A kitchen bar stool designed to improve posture. Working with chiropractors to improve ergonomics, the Posture Bar Stool aims to alleviate pressure on the sacroiliac joints while maintaining the natural “S� shape curve in the spine. Made from solid timber, the stool is an understated addition to the modern interior.

Could eight furniture designers take a product from inception to realisation in just two days? The outcome was Brush. A product simple by name and friendly by nature. A dustpan and brush for those little jobs around the home.

Rather than moulding students into a specific way of thinking, Nottingham Trent University prides itself on encouraging individuality, with students developing their own way of designing. As a Brand Leader for Nottingham Trent Design Industries 2019 I helped to redesign the NTUDI brand.

Elapse is an alternative method used to measure time. Inspired by Grayson Perry’s “Writes of Passage” the emphasis was on creating a meaningful narrative. Using Einstein’s theory of relativity, units of time are measured as the distance between two “events”. Memories of the day are written down and then stored within the product, representing the “events”. The product gradually evolves over the course of the year. If used daily the internal tube of the product fills and can be removed. All memories can be accessed and revisited.
