Innovative new approaches to Healing as well as holistic methods for dealing with health issues and personal growth

The Peaceful Path Through Chronic Pain by Kathryn Remati

Meditation offers a path to inner peace for millions of chronic pain sufferers. Experiencing severe to low levels of pain, for three

Omtimes.com

months or more, is a condition that affects every aspect of life. Chronic pain can cost their overall health, relationships, and jobs.

Stress and chronic pain are intertwined. Pain creates stress and stress adds to the pain. Stress has physical ramifications by producing cortisol, amyloid plaque and inflammatory cytokines. If stress is lessened, the pain cycle can be interrupted. It is for this reason that holistic and natural approaches like meditation and mindfulness are suggested as part of the overall pain management plan. Meditation has been studied in patients with painful fibromyalgia, cancer, hypertension, and psoriasis. It produces a neural chemical

change in the brain that normalizes hormones, blood pressure, airflow and releases endorphins, serotonin and dopamine. Mindfulness for chronic pain has been scientifically studied and reports that pain-related drug use decreased while activity levels and feelings of selfesteem increased. Guided meditation is the easiest option for sufferers to try because the words combined with soothing background music, will move the focus away from the pain to flow towards the peace they long for. The following three powerful practices combine mindfulness and meditation for ultimate stress and pain relief.

Powerful Practices to Relieve Stress and Pain

Omtimes.com

1. Full Body Scan Meditation Mindfulness of the body unlocks hidden emotional and physical tension that can hide in the muscles causing physical pain. Begin by moving our awareness mindfully over every muscle of the body from head to foot, releasing stress and letting go completely. Once the body is in its natural state of relaxation, focus on calming the emotions with positive affirmations such as “I am peaceful”, “I am grateful” “I am safe”. We then begin to feel real peace flow through all the cells of our being. 2. Breath Meditation This is a classic way to instantly change the way we feel by becoming aware of our breath. We take 23,000 breaths a day uninterrupted. Breathing is always there in the background.

Omtimes.com

When we take the time to stop and focus on something that is always happening, for just a few minutes, we become grounded in the present moment. Why is this a good thing? We can’t ruminate over the past or feel anxious about the future when we are fully in the present noticing only our breathing. Stress is immediately lessened. Start by focusing on where we are most in touch with the breath as it enters our body. The nose, chest or belly will be where we feel the breath the most. Thoughts will pop up and we will train ourselves to watch them as they float away without our attachment. Thus, letting go of dramas and finding clarity in the here and the now is a healing exercise for pain sufferers.

3. Loving-Kindness

(Metta) Meditation This is a Buddhist practice that will increase empathy and instill a sense of belonging, purpose and connection to others. It allows us to bestow blessings on to someone we love, a neutral person, a difficult person and finally ourselves. The Buddha said, “No one is more deserving of our love and compassion than ourselves.” Think about it. We can be our own worst critics. This is a great way to shut down that inner negative, judgmental voice, as we learn to be kind, compassionate and patient with the pain and ourselves. Thus, loving ourselves activates the body’s natural healing processes. Meditation and mindfulness are the keys to liberation from suffering. It is, therefore,

possible to experience true peace by implementing a self-care regime that includes some form of meditation on a regular basis. About the Author Kathryn Remati created the popular ‘Tranquil Me’ meditation app to fill a need for peace anywhere, anytime for anyone. Kathryn is a San Francisco based, certified meditation instructor, world traveler, yoga enthusiast, and writer with a BA Psychology and an MA. She brings decades of meditating experience into her classes and workshops. For more information and to retain her services for a guided meditation workshop, go to: http://tranquilspectrum.com. Shifting Our Perception about Addiction by Crystal Presence

Throughout history addiction has been perceived in many ways. Today, we refer to addiction as a habitual use of physical substances, thought processes and behaviors. It is often perceived with the stigma of sickness, weakness and lack of morality.

Perceptions and Labels Sustain the Stigma of Addition

Omtimes.com

People are now understanding that labeling, shaming and humiliating is the last thing someone needs to return to wellness. With all our best intentions, most of us look for ways to escape from stress, anxiety and worry. We want to feel happy, relaxed and relational. We want to be loving fun people who feel good about life. Culture even

goes so far as to promote a “happy hour” as a time for letting go and feeling good. If we think we need a “happy hour” what does it mean about the rest of the hours in the day?

What Conditions Feed into the Pain of Addiction? Addictions stem from desire to fix the uncomfortable conditions in life, thus the expression getting a “fix”. We try to fix ourselves by “using” whatever seems to soothe the following conditions: • • • • • • • • • • • • • • •

Anxiety Disconnected Emotional drama Exhaustion Guilt Isolated and alone Obsessive thinking Rebellion Resentment Self criticism Self rejection Desiring to be successful Yearning fix ourselves Trying to stay in control Worry

Not only do these habits fail to create the experiences we

want, they are at the core of stress and hormonal imbalance in our bodies.

