INSPIRATION AND INFORMATION FOR GLAMPING OPERATORS
INTERNATIONAL DIRECTORY 2023/24
Welcome to our March issue! Our sixth edition, this issue acts as our 2023/24 Glamping Suppliers Directory – over 80 pages of the variety of companies serving our industry.
No small feat, our annual Glamping Suppliers Directory is curated throughout the year with the hope that whatever you need, whenever you need it, can be found within these pages.
This edition also contains an index - which you can find at the back - where every company featured is listed by country. It’s easier than ever to locate the equipment you need, from booking software and bathrooms to treehouses and bell tents.
Thank you to everyone who sent us their details and to the companies who have been supporters of International Glamping Business since we first launched the magazine almost nine years ago! It’s been a pleasure to witness the shift of glamping from a festivals-only buzzword, to a diverse and flourishing sector that’s here to stay.
Stay tuned for our next issue where we take a look at the most important areas to consider when setting up a glamping business, with a focus on planning and design, marketing and branding, and a comprehensive guide to cabins, pods and shepherd huts.

CARAVAN SITE EXTENDED WITH SANIFOS UNDERGROUND PUMPS
Welltrough Hall Farm is situated in the beautiful Cheshire countryside. The 270acre working farm is also home to a wellequipped caravan and motorhome park. Established in 2016, the site offers 17 hard standing pitches and is renowned for its excellent facilities.
Nick Welltrough, site owner and manager, is spending the closed season adding extra capacity to cope with continued demand. An additional five hard standing pitches with electrical hook-ups will be available, which will benefit from a more reliable and discreet drainage system thanks to the installation of a new Sanifos 610 underground pump from Saniflo. The unit will also take waste from seven existing pitches, as well as a WC block and Elsan point.
Nick initially saw the unit on the Plastic Solutions stand at The Glamping Show UK in Stoneleigh, which he visited to gather ideas for a more reliable and discreet pumping solution. “I was using a macerator pump to take the waste from the hillside pitches but it was failing regularly because of wet wipes being flushed away - which stopped the grinder from working,” Nick says. “This was not a product fault, because the unit isn’t designed to flush wet wipes. Unfortunately, customers didn’t notice our signs mentioning this. Because I wanted to add further pitches and another Elsan point,
it made sense to source an alternative. This was also an opportunity to make the whole drainage process more discreet and remove the storage tanker from site.”
The Sanifos underground lifting station was on display at the Plastic Solutions stand, and the enquiry passed to the Saniflo team. A site survey was undertaken to scope out the job, and the 610 litre Sanifos with a vortex discharge system was recommended to overcome the issue of wet wipes. Nick has now installed the unit underground and connected it to the existing pipework for the original plots, toilet block and Elsan tipping point. Multiple connection points on the unit ensure that the new facilities can be connected as soon as they are ready.
The unit pumps up a bank approximately 10m and along a distance of almost 200m horizontally to connect to the main sewer. To ensure continuity of service, it has two pumps and is fully alarmed. In the event of one pump breaking down, the Sanifos will continuously use the other until the issue is sorted. So far, the pump has worked perfectly and once the final connections from the new pitches are made, Nick will landscape its location to ensure that only the lid is visible and accessible for maintenance.
“The Sanifos won’t be visible to customers - which was a key priority. We have alpacas
and rare breed goats, woodland walks, breathtaking views of the countryside and now we have a drainage solution that offers total peace of mind. I am very pleased with the solution.”
Plastic Solutions is a sales partner of Saniflo. The company manufactures and sells robust and durable plastic storage tanks including the Glampsan brand for the leisure sector. Saniflo pumps complement the tanks, offering an efficient pumping solution for waste discharge.

