Empower Girls Break the Cycle of Dependence
The number one reason girls drop out of school in Sub-Saharan Africa is lack of access to feminine hygiene products. The Pads for Schoolgirls Project, an outreach of Humanity Healing International, is changing this paradigm by setting up sewing programs at schools, teaching girls a vocational skill, while producing the reusable pads that help keep them attending classes. The girls pay it forward by making and giving pad kits to other girls in need. To learn more, visit humanityhealing.org

How to Beat Anxiety and Depression by Brett Jones Depression has become an illness, and something that you must go to the doctor to solve. The Google definition of depression is:
Omtimes.com
A depressive disorder is not a passing blue mood but rather persistent feelings of sadness and worthlessness and a lack of desire to engage in formerly pleasurable activities. A complex mind/body illness, depression can be treated with drugs and/or therapy.
Why Medication Is Not Always the Answer As most who suffer depression know, taking anti depressants doesn’t solve the issue. Rather, it only places a blanket on the problems and numbs out feelings. This observation is from feedback from hundreds of sufferers. Harvard professor, Irving Kirsch, writes of the “The serotonin myth” in a peer reviewed paper taken from many clinical trials, and how it is not serotonin that affects depression at all. Most noteworthy, the truth is every human behavior has a benefit,
even if that benefit seems ridiculous to most people. Depression and anxiety are the result of perfecting a state that we all use, all of the time. Everyone feels down sometime and some feel down a lot of the time. However, as any depression sufferer will testify, it cannot and does not last ALL of the time. All sufferers go in and out of depression. The reason is simple. Depression sufferers have perfected that way of feeling and use it as a place of withdrawing from the world and giving themselves comfort. Once this pattern begins, then it becomes very difficult to withdraw from this method of dealing with issues that arise in life.
Do Sufferers Depend On Their Depression? One of the largest challenges for depression sufferers is the inclination to “defend” their
Omtimes.com
depression. As it meets a lot of needs that others will not or can not meet, they defend that they are “sick. Thus, further keeping themselves trapped in a cycle of despair and anger, which all depression suffers go through. The solution is to awaken to this reality and take control of the situation by recognizing it as a pattern of behavior; something that is actually in their control. Depression seems unsolvable and unmanageable and, therefore, people appear to be stuck with it. You can take control and recognize that whilst you may experience depression, it is not the best way to comfort yourself. Recognizing how beautiful you are and to moving from the internal voice that tells you the opposite, therefore, is the solution. Also, this involves awakening to who you really are. You are a beautiful soul who can think, feel and make a contribution to the world. You have something of value to give, and you are
Omtimes.com
not a victim to it. The way you think and feel controls the physiology of your body. Hence, this interconnection has become mainstream medicine. It therefore is ludicrous that the connection has not been made when it comes to psychology and medical treatment of depression.
A Path to Self-Healing Whilst drugs may have a stabilizing effect, they are not designed to cure. To be free takes self-awareness and mental stability, all of which mindfulness and spiritual practices can give. Therefore, begin your practices with learning to meditate and becoming self-aware. Listen to and observe the internal dialogue you use to speak to yourself. In addition, choose to control your day. Combining this with daily Tai Chi or Qigong practices helps to move the chi energy within your body, which will begin your path to freedom. To move away from dependence on the old way of be-
ing takes time and a good teacher. However, the old paradigm of using drugs to maintain one’s mental state will eventually disappear as awareness grows. The old way of dealing with the challenges of life do not work. As a result, we can find a new path that enables us to become more powerful and contribute to the world. This, in turn, will help many others, by our example of overcoming what seems to be normality for a large percentage of the world today. Exploring the alternative is well worth the effort. Narcissism Versus Spirituality by Andrea Mathews
Much as it sounds like it, this article is not going to be about bashing the narcissists out there. Rather, what it intends to facilitate is an awareness Omtimes.com