Ways to Shift Our Perception and Our Choices The following is a list of ways we can shift our perception and choices around addiction: Loving ourselves no matter what the evidence. Whenever we make mistakes we can choose to perceive them as “mis-takes” that we can learn from. We can let go of the “shoulds” in our lives and allow ourselves to do the things we feel motivated and inspired to do. Making a decision. Once we decide to free ourselves from addiction, the universe ignites to send us everything we need to make the changes we want. Reconnecting with our source. Discovering that resolution is not about trying to control or fix ourselves. It is about disengaging addictive control and allowing our loving source to guide and support us. Omtimes.com

Releasing fixation in our bodies. Noticing when we are trying to fix ourselves by constricting our breath and bodies. Dancing, walking and expressing in fun and safe ways allows our energy to freely circulate. Embracing and admitting will open the doors to the life we want. Holly Whitaker, creator of Hip Sobriety, says: “Sobriety is not just about quitting alcohol and drugs. It’s about getting after your best life and having everything you ever dreamed of.” Discovering the nature of our essential selves. Wellness, freedom and personal power are natural to us as human beings. Clarity about the difference between unhealthy and healthy shame. Unhealthy shame is the feeling that there is something essentially bad and wrong about us. Healthy shame is the feeling of knowing that the choices we are making are not the most

Omtimes.com

beneficial choices for ourselves and everyone else involved. Understanding there is no perfect solution for everyone. We each have a unique and beautiful path. We can follow it by using our personal guidance system that connects us to our source of greater intelligence. Changing beliefs and perceptions. A common belief not often talked about is: “If I admit and feel the powerlessness I am experiencing, I might discover that I am really powerless. So I better hold onto the any hope that I have so at least I have hope that I can be powerful.” We can, therefore, change this belief by embracing, feeling and vibrating any powerlessness we feel, and allowing ourselves to feel the truth of powerful creators we are. Releasing the assumption that if we are sober we will not have a fun social life. The truth is especially relevant that being sober and present attracts the kind of healthy empowered people we have

always wanted to meet and be friends with. Allowing withdrawal from the addictive control may feel scary and uncomfortable at first. Hang in there! Walk, dance, sing or whatever we need to do to keep our energy moving. Do this in addition and in alignment with our intent. Then watch and experience our personal power come flooding back in! Being willing to say “I don’t know.” As we develop trust in the power of disengaging addictive control, the answers and solutions for which we have been waiting come pouring in. Releasing ourselves from other people’s expectations. Exploring what motivates, inspires and, thus, makes us feel happy and alive. Creating relationships that are aligned with our intent. Giving ourselves the love and support of others who

understand why we are making new choices. Thus, being with people who want to join us in being sober and present. Cultivating positive self talk. “I am making new choices and allowing my love, presence and personal power to manifest on every level of my being”. Cheers, to the power of sobriety and freedom from addiction - one day at a time. Food for Thought & Healing – A Divine Gift by Baba Shuddhaanandaa Brahmachari

The Importance of Food and Watching What We Eat There are always numerous articles about watching what Omtimes.com

we eat and how to stay on our diet during the holiday season. But have we ever considered the amount and kind of food we take in constantly through

our sense receptors? We need to be very careful what food we take in through our eyes, ears, and nose, and what is ingested through what we touch and what touches us. Whatever we take in through all our senses and gather from the external world ultimately flows into our intellect and our mind, where it is finally chewed and processed. We must be very careful what we ingest. These “foods” decide the fate of our lives; it does not matter whether we are a vegetarian or a nonvegetarian, or eat fat, sugar or the latest trend diet.

The Unseen Vibration of the Food We Consume What material food we eat is not the true decider. The true decider is what kind of vibrational “food” we are eating, chewing, interpreting, and translating in our minds. From a vibrational point of view, what is most important is what is continually coming to us through our senses that we accept in our mind as the ultimate truth.

Are we looking at it from a higher perspective or from a lower perspective? Whatever we hear, see, smell or touch comes to our mind with a completely different interpretation compared to other people who might be sitting in the same space. When we participate in any conversation that is negative and frightening, we are fueling the fire of negativity through our ears and eyes and ultimately the energy given through our mind. Likewise, our positive inner conversation can ripple over from our mind to the environment and invariably reach the eyes and ears of those who are in our own frequency level of loving and healing thoughts.