GLAMPSAN – WASTE & WATER DISPOSAL SYSTEMS
Glampsan is a market-leading supplier of a host of water and waste solutions for glamping, caravanning, tenting and leisure sites – backed up by its passion for customer service and a well-earned reputation for taking every enquiry seriously and offering a consultancy-style approach to helping customers. That’s where Glampsan comes in: after all, our name comes from glamping sanitation.
At one end of the range, we provide composting, separating and low volume flush toilets, which tick plenty of green credential boxes by reducing water consumption. These use no water at all, and our brand new “Propelair” product flushes with a combination of air and just 1½ litres of water per visit - especially attractive to eco-conscious sites.
We also manufacture simple waste collection tanks - above or below ground - to capture grey and black water for later
removal by a waste collection company. Collection tanks are particularly suitable if you can supply water for flushing toilets, washing and showers, but can’t access a mains sewer for the resultant waste.
If you want to avoid storing waste in a collection tank, you might need a sewage lifting station to pump waste across your site, perhaps to an existing septic tank or a mains sewer. We partner with Saniflo® for their range of sewage lifting stations, offering a fantastic solution for the glamping industry.
At the top end of the waste handling range is a sewage treatment plant, formerly known as a septic tank. For the glamping sector we concentrate our efforts on the typical sizes required by smaller glamping sites. These 2, 3 and 5 person Portapura®
units are designed and manufactured in the UK specifically for glamping sites, holiday homes, static caravans, site offices, site toilets, garden rooms and small leisure developments. Brand new from Glampsan in 2023 is our CampPlus range of en-suite bathroom pods. For camping and touring site applications in the main, these units allow you to offer an upgrade to guests: camping with style with their own private en-suite! These units will allow you to extend the rental season, bringing in revenue when other sites are shut.

GLAMPING PODS AND SAUNAS: A PERFECT MATCH FOR THE MODERN CAMPER
Gone are the days of roughing it in a tent and braving the elements on a camping trip. Today’s camper has a new option: glamping pods and relaxation amenities such as saunas. These unique accommodations provide the perfect blend of the great outdoors with modern comfort and amenities.
Glamping pods are small, prefabricated structures that offer a cozy, cabin-like experience. They typically come equipped with a bed, some type of kitchenette, and a sitting area. The pods offer the perfect solution for those who want to camp but don’t want to give up their creature comforts. They provide a comfortable and convenient base camp for exploring the surrounding area.
Saunas, on the other hand, are a classic Nordic tradition that has been enjoyed for centuries. They offer a place to relax, unwind, and rejuvenate after a long day of outdoor activity. Saunas come in a variety of sizes and styles, that are perfect for any glamping resort. Whether you’re camping alone or with a group, a sauna is the perfect way to unwind and recharge.
The combination of glamping pods and saunas provides the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. With a glamping pod as your base camp, you can explore the great outdoors, while the sauna provides a place to relax and rejuvenate after a long day of adventure. The combination of the two offers a truly unique and luxurious camping experience.
A big benefit of glamping pods and saunas is their eco-friendliness. Both types of structures are designed with sustainability in mind. These Glamping pods are often made from cedar that come from
sustainable and approved forests. Saunas typically use wood-fired stoves, which are a sustainable source of heat and energy.
If you’re looking for a unique and luxurious camping experience, look no further than glamping pods and saunas. They offer the perfect combination of modern comfort and the great outdoors. Whether you’re camping alone or with a group, these unique accommodations will provide a truly unforgettable experience. So pack your bags, grab your hiking boots, and get ready for the ultimate camping adventure?

