Hello everyone! The month of October has certainly been a busy month for the PHS Key Club! From Fall Rally to Halloween at the High, our Key Club has certainly had a lot of service activities. This issue will provide updates on those events and many more! Plus, guest writer Katherine Yang makes an appearance! Happy reading! Yang Fu, 2014-2015 Editor

Hello PHS Key Club, Although the first two months of the school year have flown by, we have a lot to accomplish in the coming months! Thanks to everyone to contributed during Halloween at the High--the event was a great success, as around 160 kids attended. Good job to the decorators, trick-or-treaters, face-painters, game-runners, and haunted house committee!! In October, we also began our monthly visits to the Parsippany Daycare. If you would like to volunteer, we visit the kids every 2nd Wednesday of every month--it's a really fun and engaging way to participate in service and get hours!

The next month will be spent mostly in preparation for one of our largest fundraisers, Coffeehouse, which will take place on Thursday, December 4th. Start thinking of acts you want to perform with your friends, whether it be singing, poetry, dramatically reading lyrics to songs, or joke-telling--alone or with friends! It's a fun and relaxing night with snacks and laid-back music. All proceeds go towards Eliminate, which helps to save babies and mothers with maternal neo-natal tetanus in third world countries. Encourage your friends outside of the club to come! Yours in Caring and Service, Lizzie Tu

FALL RALLY 2014 On October 12th, Key Clubbers from throughout the state of New Jersey gathered together at Six Flags. The theme for the 2014 Fall Rally was animation; attendees could dress up in any animated character that they liked. After an informational meeting, Key Clubbers were free to wander around and enjoy the rides at Six Flags. Overall, Fall Rally was a very fun and exciting experience. Key Clubbers had a great time!

HALLOWEEN AT THE HIGH BY KATHERINE YANG | GENERAL MEMBER

Halloween at the High attracted many people this year! It was held on the Thursday before Halloween, October 30. Events included the Haunted House in the auxiliary gym, games such as "Boo Tag" and "Mummy Wrap" as well as face painting in the gym. Key Club members handed out candy to everyone with a generous hand and smile; by the time they left, each child had a bag full of treats and a wide, adorable grin.
