OMTimes.com

all of us seek to perfect our own humanity and to achieve lives that honor the soul. A former professional cyclist and lifelong fitness enthusiast, Michelle finds much of the clairvoyant information she receives is about nutrition, health, and fitness. She credits her experience of participating in a competitive sport with her gift for medical intuitiveness that she now shares with clients. She marvels at her unforgettable experiences racing abroad with the Giro Italia with Forno d' Asolo international cycling team, as well as two invitations to the US National Development Team Camp at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

I had my first psychic reading at nine. I am a second generation psychic. I was raised by a mother who was a healer and energy worker and psychic. I grew up, connecting with my inner self, was actually quite normal. And meditation or creating a quiet space was normal, as well. There were spiritual books strewn about our home, and it was okay and safe to talk about human possibility and potential and meditation and the metaphysical.

Shay Parker: I have the honor today of interviewing the incredible Michelle Beltran. She is a psychic medium, a published author. Michelle, I'd like you to tell our readers today, the sort of the other things you're involved with, especially that very exciting new release of your new book, so we're going to talk about that. Michelle Beltran: Thank you so much. It's an honor to be here with you today. Looking back on my life, it really makes sense that I've come to this juncture of the work I do, and the book I've written recently, Take the Leap, What It Really Means To Be A Psychic. And, despite a career in law enforcement, I have which I think many might raise an eyebrow to, as a precursor to this kind of work, it started long ago.

OMTimes.com

And so, I grew up with that influence. In my mid-20s, I just really had this beautiful, explosive, veracious sort of appetite for the metaphysical and began reading all kinds of books. I could get my hands on from James Van Praagh to John Holland, Deepak Chopra, Abraham, Wayne Dyer, you name it. It just went on and on. I didn't expect that I would be where I am now at this juncture with the business and meeting with clients essentially all over the globe. I certainly didn't expect it. I'm in my calling, and, I really, really put it to the test and started pursuing formal education. I received formal education in psychic development, mediumship, remote feeling, one thing led to another and all rooted in just wanting to help others, and really was kind of life, a goal of mine

to just helping people to just live the best life they could. Shay Parker: Obviously, you had a very supportive family, which I think is paramount in this sort of work. I think it's wonderful that you did have such an embracing family, it really helps to make that message stronger. I know that you were in law enforcement. So, did you-- always have metaphysical experiences or psychic hits, or did that develop later in life, or did it come about when you were in law enforcement, or how did that whole thing develop? Michelle Beltran: That's a wonderful question. And it has always been there, yes, but I didn't know it. And so, throughout college, I served a tour in the military and law enforcement work. I was a professional athlete for some years. I was always getting it. I would say, it was a gut sense about things and knowingness about an event or a decision or a person. I just trusted my emotions. I learned from it very quickly that my emotions were a gift, that they were always guiding me right, they were, in a sense, my internal compass system, and I could trust them. And then once I really got into training and realized what it was, an image or an impression I was seeing was actually clairvoyant. And, then it just began to flourish more and more with the formal training.

OMTimes.com

Her life began in Northern California, where she grew up and attended elementary, high school, and college. She earned a bachelor's degree in political science and soon after was encouraged by her father to seek a career as a law enforcement officer. While in the United States Air Force, she traveled throughout the United States and Far East and often found herself thrust into situations requiring her to manage things in an alternatively authoritative and tactful manner. As a probation officer working in different social situations, she learned to deal with human problems in a way which demanded new approaches. She came to realize there is more to the human condition than she formerly assumed. This gave her insight and understanding into the needs of different individuals, their personalities, and problems. She came to know that human beings are not only capable of great change, but they also have an infinite capacity for achievement.

Shay Parker: Now, I want to ask a point of clarity on that just for our readers because I know- a lot of professional mediums are taught to leave their emotion out of reading like when they're doing a reading for someone else. I believe you were saying, for your life, you followed your emotions, but obviously, when you're doing readings for others, that's a separate ballgame. Am I correct in saying that? Michelle Beltran: Yeah, absolutely correct. And so, let's clarify that distinction. When I talk about tuning into my emotions and my sense, I'm tuning into that clairsentience ability. And Clairsentience means clear feeling. We have several “clair” abilities in my book. I refer to them as sensibilities. But, they are all of our senses, sight, smell, taste, sound, touch, in a heightened way. And that's how we can then psychically receive messages and impressions. So, clairsentiently, I would be feeling. By the way, I'm absolutely sure that my physical ability, the time where I spent racing professionally and really coming in tune with my body and just living a healthy lifestyle has absolutely enhanced that ability. It's a body, mind, spirit balance. And so, just a healthy body, in general, helps to open that up. Shay Parker: I know you sort of touched on it, but you are a teacher, as well, and a life coach. Let’s talk about the Courses that you offer.

OMTimes.com

Michelle Beltran: So, I offer beginning psychic development and mediumship development. I also teach controlled remote viewing courses. And the podcasts, some of that--some of the courses are available through the podcasts. Much of it, though, is at my website where a person can enroll in one of the courses for a six to 12-week program, depending on their schedule and their desire and interest. Every student is different. Every student has a different taste and a desire of how they learn. And so, there's no standard protocol. We work together to create the program that works best for them. Some students really prefer a hands on they need to be, in a group environment. Other students like to have space to learn. So, I really tune into that about each different student and how they learn. It's just an individual journey, so we really do pay attention to that. Some students don’t come in necessarily because they're interested in being a life coach or giving psychic readings. They understand that they just want to come in to develop their own internal sense and knowing and connect with their own sort of inner soul self. Many students who do that and more on the level of wanting to live a better life and assist them in their own personal journey as opposed to necessarily providing that for someone else.