CONSIDERING STARTING OR EXPANDING A GLAMPING BUSINESS?
At Cedar Tree Pods, we design and manufacture beautiful glamping pods and gorgeous bespoke buildings for the UK luxury holiday market.
With clever and innovative designs and an ever-present ethos of building to the very highest standards, and with the best available materials, we carefully consider each build to make sure it is as aesthetically stunning as it is user-friendly and durable.
We understand that there is a careful balance that is needed between a beautiful and well-appointed building that will “wow” your potential customers, and the need for it to be well built, highly durable and easily serviceable for years to come.
All our buildings come with a 10-year structural warranty as well as a workmanship guarantee as standard, although we expect our pods to last decades – not years.
We have witnessed a rapid growth in the glamping industry over the last 5+ years we have been involved, and see no signs of it slowing down; now seems to be as good a time as any to start or grow your glamping business.
The notable shift we have seen recently is for more luxurious pods and higher build quality, along with finding a way to have a unique edge.
Mike, Founder, CEO and Head of Design, uses his 20+ years as a carpenter as well as the extensive knowledge of the team around him to try and achieve this at every level of the business.
With our newly expanded workshop and team, we have the capability to build up to 100 pods a year. This means we can offer good lead and delivery times on your project from our skilled workshop team.
As well as this, we are just about to open our new bespoke project workshop. Here, we will have a dedicated team of expert craftsmen and women to build truly exceptional custom and bespoke leisure buildings. From shepherd’s
lodges and roundhouses, to one of a kind bespoke cabins that will make you stand head and shoulders above the competition.
If you would like to see how we can help you realise your dream of starting a glamping business, or how we can help you take your existing business to the next level then please get in touch with us. We would love to have a chat and ideally get you here to our workshops in rural North Wales to go through your ideas and discuss the best way of making it a reality.

WANDERLUST CAMPING CLUB – CERTIFIED
SITE MEMBERSHIPS
Do I need planning permission for my campsite?
Depending on your location and the kind of setup you want, you may not require planning permission. It may be worth exploring the exemption route to see if you can become a certified site. By becoming part of an exempted organisation, you could potentially negate the need for planning.
Wanderlust Camping Club continues to encourage new camping and glamping sites across the country.
“The extra cash being spent by visitors supports the local economy. We speak to so many farmers who have no choice but
to diversify just to survive and camping is usually their preferred choice. The government is fully supportive of such diversification, but local planning authorities can often stifle such plans for nonsensical reasons or routine box ticking.”
(Matthew Kerry of Wanderlust Camping Club)
Certified sites must be of a temporary nature. When camping activities come to an end, the land should be returned to its former state. Any glamping units trading year round can stay in place so long as they are being consistently used. Shepherd huts and pods must meet the legislation of what constitutes a caravan to be permitted under
“Suitable sites would be well screened and away from other properties. Highly visible sites or sites next to other housing would not usually be appropriate. It is possible to consult with neighbours who would be adversely affected. If you have lived in the area a long time you would have a much stronger case than somebody who has purchased a field near to local residents. In this instance we rarely receive positive feedback.“
“We are currently encouraging touring sites. If you are a touring site with one of the major clubs and are unhappy with the advertising restrictions we may be able to help. Wanderlust Camping Club does not have such restrictions in place, so you are able to use any booking platform you wish.”