of how even narcissism can become an awakening. First, everyone is a narcissist to some degree. We all have a primary concern for self, selfprotection, self-actualization and self-facilitation and more. We all wish to fulfill our desires. So, in the same way that an infant, toddler and preschooler is narcissistic, we are all similarly narcissistic. We want what we want when we want it. Our maturity comes into play when we are able to recognize that it is not always possible for us to have what we want when want it. A person who has a Narcissistic Personality Disorder (NPD), on the other hand, not only never grew out of that early narcissism but has added a whole identity to it. Most of us, have by now seen the list of DSM-V characteristics
of the narcissist. It’s a very popular topic. And so it should be. Prior to the past four or five years this very common issue was barely noticed in books, blogs and media. Many have now begun to recognize that a previous relationship or a parent was an undiagnosed NPD. They begin to pull themselves out of the dysfunctionality of that dynamic. They do it by drawing appropriate boundaries and learning how to self-nurture. Many have also begun to look back over history. We see the NPD or the sociopath in leadership positions around the globe-with disastrous results. Currently, several different mental health professionals diagnose the Republican candidate for President of the United States, long distance, as NPD. And we
Omtimes.com
can also look back at various cult leaders to understand that they also were probably NPD or sociopathic. So it’s hard for us to imagine that we might be able to get something out of narcissism, particularly something spiritual. But we can. First, those impacted by the antics of the NPD can gain exponentially by waking up to the fact that all bargaining is useless. It will not ever get the NPD to see or do something in a way that has one iota to do with anything or anyone other than the NPD. Bargaining is that magical thinking we do. We say, “If I do X, or think X or try X, then he’ll do, think or try Y.” And we try X repeatedly, until we realize we just can’t get past the wall created by the defense
Omtimes.com
mechanisms of the NPD. Once the person realizes there is no changing the NPD, to make them care, it becomes possible then to make major leaps in consciousness. They may begin to understand that the only person that they can help is themselves. They see there is no such thing as changing another human being. The best resource may be to go to their core to survive the pain of releasing this old trance state. This can be a time of enlightened sorrow for the person learning to get out of relationship with an NPD. But it is also true that our own narcissism is part of how we bless the world. The selfinterest that allows us to think about ourselves, to pray for ourselves, to heal ourselves, to
seek the truth about ourselves, is nothing short of profound. We must be very focused and very self-involved in order to grow into a real person. That doesn’t mean that we won’t also have and demonstrate great feelings of compassion for others. But it does mean that that will not really ever happen until we have first begun to have great feelings of compassion for ourselves. This thing of selflove is the foundational energy of compassion for others. When we assume that what we should be doing with our lives is only being there and serving others, we contrive a false spirituality. It has nothing whatsoever to do with becoming real. We must learn first to be present in and
with the self, to honor and love it with depth and real concern. When we are fully open, we can therefore, give that same honor, depth and concern to others. Coming August 2017, by Llewellyn Publishing: “Letting Go of Good: Dispel the Myth of Goodness to Find Your Genuine Self.”

5 Reasons to Shut Up and Listen! by Sunanda Sharma
Shut Up and Listen! For most of us, talking is a gift of gab; but listening is way too farfetched. There are many reasons why we may ‘prefer’ to talk instead of listen. So what are the reasons why listening is more
Omtimes.com
important than talking? Let’s first understand what listening is all about. The Oxford Dictionary gives us this definition: to ‘give one’s attention to sound’ is called listening. If listening was simple, then why would we attend workshops or read books on ‘The Art of Listening,’ or ‘how to enhance your listening skills?’ The fact is 90 percent of people in this world are excellent talkers and only a handful of us are excellent listeners. Believe it or not, it is the five percent rare breed which actually makes it to the top!
