As the year winds down, we would like to THANK YOU for your membership by inviting you and your family to our Annual REALTOR® Appreciation Day and Vital Industry Partner (VIP) Showcase on November 19 from 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. This FREE event will feature bounce houses, face painting, games, food, and prizes throughout the day. Join us for a fun day and learn more about the exclusive offers our VIPs provide just for OSCAR members!

Membership Renewals Will Open November

It is almost time to renew your membership and continue your investment with the Osceola County Association of REALTORS®. We are happy to offer our members a variety of early bird incentives! If you renew by December 15, 2022 you will be entered into the Membership Monday weekly prize drawings for a $100 gift card each week and the drawing for a FREE annual membership. You will also receive a $100 education voucher to be used for 2023 classes.

There are multiple ways you can renew your membership:

1. Log on to the members portal located on our website, osceolarealtors.org and pay online.

2. Call (407) 846-0117 and one of our membership specialists can assist you in the renewal process.

3. Visit our office and renew in person.

4. Mail your renewal check to 1105 Cross Prairie Pkwy, Kissimmee, Florida 34744

Tips for Paying:

• If a broker wishes to pay for their agents, they must be done on an individual basis.

• We highly recommend paying your dues online. Our phones will be busy during the renewal period. We appreciate your patience.

• Before you process your payment, verify that it is your record!

It is incredible how fast 2022 has gone and the wonderful accomplishments RPAC has been able to achieve this year.

I would like to say a BIG thank you to the RPAC committee, our members, sponsors, and staff for the success of our 2022 Fall Fest and our first ever Osceola Realtors® Cornhole Tournament. It was fun to see old friends and a great opportunity to mingle with new members. We hope that it will become an annual event!

We surpassed our goal for the event and raised $10,347 towards our total goal of $134,798.

Congratulations to our new Major Investors! Each new Major Investor is recognized in our weekly Realtors Resource and in our private Realtor Party Facebook page. It is not too late to become a Major Investor! Don’t forget we still have the gift card incentives until the end of November.

Reminder: The National Association of REALTORS® is having their Annual Conference in Orlando from November 11 -13, 2022. We encourage attending the meetings to learn more about the Realtor Party!

CARA BRITAIN REALTORS® CARE COMMITTEE CHAIR

Happy November! Thank you to everyone who donated school supplies in our recent school supply drive which benefitted A Gift for Teaching with the Education Foundation of Osceola County! We collected a large amount of muchneeded supplies for our teachers and their students, especially those affected by Hurricane Ian!

As always, the REALTORS® Care Committee has continued to serve the elderly and homebound alongside the Osceola Council on Aging by delivering Meals on Wheels every Monday. Paula and I even had the opportunity to sing during one of our recent deliveries when the lady we brought food for mentioned she was alone for her birthday!

When you volunteer, it is so much more than just bringing a meal, which is, of course a vital necessity, but sometimes you may be the only person they see all day! Consider volunteering your time and making a difference in someone’s life this Thanksgiving season. We would love to have you join us! Just reach out to Nancy for details.

Thank you to all of the members who attended last month’s Economic Update. We had a great turnout and even better presentations from local economic experts. We appreciate them sharing their time and insights with our members. As the residential real estate market slows due to rising inflation, the commercial real estate market is experiencing the same slowdown in growth. For our members interested in pursuing Commercial Real Estate, here are some insights on the different sectors of growth:.

• Multifamily and Industrial properties were the leading sectors for the majority of 2022.

• The Industrial sector shows no signs of slowing down.

• As consumers cut back on spending due to elevated inflation, the net absorption of retail space decreased in the third quarter.

• However, neighborhood retail that offers in-person services continues to grow.

• Due to many office workers choosing to navigate to hybrid work, the office sector continues to struggle.

As the New Year approaches, we will review the developments in Commercial Real Estate and continue to keep you informed.