WHY CHOOSE EKODOME FOR YOUR GLAMPING RESORT?
According to the North American Glamping Report 2022, cabins are still the most preferred accommodation style during a glamping trip. So why would you settle with a tent? Ekodome Geodesic Dome structures are prefabricated, modular glamping units that can be easily set up like a tent, and offer less maintenance costs.
Incredible Versatility
Create a true escape and a unique experience for your guests. Our glamping domes come in multiple sizes and offer high flexibility with a wide selection of interior and exterior colours. We even offer unique features like doors, window frames, and vents so that you can truly deck your dome out.
Low Maintenance
Each triangle has a separate solid cover, this independence means, if you need replacement, you replace just one piece, not
the whole cover. Powder-coated aluminium frame is corrosion free, with a warranty of 10 years.
All-weather
To keep the dome temperature controlled, insulated panels can effectively keep the space comfortable year-round. Cover panels have an insulation capacity of R-24, so with a small wood-stove you can create a warm and safe atmosphere for your valuable guests.
Unmatched Durability
You’ve likely seen domes that are easy to pop up but are lightweight, sometimes flimsy material. With strong winds or snowfall, these domes don’t stand a chance. With our domes, this is simply not the case. Ekodome buildings are designed to last. Our frames are made of 100% aluminium, which is one of the longest-lasting materials in existence. Then, for those who select
our customisable panels, you’ll experience incredible durability and resistance to extreme weather conditions, fire, and even pests.
Our domes are also designed to withstand earthquakes and other natural disasters, including category-five hurricanes. The materials used are of the highest quality, ensuring that the building will remain in great condition for many years to come. When you invest in an Ekodome, you can rest assured that your space will retain its impeccable condition, no matter the outdoor conditions.
Effortless Assembly and Dismantling
Simple assembly and dismantling is the name of the game at Ekodome. By reducing the need for hired work, we’ve ensured that our domes are cost-effective in all aspects, not just the materials. Our domes are intentionally designed to be easily disassembled, making it easy to move or relocate the building to a new location. Wherever your next adventure takes you, your dome can follow suit.
Visit our website at www.ekodome.com and discover our world of geodesic domes. Experience cutting-edge technology and design that will revolutionise the way you dream about your resort. Our expert team members can guide you in your search for your perfect glamping structure.

BECAUSE
YOU NEED MORE THAN A TENT.
TRUDOMES - AWARD WINNING, ALL-SEASON PERFORMANCE DOMES
British dome manufacturer TruDomes has won multiple industry awards and grown a global presence with a combination of design expertise, innovation and marketleading material quality.
Made in the company’s factory in England, TruDomes’ range of luxury domes are designed and built to stand the test of time in the most demanding environments, from the Swedish ice lakes, to the Andalusian mountains and tropical Asia. Unlike more cumbersome glamping solutions, their geodesic structures can be set up in the most remote locations and provide unrivalled strength, enhanced with aircraft-grade aluminium frames which are capable of handling high wind speeds.
Providing all-season performance, the domes are ideal for those seeking a yearround yield. Their 650 g/m² PVC shell with a lacquered finish can withstand extreme weather, resisting temperatures as low as -40ºC and as high as 70ºC. Triplelined foil insulation and optional fuel burners keep interiors toasty.
TruDomes customers appreciate the domes’ in-built durability which minimises maintenance and running costs
in comparison to inferior rival products. Shells are UV resistant to prevent discolouration – particularly important on the signature panoramic window sections - while the aluminium frames are robust and rust-free. Most glamping businesses value the green credentials that TruDomes offer: the 100% recyclability of their aluminium (the metal with the lowest carbon footprint), their impressive energy efficiency and their ability to accommodate solar panels on multiple angles across the surface.
Solar panels are one of many optional, customisable extras available. The team takes great pride in collaborating with customers to bring their vision to life. TruDomes’ attention to detail, passion for product development and design versatility open up numerous possibilities which go beyond the scope of massproducing competitors. A choice of nonstandard shell colours, portholes for pets, blackout-lined curtains, wet room showers and solid wood doors are just a few of countless combinations available.
Domes can be installed with an air con unit to keep them cool. For offgrid glampsites, a solar extraction fan is an economical option to optimise
temperature and comfort. It also supports natural ventilation and efficient air circulation, preventing the build-up of moisture and condensation. Roll-up windows allow fresh air to enter the dome without opening doors.
TruDomes launched its first dome at the 2017 Glamping Show. Since then, the company has racked up a series of accolades: Outdoor Accommodation of the Year in the 2019 Luxury Travel Guide Lifestyle Awards, Glampitect’s Best Dome Manufacturer in 2021, and Best Glamping Manufacturer with an Excellence in Customer Service Award by Lux Life in 2022.
Rapid success in Continental Europe has been mirrored across the Atlantic following the launch of a North American division – including a warehouse in Salt Lake City, Utah, stocked with a range of domes ready to ship anywhere on the continent. TruDomes have been busy helping clients throughout the USA and Canada as they prepare for the 2023 season, offering a fast turnaround from order and a quick return on investment.