We Can Collectively Change and Heal the World We need to use our thoughts, speech, and smile to heal the world. It is the need of the hour! We have collectively done enough damage through our mindless talks and wrong

Omtimes.com

emotional patterns. Let us heal each other! Therefore, if we can gradually become more alert to the “food” we ingest through our senses, we can create a unique space in the mind. Then, the mind would be very free from unwanted clutter and unwanted situations. We can now confront troubles with more positive vibrations. If there are fewer environments inside of us that attract the negative, then we do not activate the negative inside of us anymore.

Transforming What We Consume into a Divine Gift If our inner environment or climate is beautiful and peaceful then when a very difficult situation comes to us through our eyes or ears, we can look at it with our witnessing self. We can observe it, and become detached from it. Then we don’t become overly judgmental as if we are the ultimate judge who decides

Omtimes.com

what is right or wrong. Our interior world decides what our exterior world will be. If our world inside transforms gradually with daily practice of mindfulness, it will gradually change into a beautiful space. Life will be a celebration! Life will be completely different; something that is purely a Divine Gift, nothing but a Divine Gift to all of us. The Power of Prayer by Sha LéWilante

Does Prayer Make a Difference? We often use the term ‘prayer’ to apply to a desired outcome and many aspects of our daily lives. We pray:

Omtimes.com

...that we get a good result on an exam. ...that there is no traffic for our journey. ...the doctor tells us something positive about our health. ...it doesn’t rain when we forget our umbrella. ...for the victims of the latest natural disaster. ...for our family and friends. You may even pray that someone trips and falls, or worse, drops dead. One look at social media, and we see that there is an abundance of ‘prayer.’ People pray that others go to certain places and do certain things. Not every desired outcome is a nice, acceptable, or even possible thing.

Is There a Best Way to Pray? A personal definition of prayer is that it is an intentional focus on an outcome for a specific situation, person, or thing. Or, an articulation of thought for an outcome, such as forgiveness or gratitude.

There is no one way to pray. We practice prayer in solitude or among many, indoors or out, silently or out loud, hands clasped or not, head bowed or not, kneeling, standing or sitting, eyes opened or closed. The practice is as diverse as is the direction to which or to whom we direct it. For some, a deity or a saint is the focus of their prayer. It could be a master or a statue, a universal divine energy, or all three aspects of a holy trinity. Some chant words to exemplify prayer, although it is not to anyone or anything.

More about the Practice of Prayer We can separate the practice of prayer from the practice of religion, simply because of the practice itself. Prayer is prayer, whatever way you do it. If you focus your attention on a specific desired outcome and ‘pray’ that the outcome is realized, then you have prayed. Whether you are in a Synagogue, a Church, the forest, a field, on a bus, in your car, or a

Omtimes.com

living room. You have prayed. This diversity is reflected, however, in human prejudices about how other people pray and to what or whom they pray. Steeped in ego, people want to believe that they are praying correctly. That they are doing it right. That their God is the right God. And this ego will judge others and deem them as praying wrongly.

Dr. Koenig, Director of Duke’s Centre for Spirituality, Theology and Health, says that a study published in the Southern Medical Journal illustrated that prayer has a remarkable effect on patients with hearing and visual deficiencies. Following prayer sessions, Dr. Koenig also said, “They showed significant improvements based on audio and visual tests.”

Focus on the Common Power of Prayer

Measuring the Desired Outcome - Is It Possible?

If the Jew prays for the ending of starvation, the Catholic prays for souls of the dead, the atheist prays for understanding, the Hindu prays for unity, the Muslim prays for the end of war, the Buddhist prays for equality, or the Spiritualist Medium prays for world peace, they all have one thing in common: Prayer. Separate from their belief system, they share a common understanding and belief that if they focus their attention onto a desired outcome, that they are contributing to realizing that outcome. This is the power of prayer.

There is still some question about the efficacy of prayer and if the outcomes can be measured. This is the same as measuring the effects of distance healing, as it requires the same focus of intent. Some may say that it is a matter of perspective and that the outcome may be subjective.

Omtimes.com

The practice of prayer is powerful, no matter our chosen religion. Would we turn down prayer from the Evangelist as we lay in pain on our deathbed, because we are a Sikh? You may do so. It is widely known that significant

number of people turn down medical treatment from certain races. People refuse to be tended by a nurse if he or she is of a particular ethnicity, and will even shun beneficial prayers if one is not of the same faith or belief.

All the Prayerful Possibilities Right now, this very moment, if we as a collective ‘world being’ chose a common focus, for instance, a resolution to a crisis in any part of the planet, prayerful people would go to their own chosen ‘corners’ and begin their devotional. They would dedicate time to focus on the desired outcome. Whatever way each person decides to do it, this focus of intention is defined as prayer. Meditation can often be prayer; however, its practice is usually to clear the mind of its own thoughts. This clearing is different from intentional prayer. The world may choose to continue to distract itself with the nuances of humanity. We may judge each other for

our chosen beliefs. However, prayer has been proven to help in many ways. It may not always require faith, as even the atheist often prays unknowingly when he wishes someone luck, or a happy birthday. But, it does require hope and the charity to spend the time to do so for the benefit of yourself and others.

