You Know Your Primary Intuitive Language? Your primary intuitive language is important to find out so there is a direct line to spirit. Knowing which “phone line to dial is helpful for there to be a clear connection with spirit. Sometimes we think that

Omtimes.com

one way of receiving spirit messages is the only way. But this is not always the case. We are all unique creatures and, therefore, have unique ways of communication with the unseen realm. The primary intuitive languages are: Clairvoyance; Clairaudience; Clairsentience; and Claircognizance. Each individual has a natural inherent ability (sometimes two or more) that seem to stand out from the rest. One ability is not better than the other. Though we may have one or two primary intuitive languages, we can develop the others!

Clairvoyance (Clear-seeing) Clairvoyance is having the ability to see spirit. Clairvoyant individuals are able to see spirit with eyes closed or open. Often times, spirit will communicate through clairvoyance by way of symbols, colors, or lights. A primary example is being able to see flashes or tiny colored lights, typically in a darkened room. These are called spirit lights. This is one of the easiest ways spirits can show themselves.

While meditating, colors and symbols may be seen. Symbols are a way that spirit reveals messages and information in a compact way. When receiving a symbol, just simply keep the mind clear, and ask “What does this mean?” Spirit will answer. Short Quiz: Do you see flashes of light, energy, or the outline of a figure in a darkened room? Have you seen auras? Are there colors while you meditate? After waking up from a dream, does the dream stay with you very vividly? When you imagine your future, do you see a clear picture in your mind?

Clairaudience (Clear-hearing) Clairaudience is having the ability to hear spirit. This can be a tricky ability because the individual can receive a message from spirit through what sounds like their inner reading voice. Then the question is, “How do we know if it is a message from spirit?” One of the ways to discern a clairaudient message is to keep a clear mind. When we receive Omtimes.com

messages from spirit that sound like our inner reading voice, the voice comes in very fast. The message from spirit is faster than the time it would take to produce a question or thought.

emotions through this ability. Those that are empathic are clairsentient. Medical intuitives can use this ability to feel the energy blockages of a client. Short Quiz:

This is because the energy / mind is already composing the question, not the brain. Spirit answers swiftly. A spirit’s voice can also audibly be heard, rather than sounding like the inner reading voice. Short Quiz: Have you heard talking, even while you are alone? When you think of a loved one in spirit, do you remember or hear their voice? Are you an “out loud talker” while thinking or processing information? Are you someone that listens to your inner voice? After you wake up from a dream, do you remember what people said?

Clairsentience (Clear-feeling) Those who are clairsentient are able to feel spirit. Feeling the presence of spirit can result in temperature fluctuations, tingle sensations, or feeling a touch on the skin. Spirit also impresses Omtimes.com

Is the feeling of being watched or protected prevalent? Do you feel you aren’t alone, even though no one else is around? Are the emotions of others felt very strong in your energy? When you remember a Loved One, is there a warm and loved feeling? When making a decision, do you need time to “feel it out?”

Claircognizance (Clear-knowing) Claircognizant individuals just intuitively know something. This is one of the most difficult primary intuitive language abilities to understand. They do not feel, see, or hear the message from Spirit, so they sometimes are unable to understand that the knowing comes from Intuition. An example of claircognizance would be knowing that someone is coming over to visit, and taking action on the knowing.

A claircognizant may even start cleaning up their house as they prepare for this “surprise” guest. While tidying up, they may realize that no one ever called, emailed, or told them they were coming. They just know they will have a visitor at any moment. Often times with claircognizance, the individual starts acting on the knowing, because it is such a strong truth within them. Short Quiz: Do you know things about people even though no one told you? Have you ever acted out of your knowing? Do you jump to the conclusion of a situation because you have a strong knowing of the truth? When you visualize your future, is there a strong knowing where you will be? When you are faced with a decision, does the best option just present itself, without needing to think it through? Tallying the Quiz Results to Determine Your Primary Intuitive Language The more “yes” answers there are in the short quizzes, the more it is of an indication of having the ability. There

are other abilities such as clairalience (clear-smelling) and clairgustance (cleartasting.) These abilities are not often a primary way of receiving messages from spirit. Smelling a spirit’s perfume or the favorite meal they used to make would be an example of clairalience. Tasting the food they made would be an example of clairgustance. After you have more awareness of the primary way you receive information from spirit, bring the awareness into your daily life and routine. Ask your spirit helpers to communicate with you and pay attention to those subtle responses through your primary intuitive language! Negative Habits We Can Discard by Maria Khalife

We All Have Negative Habits We Can Do Without If we want to stay fresh, youthful, and alive in this world, we can forsake some of our negative habits. Many

