Osceola County - Noticias / News Condado Osceola continúa compromiso con la seguridad pública Condado Osceola, FL – Apoyando su compromiso con la seguridad pública, los comisionados del Condado Osceola esperan con ansias el inicio de la construcción de la primera de las tres estaciones de bomberos que se construirán en el año presupuestario actual. clearing, all site utilities and storm water, driving pad, skid pad, armory building, shoot house, a pistol range bay, a 300-yard range tower and range, and an all-terrain range.

Previous DACA recipients can now file online Washington, U.S. - Citizenship and Immigration Services announced today that individuals who previously received deferred action under "Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals" (DACA) may now file "Form I-821D, Consideration of Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals", online.

At this time, the option to file online is only available for individuals who have previously been granted DACA. Such individuals must also file "Form I-765, Application for Employment Authorization", which is available for online filing, as well as the Form I-765 Worksheet, which is required as evidence in support of the filing for DACA. To file Form I-821D and Form I-765 online, a DACA requestor must first create a USCIS online account, which provides a convenient and secure method to submit forms, pay fees and track the status of any pending USCIS immigration request throughout the adjudication process. There is no cost to set up an account, which of-

fers a variety of features, including the ability to communicate with USCIS through a secure inbox and respond online to Requests for Evidence.

With the addition of online filing for Form I-821D, individuals can now file 13 USCIS forms online, which can all be found on the "Forms Available to File Online" page. USCIS continues to accept the latest paper versions of all forms by mail.

Consistent with a court order issued in State of Texas, et al., v. United States of America, et al., 1:18-CV00068 (S.D. Tex. July 16, 2021), the Department of Homeland Security continues to accept the filing of both initial and renewal DACA requests, as well as accompanying requests for employment authorization. Educación - Education Noticias / News Florida Central organizará una conferencia virtual sobre resiliencia y curación comunitarias Orlando FL – Los días 21 y 22 de abril, la Coalición de Aprendizaje Temprano del Condado Orange y el Instituto de Paz y Justicia de Valencia College organizarán una conferencia virtual de dos días sobre la resiliencia comunitaria y la superación de los desafíos sociales, incluidas las experiencias infantiles adversas.

Central Florida to host virtual conference on community resilience & healing Orlando FL – On April 21-22, the Early Learning Coalition of Orange County and the Peace and Justice Institute at Valencia College will host a two-day virtual conference on community resilience and overcoming societal challenges, including adverse childhood experiences.

The conference -- “Creating a Resilient Community: From Trauma to Healing Conference" -- is in its fourth year.

Each year, the conference hosts cutting-edge keynote speakers and convenes participants to explore community wellness, Positive & Adverse Childhood Experiences (PACEs), and traumainformed practices that can transform our region into one of prevention, hope, healing and resilience for all.

This year's guest speaker is Dr. Asim Jani, an epidemiologist and expert on community health. Trained at the University of South Florida College of Medicine, Jani holds multiple specialties, including internal medicine, family medicine, infectious disease and global health.

“This year, we are taking a hyperlocal focus. While in the past we have brought in national experts to help us understand the issues, this year we’re looking at how we can make the shift to create a healthy community here in Central Florida,” said Rachel Allen, director of the Peace and Justice Institute at Valencia College.

On the first day of the conference, Jani will outline the paradigm shift needed to create community resilience and well-being. The second day will feature 18 workshops showcasing best practices and the work already being done in specific sectors: health/wellness, business, education, government, nonprofit, faith, criminal justice, public safety, and child welfare.

Walt Disney World earmarks 80 acres for new affordable housing development Lake Buena Vista, FL – Walt Disney World Resort will earmark nearly 80 acres of land to bring a new affordable housing development to life in southwest Orange County, Florida.

This initiative has been in the works for quite some time and builds on The Walt Disney Company’s long legacy of bringing positive, lasting change to the communities it calls home – making an important difference locally to address one of the nation’s greatest challenges.

This new development, which is still in the early planning stages and subject to appropriate approvals, is expected to include more than 1,300 units and will be constructed by a thirdparty affordable housing developer on Disney’s land near its Central Florida theme parks. The development will offer residents a variety of home choices that are affordable and attainable,

located in close proximity to schools and the new and expanding Flamingo Crossings Town Center retail and dining complex. It will offer a variety of amenities to foster a strong community.

Known for building industry-leading theme parks and resort hotels around the world, Disney will engage the developer to bring that same innovation, expertise and attention to detail to this initiative. The development will be available for qualifying applicants from the general public, including Disney cast members.

More details about this initiative will be released at a later date as the company continues due diligence work with a prominent affordable housing developer. Disney’s initiative will play an important role as leaders in the community – including Orange County Mayor Jerry L. Demings – continue to

prioritize finding lasting solutions to affordable housing in Central Florida.

This new initiative in Central Florida will join additional investments Disney is making in affordable housing.

Several years ago, Disneyland Resort led an effort to revitalize the Orange County Housing Trust that provides “last mile” funding for affordable housing projects in Anaheim. This made the Buena Esperanza project — a converted studio apartment community for veterans and homeless individuals with mental illness — a reality. In addition to providing them a place to live, the community offers job placement and mental health and wellness support to residents. As a result of Disney’s investment a second project, Finamore Place, in Anaheim is under construction with an expected completion date of early summer 2022. It will

provide over 100 additional housing units. Disneyland Resort will continue to show support for these and other such worthy endeavors.

These initiatives are among the many ways Disney is strengthening its communities, including hundreds of millions of dollars provided in philanthropic donations to local nonprofits, the Disney VoluntEARS program, contributions to local foodbanks and more.

Walt Disney World Resort also recently donated $3 million to important causes in the community, including organizations on the front lines of the affordable housing issue.