OM Living For those living a more Conscious Lifestyle

The Heart of a SelfDetermined Soul by Judi Lynch The Energies of Freethinking and Selfdetermination A spark of courage lives in some people which transcends the known into the uncharted territories of our human existence. In those who explore, experiment, speak out and refuse to accept an

Omtimes.com

association with those who remain stagnant. People who form their own ideas, find ways to act on them and manifest the vision they foresee. They are the freethinking and positive self-determining souls who change the world and assist in our spiritual evolution. Their actions bring about the opening of our metaphysical selves and awaken abilities to bring us into new purpose and understanding for humanity. Without these brave souls, humankind would have done itself in long before now.

What Happens When People Become Selfdetermined? When a country or a group of people strive to become self-determined, they can choose to form a collective of like-minded souls who are progressive and evolutionary or choose the opposite. They are the trailblazers, the voice for those who would dare speak out as a minority (or for the minority) to bring about their liberty from another group they deem unsympathetic to their needs.

Their decisions form the gathering’s flavor and direction for the future. Do they choose to stay with what has always been done, or do they think with insightful hope for changes which will benefit everyone’s life?

The Family Unit and Exploring Soul Desires In a family of people related by blood, the dynamic depends on the attitude of those in charge. In a co-dependent, judgmental environment there is little encouragement to break free. When a person has discovered a talent or interest beyond what is known in the family, the family members have a choice to make. Do they help a child or loved one to grow their dream, or do they discourage the dream’s existence out of fear? These decisions may not seem so important sometimes. But, they can be the catalyst to set someone on a path of incredible discovery. These challenges grow a person’s will and courage to be able to overcome just about anything put in their way.

Omtimes.com

Breaking Away from the Crowd In a group of people who grow together with respect and integrity, it can be hugely successful to break away from a crowd that has grown lazy and unmotivated to change anything for the better. Spiritual, religious and political groups have all experienced the force of self-determination at its best, but also at its worst when the influence is negatively charged. People have been disowned, shunned, put on a watch list, and accused of being disloyal for having had the will to act without the approval of others. Yet, if no one took the chance to say “no, there is a better way to see things, we would still be sitting by fires outside a cave waiting for the sun to rise.

The Examples and Actions of Spiritual Forces We need the self-determined motivators, activators and educators to come forward now more than ever. It is time

Omtimes.com

to stand up and speak up, not just with our words, but with our examples. Show us why we want to live in peace. Show us how to see ourselves as human beings with a spiritual force that lives inside. Help us heal these places of darkness and negative action around us. We can make a difference with a force that strives to determine a better humanity through actions of love, compassion and acceptance for each other. Preserving Your Inner Child: Why Is It Important? by Nicole Boyer

Some people don’t understand the difference between being an adult and preserving your inner child. They think that anything that has to do with childhood has no space in the life of a grown-up. They might even think that people will make fun of them if they do otherwise.

Omtimes.com

But they couldn’t be more wrong. Taking good care of your inner child is something that will bring you so much in return. When you finally do it, you will be upset for not having started doing it before.

What is your inner child? First of all, it is important that you understand what your inner child is. It is a term that comes from the archetypal Jungian notion of the puer aeternus (male) or puella aeterna (female); the part within us that refuses to grow up. It relieves all pleasures and fears that you experienced during childhood. Like a good child, it shows up to speak its mind whenever it seems fit. Most of us are not aware of it, not until someone points out that we are childish in a bad way. Still, we tend to deny it and get angry to who have said that instead of having a thorough examination of our own behavior. But, above all, we never seem to recognize

when the good side of our inner child comes to play.

So why it is important to preserve your inner child? You probably have started to understand why it is so crucial preserving your inner child. There are two sides of this story, and both are related to a healing process. You will learn what you need to improve If you give your inner child some attention, you will start to understand what it has to say to you. It is a part of you trying to shout its way until your mind, and you have been ignoring it. But it knows some things about one side of you that you don’t, so rest assured that you are missing important lessons when you don’t listen and learn from it. You will be able to deal with it better You know what happens when you try to ignore a child. It will

Omtimes.com

start to behavior badly just to get your attention. And as you don’t spend much time with it, you will have no idea how to turn the situation in your favor. However, if you decide to put your inner child in the center of your life sometimes, you will give it a sense of belonging and acceptance. On the other hand, you will be able to learn the best way to transform you frustrated inner child into a happy one. You will heal the wounds of your past You might have suffered during your childhood. It might be from abuse to a small frustration; it doesn’t matter. When we are children, we tend to see things with brighter colors as we don’t understand much of what is going on. So, the pain feels much bigger and deeper. And it last longer because you can’t really address it. You might carry it as a big open wound throughout your adult life, transforming it into