Alongside it, try revenue-boosting softwood nets, full of easier-to-light and quick-burning wood that encourages repeat purchase. Priced at just £3.10 per net, this wood quickly catches a customer’s eye.
But then there is also the 2022 best-selling Fire Starter Cube, another carefully selected collection of necessary ancillary items to fuel any flame-focused outdoor experience. Comprising quality kindling, six eco wood wool firelighters and matches, it’s a quick impulse purchase for those seeking a weekend of al fresco fun. CERTAINLY WOOD - TOP TIPS TO COMPLY WITH FIRE REGULATIONS
As the new camping and glamping season fast approaches, many people will be preparing their wood burning stoves, firepits, pizza ovens and, of course, checking their stocks of firewood and supplementary products.
You may be aware that recently the government published its 5-year review of its Environment Plan and it was comforting to read that they are certainly not looking to ban wood burning stoves – but they do want to ensure emissions from wood burning are significantly reduced and they will be looking to further tighten standards. For the first time, they have specifically mentioned outdoor burning and so there is increasing focus in this
area. Don’t get caught out! Here are some tips to help you comply:
If installing new wood burning stoves, ensure they are Ecodesign compliant. This will provide the maximum efficiency in terms of minimal particulate emissions.
If you have existing stoves, they are still fine to use, but ensure they have had their annual inspection by an approved fitter, and that the chimney and flue are swept by an approved chimney sweep. You may find that your insurance becomes null and void if you don’t undertake annual inspections. Check your carbon monoxide monitors too, where fitted in enclosed areas.
Only buy firewood which is approved under the Woodsure Ready to Burn scheme. It is against the law to sell firewood in England which is not Ready to Burn approved. Scotland and Wales have not yet made it law, but its better that you are ahead of the game. This guarantees the firewood is dried to below 20% moisture content which equals less smoke and particulate emissions. We have a fantastic range of firewood products to suit all budgets and ecocredentials. We even have a plastic free range – our plastic log bags are made using a min of 30% recycled material and are fully recyclable. We believe these bags still have their place as they keep the product dry, are easy to recycle and take up far less space when empty. Finally, try out new and unique KindleFlamer natural firelighters – a game changer as no kindling is required!

THE GUEST EXPERIENCE AND WHY IT MATTERS TO BEING FULLY BOOKED
We’ve all probably heard the phrase “guest experience” – but what does it actually mean? And why does it matter to you and your glamping business?
What is guest experience?
Ultimately, guest experience does what it says on the tin: it’s the experience that guests have at your place. It’s the amenities, the local area, the added extras, all wrapped up into one big bundle, including:
n Communications they receive
n The ease with which they arrive at and settle in
n The level of welcome they feel
n How well they’re able to find things to do and how much fun they have doing them
n How smooth the check-out process is
n Why glampsites care about guest experiences
It’s pretty simple, really: if you can ace the guest experience, you’re more likely to see returning guests, 5-star reviews, and wordof-mouth referrals.
If you can build a reputation for providing a stellar guest experience through personalised communications, efficient operations, and a warm welcome, your brand carries this with it wherever you go. That’s what we call return on investment.
3 ways to improve your guest experience
Know who your guest is
If you know guests are visiting you, you can tailor the experience you provide to the stay that they’re imagining. For example, save your guests packing everything, welcome them with marshmallows and toasting sticks, and let them know to expect them. It’s these little touches that’ll make them feel welcome and special from the get-go.
Provide a personalised guest experience Move beyond transactional communications. Use your post-booking communications to gather some specific insights into each set of guests and to maintain excitement about their stay. Are they coming to celebrate a birthday, anniversary, or quality family time.
Whatever the reason, leave a personalised welcome note. There’s no need to draft a new one each time. You can simply create a template and leave room for a few details specific to each guest’s stay. Just sign it off by hand.
Repeat your communications
Get communications right and you’ll welcome guests who already feel prepared, informed, and excited for their stay. But not every guest will have the chance to see, read or respond to everything. Plus different people respond to different forms of communication.
n In the lead up to their stay, they’re busy n By the time they arrive, they’re in holiday mode and don’t want to have to think too hard
So, your communications need to be friendly yet succinct, emphasising only the crucial details. And don’t be afraid to repeat yourself (or say the same thing more than once, in a slightly different way or via a different means - email, SMS, card in the mail, phone call).
Ace the guest experience
If you can anticipate your guests’ questions and serve them the answers before they even ask, you’re well on your way to providing an exceptional guest experience. Touch Stay’s digital glamping welcome books allow you to share the right information, at the right time, with the right people – and visitors have all the information they need at their fingertips.