Omtimes.com

repetitive habits serve to make us feel comfortable, and eventually lull us to sleep. So, not all habits need to be removed, just the ones that will rob us of success and happiness. Here are some examples: Thinking Everyone Else Has More Success Than You. In biographies and autobiographies, enjoy reading about how someone else became successful, but while we might get ideas from this reading, it doesn’t serve us until we implement it. One individual’s story is just as important as any others is. Keep track of our own good and also our own successes. If there is a plan to achieve a dream, respect our own path and our own story. Make working on our things

the habit versus applauding someone else. Work on it daily and with diligence. Make yourself into someone else’s best story of success. Is the Time Right Now? There is no such thing as waiting for that one, perfect moment. So, take this very moment and make it perfect. If there is a habit of waiting, the moment never will come and we will never accomplish what we’re here to do. Each of us has the ability to take any right now moment and make it perfect - perfect to begin, perfect to work, perfect to persevere. Therefore, do not wait for it to be perfect. Turn this negative habit around and make it perfect right now. A Sense of “I Need This Money.” Imagine a lady who had a

Omtimes.com

long series of jobs. None of them was very satisfying to her, but, she had kids to feed, rent to pay, food to buy, etc. It’s no wonder she was easily bored in every one of those jobs. She has a brilliant mind, and her mind needed to find its own dream, her own passion, and fully engage in what that way versus just getting a paycheck. Thus, this suffering and slavery is a negative habit that deserves to be broken. Find your passion. Pour your whole self into it. The money will be there because this kind of work creates the money into infinity and without worry. If we deny our passion, this negative habit keeps us from fulfillment. What’s your passion?

Omtimes.com

The Word “Hate.” Observe yourself and see if you say “I hate this” or “I hate that” throughout your day. Hatred is the opposite of love, and to have a habit of hatred - well, there just aren’t adequate words for how awful these negative habits are. Hatred can also make you very, very ill. Love is the answer. You have a choice.

Temporary Pleasures. Let’s say we’re on a diet. We really want that cookie. We eat it. That was a temporary pleasure. If we had stuck with a diet, we’d eventually enjoy a permanent pleasure a new body. Temporary pleasures usually become habitual and when they do, they block the way of achieving a permanent goal or ambition. We can observe ourselves and

discover if we’re going for temporary or permanent pleasures. For a while, that cookie seems all important. Is it really? Or are we willing to hold out for something better - something more permanent?

Negative People. Some individuals have a good heart. They can be generous and love to help people. But sometimes, these people can drain the very life out, so change these negative habits instead to surrounding ourselves with people who support us as much as we support them. This is not easy, based on a good heart. In the long run, though, if we hold fast to the determination to set them aside, they will figure things out for themselves. This is a facet of tough love,

but love it is. There is the hope that you found little clean-up areas in your self. Freeing ourselves of the negative habits also means that the ways to Be the Change become more apparent in our lives. Are We Safe? Look Inside Psyche for the Answer by Courtney Marchesani

We All Want a Safe Place in Times of Chaos Chaos, vitriol, and heated emotions rule the day, or minute, if we plug into social media. With the highly controversial election season passing, we also find ourselves grappling with our citizenry marching closer toward Civil War.

Omtimes.com

One doesn’t have to look too hard to find evidence of this; Native Americans protect their water and sacred grounds at Standing Rock, the largest women’s rights march occurs on the capitol, and cities like Seattle, Chicago, and New York designate their streets ‘sanctuary cities’ for immigrants. American angst and intolerance are high. Fundamentally we want truth, justice, freedom, and safety. Our belief systems run the gamut, which makes our nation great – the freedom to think and believe the way we want. However, when times are so powerfully uncertain the fabric of reality bends. We fill in the blanks with fear. As this insensitive and toxic climate continues, it leaves many of us feeling hopeless, helpless, and confused. Hence, our senses are flooded. We search for meaning and security in places filled with a vicious discord, which throws us into a collective fight or flight.

Turn Inward with Psyche and Dream the Future In order to have more clarity

and understand what is truly happening around us, we must look within. We must trust our own psyche for guidance and protection. Prior to World War I, Carl Jung had a visionary experience of a coming conflict. In the vision, which he described in his book, Memories, Dreams, and Reflections, he saw rivers of blood covering the land between the North Sea and the Alps. While a vast majority of society was denying war was brewing in Europe, Jung listened to his inner voice. He instinctively knew it was coming. He peered into the true reality through his psyche’s warning. The psyche is a self-regulating system that maintains balance between conscious and unconscious thought. It is also the faculty in our dream life coordinating a sense of balance in our waking life. As a potent healing force, it uses the theater of the mind to cleanse emotionally disturbing content, work out intra-psychic conflicts, and heal through the energy of theta states. Thus, the psyche will never give us something Omtimes.com

we have already healed or mastered in our self-growth. “The psyche will never give us something we have already healed or mastered in our self-growth.” This fundamental property of the psyche assures us it will always warn, guide, and reconcile danger in our environment. It keeps us safe through profound intuition. Although somewhat mysterious in nature, it is an ancient human survival instinct.

How to Prime the Psyche • Set your intention to receive clarity and information through the dream state. • Ask this question, “How may I be in danger?” • Reduce or eliminate all social media for several days. • Provide calming influences to the mind, body, and spirit. • Reduce caffeine intake. Use sleep-inducing essential oils. • Pick natural herbs that aid in restful sleep, such as

Omtimes.com

chamomile (this is also a mild diuretic so take it early in the evening), lavender, passionflower, valerian, and poppy. • Keep a journal documenting the events that happened throughout the day. • Schedule time for mindbody therapies. • Get out and breathe with nature. The key to feeling safe, therefore, is to use these habits to relieve stress periodically throughout the day. This approach frees the psychemind from having to use limited dream states to manage the day-to-day minutia of our lives. Entering sleep less stressed allows the psyche to work on our vital core issues. Opening awareness to the psyche with life-giving energy means providing the body a rest from tension, especially mental tension that gets stored throughout the day.