Omtimes.com

psychological and physical illnesses of many types. Getting in touch with your inner child and telling it that everything is OK now, that the danger is long gone, and that there isn’t anything to be scared about might be all that you need to overcome several conditions. Depression, anxiety, high blood pressure, obesity, and many other conditions can be related to not taking good care of your inner child. You will have more fun There are many things that you can receive from preserving your inner child. And one of them is rediscovering how to have fun. And it will not be like taking a hobby because it will help you to improve your career by developing your soft skills. It will be just because you enjoy it, period. Unfortunately, when we grow up, we tend to forget the value of a laugh, a walk in the park, reading a book, or

drawing something on the wall. And we all know how all of it helps children and adults to have a better quality of life. So, you should spend spare some time to play with your inner child, and you will see how it will be good for you.

before. It knows your plans and how you would make them come true. And, above all, it believes that you can do it no matter what.

You will rediscover your passions One of the most common causes of unhappiness is not knowing what we love. It sounds weird to say it, but we all have been there or know someone who is feeling hopeless and with no goals.

Preserving your inner child is part of a journey of selfdiscovery that will improve your life. It can be a long and painful process, have no doubt. There might be tears, but there will also be many laughs. But soon there will be more laughs than tears. You will be happy to have made peace with that long forgotten part of your mind.

It is that state when you wake up and have no idea why you must leave the bed. You might be working on a job that you hate, or dragging a relationship long dead just because you can’t see anything getting better than it. But, inside of you, your inner child holds all the answers that you need. It can help you to bring back to your memory all those things that excited you

Relationships

The interconnectedness among all human beings and, consequently, the relationships among us are the focus of this section. The dynamics of the web of connections we make is one of the most prominent aspects of human existence: how we interlace with each other’s existence in a meaningful way.

The Dark Side of the Holiday Season by Marcia Sirota, MD.

The holidays can be a wonderful time for many people; they’re an opportunity to spend time with loved ones, take some time off school or work, and enjoy the festivities. For some, though, the holiday season can be stressful.

Omtimes.com

Every year, there are always people who don’t look forward to the holiday season. Some have difficult relationships with their family members, while some are feeling lonely and isolated. Others are financially strapped and embarrassed that they can’t afford presents for their extended family.

What Happens on the Dark Side of the Holidays? If you’re upset with your career or frustrated with your financial situation, the holidays bring these feelings into sharp focus. The silver lining is that perhaps, this will motivate you in the new year to resuscitate your moribund career or sort out your finances. If you’re sick of spending another holiday with no money for a vacation or even

for gifts, or if you realize that you’re dreading going back to work after the break, this malaise might be just the incentive you need to make some real changes in these aspects of your life. The holidays can be difficult when you impose a lot of expectations on yourself: you should be happy, have fun; feel close to people. But maybe all these things aren’t possible, right now.

The Holiday Season Can Carry Painful Memories You might be one of those people who find the holidays painful because in the past, that’s when you lost a loved one, or some other sad event occurred. If you want to make the best of this holiday season, you’ll need to accept the reality of what is.

Omtimes.com

If your family isn’t close, this is most evident during the holiday season. Should the season brings up painful memories, you can take advantage of your time away from work or school and use this as an opportunity to grieve your losses. In this way, the holidays can be a good time to let go of some emotional baggage.

Talking with Family Members Can Help If your family isn’t close, this is most evident during the holiday season. You can get depressed, eat and drink too much, or consider whether there’s a way that you can improve things. It might be time to have a serious talk with one or more family members. Or, perhaps, it might be time

Omtimes.com

to distance yourself from the people who are hurtful to you. If you can’t see things improving in your relationship with your family, you might want to start spending your holidays on the beach with your partner or a close friend. There’s nothing like the holiday season to underscore the problems in your personal relationships. You can avoid thinking about your unhappiness with your friends or partner when you’re running around multi-tasking during the rest of the year, but when the holiday season arrives, it’s unmistakable.

