An All-Week Fall Diversity Weekend: Music and Marital Bliss In advance of Fall Diversity Weekend in Eureka Springs (Nov. 1-3), the Eureka Springs Gay Business Guild is bringing back the out-and-proud St. Louis-based singer/songwriter Summer Osborne to perform for the town’s hard-working hospitality employees. Her Oct. 28 show at Voulez-Vous Lounge is scheduled for 7 p.m.
Two other events on Thursday, Oct. 31 will also precede the official Friday kick-off of Fall Diversity Weekend: A Witch’s Hat Ball, starting at 5 p.m. at Eureka Live and an appearance by the region’s most sought-after cover band, the Diversity Band, at 8:30 p.m. at Voulez-Vous.
Multiple weekend events designed to advance the cause of marriage equality in Arkansas are scheduled at a variety of venues, including the Western Carroll County Courthouse where same-sex couples will attempt to apply for marriage licenses.
Related events include a wedding rehearsal dinner at Cafe Amore, a bachelor/ bachelorette party at Voulez-Vous, featuring musical group Big Bad Gina, a wedding brunch at Caribe Restaurante y Cantina, an exchange of vows at the traditional Public Display of Affection at Basin Spring Park and a wedding march on Spring Street, followed by a wedding reception at The Space.
As always, popular nightspots will offer live music, including shows by two localfavorite groups--Mountain Sprout at the New Delhi Cafe and Chasing Nadean at Henri’s Just One More.