Shay Parker: If someone out there is seeking to develop their psychic abilities, should they go to your podcast? Let's talk about your podcast, your weekly podcast.

Michelle Beltran: My podcast, The Intuitive Hour, that I started in February, it's been met with great success, I'm just so thrilled to be able to say it's had wonderful reviews. A lot of that does encompass my book, so if a person wants to just get some brief understanding of how I teach and some foundations for the intuitive development, that's a fantastic start.

Shay Parker: I think that's a great idea because, if someone out there is just sort of dipping their toe in the water and they don't really know where to begin, you offer these free weekly training courses with tips and tools for their toolkit. And then if you couple that with the book, Take the Leap: What It Really Means To

OMTimes.com

Be Psychic, I think that's a great starting point for anybody out there. Michelle Beltran: Absolutely. And just expanding on that, as a start point, the first step, when a person is beginning to develop, it's so very important to create a foundation. To learn about energy and chakras and auras and pendulums and mediumship and what all of this is and how it works and just sit in development circles or spiritual circles for a good year learning and just, soaking in what's out there in the metaphysical world. Becoming psychic is not about being psychic necessarily. Indeed, that's a wonderful sort of windfall of it, but it really is about self-actualization and growing internally. And I'll share with you a story, early on when I started in my psychic development, my teacher said this to me it's not about being psychic. It's about development. And I thought to myself at that time, well, what do you mean? Of course, it's about being psychic? But, she couldn’t have been more right, and it was so true, and looking back, it really is a doorway, a vehicle to connect with your own inner self. My jaw still drops every day when wonderful messages of confirmation and psychic impressions and facts and names come in, and it's beautiful, and it's still a beautiful thing. But, it's not about that. It's about changing your life and that whole self-actualization process.

I would take this moment to just let students know, too, that, the very, very first step in their learning is to set that intention of, yes, I want to do this, right, or put that desire out there. And to add to the podcasts and these wonderful tips and tools and short listens that they have at the Intuitive Hour, I would really encourage people to get out and start using their senses. I like to call this a sensory field trip. Maybe go to a zoo, maybe go to a theme park, maybe go to a farmer's market or a World Market if you have them in your area. The World Market, they're wonderful healthy stores. And so, in any case, it's a sensory sort of overload. So, it's an opportunity to tune into sights and smells and taste and sound and really begin opening those doors. And then, of course, meditation is pretty essential - but, first and foremost, for any student that comes in as a routine of getting onto the program of meditation that I always recommend, as well. Shay Parker: You share the belief that everybody, either can be psychic or is psychic or has psychic abilities or, intuitive abilities, which I certainly do agree that we all have innate intuition. Now, what would you tell the person out there who believes that, I'm natural born psychic, I don't need training, I don't need anything. What would you say to those people out there with regards to training?

OMTimes.com

Michelle Beltran: First of all, when a person is that strong about their internal sense of what they need, they generally aren't going down a good road. Now, can we support that, though? Can that be supported? Sure, it can. They're born with their abilities just blowing right open. But, I also do, in addition to supplement that, without stepping on that person's toes who has that real strong belief, there's always room for growth. There's always room for new education and expansion and considering someone else's view or reading or learning. I really do encourage, even as a practicing psychic that's so thrilled to have so many wonderful successes, I continue to learn and read. I absolutely encourage it no matter who you are. I actually speak to this in my book. We've got a section on the benefits of psychic development and how it can change your life. It's an immense transformation. I guess I would go so far as to say it's truly an ineffable thing, meaning there just are not words for it. And it's more of an internal kind of certainty about who you are and where you're going and your choices, a knowingness about those choices. But, from a positive standpoint of empowerment, not

from an I lacking place or something from the outside filling us up. And so, what this work does is it fills you up from the inside. You don't want to compare yourself to others. You grow because you want to because it feels good. You're not worried about what others think anymore. It's not so much what they think of you because that's a tendency in human nature, to be concerned about what others think. And there's some incredible freedoms with that. It's a sense of ease and peace of mind with anyone. For some reason, this is taking me back to my first reading when I was nine that I actually was used. And the psychic said to me to make three repeatable wishes in my mind, and I did that. And one of them was that I just want to have peace of mind. At nine years old, I'm like, this is what I was thinking. And so, that was what I had even way back then. And she knew, she was a mind reader, and, that's a different element of psychic reading. And she told me back my three wishes. And, I was at that moment convinced forever. So, anyway, so as I speak these words, there's this deep sense of peace of mind and ease, internal ease. It took me back to that memory.

Shay Parker: I just think that's so funny at nine. I was out from climbing trees, and you're trying to maintain inner peace. You're like a little Gandhi, I tell you. Michelle Beltran: Gandiette. Shay Parker: Michelle is on the cover of the magazine, that her website is michellebeltran.com, and you can find all of this information there about her, her podcast, which comes on every single week, her book, which is out everywhere now. Michelle Beltran: Yes, it's available, on Amazon too Shay Parker: And then, of course, your classes and courses are all there, as well. So, those are easy enough. Can you do any of those long distance, or are they only in person?