It May be Time for Resolutions about Relationships Is one or more friends have been dragging you down? Perhaps your new year’s resolution should be to let

go of them and start looking for some better friends in the months to come. If your romantic relationship has been unhappy for a while, this would be the moment to start thinking about how to fix it, or perhaps, it finally might be time to consider a separation. You can book some couple’s counselling sessions for the new year or alternatively, you could think about calling a lawyer. When everybody is gathering together to celebrate, it’s a lot harder to ignore the disappointments and frustrations you have been experiencing with your relatives, close friends or partner. In this sense, the holidays are a gift to you, They are a golden opportunity to acknowledge and address the problems you

have been avoiding. The holidays can be an absolute delight or a real downer, depending on your situation. Do you have challenges or difficulties that are amplified during the holiday season? You could choose to suffer in silence or overindulge in food and alcohol. Conversely, you could use your unhappiness as the motivation to deal with the issues that the holidays make impossible to ignore. Create Balance and Harmony Using the Law of Polarity by Diane Wing

As we explore Universal Law, it becomes apparent that these laws are present in every aspect of life surfacing on a regular basis. To recognize and apply them is, therefore, an essential part of understanding our interactions with the Universe and to become adept at flowing with its wisdom.

Omtimes.com

What is the Law of Polarity? The Law of Polarity states that: “Everything is Dual; everything has poles; everything has its pair of opposites; like and unlike are the same; opposites are identical in nature, but different in degree; extremes meet. We are a combination of various energies, each present by degree. Some energies, therefore, may dominate our nature and others will surface only on special occasions. We are the essence of the concept of polarity. Polarity differs from duality in that each pole has the essence of the other contained within it. There is a range and degree of each aspect housed within the other, inseparable. Hence, a continuum of polarities exists within us. What we manifest is a combination of these polarities in varying degrees. Nothing exists in a pure state; everything blends to form unique and vibrant combinations.

Physical and Metaphysical Aspects and Energies The physical and metaphysical aspects inherent in the energy that surrounds us is where the polarity begins; the power generated by opposites yet has the essence of each opposite held within it. The duality inherent in nature serves to produce energetic interactions. This is seen in the interaction of positrons and electrons within the atomic structure. Other examples include magnetic fields that display positive and negative polarities, the light of day and the dark of night, the sun and the moon, and also in the human forms of male and female. In each case, both aspects are necessary to create balance and promote harmony in the world. Energy continuously seeks balance. We’ll talk more about this in another article on the Law of Gender.

Duality, Dichotomy, and Potential Combine On the metaphysical side, it is the Yin (moon, female, cold, dark, submission) and Yang (sun, male, heat, light, projective) energies working to balance active with passive. It is the energies of the god and goddess and the forces of conscious and subconscious. Each of us contains all of these aspects, traits, and characteristics within ourselves. Each individual is the duality, the dichotomy, reflecting the potential of the Ultimate Energy Source. We can tap into the Source to bring these aspects together for our highest good or most devastating demise. Additionally, opposites, each bearing their individual essence, allow for creation only when combined with its antithesis. It is about combining rather than separating, once again showing the need for interaction. Nothing is

Omtimes.com

separate; nothing can in and of itself stand alone and effectively produce the desired result. Thus, everything is connected. Some examples of polarity are: Analytical - Creative Within each creative act is a measure of data analysis also taking place, pulling together information about a particular perspective and organizing it in a way that expresses the essence of that information. The system of Tarot is a creative expression of the metaphysical laws that apply to the human condition and its relationship to the Divine. The act of interpreting the artistic renderings of symbols and concepts as they appear on the cards is analytical. At the more analytical end of this polarity, a scientist who is gathering data and designing a system to make sense of the information uses the creative faculty to create a visual or conceptual means of

expressing the results. Physical - Mental An athlete is predominantly physical in the act of performing his expertise, while a strong mental component is essential to perform at the top of his game. Negative selftalk can diminish an athlete’s chances of winning. For those who are performing primarily in a mental/academic capacity, research has shown that daily exercise is important to optimum brain function. Left Brain - Right Brain Some individuals are rightbrain (creative) dominant, some are left-brain (logical) dominant, and some use both hemispheres of the brain equally. When one or the other is dominant, the subordinate hemisphere is still active and contributing to the task at hand, albeit in a less prominent way.

Some Final Thoughts on Polarity The idea that all

potentialities fall on a continuum therefore helps us understand the need to suspend judgment and to work in the realm of blurred meaning where everything contains a bit of dark and light and positive and negative. This idea expands our understanding of how the world works, and that nothing stands on its own. In conclusion, this tolerance for varying views and approaches is necessary to fully embrace the Law of Polarity. Dear Michelle, I feel so helpless and sad this time of year. I’ve considered suicide to reach out to my lost loved one. I cannot help the way I feel. – Lonely in Los Angeles

