From September 22nd– 25th individuals and organizations will participate Trans Pride South West to help raise the visibility of transgender and gender non-conforming people, and address the issues these communities face. The main part of the festival will be on 22-25 with a weekend filled with events, art shows and workshops. Real Boy After Party at Thirsty Thursdays, a weekly Trans event held at the Palace in Old Market Quarter’s Gay Village. The Gin Palace is a welcoming environment. The venue has changing facilities for the Trans event and also hosts shopping evenings bringing Trans friendly pop up shops into the venue so people can try out new looks in a safe space. The Phoenix has been prominent to the Bristol Pub scene for generations, since 1850 to be exact! It is still alive and kicking today! Gender Jelly Project presents a set of two creative arts engagement sessions for all young people between the ages of 13-25 who identify as trans, gender creative, gender questioning and gender non conforming.