OMTimes.com

Michelle Beltran: Oh, good question. I do teach over the phone and--telephone and Skype. So, distance is absolutely not an inhibitor. In fact, I have clients, thank goodness, and I'm so blessed all over the globe. I've got clients in Jordan and Hawaii and Canada and Australia, and they come in on the telephone or Skype. So, if in person works for a client, great, but if not, we can do that remote, sure, very easily. Shay Parker: So, that's perfect, very easy to get in touch with Michelle in those ways. And I just want to say, on this interview, because, obviously, Michelle is the cover story here, she has been with my directory, Best American Psychics, for many, many years now. And I have to say that, I touched on this a little bit earlier in the interview, but the reviews and the satisfied clients that come in, just raving about the work that Michelle does and the readings that she gives are truly up there. And I just want to personally commend you on that because, it is a rare privilege to have someone who is so highly thought of in the industry, both by clients and colleagues and teachers and students and pretty much everybody else. So, I want to tip my hat to you on that because you truly do walk the walk and talk the talk.

would like to share with our readers or, any stories that were very meaningful in your career? Michelle Beltran: Obviously, if readers or listeners would like to follow me, they can reach me at my website. I'm kind of at that phase in my career where I really want to connect more with--in person with clients and groups. So, I'll hopefully be doing some traveling in that regard. I've gotten a couple of invitations to actually travel overseas and teach, so I'm looking to that, and I'm very excited about that.

Michelle Beltran: Thank you. Thank you so much. I appreciate that. Shay Parker: Well, do you have any final tips, tricks, anything that you

OMTimes.com

Shay Parker: So, final words to anybody out there who may want to sort of delve a little deeper into the

world of intuition and psychic ability, but yet they're really afraid to do it, what advice would you give to them? Michelle Beltran: I would say that psychic and intuitive development is actually very normal. We can call it intuition. We can call it gut sense. We can call it psychic. It doesn't matter what you call it, it's a normal, innate human ability to tune into our inner self. It's very, very safe, nothing to fear. I will say that, in my learning and development, one of the things that I really made sure that I was very in tune to all along the way is. I never lost sight of, well, that it's normal, first and foremost, but, second, that it was--that this is actually fun. It's not heavy. It's not scary. It's actually a very, very, very fun thing. It's not a draining thing. As an intuitive psychic learning and developing, you're in charge. It's always at your pace and your time. And, if this is something that really interests someone, whether they want to just do it internally for themselves and betterment of their own life or to ultimately coach and guide others, start meditating. Make that a part of your day. It's so very essential, even for just five minutes a day, quieting the mind. We as humans, we have this brain that likes to think, and it gets taken over by incessant thought and mindless chatter. And even if it

OMTimes.com

doesn't feel like it, five minutes a day of just being thoughtless is essential and doing so much more for us than we possibly know. So, make that time. And then from there, generally, a person finds their way. Shay Parker: And like Michelle said, you don't have to broadcast it to the world, but it can be a little corner of your world where you go to find some peace, and you go to find some of you basically. Michelle, it has been a true honor, and I thank you for spending time with us because it's really been a pleasure to speak with you. Innovative new approaches to Healing as well as holistic methods for dealing with health issues and personal growth

Your Body Can Win Every Time by Gina Hardy

We Know, Our Body Can Win... Our body is always in charge, no matter how much mental persuasion we think we have, period. Do you know just how precious this amazing vehicle that carries us around the planet really is? It breathes us Omtimes.com

without effort, regulates our temperature, transforms the food we eat into life giving energy and nutrients. It heals every wound that opens and its bones, muscles, tendons and ligaments are perfectly designed to obey every movement signal we give it. And that is only the beginning. It truly is the most remarkable, beautiful piece of Divine architecture ever. Stress is such an interesting label for a huge number of ailments these days. Its essence is merely to physically indicate where our physical self isn’t happy with the degree of pressure our thoughts are applying.

A Mind in Control, A Little Forgetful I laughed the other day, when I found myself saying to a sweet friend and teacher, Danielle Marchant: ‘Most people are like a mind with legs!’ It was my way of observing that our minds are often way too in control with

little respect or regard for the most precious gift we have; our dear, dear body. Stress is the degree of separation between our mind and body. Question is how large is the degree of separation and what body indicators are telling us something isn’t right? And even more, are we listening?

Do We Really Listen to the Body? We all gets aches, pains, twinges and glitches here and there according to lifestyle, daily activities and indeed ageing. Our physical construct is constantly, without exception, a living breathing changing ‘ball’ of energy so that is normal in the main. But do you experience any physical problems that are persistent? A dull or even acute postural ache, back ache, headaches, anxiety and tightness in the chest, for example? Now, before you go and freak yourself out and run to the doc, don’t!

Omtimes.com

To Help the Body Win, this is What You Can Do: Sit and be still, close your eyes and breathe and visualize your breath entering and leaving your body. That is it; so simple, and yet it can have the ability to change your life. Doing this brings awareness that ‘oh yes, from the neck down, there is a body’ Hallelujah! And also it’s the first step on the path of listening to the profound feedback that it is capable of. Spend some minutes each day being still and then build it up. Find the time.

Be Sure to Stop to Listen You may be surprised by what you learn and you do have all of the answers. But are you afraid to listen, perhaps? Stopping to listen could help you win, put years back in the body/mind relationship bank, and save you from many a fate that ignoring the physical signs can have. From this start

point, meditation may come and a deeper understanding of why your mind causes you so much distress. Gina teaches mindfulness yoga essentially in one-to-ones and on retreat in U.K. and Europe, to help you regain or deepen your connection to your body. Through a process of anatomical discovery, you can learn to let your body lead and find body/mind congruence, so you can lead a meaningful, healthy and happy life.

