Chocolate Peanut Butter Balls This candy reminds you of the Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups. They are worth the work. 3 boxes powdered sugar 3 1/2 cups peanut butter 4 sticks butter, melted 2 -12 oz. pkgs chocolate chips 1/2 square paraffin wax Melt butter, add powered sugar and peanut butter. Work with you hands to blend together. (the bread dough attachment to mixer will work, if you have the attachment). When ingredients are blended form in to 1 inch balls. Place on cookie sheet and chill. Melt chocolate chips and paraffin wax in double boiler. Dip balls in chocolate and place on wire rack until cooled. Or you can cool on waxed paper. Makes large recipe.
Mom’s Chili Recipe 2 lb hamburger meat 1 lb. sausage 2 or 3 cans Brooks chili hot beans 1 can tomato soup 1 onion finely chopped 1 tablespoon garlic 2 tablespoon chili power, or to taste Salt and pepper, to taste For hotter chili add few flakes red pepper flakes 1 tablespoon sugar 3 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce Brown hamburger and sausage, add Worcestershire sauce, onion, garlic, salt, pepper and sugar. Add tomato soup, chili beans one/half can of water can be added if chili is to thick. Bring to boil, then reduce heat to simmer, cook 20 to 30 minutes, stirring often. Serve with with crackers, cheese, onion or spoon over corn chip for a chili pie.