Impuestos - Taxes Fecha límite para presentar impuestos del 2021 Washington, DC — La fecha límite para presentar sus impuestos federales este año es el lunes 18 de abril de 2022. Esto se debe a que a pesar de que el 15 de abril es un viernes, también es el Día de la Emancipación, que se celebra en Washington, DC, lo que hace que todas las empresas y oficinas gubernamentales cierren. Eso significa más tiempo para asegurarse de aprovechar al máximo su declaración de impuestos.

El Servicio de Rentas Internas, IRS, insta a las personas y familias de ingresos bajos y moderados, en especial a aquellas que normalmente no presentan una declaración de impuestos, a usar Free File del IRS para preparar su propia declaración de impuestos federales, presentarla electrónicamente y obtener un reembolso por deposito directo, todo gratuitamente. El software de impuestos guía a las personas a través de cada sección de su declaración de impuestos a través de un formato de preguntas y respuestas.

Deadline for filing 2021 Federal Taxes Washington, DC ― The deadline for filing your Federal Taxes this year is Monday, April 18, 2022. This is because even though April 15th is a Friday, it is also Emancipation Day, which is celebrated in Washington, DC, causing all businesses and government offices to close. That means more time to make sure you get the most out of your tax return.

The Internal Revenue Service urged low- to moderate-income individuals and families, especially those who don't normally file a tax return, to use IRS Free File to prepare their own federal tax return, file electronically and get a refund by direct deposit – all for free. The tax software guides people through each section of their tax return using a question-and-answer format. It's safe, easy and free to file a federal return.

Individuals who didn't earn enough money to require them to file may mistakenly assume that since they owe no tax they're not entitled to a refund.

They may, however, be eligible for the Earned Income Tax Credit, the Child Tax Credit, the Child & Dependent Care Credit, the Premium Tax Credit or the 2021 Recovery Rebate Credit.

These credits are refundable and can result in a refund, even if the individual owes no income tax.

Eligible people who did not receive a third-round of the Economic Impact Payment or received less than the full amount may claim the Recovery Rebate Credit when they file their 2021 tax return. Osceola Arts El momento del proyecto de murales públicos ARTisNOW - A continuación en Osceola Arts Kissimmee, FL - Osceola Arts ¡El momento es ahora, proyecto de murales ARTisNOW 2022! ¡Estamos muy emocionados de dar la bienvenida a nuestro primer artista mural de 2022, Don Rimx de Orlando, estará pintando en el Valencia College Osceola Campus (Edificio C) en Kissimmee del 11 al 17 de abril!

El arte incomparable de Don Rimx lo distingue del resto. Como artista plástico de formación clásica, grafitero, muralista a gran escala y hace tatuajes de la nueva escuela, Don lo hace todo. Originario de la hermosa isla de Puerto Rico, se mudó a Brooklyn en 2009 y ahora vive en la soleada Florida. La vida de la ciudad tuvo un profundo efecto en sus obras de arte. A través del uso de líneas intrincadas, elementos de madera y ladrillo, y ricos tratamientos de color, Don Rimx ha compuesto impresionantes estructuras esqueléticas que exploran la síntesis del hombre y su ciudad.

Don Rimx’s unparalleled artistry sets him apart from the rest. As a classically trained fine artist, graffitist, grand scale muralist, and new school tattoo artist, Don does it all.

Originally from the beautiful island of Puerto Rico, he moved to Brooklyn in 2009 and is now living in sunny Florida. City life had a profound effect on his works of art. Through the use of intricate lines, wood and brick elements, and rich color treatments, Don Rimx has comprised breathtaking skeletal structures exploring the synthesis of man and his city.

Don has participated in national and international urban beautification projects including Los Muros

Hablan New York & Puerto Rico, Beck’s Urban Canvas Miami, Muraleo Puerto Rico, Fiesta de Colores Ecuador, and Beyond Walls Lynn where he was given the key to the city for contributing to the local culture. He has realized more than a dozen murals across the United States. In 2018 he created a beautiful mural for the Starbucks on Miami Beach. México inicia el camino a Qatar en Orlando Este 27 de abril la Selección Mexicana tendrá su primer partido de preparación después de haber amarrado su boleto para la Copa del Mundo.

Será en el Camping World Stadium de Orlando ante su similar de Guatemala, equipo al que no enfrenta desde 2014.

Debido a que no es fecha FIFA, muchos de los convocados usuales no estarán presentes, principalmente los que juegan en Europa. Aun así, sin duda será una excelente oportunidad para el “Tata” Martino de probar varios jugadores que aún pueden ganarse un lugar en la plantilla final para Qatar 2022.

Se sabe que el DT de la selección aún no ha definido esos últimos puestos, por ello este amistoso es tan importante para todos los convocados, ya que solamente habrá 5 o 6 partidos más para México antes del mundial en noviembre. ¿Cuáles son las nuevas caras que vendrán a Orlando? Principalmente son varias figuras de la Liga MX que han tenido pocas o nulas oportunidades en la mayor. Carlos Acevedo, el portero del Santos que ha surgido como el posible futuro del arco de la selección y quien aún no ha debutado con la misma podría tener su primera oportunidad.

Juan Pablo Vigón, ex de Pumas, hoy con Tigres, ha sido uno de los pedidos por la afición y por fin podrá debutar con la selección. Haret Ortega, de solo 21 años, ha surgido como un baluarte en la central del Toluca, salido de la cantera del América. Fernando Beltrán, uno de los pocos estelares de las Chivas este torneo. Víctor Guzmán, resurgido en el líder Pachuca y quien ya dejó atrás su fiasco cuanto fue traspasado al Guadalajara.