Discover the Fascinating Power Behind Beliefs by Ariela Sarai

“Beliefs are seeds that will one day flower into realities. --Harry Palmer

Three Skills to Attract a New Reality Many people are aware that their beliefs create their reality. But there is much more

Omtimes.com

to this than simply positive thinking. The ability and power to create new beliefs that actually attract a new reality requires learning three foundational skills: 1) We need to be able to find our hidden beliefs 2) We have to learn how to weed them out 3) We must practice creating new ones that have the power to manifest If we just stick a new belief on top of an opposing one that we already hold, we have just put one foot on the gas while the other foot is on the break. We have created a stand-still rather than a new reality. How do beliefs really work? Let’s break it down:

Beliefs act as filters, through which we see the world

When we hold a belief like “It’s hard to make money doing what I love,” it starts to filter our reality. We will generate evidence to support it, and will tune out other possibilities. One day, I was walking down the beach looking for blue sea glass. My eyes kept jumping to bits of shiny blue objects. There were tons of other shells and rocks around me, but they all formed a grey blur. It dawned on me that this is exactly how a belief works! We are attracting and tuning out possibilities based on our beliefs.

Beliefs generate their own evidence They are like individual selffulfilling prophecies. When we have evidence for something, we assume that it is real. We accept it rather than realize it as evidence generated by the belief we hold. If we

Omtimes.com

believe we can’t create the relationship we want, we use our lack of a partner to “prove” it. But what makes it real is the fact that we are believing it! The belief generates evidence, and the evidence strengthens the belief. It can feel that there is no way out.

How strongly you hold a belief is what gives it power Do you ever wake up energized and excited about the day, and a little while later you could be dreading the exact same day? What is happening? Let’s say we hold a belief “I am grateful for my life.” If we wake up and feel it strongly that means that your conviction is turned up to a nine or ten. Later, we may get an unexpected bill or have a stressful conversation, and we

Omtimes.com

automatically turn that dial down and now that belief is held at a one. The power we give beliefs is usually operating on automatic, but we can also turn this dial up or down deliberately.

We all have conflicting beliefs If every belief is a seed that wants to grow, that means that we all have an internal garden full of plants as well as weeds. This is why we often feel like our mind is opposing us. We decide we want to make a change and we plant empowering beliefs, but then our mind starts showing us all the beliefs that cause us to doubt that decision. These doubts cause us to question ourselves and we end up stalling or stopping our forward movement. Time to weed the garden!

Beliefs form a blueprint Just as the blueprints for a house are used to create the house, beliefs form a blueprint in consciousness that creates our life experiences. If we are trying to create something new, but we have not changed our existing belief blueprint at all, guess what we will create- a variation on the theme! It may be a different person or circumstance, but it will produce the same feelings at the end of the day. If you really want to make lasting changes, be willing to explore your blueprint. Change your internal foundation so you can create what you really want.

We are the gardener and essence Part of training our mind and tuning-in to our soul is doing our belief-work. The first step is to be at a level of awareness

where we recognize that we are not any of our beliefs or stories. From this place, we can decide what we truly want to believe. Much as Harry Palmer says, “YOU are the gardener, the essence of Source.” We can create a habit of planting new seeds and weeding as a daily practice. When we take care of our internal “garden,” we will find that we naturally and rapidly blossom new, wonderful, inspiring realities!

Are You Getting the Signs? by John Holland If you’re like me, then sometimes things happen in our lives that we can’t just explain; things and signs that we sense happen for a reason; synchronicity; even if that reason isn’t apparent right away!

How to Analyze the Signs and Synchronicity in Life? Most of time, we just sail through life, joining the dots and going from A to B and

Omtimes.com

onward, without stopping to think or analyze whether there’s a reason behind some of the things that go on. Have you heard the same phrase or saying from more than one person in a day? But once in a while, things happen that when you group them together. It’s clear that there’s a pattern and you can’t shrug it off as nothing. These random occurrences are a result of synchronicity. It’s when you sit up and say: “Oh my god, what a coincidence!”

When Special Moments and Soulful Memories Align... I liken it to something more powerful than just “that moment” when people were at the right place, saying the right things, at the right time. For example, when you were thinking of that precise thought or glance at your watch and notice it’s 4:08 p.m., and those three digits mean something profound to you. It might be that someone who’s birthday is April 8th who you’ve kept meaning to call and suddenly calls you out of the blue. Or, it could have another meaning to you

altogether. Is that a coincidence, or is it more about the synchronistic communication of your soul? For me, this is a beautiful example of how the phenomenon of synchronicity helps us to think differently. And, a chance to step back and see what you are supposed to be learning from that synchronistic event.

A Newer Term with an Insightful Meaning It’s worth noting that Carl Jung (1875-1961) actually coined the term. He defined synchronicity as meaningful coincidence, and had the effect of breaking through the “rationalistic shell” of the modern, scientific mind. As most of you know, I’ve devoted my life to teaching and encouraging everyone. I’ve had the honor of either teaching or lecturing to become more aware of your soul, as it awakens. The more you’re aware of the power of your soul, the more you’ll see that every synchronistic moment in your life has a meaning. There’s often something to learn in that meaning. It’s an integral part

Omtimes.com

of your spiritual growth as you advance through life. By noticing synchronistic events and experiences and stopping long enough to evaluate the meaning, you become more connected with the soul. You are more aware of the spiritual connections and the wisdom that comes with it.

JOHN’S LESSON Tips on tapping into and working with synchronicities The more you notice and pay attention to meaningful synchronistic events and coincidences, the more they will multiply in your life. Notice when you run into people unexpectedly. Really listen to what’s being said in the conversation and the hidden message that could be there for you. If there’s a certain problem in your life, try to let it go and turn it over to synchronicity. What you’re saying to the Divine Source is: “Okay, show me! Let me be aware and act when the answer or guidance is being presented to me.”

Omtimes.com

I recommend working with a journal and your intuition to document your synchronistic experiences so you become even more conscious when Source is knocking on your door. Believe that it’s possible. A positive attitude enhances the experience, just as a negative one will shut it down.