Dearest, I’m here for you and I know that you are strong enough to endure this sadness. Most suicides are committed out of hopelessness. But if the person that commits suicide just persevered a little longer, their perspective on the situation would evolve. Have you ever noticed that people of greatness have overcome monumental obstacles and hardships? Out of tragedy we all have the potential to uncover life’s biggest blessings. Suicide is a big No, No, in Heaven. God grants us a time to enter and grants us a time to return to our true home…heaven. Who are we to interfere with God’s plan? After all, we volunteered for this Earthly mission. We came into this earthly incarnation to learn lessons, to learn how to love and how to receive love. So we should do our best to make use of this lifetime and be positive in all aspects of our lives. I have found that if you reach out to help others in need, you will Omtimes.com

focus on giving love, their comfort and support – the act of unconditional giving will also help to heal your soul. One of the greatest lessons that I learned from my Near Death Experience, is the TRUE importance of each soul. In my case I was told that I had to go back to my life, I was shown the ramifications of a soul leaving its Earthy Mission to early. The reasons are the same for a suicide. Every Soul is Greatly Important! You see, each soul comes to Earth with an individual contract to fulfill, and other souls that we must interact with. Through the course of a lifetime we come in direct contact with thousands of people. Through our actions both positive and negative we also affect thousands of other people that we never meet. Because the people that we interact with…our deeds good or bad influence them…then they interact with thousands of people. And some souls influence generations of people. We are like pebbles cast into a pond…the ripple effect radiates from us and results in change. Every soul is needed, we each have a purpose: from the guy who shines shoes for a living, the clerk at the

store, activists, pacifists, to world leaders. You my friend are greatly needed here. Dear Michelle, I have a situation, which I’ve been praying about and meditating to hear an answer. Now I’m asking God and his Angels for a sign as to guide me in the direction for my highest good. – Hearing crickets in Kansas

Your angels and Spirit Guides don’t want to scare you so subtle signs, answers during meditation, confirmations and conversations in the dream-time are methods of receiving specific guidance. Continue to call upon your unseen support team, invite them to help and watch for clues as to which direction that you are being guided. Everything is in Divine order.

Dearest, Dearest, Logic and reason are an option to weigh your decisions although I prefer to always rely on my intuitive voice. If I draw a blank there, then I ask for a sign from above. People have different experiences after praying for a confirmation. The signs can be grand or they can be subtle as a fragrance, an unsolicited phone call from a friend with a message, a meaningful song that comes on the radio, a knocking sound when contemplating an option, seeing an animal totem and recognizing the meaning, a book dropping and the page opens to a quote on the topic or just a feeling of being lead to the solution. 5 Steps to Change Anything by Dain Heer

If You Do Not Like Something‌ What energy, space and consciousness can you be to receive everything you’ve been unwilling to receive?

Omtimes.com

…Change It! What could inspire you today that you haven’t even acknowledged? What change could you choose that you’ve never thought possible?

Here are 5 Steps You Can Use to Change Anything 1. Make a Demand As in “Hey, this is going to change and something else is going to show up!” What if all those things you’ve judged that you cannot have are actually possible? Rather than rejecting what is possible and what other people create, what if you could allow it to inspire you? Make the demand - ‘No matter what it takes, no matter what it looks like, I will have it.’ That demand allows the universe to know you mean it and to support you.

Question: What’s it going to take for me to have that? 2. Ask a Question -

Every question you ask opens a completely different possibility and a new potential. By making a demand and then asking a question, ‘What’s it going to take for this to show up differently?’, you open doorways you never saw before. You stick your head in the doorway and there are all sorts of different pathways you can take! Questions: • What’s it going to take for this to show up? • What else is possible? • How does it get any better than this? 3. Wave the Magic Wand Ask to destroy and let go of everything you’ve created or bought that doesn’t allow that to show up as soon as possible. Then run the clearing statement (your magic wand) - Right, wrong, good, bad, POD and POC, all Nine, Shorts, Boys and Beyond. Or

Omtimes.com

just ‘POD and POC all that!’ (You can learn more about the clearing statement and how to use it HERE.) 4. Choose and Act Your choice determines the potentials and possibilities that will occur. In other words, you’ve got the demand, the question, and the letting go of the limitation - and it’s the choice that creates a different possibility for the future. You must choose and act! In this reality, you still have to DO as well. Please don’t limit what can show up for you by refusing to act when it’s necessary. You’ll need to DO something different to create something different. 5. Receive Everything For this to work, you must be willing to receive everything that shows up, with no judgment and no exclusion. Trust the Universe.

Omtimes.com

Please know you do not control when something shows up, or exactly what it looks like, the universe does. The universe is aware of infinite possibilities - possibilities that go way beyond anything you could imagine. With this many options that lead to infinite possibilities, you can change anything! Finding the Power of the Mastermind by Maryjane Osa

Mastermind groups harness the energy of members to support individuals’ goals. The ‘Master Mind’ is well known from Napoleon Hill’s book, Think and Grow Rich. Hill

Omtimes.com

defines it as, “the coordination of knowledge and effort of two or more people, who work toward a definite purpose, in the spirit of harmony.” This principle has also been used by career coaches, entrepreneurs, and committed self-helpers. Consequently, numerous guides, tutorials, and testimonials for mastermind groups are available. They give practical steps to support career and business endeavors. However, exclusive attention to achieving material success obscures the deep truths at the root of Napoleon Hill’s work.