FRIAR BEST INSURANCE SERVICES
Friar Best Insurance Services Ltd are proud to have been in business for the past 20 years, and with the ever-changing landscape of how the insurance industry operates, they appreciate it is not always easy to find an insurance provider who understands the Glamping industry, and the diverse risks that it involves.
Specialising in insurance for the socially and environmentally conscious sectors of life, Friar Best Insurance Services are pleased to offer their exclusive, bespoke, and flexible insurance facility to meet insurance protection needs for the vast array of Glamping sites.
The company has always believed in providing that all-important consistent personal and professional service for insurances where clients, and prospective clients, can personally speak to an insurance expert who understands site owners’ Glamping risks.
It can be advisable to obtain advice on specific risk factors to help with risk management of Glamping sites which, in turn, is not only beneficial from an insurance perspective, but helps to secure the longer-term business aims
and objectives of site owners by having the right insurance protection in place.
Where required, and which can be due to site owners’ financial constraints at a particular time, insurances can be arranged to just provide the vital protection against potential liability claims being made against site owners. Such claims can be devastating for any business. Even if a liability claim should not succeed where there is no evidence of negligence on behalf of site owners, having insurance can give some peace of mind by
the fact that insurers deal with all the claim aspects, including legalities, alleviating site owners of the anguish these can cause.
If arranging insurance cover for just liabilities, additional cover for loss or damage to accommodation structures and facilities can be added at any time during the period of insurance.

WEEDINGTECH: FOAMSTREAM REDEFINING HERBICIDE-FREE WEED CONTROL
As the world’s leading organically certified solution for the complete non-chemical control of weeds and moss, Foamstream from Weedingtech is redefining herbicide-free weed control.
Since Foamstream launched in 2011, the controversy around ingredients such as glyphosate has continued to grow, and with legislative changes and public pressure to reduce chemical usage, it is unsurprising that eco-friendly solutions are witnessing a surge in popularity.
Customers from all corners of green space management are now discovering the many benefits Foamstream offers – not just for
vegetation control, but for outdoor cleaning tasks including gum removal, power washing and sanitisation.
Its patented low-pressure process combines hot water and a biodegradable foam, made from natural plant oils and sugars, delivered through one of Weedingtech’s industry-leading machines. The active ingredient is the hot water, with the foam acting as an ‘insulation blanket’, preventing the heat from escaping and keeping the water in the ‘kill zone’ (temperatures of 57oC and above) for longer. The heat penetrates the waxy outer layer of the leaf, travels down the stem and into the roots – killing or severely damaging the plant and causing it to die. In addition to eradicating the
plant, Foamstream also sterilises surrounding seeds and spores that haven’t yet germinated, helping to reduce future weed growth.
In 4 separate trials conducted by the University of Athens, the overall efficacy of hot foam used to treat a wide range of broadleaf weeds - including species that can be difficult to control by conventional methods - was found to be comparable to that of glyphosate. It was concluded that Foamstream provided an eco-friendly and effective alternative, outperforming other non-chemical methods which only provided a moderate level of weed control.
The combination of hot water and foam has proven so efficient that fewer treatment cycles are required per year, reducing labour and overhead costs. Suitable for year-round applications, the all-natural ingredients also mean it is safe for applications around people, animals and sensitive environments including water courses.
Units are available to purchase via a nationwide distribution network or direct via Weedingtech – where a new rental service is also now available. For more information about how Foamstream can transform your approach to vegetation management, visit www.weedingtech.com