Listen to What is Conveyed, and Not Said Isn’t it amazing how many of us just want to talk and not care about what others are saying? It is a bit like an ‘I know it all’ attitude. We just seem to know everything. Yet, we do not always know what the other
person was trying to convey. Even if a fraction of us are listening, we end up in the category of selective listeners. We only listen to the part that makes sense to us, miss important silent clues, and disregard the rest. So what is the importance of listening and why is it attributed as the uppermost success factor of extraordinary performers in life? Let’s look into some of the many reasons why success and listening are wingmen for a super flight. “If we were supposed to talk more than we listen, we would have two tongues and one ear.” --Mark Twain
Reason One: Receiving Another’s Viewpoint When we are talking we are just conveying our point of view. It is like an ego’s fifth-
Omtimes.com
dimensional ride, because our universe is clouded only by our thoughts. But when we are listening we know what we feel about the situation and we are also allowing others to vocalize their thoughts about the universe, per se. So the end result is a rainbow of thoughts, all shining their own light and we have the leverage to open our horizons to many ideas that may never even come to mind.
Reason Two: Overcoming Human Thinking It is human to be thinking that ‘I know what is right in this situation.’ However, this may be far from the truth, because our thinking could be conditioned by a lot of factors. It could be upbringing, the culture, education, community consciousness, peer pressure, family or religious dogmas, etc.
Omtimes.com
So our thoughts are likely to mirror that. What we speak is basically verbalization of these thoughts. So might as well we listen to others. They may add more value and meaning to our side of story; or even better, lead us to see the same things from a different perspective.
Reason Three: Wisdom & Answers to Burning Questions The third analogy is that the speaker may have the answers to our most burning questions. So before we pour our wisdom, it is better to listen to their story. Richard Branson, Founder of Virgin Atlantic, always rates good listening skills as a powerful indicator of success at work and in life. In fact, the best of leaders in the world speak little and listen more.
Reason Four: The Learned Elder Experience At home, if we listen to our elders they have a lot of wisdom to share. Yet youngsters today have a hard time listening to them. A lot of pitfalls can be averted if we listen to their precious advice. They mean good and have a decades of experience and learning to share.
Reason Five: Catching Those Non-Verbal Cues The most important aspect of listening is that one can focus on the nonverbal cues, like body language. As they say, ‘your body does all the talking, words are just a bonus.’ Our eyes express a whole lifetime, hands reflect the subconscious verdict, sitting posture reflects how confident we are about ourselves, so on and so forth. Every subtle movement of our
body brings about an array of personality aspects. So being a listener really pays a bonus. A good listener will listen not only to what is being said, but also to what is left unsaid or only partially said. Being a good listener is like a ‘lie detector.’ Talk about personal or professional life, deceptions and lies are all around. An ability to know whom to trust, or not to trust, can be a game changer in the long run. In conclusion, the pursuit of excellence in communication boils down to listening more and talking less. 5 Yoga Poses to Help with Depression by Rachelle Wilber Yoga Poses That Can Give a New Perspective According to yoga experts, backbends not only open up your heart center, they also help improve your posture, ease your breathing, and reduce internal stress. Yoga does this by letting go of tension in lung and chest area tissues.
Omtimes.com
This sequence of backbends can be just the thing to beat back those blue days. Below are five yoga poses that will help with depression in particular.
Child’s Pose Because this pose stretches your hips and back, it eases stress and fatigue. Arrange yourself so that you’re sitting on your heels with your big toes touching each other and your hands are on your thighs. Put your chest and belly between your knees and place your forehead on the floor. Your arms should be beside your shins with your palms facing up. Take five to ten deep, long breaths.
Downward Facing Dog Strengthens and stretches your body as it focuses your mind and reduces fatigue. Go onto your hands and knees from the Cobra pose. Set your knees directly below your hips. Set your wrists so they are slightly ahead of your shoulders. Spread your fingers and curl your toes.
Exhale, press on your palms, and raise your knees so that your hips are pointing to the ceiling. Your legs should be slightly bent. Keep your legs straight as much you can, but don’t lock your knees. Then position your chest towards your thighs. Your ears should be parallel to your upper arms.
Warrior I Not only does it strengthen your legs and core, it decreases your anxiety and stress. After you get out of downward facing dog, pivot your left heel to the floor so that your toes point to the left. Place your right foot between your hands. Line up your front heel with your back. Inhale, then lift up your arms with your palms facing each other. Exhale and bend your front knee to a 90-degree angle. Rotate your hips in the direction of your right leg. Inhale as you raise your arms a bit higher and arch your back a bit more. Hold for 5 to 10 breaths.
