As the year comes to a close, we are excited to celebrate our members by recognizing our 2022 REALTOR® Awards recipients and installing our 2023 Board of Directors. Winners of the 2022 REALTOR® Awards are nominated by Association members for going above and beyond in their service to the community and the Association. This year’s ceremony will be held at the Embassy Suites - Orlando

Lake Buena Vista South on Saturday, December 10, 2022, at 6 p.m. Individual tickets can be purchased for $50 and Brokers Offices may purchase a table for $400.

Event registration is available at OsceolaRealtors.Org/ Installation. Please join us for an evening of dinner and recognition as we conclude 2022 and look forward to 2023. We hope to see you at the event!

2023 Membership Renewals Will Close December

Time is running out to renew your membership and continue your investment with the Osceola County Association of REALTORS®. We are happy to offer our members a variety of early bird incentives! If you renew by December 15, 2022 you will be entered into the Membership Monday weekly prize drawings for a $100 gift card each week and the drawing for a FREE annual membership. You will also receive a $100 education voucher to be used for 2023 classes.

There are multiple ways you can renew your membership:

1. Log on to the members portal located on our website, osceolarealtors.org and pay online.

2. Call (407) 846-0117 and one of our membership specialists can assist you in the renewal process.

3. Visit our office and renew in person.

4. Mail your renewal check to 1105 Cross Prairie Pkwy, Kissimmee, Florida 34744

Tips for Paying:

• If a broker wishes to pay for their agents, they must be done on an individual basis.

• We highly recommend paying your dues online. Our phones will be busy during the renewal period. We appreciate your patience.

Welcome New VIPs

We did it! We have officially met our 2022 RPAC Goals!

We surpassed all 3 goals due to the motivation and participation of our members. Thank you to our committee members for their support and hard work! We exceeded our financial goal of $134,798 with a total of $136,008. Our participation goal was 37%, and we came in at 39%. Lastly, our goal for Major Investors was 28, and we also surpassed that with a total of 32.

More good news! All of OSCAR’s endorsed candidates for the November 2022 General Election were victorious in their campaigns! Their victories highlight the importance of our Association’s involvement with local government in making decisions that benefit our business and community.

Remember, when renewing your OSCAR membership this month, please consider not just donating the suggested RPAC fair share amount of $30 but increasing it to $99 and be recognized for the 99 Club Member investment.

Let’s keep moving forward in 2023 by supporting our real estate profession and homeownership through RPAC.

The Global Alliance Committee is happy to report that we had a globally eventful week during the 2022 NAR NXT Conference & Expo.

Our Global Meet & Greet was attended by NAR`s Global leaders, coordinators, and ambassadors, along with foreign delegates from over 15 countries. Many of them had an opportunity to visit our Association, meet our leaders, and learn about the Osceola County and Central Florida real estate market. They were very impressed by our Association, hospitality, as well as the real estate market and the work we do to help our members grow their businesses globally. Such events create an opportunity for an open line of communication and international collaborations between associations, educational programs, and trade missions to promote international homeownership and help our members expand their global network.

Despite the tropical storm, the NAR NXT Conference & Expo had a significant number of real estate professionals traveling from the US and 62 countries around the world. NAR has conducted productive global and governance meetings, brought relevant educational sessions and international networking opportunity.

The REALTORS® Global Assistance Fund, which supports a global disaster relief program, was approved during the conference. Many of NAR`s global leaders worked very hard to

REALTORS® CARE Committee

CARA BRITAIN REALTORS® CARE COMMITTEE CHAIR

Happy December! This has been a wonderful year for the REALTORS® Care Committee, and I’m so excited to share some of the highlights of what we were able to accomplish together.

We continued our ongoing service project with the Osceola Council on Aging by delivering Meals on Wheels to the elderly and homebound in our community every Monday throughout the year.

Twis and I had the opportunity to attend the Osceola County Education Foundation Awards Ceremony on Wednesday, April 27th. At the event, we presented $1,000 scholarships to five deserving high school seniors who were chosen for writing the most compelling essays by our hardworking REALTORS® Care subcommittee members.

In May, we collected donations for Two Men and a Truck’s annual Movers for Moms® benefitting local mothers and their children through Help Now of Osceola. The agency provides a temporary safe shelter for survivors of domestic abuse who are in danger and experience fear of abuse. Thanks to YOUR generous contributions, the committee was able to donate over 100 items for the Movers for Moms® donation drive. Members donated diapers, socks, underwear, food, household items, kitchenware, personal hygiene products, pain relief medicine, and gift cards. The REALTORS® Care Committee also had the opportunity to volunteer in person with Help Now of Osceola. We spent time cleaning, painting, straightening up the donation closet, and organizing the kitchen. It was extremely rewarding to meet some of the mothers and children we have been helping!

In July, Florida REALTORS® and community partners came together to clean up our lakes, rivers, streams, bays, Intracoastal Waterway, Gulf, and ocean. The REALTORS® Care Committee participated in the annual Florida Waters Clean-up by picking-up trash from local parks in Kissimmee and Saint Cloud! Together we cleaned up over 420lbs of trash!

In our most recent School Supply Drive, the REALTORS® Care Committee, along with our members, collected and donated over 1,000 items to the Education Foundation of Osceola County!

I am excited to welcome Paula Bui as the new Chair of the REALTORS Care Committee for 2023 and am honored to continue to serve on this committee with new and seasoned members next year! Together we will serve our community at the Speed of Now!

The Florida Realtors Global Business Committee has made history by being the first ever state global council to achieve the DIAMOND Global Achievement Program Award representing over 200,000 members. Our committee has also been a proud recipient of the Diamond Award since 2019.

As 2022 comes to an end, the Commercial Alliance Committee would like to thank its committee members for their dedication and congratulate our upcoming 2023 Chair, Amy Noble, and Vice-Chair, Cheryl Grieb.

The purpose of the Commercial Alliance Committee is to identify and connect commercial real estate practitioner members and members with a potential interest in commercial specialties. All members of the Commercial Alliance Committee are active Commercial Realtors.

Members of this committee aim to connect with commercial overlay boards, commercial specialty institutes, and commercial marketing platforms to better serve and engage commercial practitioners.
