A Time for Celebration
The holidays are coming up quickly and they are a time for celebration; Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year’s. We celebrate being with our families and we celebrate with our brother Knights being thankful for each other and being thankful for the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ.
The number one lament I heard from brother Knights during and just after the COVID lockdown was not being able to spend time with our brother Knights. Let’s face it, it’s very hard to “celebrate” alone by yourself. We are fraternal men.
The councils throughout the Archdiocese are doing some incredible work in the spirit of Blessed
Gene Cordier
Michael McGivney every day. All of the good works we do in his name, no matter how how large or how small really makes a difference in our parishes and communities. Even when it happens behind the scenes.
Personally, not a day goes by that I am not thankful for the Knights of Columbus, and you my brother Knights. I am truly blessed by knowing all of you and having known our fellow brothers who have passed on – for this I am a better person and I am truly thankful for you.
Happy Thanksgiving! Michael J. Felerski State Treasurer
Reminder: November Pro Life Rosary Walk Cincinnati Chapter
If you believe in the power of prayer, and you believe in the pro-life effort, then what better way to pray for the election of pro-life politicians than tens (dare I say hundreds) of Knights praying to end abortion on Saturday November 5th, the last Rosary Walk before the election?
For the last 20 or so years, dedicated pro-lifers, including several local Knights, have gathered every Saturday at the Holy Name Church on Auburn Ave in Clifton (Near the University of Cincinnati) to celebrate Mass, pray three mysteries of the Rosary for the end of abortion in front of the Planned
Parenthood Center, and then return to Holy Name for Benediction.
"We need to participate for the common good. Sometimes we hear: a good Catholic is not interested in politics. This is not true: good Catholics immerse themselves in politics by offering the best of themselves so that the leader can govern." - Pope Francis, 9/16/13
Grand Knights, General Program Chairmen, Pro Life Activity Directors: bring this event to your Council. Lead by example. Get your Knights and their families to Holy Name Church at 2422 Auburn Ave by 8 am on November 5th for Mass, or by around 8:30 am for the rosary procession to Planned Parenthood. Let our prayers close down this den of iniquity, as did the walls of Jericho fall many years ago. No distance is too far to travel to pray for the end of abortion.

We know you’re probably expec2ng some kind of corny turkey joke to announce the November Growth Incen2ves. Do you really think Mark would let us do that?
The first ten Brothers who recruit a new member in November (He has to appear on your roster by December 1) will gobble up $35 each. If you bring in 3 new members—you will also receive a Fast Start challenge coin.
A3er all those October blitzes there should be lots of awards.
You did hold at least one church drive in October didn’t you? It’s never to late. If not, talk with your pastor and have one or two in November.
Here’s an idea: talk with your pastor about having one in March. Do it now so you’ll definitely be ready by then.
On behalf of the Officers, Directors and staff of the Ohio State Council, we want to wish you and your families, your councils and your parishes a blessed Thanksgiving.
Vivat Jesus!

Month
of the Rosary
By Tony Offenberger State Faith Director
Brother Knights of the Archdiocese of Cincinnati,
November is the month we remember the deceased members of our councils. There are many ways to do this but the most used way is having a mass said for them. This can be done on a weekend or a daily mass. Some councils have an evening daily mass for the members of council to attend. The most important thing is to do something. These deceased members need prayer said for them.
Your friend in Christ,
Tony Offenberger Faith Director