Cobra Provides a boost in mood and

energy as it strengthens your back area. Lie face-down and press your toes and forehead into the floor. Place your palms on the floor on either side of your chest. Make sure that your fingers are pointing forward and your elbows are bent in toward your ribcage. Inhale and lift your chest from the floor. Use your back strength to hold yourself up in this position. Lift your hands off the floor, reaching your heart up. Take a few deep breaths, then place your palms back on the floor and lower your chest.
you can, look upward at the ceiling. Stay in this position for five breaths.

Spiritual Work in Modern Times by Marc Lainhart
To Charge or Not to Charge... Many professional spiritual workers and healers today charge for their services. Whether it is holistic healing, naturopathic medicine, Omtimes.com
chiropractic, acupuncture, psychic or mediumship readings, metaphysical workshops, shamanic retreats, reiki, yoga, bereavement counseling, etc., the debate and questions always come up: “Should I pay for services?” “What do I charge people for offering my services professionally?” “Isn’t healing a gift; therefore, shouldn’t it be free?” Those are but just a few of the many questions spiritual workers and healers deal with as professionals and our modern ties to paper, or what we call “money.” Many spiritual workers and healers are breaking free of modern attitudes, philosophies, and capitalism beliefs and are returning to “old ways” of doing spiritual work and healing; knowing, believing, feeling, visualizing, and manifesting that universe,
spirit, and their own “soul tribe” and community will provide in these modern times and are finding ways to make a living as the only species on earth that “pays” to live here.
Analyzing Time and Money Receiving money for services will continue to be a part of the fabric of life in our society, but separating out the capitalism, greed, and thoughts associated with the “all mighty dollar,” and educating your clients on the importance and value of your time to perform these services as a professional is essential. The most important commodity for anyone and everyone is time, not money. Money is what allows spiritual workers and healers to learn, mentor, and practice their skills. It pays bills, puts food on the table and lets workers be available to serve
Omtimes.com
others in a professional manner. Gone are those days of offering your services to your tribe where the tribe would provide shelter, food, protection and survival through a natural exchange of community for “free. The modern world has evolved as we have all gone out as pioneers and prospectors with choice, free-will, and personal responsibility to make it on our own! As we move forward with this choice of being alone in this fast paced, chaotic, disconnected, and distracted society, the money, greed, and capitalism have followed, and many services that where once offered for free with the intent of helping others now has a price tag attached to it. This is the modern world and why spiritual workers and healers charge for their services, but
Omtimes.com
society is changing, people are changing, the world is changing, and many people around the globe now seek truth, freedom, peace, simplicity, community, while working together for the greater good, taking care of others, our planet, and not so much emphasis on paper money.
The Important Role of Spiritual Work This trending shift of higher consciousness and human spiritual evolution continues to take root and grow deeper by the day. As it grows stronger by the year, the important role of spiritual work will be needed. There will be plenty of work and paying customers to go around! Novice and journeyman spiritual workers soon discover an added dimension to this reality. It is not about the money, fame, book deals, or shows,
as modern times and society would have us believe. Yet, spiritual work is so much more. Things in the modern world all cost money, from gas, food, clothes, to even water! What are your talents, skills, and time worth in your intent to serve, help, assist, heal and inspire others? Are you honoring and respecting your gifts, talents, and investment to learn, so that you can serve others better? So, with what you charge or don’t charge, are you respecting your chosen field and those who may seek you out? If you do this work for free, will others take advantage of you? Will you be okay with that? Knowing the history of performing spiritual work and healing as a professional will help you. It helps in these modern times to
have a personal value system for when and when not to charge. Hence, it’s all about what’s right for you. “The more you know about the past, the better prepared you are for the future.” --Theodore Roosevelt About the Author Marc Lainhart is an international and tested Spiritual Medium. Meditate on the Chariot for Harmony in Your Life by Diane Wing, M.A.
