During the meeting we will review the progress we’ve made in 2018, recognize our current Board of Directors, and vote on proposed bylaw changes. It’s renewal time! We are now accepting membership renewals for 2019. A goal of ours in 2018 was to introduce new and exciting events and classes to our membership. As 2019 approaches we are excited to reveal what we have in store for you for the new year. The deadline for renewals is Monday, December 31, 2018. We are offering a $100 education voucher to those who pay before Friday, December 14. This voucher is our way of saying thank you for your prompt payment and can be applied to any Association class taken during 2019. We Appreciate Our Members! What is work without a little play? Last month we hosted our first annual Realtor and Family Appreciation Day event and it was a hit! The event featured two bounce houses, free food and drinks, door prizes, and face painting. Thank you to everyone who attended and participated in this event. Especially our affiliates (Best Home Inspections of FL, Inc., Black Dog Drone Operations, Blue Water Clear Title, LLC, First International Title, Paramount Residential Mortgage Group, Inc., Prodigal Homes Inspections

& Consulting, Stewart, Women’s Council of REALTORS®, and ZAP Home Inspections) who set up booths and provided door prizes. It was an honor and privilege to host this special event for our valued members. Overall, this event was a success and we are pleased that everyone enjoyed themselves. Christmas Angels Needed! The REALTORS® Care Committee has partnered with Guardian Ad Litem-Osceola to bring a Merry Christmas to foster children across our community. If you’d like to help, please ask our Membership Services team about selecting a child (or children) from our angel tree. Please bring your tagged but unwrapped gift(s) to the Association by December 7. You can help spread Christmas joy this year by thinking of these great kids! Hurricane Michael Relief Effort Bob Caldwell with Caldwell Realty Services, Inc. is putting together a team of volunteers that will be traveling up to the Panhandle to help with recovery efforts for Hurricane Michael victums. From Friday, December 7 to Sunday December 9 the group will be staging at the Panama City Board of Realtors® office. The group will work from 12 noon until dark on Friday, all day Saturday, and until 12 noon on Saturday. Bob is currently compling a list of people that can go and will send out a list of what is needed. Volunteers do not have to be Realtors®. Everyone is welcome! Course Monitor Luncheon Providing Professional Development offerings to our members takes a team effort, and Course Monitors are a valued and essential volunteer element of our successful continuing education classes! NAR Code of Ethics Deadline is December 31 NAR’s Code of Ethics, adopted in 1913, was one of the first codifications of ethical duties adopted by any business group. The Code ensures that consumers are served by requiring REALTORS® to cooperate with each other in furthering clients’ best interests. REALTORS® are required to complete ethics training of no less than 2 hours, 30 minutes of instructional time within a two-year cycles. The training must meet specific learning objectives and criteria established by the National Association of REALTORS®. A new two-year cycle began January 1, 2017 and the deadline for this cycle is December 31, 2018. Failure to complete this requirement will result in suspension of all Board/Association-provided membership. If a suspended REALTOR® meets the requirement the next day, than their rights and privileges will be restore. Suspension of REALTOR membership will in most cases, have no effect on MLS participatory or user/ subscriber privileges. Training may be completed through your local REALTOR® association or through another method, such as home study, correspondence, classroom courses, or online courses. During 2018 we have held 12 Code of Ethics classes. At this time we have filled all remaining classes, but we there are great online options. The CE shop offers a Code of Ethics course for only $9.