A Few More Words on Synchronicity Synchronicities and so-called coincidences are clear signs that the Divine Source is knocking on your door. Sometimes it might be a soft tap; or, for those occasions when you’re not paying attention, it could be a loud bang! Source working through synchronicity can manifest in some unique ways. I have my own definition and refer to them as my Divine nudges. Live a Soul-filled life! About the Author John Holland is an artist, author, public speaker, and psychic medium. Gospel of Thomas: The Way to Eternal Life by Arthur Telling

Do You Seek the Way to Eternal Life? The Gospel of Thomas, used by followers of Jesus in the early centuries but rejected by the Church, was lost to the ages until a 1945 discovery of its full text, buried in a jar

Omtimes.com

under the Egyptian sand for 1600 years. Told by Jesus to his disciple, Didymos Judas Thomas, scholars consider this gospel one of Christianity’s great discoveries. Some believe it may be older than any of the four New Testament gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. Composed of a list of 114 sayings of Jesus, some are similar or identical to those in the New Testament. Other Thomas sayings point to a very different message delivered by Jesus than what the Church embraces.

Saying of Jesus in the Gospel of Thomas One of the more curious Thomas phrases is Saying 22. Within this Saying, Jesus tells his disciples to make “the two into one.” Then, more specifically, He says to “make the inner like the outer and the outer like the inner,” and “make the upper like the lower” and “the male and

female into a single one.” This message is neither of salvation through devotion nor of salvation through the story of the Cross, which are at the forefront of the Christian message. It is, rather, a message of awakening the mind, similar to the Eastern philosophies and religions.

Method to Find the Way to Eternal Life The somewhat-lengthy Saying 22 continues with more yet, offering a method for bringing the two into one, and for making the inner like the outer. Jesus instructs the disciples to “make eyes in place of an eye, a hand in place of a hand, a foot in place of a foot, an image in place of an image,” and upon doing so, “you will enter.” The teaching, as I interpret, is to bring together the various elements of the self. The mind constructs an inner version of the outer world, an imagined

Omtimes.com

reality in place of the actual, experienced, physical world.

What Makes this Way Possible? To make eyes in place of an eye recognizes the inner eye (the third eye). The physical eyes are a mere extension of it. Recreate in your mind a hand in place of your physical hand, and a foot in place of your physical foot. In making the inner like the outer and the outer like the inner, your imagination and physical being become one. Next, extend this imaginedself outward. Picture the world that you see as a creation of your mind. Make an image in place of an image, be it walls and a ceiling or the sky and a meadow. Imagine it is your mind constructing the world that you see and experience. It is as though you are awake

Omtimes.com

in a dream, or are seeing a vision. Your every movement will become more exacting and more precise, because you are directing your reality with forethought and exactitude.

In Sustaining the World, We Can Move On Ultimately, over years or lifetimes, your mind will become steadied and focused, and you will, therefore, be sustaining a world. When your body dies, you will not die; finding eternal life having overcome the entrapping physical matter we call the world. This understanding of the Jesus message demands a new interpretation of the New Testament gospels, such as the revered Last Supper of Christ. At Passover feast, Jesus breaks the bread and pours the wine, instructing the disciples that the bread is his body, and the wine his blood. It

is a lesson on present-moment awareness; the bread and wine the body and lifeblood of the greater self; thus, the inner being of Jesus and of his disciples and of you and I.

The Personal Message in the Gospel of Thomas The message is a personal one, the bread their own body, and the wine their own lifeblood. The Passover feast is indeed a further step in the process of making a hand in place of a hand, the breaking of bread and a passing of it among friends a communion within the one mind, in the present moment. In Eastern philosophy, where an awakening of consciousness is the single most important purpose, it is said that a journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step. To make a hand in place of a hand is just such a first step. For devoted

Christians, for atheists, for those of any religious, political, or social persuasion, a method is here now, in every waking moment. Both religious rituals and ordinary deeds required for daily living are rich ground for the practitioner. These seeming-redundant activities are a perfect vehicle for making the journey to eternal life. OM Living For those living a more Conscious Lifestyle

Scheduling Free Time to Free the Mind by David Bennett

Have you ever been working so hard and fast then to only realize you were getting very little done? Of course you have - we all have! We all have moments when we feel so crazed and scattered that our

Omtimes.com

productivity simply vanishes. Its times like these there seems to be no solution.

Have Some Time? Take a Break... Rest and activity are the steps toward progress and always remember balance is key. It may seem counterproductive but in order to be productive we have to balance our outer life with our inner life. We generally have all our work time scheduled; and when we get home we have family, chores, and lists of projects. But what about time for play, rest, and relaxation, do we have time in our calendar for them? Many times rest and relaxation are just an afterthought.” Oh, I’ll take time off when I get caught up.” But we never really get caught up because the projects just keep coming, so the busy cycle continues, and we spiral downward.

How Thoughts Can Add to Problems Our thoughts can work against us, greatly adding to our

problems. Making them bigger rather than working for us and making problems smaller and more manageable. Do good and feel good. Do bad and feel bad. It’s that simple. Our work life depends on our inner satisfaction and peace. When we feel we aren’t getting anywhere our awareness leaves the present moment and attaches to the past or the future and we lose our sense of direction in the present. Try looking through the front windshield and not the rearview mirror.

Free the Mind and Find Balance So, what can we do? We must set aside time to apply self-care to our real needs, what our true nature desires. Then life becomes much lighter. Mentally, we are hungry for nourishing experiences that free the mind to inner peace. Every cell of our body already knows to respond to the ever-changing circumstance with adaptability and creativity to maintain its health and balance.