Each card in a tarot deck represents an aspect of the Self. It is a book of metaphysics that helps guide us through life. The symbolism of the cards shows us ways of being Omtimes.com
that are easily recognizable once the code is cracked. It requires learning the language of the tarot and understanding its symbolism. This brings insight to read the deeper essence of the card and to apply it then to the self. The Chariot is such a card, where it calls us to develop control over our thoughts and emotions. By holding reign over the internal world of our thoughts that cause emotional distress or elation and to our external reactions toward experiences with others and the world, we acquire the ability to control reality. Thus, it represents Inner Control - Law of Polarity - Perception Shifts Reality - Moving in Harmony. In most decks, The Chariot card depicts a charioteer steering a chariot pulled by two beasts of some sort - sphinx, horses, or lions. The energy intended
by the author and artist of the deck is reflected in the type of beast used. It’s also determined by whether or not the beasts are made of an element such as water or fire. If water, it pulls on the emotional nature of the experience; if fire, its essence is in the passion and/or motivation one puts forth in a situation. The more ethereal the image, the greater the focus is on the shifting nature of reality. Generally, each beast is of opposite color, such as black and white, or contains both black and white in its image. This represents the Law of Polarity. This is where positive is mixed with negative, good is mixed with bad, and nothing is purely one or the other, as with the Yin Yang symbol, each contains its opposite. The two beasts, then, represent thought and emotion and the need to control both in or-
Omtimes.com
der to push forward. Without this control, we stay locked in place, stuck, and lacking focus. By way of controlling these aspects of the self, we are capable of steering our chariot toward anything we set our sights on. Depending on which path we take - control or lack thereof - our perception of the world and our perceived control can take us forward or hold us back. The beasts may also constitute the earthly and the spiritual, which present our need to incorporate the spiritual into everyday tasks and interactions. This blending of the two allows for a deeper experience and a more peaceful and gentle approach to ourselves and the world. The separation of the two creates disharmony in our lives. Just as two horses need to
Omtimes.com
synchronize their running to move the chariot along smoothly and quickly, so too it is necessary to find ways of combining and seeing the relationships between the facets of ourselves and how they impact our lives. Perceptions, actions, feelings, and thoughts all have a direct impact on the outer world. The inner creates the outer. These two aspects need to be in alignment and harmony with one another to achieve what you envision. Reality is what we perceive it to be. By taking stock of the way we choose to approach thoughts and emotions, we shape the way we live, for better or worse. Additionally, the Law of Polarity comes into play. The goal we set for ourselves is blended, containing both ideal and difficult aspects. If we look for
a perfect solution or situation or way of being, it eludes us as a function of the Law of Polarity. The mix is a matter of degree, choosing the goal with the most benefit and the least disadvantage. We are the charioteers of our own lives, driving ourselves toward a goal or a way of being. With effort, we are capable of grasping fleeting thoughts that can lower our self-esteem or enhance our self-confidence. Hence, we can align what we are with what we wish to manifest. We can bring seemingly disparate parts of ourselves together to create harmony in our lives. In conclusion, recognize how all the facets of the self combine, and their relationship to what is currently occurring. If the
result fails to coincide with the vision, shift the goal. Change the way you perceive it, or the thoughts contributing to the lack you experience. Meditate on The Chariot when there is a need to realign the disparate parts of the self. Seek to move forward effectively and harmoniously.

