New Member Welcome

Effective April 1, due to construction near our office, we will be moving our education classes to a Satellite Classroom located at 2262 E. Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway Kissimmee, FL 34744 (only 0.5 miles down the road from our office). All other membership and committee activities (renewals, payments, Supra, meetings, etc.) will continue to be held at our office on Shady Lane. Please also note that our driveway entrance will be shifting slightly. Please use caution when entering the parking lot. Our goal is to make this transition as seamless as possible. We will continue to provide updates as progress is being made. If you have not done so already, please sign up for our Members First Text Program. You can opt-in by texting the word “OSCAR“ (all caps) to 55222 and opt-out by texting the word “STOP“ to 55222. We will only text you important time-sensitive information.

NAR Code of Ethics Being a member of the National Association of Realtors® means you hold yourself to a higher standard. The REALTORS® Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice set you apart from those who are not members by establishing objective, enforceable ethical standards that govern the professional conduct of REALTORS®. Every two years, new and continuing REALTOR® members are required to take a Code of Ethics class. The current cycle (six) began January 1, 2019 and will end December 31, 2020. We encourage all of our members to complete this requirement early to avoid disruptions in services when the deadline approaches. The training can be done at the Association or online. Please visit the Members Portal to view our current offerings. When searching our calendar use the “Modify Tag Filters” button and select “COE” to quickly view all of our offerings.

THANKS TO OUR RPAC INVESTORS! We recently hosted our first RPAC Online Silent Auction of the year and successfully raised nearly $6,000 that will help us reach our $81,177 goal for this year. The bid items included assorted gift baskets, high quality kitchen appliances, and several gift cards. The week long event ended with an RPAC Investor Reception where we honored our members who have contributed to RPAC at the $99 Club level and above. During the reception, we received updates from Tim Weisheyer, Florida Realtors® Trustee Vice Chair and Kevin Besserer, Florida Realtors® Regional Director of Advocacy and Public Policy. We’d like to thank all of our investors for their contributions and commitment to making RPAC a priority. The REALTORS® Political Action Committee is our connection to legislators in Tallahassee. It provides a strong voice and fights for Florida’s Realtors® and homeowners in Tallahassee. Without RPAC, our voice falls silent.

TWIS LIZASUAIN

CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

We encourage all of our members to make their $20 fairshare contribution. Please call us if you would like to support RPAC.

Creating a Service Driven Property Management Operation

REDEEM YOUR EDUCATION VOUCHERS BEFORE 12/31/19

3/01/2019

9:00 am-12:00 pm

Join Cynthia DeLuca as she takes you through the day to day operations of her own property management offices. Learn to create multiple sources of income streams from full property services. This course includes the conceptual and legal aspects, marketing techniques to attract clients, tenant issues, insurance recommendation, accounting requirements, staffing and financial planning. Whether you intend to add property management as a compliment to your brokerage and sales activities, or manage thousands of units, you’ll find solid, real-world ideas from this power-packed course.

Pricing Strategies: Mastering the CMA

3/04/2019

9:00 am-4:00 pm

6CE

In virtually every business endeavor, risk is a byproduct of existence. In the real estate profession, risk exists on several fronts. In fact, we don’t even have to have a transaction in order to create risk. This course will speak to and help you avoid the most common risks associated with the practice of real estate sales and management.

(PSA) The Pricing Strategy Advisor (PSA) certification is specifically designed to enhance your skills in pricing properties, creating a comparable market analysis (CMA), working with appraisers, and guiding clients through the anxieties and misperceptions they often have about home values.

Core Law

3/06/2019

9:00 am-12:00 pm

$$

3CE

This course provides an advanced look into real estate law beyond the basic sales associates’ course. This course is not designed to make participants legal experts, but rather to help them identify and understand legal issues that arise. The more a licensee knows, the better he or she can work with customers and safeguard them from legal complications. This understanding will also help licensees avoid serious complications and minimize risk for themselves and their brokers.

Code of Ethics

3/06/2019

1:00 pm-4:00 pm

3CE

All active REALTOR® members must take a code of ethics class sometime between January 1, 2019 and December 31, 2020. Failure to meet this mandate is membership violation and will result in suspension of membership until the requirement is met or until membership is automatically terminated. This class meets the NAR mandated requirement for completion of a Code of Ethics class. Market Like a Rock Star

3/08/2019

9:00 am-12:00 pm

3CE

Today’s consumers have access to more information, tools, and are more mobile than ever before! Some of the biggest changes are how consumers are affected by marketing and how they make business decisions while being inundated with marketing messages on a daily basis. For a REALTOR® to succeed, they need to adapt and change their marketing techniques. By leveraging newer video and social media platforms they will be able to make their promotions more targeted, personal, and visual. Become a Social Media Super Star

3/08/2019

1:00 pm-5:00 pm

4CE

Whether you are new or well versed to the world of social media & looking for a way to take it to the next level, this course teaches you why social media has become a force in business, how you can find and connect with potential clients online, and how to generate online success in under 15 minutes a day! You will also get a behind the scenes tour of Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Google Plus, YouTube, Pinterest, and more. Demystifying the Appraisal Process

3/12/2019

1:00 pm-4:00 pm

3CE

This program educates today’s real estate consumer on the appraisal process, through the Realtor. With so many short sales and foreclosures, today’s appraisal values (and consumer tempers) can be all over the place. Consumers want to make sure they are getting “a good deal” and may sometimes feel that they should be paying less than a listed price, or wonder why their “low ball” offer on the short sale wasn’t accepted. This course provides Realtors® with the insight and expertise to work with their customer in understanding a home’s appraised value in today’s market. iCE Topic: Introduction to The Cloud

3/14/2019

1:00 pm-3:00 pm

2CE

Working through The Cloud and utilizing current mobile-oriented technology will allow you greater productivity so that you can get more done on-the-go. For those working with teams, you’ll love the collaborative ability of many apps, as well as the resources on the Google platform. You’ll get more done, more efficiently than ever before.