Omtimes.com

The creative core is a term for the deep well of creativity and creative capacity that is in every human being. Living from your creative core means you respond to every moment from a place of possibility and openness. When we are creatively and emotionally nourished, then our true nature is in balance with our physical self and we can accomplish more.

Too Much of a Good Thing... Take a break from social media whenever you can to focus on the positivity in your real, immediate life. Make sure you are getting enough sleep and set time aside for activities that nourish your Being. Reading a book, meditation, or doing something to stir the creative spark within you; all of these things can be the key to your inner satisfaction. Successful people have found that if they spend time on their selves their professional lives prosper. So don’t forget to

Omtimes.com

schedule vacations and make time in your day to bring peace and contentment to your Being. Focus your conscious mind on things you desire not things you fear. Doing so brings dreams to life. Self-knowledge has nothing to do with our ego or personality; it is about our True Nature and the unique and vital role that only we can contribute to the cosmos. You are only destined to become one person - the person you decide to be. About the Author David Bennett, author of Voyage of Purpose and A Voice as Old as Time, enjoys the retired life of a public speaker, author, teacher, energetic healer, and transformational life coach. Feng Shui & Animal Symbolism by Kartar Diamond

The Interesting Role of Animals in Feng Shui There is frequent reference to the role of both real and mythological animals in Feng Shui theory and folklore. In many books, there is a description of an ideal house, which has a turtle behind it, a phoenix bird in front of it, and a dragon and tiger on either side. These four animals are Omtimes.com

symbolic of land and building formations. For example, to have a turtle behind the house for support or protection is a metaphor for a larger structure or a literal mountain. To have a bird in the front is symbolic for a much smaller land formation. There is a concept that “qi (air currents) move around a property, and the higher land form in back (the turtle) protects the house, while a smaller land form in front (bird) helps the house receive the proper amount of qi (a/k/a ch’i.) Like the edge of a bowl, the Phoenix in front helps shore up or contain energy near the entrance of the house.

The Strategic Placement of Animal Symbols Then, the tiger and dragon on each side of the house represent neighboring houses, buildings, or real hills. These forms act as a way of protecting the house. In a general sense, a house that is not surrounded by other structures or land formations is a bit vulnerable

and overly exposed to the elements. Some people take these references to the animals literally. They will place figurines of these creatures around their home for good luck and protection. At least one Feng Shui master I have studied with has alluded to the possibility that these animals also represent the shapes of certain important constellations. As above, so below.

Extending Good Wishes for Long Life Another popular Feng Shui creature is the fish. Fish symbolize long life in Chinese culture, so paintings and sculptures of them are lucky. In the actual application of Feng Shui, fish in tanks and ponds are just an excuse to help circulate water. It is the water, which is the real remedy. But because Feng Shui comes from a very superstitious culture, the number of fish and the color of the fish in the aquarium have taken on exaggerated significance. As well, different types of birds are supposed to

Omtimes.com

be omens for the occupants if the bird is seen flying by or creating a nest on the roof.

Symbolism for Travel, Power, and Independence The image of a horse can’t help but symbolize travel and movement. One folk remedy is to place a Horse figurine facing the door for occupants who want to sell their home. We consider lions and tigers as powerful, ferocious animals. Representations of them in pictures or sculptures should be done with caution, according to people who adhere to these animal cures. You may see stone lions flanking the entrance or stairs of a large building. However, for a residence these could be inappropriate. One of the Zodiac signs in Chinese astrology is a Tiger. Women who are the sign of the Tiger are considered fiercely independent and may have a more difficult time settling down with a man. February is the month of the Tiger. According to auto insurance

Omtimes.com

statistics, more car accidents occur in the month of February. This would be consistent with the Chinese interpretation that the fast-moving Tiger is also accident-prone.

Noted Cultural Differences about Animals It is interesting to note some of the cultural differences in how we relate to animals. For instance, in Chinese astrology a person born in the Year of the Rat can be a very intelligent person. Metaphysics and spirituality may interest a Snake person easily. In the West, we think of the rat and snake as being sneaky and conniving. In some religions, there is a belief that all human beings have lived at least one incarnation as every type of animal. And, therefore, we have an unconscious understanding of what these animals are capable of in their personalities and strengths. Some birds are more monogamous than people. So there is a notion that putting

up pictures of lovebirds in the bedroom will attract true love. These kinds of things can work as placebos, but are not considered the most sophisticated Feng Shui remedies.

Traditional Animal Symbols for Luck and Happiness Elephants have a reputation in both Chinese and Indian culture for attracting wealth. Images of trunk-up elephants often adorn the homes of people hoping the elephant will be a lucky image for them. There are many more animals that have meaning in Chinese culture and/or specific to Feng Shui. Supposedly, a metal Rooster placed in the proper location can stop someone from committing an adulterous affair. Taken out of context, these animal symbols can seem strange. But, they are really not much stranger than the meanings we attach to some inanimate objects in the Western world. Be it a country’s flag, a car hood ornament, a

designer label, or a religious sign, we place importance on many symbols that go unnoticed or unrecognized by other cultures.

Can Animal Symbols Change the Energy of a Room? I often surprise many people when they find that I do not usually prescribe any of these animal symbols as Feng Shui remedies. While I understand the psychological relief that they may provide, I do not feel that these symbols can change the energetic composition of a room. And with symbols ultimately being very personal, (like our dreams), I don’t see how they would work for everyone in the same manner. Secrets of Sonic Levitation by Jill Mattson

Discover the Mystery of Ancient Levitation Ancient manuscripts describe sound levitating heavy rock, perhaps aiding in the building of huge pyramids and monuments. Ancient texts, all over the globe, describe sound as an effective method to move and alter dense physical matter. According to ancient wisdom, the power of sound increased with large numbers of

Omtimes.com

participants singing or playing musical instruments. Each individual accessed energy that originated from the heavens. Two singers together created more energy than each singing separately, as if their combined voices increased energy logarithmically. Heavenly energy from large choirs constantly sang to make a country potent, almost invincible.