Taking Control – Practicing Soul Mastery by Judi Lynch
You are the creator and cocreator of your life. With help from the heavens of the spiritual consciousness, we therefore have the wisdom. This includes tools and high frequency connections we
Omtimes.com
need to manifest anything we desire. This may seem like a mighty huge statement, considering all the challenges and uncertainty in the world we live in. Those who are seeking higher spiritual ground know how much truth exists in those words. Because the mind controls every thought, every thought controls all the cells in our body. How we communicate with ourselves and others matters deeply. It determines how we thrive or wither during our lives here on this planet. The soul will still live on after these human bodies have expired. Learning to master the negative thoughts and actions during our lives has great benefit to our beautiful souls and the purpose behind
our incarnations. When your spiritual practices become a part of your everyday life and they are unique to your ever-evolving needs and challenges, you are aligning your soul to thrive in this lifetime. As we quiet the ego of things which keep us from our goals, we learn that letting go of the need to control anything actually puts us in control. Replacing old thought patterns and beliefs is one of the first steps to taking control. Having a positive self-image through positive actions brings in maturity. Affirmations, prayer, meditation, service to others, volunteering your time and energy to a noble cause along with taking good care of your health are all
Omtimes.com
things which will help you take control of your life situations. In today’s world, we have a crystal clear view of what negative behavior attracts. Name-calling, bullying, blaming, shaming, insecurity, jealousy, and finger-pointing, to name of few, can incite riotous, violent acts. These are happening for a reason; we can see out loud what part of humanity has done to itself. If we know what we think and do matter, then we know we can evolve and progress. Violence has never been the answer. Hurting other humans, animals, the environment or ourselves only stunts our spiritual growth to higher evolution. As we reject these negative behaviors and people who have yet to evolve from their grasp, we become lighter. In this lightness is
Omtimes.com
growth, unconditional love, life purpose and a greater sense of our role in healing humanity together in collective knowledge. When we gain control of our thoughts our missions and our soul has room to grow. Forgiving what we perceive we and others have done, and courageously releasing pain and regret, creates space for the future. A willingness to keep moving forward instead of living in the past is a common trait in people who evolve quicker and heal faster than others. Learning how to process and control our own negative behaviors and thought processes is the key to unconditional understanding of others unexposed to kindness and compassion. We make choices to be either unaffected by the suffering of others with our unwillingness
to help, or we can offer a kind word or deed to anyone in need of assistance. We can choose which energies will rule our thoughts. Protecting our own personal environments is important to keeping in good spirits with a positive outlook on life. In addition, we have spiritual help in our guides, loved ones and a host of spiritual beings. They want nothing more than for us to connect, heal and shine with purpose. Those connections can work miracles in your heart and mind to overcome the dull grayness set in by letting in negativity of any kind. In conclusion, living in the higher vibrational energies will become the norm. Future mankind will experience the fruits of our spiritual labors now. We have already seen the seeds beginning to sprout and
bloom in hearts, minds and neighborhoods where once there was no hope and little faith. One by one, as we take control over our mind’s creative forces with our spiritual gifts and metaphysical knowledge, we set an example of what the New Earth truly means. Dear Whitedove, Dear Michelle, I love my fur babies, and so I have a really hard time with animal cruelty. I don’t understand how a person can look in their eyes and not see their soul. Where do people get off thinking that they are so much better? Personally, I think animals are much kinder than humans. Horse Lover in the Hamptons Dear horse lover, Because of our underdeveloped brain, many people assume that humans are superior to animals. This is just not true; God views our souls as equal. You see, humans could not exist on the planet without them. In fact, the animal kingdom sustains us on many levels. They play a vital role maintaining the balance of our very important ecosystem of the planet earth. Science has not recognized this fact but with psychic insights I know that through their vibrational communications of roars, trumpets, purrs, breys, neighs, cries, croaks, coos, moos, bleats, tweets, etcetera; animals reverberate a song of harmony that is much needed. They are still used to work and be of service: for transportation, to pull carts, carry heavy loads and plow. Dogs and horses can also perform Omtimes.com
rescues and assist people with disabilities. Of course, animals feed the world, and they clothe us too. Animals are so important that when even a small species goes extinct, this changes the balance of the whole ecosystem and can have long-term effects in nature. The animal kingdom, they are our brothers and sisters. They love us so much that eons ago, animals made an agreement with humankind, they promised God to help sustain this realm. For that very reason, animal cruelty must stop. We must teach our peers and our children to love them equally in return.

Dear Whitedove, I’ve recently been introduced to the concept of reincarnation. Coming from a traditional religion this was never discussed as a possibility, but when an intuitive friend said that I had a past life in Egypt, it felt true to my spirit. I’ve always had a fascination with that ancient culture. My question to you is: why would we return to Earth for another go around: it’s not much fun here! Just visiting from Vancouver Dear One, I hear you, life is not always fun, but the Universal Law of Reincarnation tells us: Reincarnation is the contract we made in the spirit realm. We promise God to learn spiritual lessons through physical experiences. The planet Earth is only one place where we can choose to incarnate. Reincarnation is the soul’s journey, lifetime after lifetime of polishing and refining our spirit to perfection. tears down whereas constructive conversations can fortify a group.