The Spiritual Road to Prosperity An earlier, unacknowledged source of Hill’s ideas and program was Annie Rix Militz, a New Thought writer and teacher. She published Master Mind Magazine from 1911 to 1919. Her course, “Six Lessons on the Power of Right

Thinking to Bring Success,” was presented serially in the magazine. Mrs. Militz wrote that one needs “the right attitude of mind and heart” for “prosperous attainment.” Positive-thinking approaches towards healing the body could also be used to improve the “health of circumstances,” according to Militz. But first of all, she cautioned, we must uncover underlying assumptions about wealth. She identified two errors. Pursuing wealth because of greed and material desires represented one kind of error. Spiritually minded personal also hold another misconception. They implicitly reject worldly riches, believing that comfortable circumstances represented the abandonment of their spiritual path. Mrs. Militz furthermore explained these errors resulted from ignorance of the source of abundance.

Prosperity is the Presence of God Annie Rix Militz taught that good fortune is to be sought within. She also believed prosperity comes through cultivating the proper mental environment. Hence, in spiritual practice, one seeks to maintain a positive expectancy and unwavering faith in the good. Comfortable circumstances would naturally manifest as a by-product of this open (allowing) state of mind and commitment to spiritual truth. Militz found support for this idea in scripture: “Seek first the kingdom of God.” In addition, she explained: “It means a certain indifference to the things [wanted], even a carelessness as to how long they seem in coming, and utter disregard whether they ever come-such is the paradoxical state of mind of one who knows such

Omtimes.com

riches inevitable.” How does one cultivate a mental state of positive expectancy and faith that the good is at hand? In Lesson One, Militz identifies twelve qualities, or “names” of God: 1. Prosperity. 2. Omnipresence. 3. Omnipotence. 4. The Good. 5. Life. 6. Health. 7. Love. 8. Wisdom. 9. Peace. 10. Purity. 11. Faith. 12. Truth. She also proposes daily meditation on the idea of Oneness--that God is All One. Each of the qualities (or names) of God implies all the others.

Mastermind - Inspiration and Confidence Realization of divine Oneness, therefore, creates a joyful mental atmosphere that attracts the good into a person’s life. To cultivate the proper inner state of awareness, Mrs. Militz suggested the following exercise. It focuses inner

attention and uses rational argument to convince the intellect of spiritual truth. Begin an inner dialogue that uses the framework of the twelve names of God. You may say to yourself: “Since God is Prosperity (1) and God is the Good (4), therefore, Prosperity is the Good. Prosperity is, then, of God and will bring me only good. It will not cause pride or lead me into error. True Prosperity brings me into unity, not only with God, the Good but with all those who seek Love (7) and Peace (9). Because God is All One.

Cultivating the Rich Mentality Thus, riches are primarily a state of mind. Realization of abundance is an acknowledgment of the unceasing flow of life. It is not, therefore, a matter of accumulating money or things. The practice of cultivating

mindfulness of inner richness, of feelings of joy and gratitude, also creates a mental atmosphere of abundance. Annie Rix Militz said: “You are not building up this Rich Mentality. It is already there in its fullness and perfection. It is your part to uncover it, to cooperate with it, and to believe in it.” Inevitably, outward circumstances will also evolve to accord with this inner truth.

Books

Author S.M. Bowser breaks through the accepted model of pyramid building theories with the new book Walking The Path – The Eclipse Theory: A Reflection On The Fallen Angels. The book examines a new approach to solving the mystery of why and how the pyramids were built by examining eclipse cycles and the life and death of the ancient Egyptian god Osiris. There is a strong case for the evolution of the fallen angels of the bible which share many similarities to these gods. They may walk among us today as they did in ancient times. The book is dedicated to the author’s best friend, who inspired her to write the book. All profits from the book go to The Merjet Foundation – a Non-Profit 501c3 organization which helps improve lives by making a difference for low-income children and families, advocating justice and improving our environment. Zodiacal light is the sunlight reflected off of tiny particles of cosmic dust that can be seen in the form of hazy light which extends in the shape of a pyramid. This rare optical phenomenon occurs around sunrise and sunset and can be seen during the early spring and late fall. Zodiacal light is also believed to be the basis and inspiration for pyramid construction. The benben is the name given to the cap of a pyramid or the top of an obelisk. This stone is believed to linked to the light which brought the sun god into existence. The benben was said to be the primordial hill which the god Atum stood up after it rose out of the dark waters.”