The Precision and Intrigue of Sonic Power Author Bruce Cathie described an eye witness account of many Tibetan monks moving huge boulders with their voices and musical instruments. The exact location of the singers and musicians was crucial for the “anti-gravity sonic effects” to work. Various ancient writings describe directional sounds as a source of mechanical power, as if sound was squirted out of a water pistol: aim was important. Especially relevant is a German article by Swedish engineer, Olaf Alexanderson, which described sonic levitation: ‘We know from the priests of the far east that they were able to lift heavy boulders

up high mountains with the help of groups of various sounds... the knowledge of the various vibrations in the audio range demonstrates to a scientist of physics that a vibrating and condensed sound field can nullify the power of gravitation.”

Recent Observations in Tibet are Astounding In addition, observations only 20 years ago in Tibet from a civil engineer, Henry Kjelson, reported that a Swedish doctor, Dr. Jarl, made a journey to Tibet in 1939 to visit a high lama. This lama let him observe sonic levitation of huge rocks up a cliff of about 250 meters. They accomplished the task by mapping out exactly where singers and musicians stood. They angled their sound to go underneath a huge rock and up it went. Details are in Bruce Cathie’s free book, Acoustic Levitation of Stones.

Sonic Levitation and the Coral Castle In another example, Edward Leedskalnin, a man with humble Omtimes.com

financial resources and a fourth grade education, built a monument to his lost love who canceled their wedding one day before the ceremony. In this area of Homestead, Florida, the coral can be up to 4,000 feet thick. Leedskalnin cut and moved huge blocks of coral himself with only hand tools, yet each section weighed more than 58 tons. He left the castle as proof that he could move large stones without equipment. Leedskalnin claimed he knew how the Egyptians built their pyramids. Hence, he built Coral Castle by reportedly “singing” to large stones to lift them. Leedskalnin placed his hands over a stone to be levitated. He sung a scale until his hands felt a response from the stone. (Each tone, therefore, was sustained to detect a subtle vibratory response.) The sound that produced the strongest vibration was sustained for quite some time to give the rock a powerful dosage and thus the rock levitated.

Leaving It on a High Note...

Omtimes.com

Finally, in a high tech example, high powered sound can suspend and move objects in air. Yoshiki Hashimoto, of Tokyo’s Kaijo Corporation, developed an acoustic levitation machine. The sound vibrates 20,000 times per second to keep a small silicon wafer hovering one millimeter above a surface. Scientists conducted acoustic levitation experiments in space, as the absence of gravity make better conditions to observe just the impact of sound. The wonders of sound… we have not scratched the surface of what this energy source can do - if properly harnessed. The future science of sound and vibrational energy, in conclusion, will “rock” our world! About the Author Jill Mattson, four-time author, composer, and expert in Sound Healing CDs. The Golden Key to Successful Change by Ann Mari Ramsdal

Change is all around us. The world is changing as a whole, as we all are simultaneously changing individually. For us, this relates to work, family, economy, health, success

Omtimes.com

and the like. Change is often wanted, yet it frightens us. Why is that? Because nothing seems more safe and comfortable than in the cocoon - transitioning to a beautiful butterfly is attractive, yet a bit scary.

Take Time to Be Grateful for Successful Change Thankfully, we live in a time where we are both allowed and encouraged to fulfill our needs and achieve our goals. This has led to a constant flow of always wanting better for ourselves. This phenomenon has both its pros and cons. The possibility to create more happiness for ourselves is obviously positive. But at the same

time, we must be careful not to want change just for the change itself. We could always make more money, eat healthier, work out more, and look better. If we get stuck in this never-ending flow, we will never be happy where we are. Our happiness will always linger somewhere in the future. Follow these two steps to make the successful transition from cocoon to butterfly:

1. Don’t change just for the change itself. Prioritize. Ask yourself; what are you the happiest with in your life right now? Put a smiley face next to it, and leave it like this.

Omtimes.com

Applaud yourself for a job well done. Then ask yourself; if you were to change just one thing that would improve your life quality the most, that you really want, what specifically would that be? Keep your focus on this aspect for now. People are easily overwhelmed with too many projects. One step at a time!

2. When you have figured your true desire, think about why you haven’t already gone through with it. This is one of the major reasons why people fail along the road; we feel we will always lose something by

Omtimes.com

changing it. This can relate to our spare time, the comfort of eating junk food, the softness of the couch after a long day’s work, and the compassion from others by staying in the victim role. The truth is, change requires work. It requires energy, as well as consistency. Do not fear change; it is absolutely possible to succeed in changing despite this fear. But if we don’t identify what we are going to lose, and prepare for it, it will most likely happen unconsciously and pull us back towards old, comfortable patterns. So what to do? Think about what you will lose by doing what the change requires. Is it spare

time? Family time? Money? Comfort? There is always something. When you have identified your possible loss, there are two options. Sometimes it is enough to be prepared for it and weigh the loss against the future gain. Other times, it is best to find alternative methods to take care of the aspects we are afraid of losing. For example, if the change will require time usually spent with the family, we can plan a family vacation to make up for it. If we are losing weight and miss the junk food, we can find recipes with healthier snacks to replace it. It all comes down to how much we want it. When we find

something we really desire, and identify and accept what we will have to sacrifice along the way, success is truly ours. We just have to remember to support ourselves in new ways as we go. Good luck! 5 Great

Ways to Maximize Your Time by Maria Khalife

“At the end of the day, let there be no excuses, no explanations, no regrets.” --Steve Maraboli According to Tony Robbins, we have “Time Targets.” These are pockets of time in which we must organize our priorities in order to find fulfillment. However, the way our lives are structured, and the things to which we actually give our

Omtimes.com

attention, can result in less than ideal scenarios in which we feel compelled to respond to the demands of technology, our enormous agendas, or dayto-day tasks that we haven’t streamlined.

