“Is a project that invites designers, illustrators and visual artists to express their unique interpretation of the letters and numbers of the Latin alphabet. A yearly open call that explores the creative boundaries of letterforms by challenging participants to design a letter or number each day for 36 consecutive days. The result is a global and simultaneous act that showcases the ability to represent the same symbols from thousands of different perspectives. For each edition, all participants share their artworks via Instagram by uploading their typographic interpretations of each letter and number to their profiles, while using the project’s hashtags plus the daily hashtags to submit their work and enter the challenge. From all the daily entries, a curated selection is handpicked by our team to be published on the 36 Days of Type official account for each day of the challenge up until the end of the edition.”

Where we explore valuable information and resources on drug education. Drug abuse and addiction can have devastating consequences on individuals prevention efforts and educated use crucial. Fortunately, there are many organizations dedicated to providing resources and support who need. In this segment, we'll take a closer look at some of these organizations. So let's dive in and discover the gems of drug prevention!

What are our local community builders dreams made of? Strong harm reduction systems throughout DFW! Which is why the organization DHREAM is perfectly named to represent their goal of uniting and bringing harm reduction efforts to all parts of the metroplex. The acronym stands for Dfw Harm Reduction Education Access Movement and you can find them at @dfwharmredux on instagram and Twitter. DHREAM currently has monthly events in Dallas, Denton, and Fort Worth, as well as occasional events in other suburbs. Events range from setting up tables at local shows and events, to joining forces with orgs like future jewel Mantra Recovery to give back to our houseless communities. At any event you'll find kind and non-judgmental friends answering questions and helping to educate our community on the many ways we can do our part to keep each other safe. You'll also be able to pick up essential supplies like Narcan and condoms (yes, safe sex is harm reduction too;)) and get information on how to check your substances for safety. Whether you need supplies yourself, know someone who does, want to volunteer, donate, or just spread the word, this local gem deserves all of our support! Hope to see y'all shining at their next event and if you've mined another local jewel you'd like to see featured, send it my way!

AFTERNOON TEA WITH POPO

Lexi’s favorite tea was Throat Coat, an organic blend of licorice root, marshmallow root, wild cherry bark, fennel, cinnamon, and orange. Most herbal teas provide immune support. Before I became allergic to ca eine I drank black tea. When Nixon opened up trade with China I was living in New York and able to buy some of the rst Chinese teas imported to the US, I would drink Lapsang Souchong in the morning and Oolong in the afternoon, with just a splash of milk. Hmmm… It was about this time I had begun a morning meditation session and yoga. I joined a group that met on the upper

east side sitting in a dark very crowded room with the heat turned up. Niland, a student of Gurdjie would come and play the piano using chords that were intended to raise consciousness, what we know as binaural beats. Since then, I’ve met with several meditation tradi tions, most Buddhist, that work with being more aware of being aware, what we call the ‘nature of mind.’ This is so helpful since most of the di culties we experience are due to ‘unawareness,’ not recognizing our part in what we’re experiencing.

when in doubt, make gluten free funfetti cupcakes for your gluten free roommate
