I Need YOU!
Brother Knights we have now entered the busiest time of the fraternal year for your’s truly: Super Cash Bonanza time! The theme for this year’s campaign is I Need You!
That’s right, the Charity Brothers are back for one more attempt at a Million Dollars in Sales. We have a whole new video which we premiered at the District Deputy Meeting in January and we received great reviews so I hope you’ll enjoy it - and my brothers in the Arch, I know you will help put me over the top this year. Ticket distribution is this Saturday in the archdiocese. Details can be found on page four of this issue. Help me to help you to help our charities here in the Arch.
Beacons of Light is in full swing now and it’s not too late to establish a round table at the parishes in your family which you may or may not already currently service. The Form #2629 available on the Supreme website is simple. All you need to do is list the members of your roundtable team, often they will be members of that under served or sister parish. Then meet with father to find out if he has any needs at that particular church. It’s that easy and establishing round tables helps us as a jurisdiction reach the Supreme Circle of Honor.
The Greater Cincinnati Chapter Degree Team is offering their services to present an Exemplification of Charity, Unity and Fraternity at your council or
parish. So many have asked for the return of live degrees and this is your opportunity to schedule one for your candidates. Believe me they do an excellent job and it takes a lot off your shoulders. Contact Jim Klatte for scheduling dates at: jimklatte@yahoo.com or call him at (513) 490-3511.
The fi rst Wednesday of February I have the incredible honor of presenting the Ohio Charity Foundation Catholic student/high school scholarship checks. I will also be presenting a check at the upcoming Dayton Chapter meeting on the third Wednesday of this month.
Submissions were down again this year. This is an excellent program to help students afford a Catholic education. The information and applications are available by visiting the state website starting September 1st of each year and applications to the program are due to chairman PSD Robert Collins by November 15th each year.
Finally, be on the lookout for information on the State Campout this year in our very own Celina.
Most importantly thank you brothers for all that you do in your communities, parish families and throughout the archdiocese for Charity, in Unity, and with Fraternity.

During this February, our Worthy State Deputy wants to reward men who are not content to repeat the same things over and over. He is going to re- ward those who get things done.
The first ten men to sponsor a new member to a council will each receive $50. Please note, this is for the first ten who email the following information to the Worthy State Membership Director Michael Freil (before month end):
Member name Exemplification Date Council number
Your member # Copy of Form 100
The new member MUST appear on the council roster before March 1 to qualify so don’t delay. For the month of February—the early bird truly does get the worm (or the fifty bucks)!
Remember—if you don’t ask—they can’t join Bring in three new members and receive a Challenge Coin while supplies last.
Round Tables: It’s easier than ever to establish a round table with your sister parish in you Family of Parishes which does not have a council covering it. User Supreme Form #2629 on the Supreme website by clicking on the big red “For Members” button. You can list brothers who are members of your council who attend that parish. This also helps us achieve our Circle of Honor goals!
Fourth Degree Growth Challenge: Sir Knights, do you want to help grow your assemblies? The best way to do this is to grow your council with new members! Our State Deputy is challenging Ohio Sir Knights to recruit one new member for their councils in February.

The presentation will help Fraternal leaders resolve to leave councils, parish, and community better than how they found it. Leader should also learn how to develop a simple, specific, year-round plan in place for growing council membership, that involves participation from the whole council. Attendees should commit to work with their pastor(s), field agent, and DD to accomplish their goals. Leaders should understand the importance of hosting regular ceremonials, incorporating recruitment into every event, and running membership drives.

Many councils have been struggling with where and how to fill out the forms on the Supreme website. Where do we find them? How do we fill them out? Who can fill out the online forms? Who has access? Lots of questions to go through and we will get the answers together.

Brother Knights in the Archdiocese of Cincinnati February this year is a month that has two different kinds of feeling. We begin with the feeling of love for our family and friends as we celebrate St Valentine’s day. Then we turn our feelings to sorrow on the 22nd when we start 40 days of lent. Let's all have a wonderful start to the Lenten season as we look forward to the resurrection of our Lord and savior Jesus Christ.

Long-Term Care
The Knights of Columbus can help your family recover from an extended care event, whether it results from a chronic illness requiring long-term care or a move to a nursing home or assisted-living facility. The cost of an extended care event could significantly impact your ability to meet your retirement income goals. Your asset accumulation plan contributes to the income required to live comfortably during your retirement and provides extended care protection should you or a loved one ever need it.
Key questions to consider when it comes to extended care:
• Who will pay for the care?
• Who will provide for the care?
• Where will the care be provided?