We All Have Certain Things We Do Every Day... Many people just don’t have an inclination toward introspection. This is one of the better ways to see what you’re doing, why you’re doing it, and how you can improve on your management habits. Consider the ways you unwittingly sacrifice your time, and then consider how to change your habits through greater awareness:

1. Contemplate your most treasured activities. What do you wish you had more time to do? These are not merely indulgences. These are the aspects of your life to which you must delegate as much time as possible if you want to feel content. To have more time for what you love, delegate more of what you don’t enjoy to someone who

does. At a minimum, find a way to get those less-desirable tasks done more efficiently.

2. Learn to mitigate problems before they become emergencies. When you become slightly uncomfortable about some situation, that is the time to find a way to get comfortable again by figuring out a solution. Keeping a problem small keeps it controllable.

3. Allow time for preparation. Although you may feel most productive when you can organize all of your tasks into lists or calendar displays, consider the time it takes to prepare these things. If you are the type to make lists no human could ever hope to conquer, perhaps you could give yourself permission to spend your time on more fulfilling endeavors. All it would take is prioritization. Put an A (top priority) a B (medium priority) or a C (in front of every item on your huge list. Just do the As. It’s amazing how the Bs begin to take care of themselves Omtimes.com

and the Cs disappear as unimportant.

constantly reinforce your sense of fulfillment.

4. Schedule time for being interrupted.

Each of us has the same 24 hours every day. Give yourself permission to explore the options each hour of your day holds. Effective time management takes thoughtful consideration to boost your daily existence.

No one can work 24/7 without some form of interruption. Some interruptions, such as a short walk, some deep breathing, or getting a fresh drink of water, are beneficial and boost success behaviors.

5. On the other hand, beware the dreaded ‘autopilot.’ Consider a plan of action for your downtime so that you have a flexible array of options that make you feel accomplished or refreshed. Social media, soap operas, tabloid magazines, and compulsive message-checking are sneaky time-sappers. These kill your productivity and your chance at meaningful interactions. If you like to read, choose a work-related topic. If you like to be social, organize a get-together. Consider an alternative to television so that your kids can participate with you. Be creative even with the five minutes you get here and there, so you can Omtimes.com

Are You “Trending Now” or “On Time?” by Kathy Custren

So much of our tech-driven existence these days is aligned with topics that are ‘of the moment,’ or those that are ‘trending now.’ News lists from just about every social corner

Omtimes.com

want to steer your attention to the most popular or trending subjects. --Forget about “that;” that is yesterday’s news. What you want to read is “this.”

Trending Now Can Be a Little Misleading Yet, even the ‘trending now’ bulletins that come to our attention are announcements of something that has already taken place; all the news we read is. If we have the chance to see a ‘viral’ video, it means someone has taken the time to record it, maybe edit it, and upload it to a streaming service. ‘Instant news’ can make us feel like we are there attending or being a part of it, but it is not a live event, in the truest sense of the word. Technology really has us examining not just the terms we use, but also our

timeliness in relation to them. Show of hands from you who are on social media: Have you experienced the embarrassment of sharing a news article (maybe the death of a celebrity), only to find it is either a hoax; or happened a few years before? It is something many of us do, in the attempt to share, we may overlook the accuracy or the real timeliness of whatever we feel is important.

Can Destiny Play a Role by Being On Time? This brings to mind something a little more fateful; those things that feel like they are ‘destined all along;’ like there is an overarching plan taking place behind the scenes. Whether we are likely to chalk it up to some shadowy group of societal puppet masters or to the more cosmic strings

Omtimes.com

of fate, we seem to grasp the possibilities in our lives that hold a spark of fulfilling promise. We recognize this sense of achieving wholeness or completeness in a number of ancient Eastern writings. There are texts attributed to Buddha and others, which speak of personal or societal development reaching an episode of ‘fruition.’ This ultimate sense of purpose feels rather at odds with our pending sense of “now” or those trending essences that want us to focus on being fully present. Compared to the excitement associated with ‘now,’ it feels a little boring.

If We Are Timeless, Can We Still Be On Time? Then again, perhaps it is

Omtimes.com

not at odds at all, when we really consider ourselves as timeless beings. Removing the trappings that we may associate with our ‘now’ and embracing the also-timeless scope of all that exists out of time, we may be able to discern that we are ‘meant to be’ just as we are…that there is a purpose inherent to each and every person, place, thing…and time. Knowing this “why” aspect can be a huge undertaking, and while we are all capable of the attempt, many of us argue that we are not all ready to reach for the fruition of that understanding. The ancient sages knew it as something into which we must grow. We may hear learned people explain the “power of now” or even grasp the urgency of ‘trending’ topics.

Do Not Let Fruition Remain Just Out of Reach Until we participate actively, committing to being present in life with less attachment to the past, we miss achieving fruition. Listening to a recording of a song may help us learn it. We may appreciate the artist who wrote or performed it. But, until we sing that song ourselves, live; put the pen to our own story; and dance the dance in real time, then we remain a “trending now” story, as opposed to living the live our destined experience. And So Goes The Conundrum For those participants in this life experience who do seek to get more out of

life in a truly present state of being, OMTimes Experts Online Learning is here, now, to help us get there.