Cultivate a Success Mindset by Maria Khalife
“Whatever you want in life, other people are going to want it too. Believe in yourself enough to accept the idea that you have an equal right to it. --Diane Sawyer Do you welcome success in your life? A healthy, positive, optimistic mindset does more than just boost your mood. A truly positive and selfaffirming perspective allows success to be felt more fully.
Omtimes.com
There are many ways check your mindset to welcome and embrace a success-positive attitude: Mindfulness. Connecting with the moment, aligning your thoughts with positive energy, and not allowing others to discourage you from how you want to feel and what you want to pursue. Furthermore, allow yourself to believe in the idea that everything you need is available to you. Establish your intent. What do you want your actions and behavior to bring you? You’ll experience more success if you take a moment before you do things to conceptualize the good that each action can bring. Expect it to happen. Expectation is a wonderful tool when you want to enjoy accomplishment and success. It’s another name for hope, and it helps you bring your desires into full manifestation. Since what you think is what you get, having low expectations or high
expectations is all up to you. Gratitude without guilt. You receive the things you want and need in life because you want and need them. Take action to receive these gifts. You deserve success as much as anyone else. Your acceptance of what you want and need does not rob anyone else of what they want and need. There is plenty for all. Remember that emotions are guides. If you feel good, you’re doing well. If you feel a negative emotion, you might need to reassess the direction you are going. Rather than the same, maybe it’s time to choose a different path? Visualize what you want. What does it look like, and how do you want to feel when you receive it? Live with hope that your dreams are within reach, and that you are capable of manifesting them. Act with the belief that the world is a generous place. Identify ways to serve others. A generous spirit helps to

feed a sense of abundance. A key element of being in service is that you don’t expect to receive anything in return. Being of service is a practical form of loving others just for the sake of the loving. Being of service out of a true sense of gratitude for the good in your life.
are, therefore, transformative. Developing a talent for tackling every challenge with courage and optimism is in the repertoire of many successful people. The best part, in conclusion, is that you are the only person who can decide what success should look like in your life.
Set goals. Break them down into small pieces. Another key is to set times for their accomplishment. Henry Thoreau said “What you get by achieving your goals is not as important as what you become by achieving your goals.”
“If you want to conquer the anxiety of life, live in the moment, live in the breath.” --Amit Ray
Use Positive Affirmations. Your self-talk is very powerful. Whether it is positive or negative, you are continually re-impressing your mind. High self-esteem will get you to success more quickly, so use positive affirmations to boost your self-esteem. These powerful ways of mindset, in viewing the world and approaching your daily life

Present Pain Does Not Limit Future Joy by Arien Smith
We Have a Focus on Future Joy Sometimes we have days, weeks, or even years where it feels like life just isn’t working out. We’ve all been there, struggling; trying to piece together what seems
Omtimes.com
like broken and mismatched pieces, and feeling hopeless every second of the way. How do we expect to feel calm when life has fallen apart around us? Is it even possible?
means is that we cannot save up this week. Next week may be different, or perhaps next year. Although we may not be able to predict the positive shift, it will come.
There are ways we can journey into this peace. The first, and most powerful way, is to let go of the belief that what is happening right now will dictate our entire future.
Hearing this message, especially in times of strife, may not make a huge impact until we remember to do this: Think back to a time where things were just a stressful as they are now, but far enough in the past that the situation is no longer existing, and reflect on how similar that felt to the present state. Now recall how life mysteriously turned around and that situation was resolved. We made it to a more joyous place, right?
