We’re now hard at work with our next event. I want to thank our sponsors for helping make our events possible & successful. Also, thanks to our President & Board for the continued support of our endeavors to achieve every award possible and keep us relevant in our market. So keep your eyes out for save the dates for our next event & God Bless your Global business in 2020!
Parking Reminder This month marks six months that we’ve been located at our New (Temporary) Office! We encourage our members to visit us to familiarize yourselves with the area, parking lot and security check-in. As a reminder, we are sharing our office space with other companies and this can limit the accommodations we’re able to provide. When visiting the Association office for a class or meeting, please be mindful of where you park in the parking lot. The spaces marked “Visitor Parking” are not meant to be used by the Asssociation or its members. Our members are more than welcome to park in any of the unmarked spaces in the lot. Thank you for your patience and cooperation!
RPAC Committee Justin Shrouder RPAC Committee Chair The last month has been full of big things for RPAC. During the first week of February, a number of our members went to Tallahassee for Great American Realtor Days to discuss issues that affect our business and our community. Also, in early February our goal was set by Florida Realtors® at $92,708! It is a big goal, but with the support of our members, it is a very achievable one. We are still in the planning stages for some great events that will allow our members to get involved and contribute to RPAC including our golf tournament and our first ever ‘Day at the Range’ event that we are very excited about. Stay tuned for upcoming dates and we look forward to seeing you at all of these events.
“Our goal was set by Florida Realtors® at $92,708!”

Realtors® Care Committee Nicholas Shrouder Committee Chair Once again the Realtors® Care Committee has been out and about in our community! Our weekly route for Meals on Wheels is continuing to be a rewarding experience for our volunteers. For those familiar with our weekly route, one of the recipients, Mr. Perez, passed away, but due to the overwhelming generosity from our member Leslie Hanna, Rocky, Mr. Perez’s 12 year old dog, has been adopted. Rocky will have a new forever home with Leslie and her family! Our sub-committee has been hard at work reviewing scholarship applications for our annual contribution to the Education Foundation-Osceola. In addition, we are once again taking part in the Second Harvest Food Bank - Food Drop that will be held on March 31. If you are interested in joining the team, we would love to have you! Contact Nancy Hubbard to join at 407-846-0117 or nhubbard@osceola-realtors.com.

Jumpstart Your International Business: This program is a step-by-step guide & ‘how-to’ for both beginning & veteran real estate professionals who are looking to expand their business and bottom line. These are tried and true techniques and strategies developed by the instructors themselves & proven successful over time. Risk Management For the International Practitioner: International buyers and sellers have played an increasingly important role in the U.S.A. real estate market over recent years. As a result, more and more real estate professionals® are working with customers from other countries. There is rising affluence throughout the world, and buyers come from a wide variety of countries to purchase U.S. real estate, drawn by “bargain-priced” homes, desirable lifestyle, favorable currency exchange rates or finding a safe haven for themselves and their money. More real estate professionals than ever have now worked with an overseas buyer or seller. They are attractive as customers because: The majority of sales are cash purchases and Foreign purchasers typically buy higher priced homes.
CENSUS 101: WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW The 2020 Census is closer than you think! Here’s a quick refresher of what it is and why it’s essential that everyone is counted.
Everyone counts. The census counts every person living in the United States once, only once, and in the right place.
It’s about fair representation.
It’s in the Constitution.
Every 10 years, the results of the census are used to reapportion the House of Representatives, determining how many seats each state gets.
The U.S. Constitution mandates that everyone in the country be counted every 10 years. The first census was in 1790.
It’s about $675 billion.
The distribution of more than $675 billion in federal funds, grants, and support to states, counties, and communities are based on census data. That money is spent on schools, hospitals, roads, public works, and other vital programs.
It’s about redistricting. After each decade’s census, state officials redraw the boundaries of the congressional and state legislative districts in their states to account for population shifts.
Taking part is your civic duty. Completing the census is mandatory: it’s a way to participate in our democracy and say “I COUNT!”
