Hot Springs Gay Pride
Minutes of Hot Springs Gay Pride 12 January 2014 The meeting was called to order by President Robert VanHook at 5:13pm with 13 people present. The minutes of last meeting as posted on our Facebook site were approved as posted. The Treasurer, Neil Thomas, reported that we have $262.52 in checking. $111.00 was given to Ouachita Children’s home. $240.00 was to Rosalin Janczewski for HPGP t-shirts and $213.00 for sales at Maxine’s. President Robert VanHook, brought up subject of organizing for 2014. Board will brain storm to define committees. Hot Springs St. Patrick’ s Day Parade was discussed. Wayne Weston agreed to take responsibility of acquiring application for parade. Wayne addressed group on whether to have a float or walk in Parade. President Robert VanHook, suggested we use same float, used in Little Rock Pride Parade. Committee to form to discuss best option. Committee will meet in two was of meeting. We have two more official meetings before parade.
Policy on Social Media was brought up, President Robert VanHook, suggested policy states what criteria group must meet. Hot Springs Gay Pride is asking all members to please keep post subjects relevant to HSGP. Committee Chairman, Alan Vines and committee will decide on policy. Treasurer Neil Thomas, will make media people moderator’s of Facebook page. Vice President Martha Ross, stated that she has more clothes for Ouachita Children’s Home. HSGP will continue to donate on a monthly basis. Conrad Lewis is to follow up with paper on article concerning HSGP donations to children’s home. Trey Weir addressed group with update about volunteer donation drive Feb 9th. HSGP will host a potluck for volunteer’s. Trey, also reminded us about Reproduction Rally and to please attend.