The Reality and Reach of Our Present Pain Certainly, the current moment can impact and change our future course, but the present pain and stress we are experiencing right now is not permanent. It does not mean we will be stressed forever, or stuck in this particular situation for ever. For instance, perhaps less money came in this week and this is concerning. We might feel as though we’ll never save up enough to live comfortably. But, in truth, all the situation
Realizing Future Joy Despite the Present Pain Joy is possible! Certainly it may call on our last reserves of resilience in the moment, but we have always triumphed in our past. This situation of present pain is no different.
Omtimes.com
To free ourselves from some of this present pain, we need to remember that this current situation is impermanent. It will pass and we can once again acquaint ourselves with our limitless future, one filled with infinite possibilities for future joy. We cannot experience joy when we think the future will only carry more hurt, so by believing that our present stressor will never get better-we are cutting joy out of our lives. Right now, things may not be as we wish, but our power to shape the future will reawaken once we recognize that the future can change.
Stake Your Claim for Future Joy Our current stressor is not eternal and it does not solidify our future into one single painful path. The only thing that lasts forever is our strength to change where we are going and journey inwards towards our love, joy, and peace. Through this, our future opens up as the

ever-expansive creation it is. We are resilient and adaptable beings, very capable of finding our saving grace along the way. When we’re feeling overwhelmed, let’s all remind ourselves that our current stress doesn’t mean we’ll be stressed forever. It just means we’re stressed right now, and that’s okay. Let’s take those forward steps when we can, and we’ll constantly be moving towards a new and limitless future. About the Author Arien Smith is a life coach who guides others towards finding joy, no matter what they have experienced. After surviving serious trauma, he was able to find this in his own life and wishes to teach others the ability they have to find their own bliss. teachers (have the potential to cause pain). We must realize that it isn’t them causing it, not really; it just appears like that. It’s 100 percent us; our thoughts and beliefs reacting to feelings. When we are triggered by negative emotions it really all boil down to one emotion... fear. In the experience of fear, we spin a story and accept it as reality. Is it? No, but as long as we accept it as true, the universe strives to validate it.
How Our Story Can Add to Pain and Suffering What can we do? We continue to do our inner work, remembering that thoughts and beliefs create a story line, and that emotion fuels it. Remember that we are wearing the costume of human, but that we are not. We are divinity having a human experience in this
earthly play we write and star in. So if we don’t like it, if we are in fear and causing ourselves pain and suffering... then it’s time for us to rewrite the story. We can acknowledge the thoughts, beliefs and feelings we are holding and change our position from victim to empowered self. Empowered self is aware of the truth. It is only a story we are choosing to create and at its end we will bow and leave the stage and return to full divinity. The question is what story do you want to tell while we are starring as human? Do we continue to choose fear and cause pain and suffering? Can we adjust our position and live from love just as easily? What story are you telling? Here are some action steps to change it:
Omtimes.com
Inquiry. How sure am I that this is true? Can I support it through facts or is it only my perception? If I changed my position from absolutely sure to a more objective viewpoint, how would I feel? If I let go and released this belief how would I be freed?
Sensitive People, Emotions, and Awareness Sensitive people are even more challenged. We feel our feelings and also of those around us. How do we know if this is part of our story or someone else’s? The moment it is claimed as ours it becomes part of our energy field and our story. So, how can we increase our awareness? When experiencing emotion pause a moment. What are we thinking? Does it create
Omtimes.com
this emotion as a result? If not consider it a temporary emotional wave from outside of self. It rolls in and if we don’t attach to it and claim it, (which starts spinning the story) it rolls right on out. This exercise takes practice, and it will teach us to observe our thoughts and become more conscious of what we choose to believe about ourselves. Remember: emotion + thought = belief, which creates our energetic frequency (story) and that is what we attract. The universe will validate the story we tell, so let’s choose consciously. When you look at the view of Earth from space, you are immediately in awe of what you do see: the incredible beauty of Creation. It is not until you look closer that you realize what you do not see. You do not see lines partitioning countries. You do not see separation between races. You do not see division between religions. You do not see the walls people build to isolate themselves from each other. There is only One Planet. There is only One Humanity. This section is dedicated to introducing thoughts and ideas to foster a greater understanding of Humanity’s interdependence.
