INTRODUCTION: We started this term working on different styles of poems and trying to make some of each. At first we thought that it could be boring but, actually, we really enjoyed it. In our project of this term, we decided to talk about two poems written by ourselves. We also have to do a present with it and give it to someone important for us. We are going to show you the poems we made these last days during the English lessons. RUTH: In this project I am going to talk about a special poem. I say that it is special because I made this poem in a bad day. Some people think that this poem is very sinister but I like it. When Loly said that we going to write a poem I thought that it would be boring but, at the end, it was funny. And, in this project, I decide to make my project about this poem. ANDREA: At the beginning of this term, our English teacher Loly told us that we were going to work with poems and songs. At first, it didn’t sound me very entertaining but, at the end, I really enjoyed it. We started talking about the different types of poems and we wrote some of each. In this term I learnt about Acrostics, Haikus, Calligrams and
Dadda poems. I did some Haikus and a Calligram by myself, and I did, with Ruth, an Acrostic and a Dadda poem too. I am going to talk about a poem that I wrote, what I was thinking when I wrote it and whom I am going to give it to.

POEMS WRITTEN BY US: ACROSTIC: The story Is about love, The impossible love. A dark cold night. Never forget it If death Calls you at your door.
HAIKUS: RUTH’S POEMS:
If death calls you now go with her to her heaven I prefer my hell
This place is so black I don’t know where I am now I remember you.

This is my bad end And then I can hear your voice, calling me, in hell.
We are very young and now, hell and heaven are very far away.
ANDREA’S POEMS:
All the walls are white. I hear voices in my head, but no one is yours.

My kind of madness. If someone asks me for you, I’ll say: it’s with me.
Wet tears in her eyes, Some steps walking far away. Broken heart again.

ANDREA’S POEM: The lights turn in colours and they flood the whole room. In the distance, the wind flies away the last notes of a lullaby, and the memory of a caress which never comes, before the last beam of the Sun lights up her close eyes and lets the moon watch over her dreams. When I wrote this poem, I was sitting in an armchair in my room, looking through the windows and thinking about a book that I have finished to read just in that moment. I was thinking about the ending of the story and about the little girl that must wait her whole life for her mum, who can never go back home again. I wrote this poem trying to see the picture with the innocent eyes of the child who doesn’t know the truth of the story and keeps the expectation to see her loved people again, without knowing that she is already another innocent victim of a war begun by others and which she isn’t responsible of. I want to give this poem to my sister because she is always there.

RUTH’S POEM:
This is my bad end and then I can hear your voice, calling me, in hell.
This poem hasn’t got a title because I don’t like titles, it is unnecessary. I don’t know why I wrote this poem with this argument, I like this matter and the words left alone. When I have a bad day I think in death a lot. In this poem I talk about hell, it is a joke with my boyfriend because every day I say that I will go to hell because in this place I am not paying for the heating. Death is in every moment in this poem, for other people it isn’t a good matter for a poem, but for me it is very interesting. The voice that I mention in the poem is the help that I need when I am bad, it is my boyfriend’s voice, he is the strength that I need in those moments, and this poem is for him.

CONCLUSION: In this project we learnt some different types of poetry. We learnt to write it, feel it and enjoyed it. We also learnt that poetry could be funny and interesting and that it isn’t bored and sentimental thing that people usually think that it is. We learnt to appreciate and love it.