How Can We Tell When We Have Reached Our Psyche?

We recognize we have achieved contact with our psyche when we reach an intuitive dream state. We become lucid or ‘aware’ inside the dream. Once inside a lucid dream we are within the psyche’s realm which is concrete, metaphorical, and imaginal. Entering this space gives the psyche an opportunity to warn us of events, people, and places that are unsafe. It does this through the vivid depictions of symbols, themes, and ideas accessible through the collective unconscious. Jung wasn’t a magician or prophet, he was an explorer of the boundaries and influences of the psyche. Through his visionary experience he learned what we all need to learn. We may also rely on the psyche now in these distressing times to discern our own ‘truth’. Our psyche is the root and center of consciousness. It is literally the language of the soul which has been lost and buried in modern society. However, for those who

are willing to chance the journey, psyche’s message will provide insight into our deep inner workings which restores faith, and peace in our lives. Once we develop faith in this process, we feel safer knowing this ancient instinct will always protect us and ensure our survival. The biggest choice is whether we listen. Seeking New Boundaries – Is That Your No or Mine? by Kathy Custren

Omtimes.com

So many of us seek to define new boundaries. It seems to happen all the time no matter how we define our world or even our larger cosmic

universe. When we get right down to the words we use in setting various boundaries, it can be very enlightening. One of the first impressions of seeking new boundaries, to me, was in history class. Remember studying the great explorers who sailed on mighty vessels? Names like Magellan, da Gama, Balboa, Drake, and Hudson, are all in the pages of books for pushing the boundaries of ‘known existence.’

Broadening New Boundaries of the Mind Speaking of books, there are plenty of examples written of some fantastical stories that push the boundaries of the mind. Wild imaginings by Lewis Carroll of Alice going down the rabbit hole stick with us to this day. Books and stories of fiction in the skilled

hands of the writer can take us on wonderful journeys beyond our limited experiences and the boundaries of our imagination. And those imaginations happen naturally. Add mindexpanding substances (such as Ayahuasca), drugs (such as LSD), or alcohol and other substances that can be smoked, and our mental boundaries can be bombarded by all sorts of images, energies, and archetypes. If we stay conscious enough to explore them, of course.

New Boundaries in Science and Cosmic Events Today, there is more connection being found in the new boundaries of science and matter. Music and frequency teach us we can push the limits of what

Omtimes.com

we feel or sense we can do. Different tones elicit feelings on a spectrum of experience from discord to healing. With the right intention and regularity, sonic boundaries can also help us feel better physically and emotionally. “You are a child of the universe no less than the trees and the stars; you have a right to be here. And whether or not it is clear to you, no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should.” --Max Ehrmann, Desiderata We look beyond our Earthly dimension with ever-improving technology. We can think more cosmically about the boundaries of not only our world, but our universe. Consider all the phrases we have: “boldly go where no man has gone before” (Star Trek), ‘break the

Omtimes.com

glass ceiling,’ (women’s rights), ‘push the envelope’ (aviation). A favorite place to watch videos on YouTube is Suspicious Observers, where they keep an eye on our Sun and the energies it emits. Presenter, Ben Davidson, interprets various scientific images for viewers and how they might affect our planet. He ends with a regular sign-off: “Eyes open, no fear….”

Personal Boundaries: From No to What We Know Now It is these personal boundaries we can examine next, and what we say when we do not want anyone to cross them: ‘NO.’ We come to an agreement of sorts, where others’ boundaries do not have to be ours. We

put our foot down. On the most intimate level, when we say ‘no,’ we mean it. No matter what the other person may think they know, there is a ‘no’ in the middle of it. Therefore, we ought to have no fear about using the word and defining our boundaries. Even with plenty of definition here, all the laws, agreements, definitions, and frontiers, these are all subject to change. Influences, energies, and imaginations take us all to daring new dimensions of understanding…and what we know. So, we seek new boundaries…all the time and timelessly. Another impulsive word also has the word ‘no’ in it: Now! Might this be the point of

‘no’ return when it comes to limitation--the timeless, mindless, experience ‘now?’ When it comes to seeking new boundaries, it may be all right here, right now; if we go, beyond the ‘no.’ May pioneering courage and mindful change be ours in the year ahead. Empower Girls Break the Cycle of Dependence

The number one reason girls drop out of school in Sub-Saharan Africa is lack of access to feminine hygiene products. The Pads for Schoolgirls Project, an outreach of Humanity Healing International, is changing this paradigm by setting up sewing programs at schools, teaching girls a vocational skill, while producing the reusable pads that help keep them attending classes. The girls pay it forward by making and giving pad kits to other girls in need. To learn more, visit humanityhealing.org
