What is Glamping? That is a question that was asked a few times during the seminars at the first ever Glamping
Show in September. Glamping can be anything from bell tents, pods, cabins to more exotic accommodation such
as train carriages or airstreams. It can involve en suite bathroom facilities or a shower block in a field. The fact is
that Glamping can be all manner of experiences and that’s fine – as long as the customer knows what they are
paying for!
The thirst for knowledge among would-be Glamping operators was evident at the show, as people crammed into
our pods to listen to the seminars. “Has the Glamping bubble burst?” was another question I heard during the
show. The answer was clearly a resounding “No!”
