Manolito is the son of a trucker and lives a humble life in the working-class quarter of Carabanchel. In 1998 Lindo was awarded the National Award for Children's and Youth Literature.

At night he was sleepy so he went into a stable. In the morning when he woke up, he saw a group of people. They were the police. They held Manolito by his arm and they took him to Cuenca. This story develops in Carabanchel Alto (this is the place), in the 21 century (this is the time) and it happens to a normal family (this is the atmosphere).

The main characters are: - Manolito: he is the protagonist. I imagine Manolito as a naughty, amusing and extrovert child. In the book he says everything that he thinks of. - My favourite book hasn’t got antagonist because the protagonist, Manolito, hasn’t got to fight and he hasn’t got any problem.