Caravan Park Electrical Services (CPES) are your number one provider for electrical distribution systems throughout the leisure industry – from glamping retreats to holiday parks, we really do have something to suit your needs!
Our vast portfolio incorporates multiple configurations of connection units and multi service bollards. A popular choice amongst many of our glamping customers is the TT1F Unmetered Connection Unit. This electrical connection point is ideal for a site looking to provide power to their customers where there is no requirement for metering. The TT1F is complete with a 16A side socket outlet and reset flap housing the RCBO which provides the unit with earth leakage, overload and short circuit protection – all from one 2-pole device.
A further product range within our evergrowing portfolio is high and low level lighting. With the latest hot topic amongst many of our customers being ways in which running costs can be reduced, it seems fitting to highlight our solar lighting collection. The Woodhall Street Light is our highlevel solar option which has a mounting height range of 3-6 meters. The LED light automatically switches ‘on’ at dusk and ‘off’
CPESYOUR NO.1 PROVIDER FOR ELECTRICAL DISTRIBUTION SYSTEMS
at dawn, during its ‘on’ hours, it operates at 30% brightness until the motion sensor is activated, whereby it will switch to 100% light and back down to 30% once movement has stopped.
The low-level option within this range is the Spalding Bollard which is zero emission and, like the Woodhall, has zero energy running costs due to being powered by the natural sunlight. Choosing this option makes for an easy and low-cost installation as there’s no
need for trenches and cables! Both options are manufactured using the very latest solarpower technology providing long-lasting illumination, even throughout the darkest winters!

Quality of finish and attention to detail are the two areas that we have been most impressed with. INTO THE WILD UK - LUXURIOUS AND DURABLE TRADITIONAL SHEPHERD HUTS
A family-run business based in the East Midlands, Into the Wild UK is proud to produce luxury shepherd huts at competitive prices. Each hut is built by highly experienced designers and tradesmen, who are passionate about creating beautiful and practical spaces at affordable prices, giving their customers a competitive edge in the market.
Whilst the glamping market has seen a boom in recent years, the shepherd hut has become ever more popular due to its history as a traditional farming hut - making it a sympathetic building in most landscapes,
but also the advantages of its durability, movability and comfort.
Shepherd huts have been used since the 15th century by shepherds during the lambing season, mainly built by the farm hands and towed into position by horse. The designs vary, but all were constructed to provide the shepherd with practical and durable accommodation. The old huts had a stove in one corner for warmth and cooking, and a window on each side so the shepherd could see the flock. A hinged stable door, always positioned away from the prevailing wind,
enabled them to hear the flock, and strong axles with cast iron wheels were used to withstand the movement from field to field.
Today, the shepherd hut has been given a luxury overhaul but its practicality and durability is the key to its success as increasingly popular glamping accommodation. Shepherd huts are a great investment and have the benefit of being mobile, providing the flexibility similar to safari and bell tents but without the seasonal limitations, maintenance and replacement costs.
Into the Wild UK has a range of beautifully built shepherd huts complete with sleeping, kitchen, dining and ensuite facilities as standard. Priced extremely competitively, Into the Wild UK’s huts start from just £29,000, meaning its customers see a return on their investment sooner, without compromising on quality. Into the Wild UK have extensive planning experience and are often able to help buyers facilitate their dream of owning a glamping site.

DYESTER – A DOME AWAY FROM HOME
Dyester Corp launched in 2007, selling container homes before Founder Barry Sendach started building domes. “When I found the domes, I thought they were really cool,” Barry Sendach said, sharing that he later began buying, selling, and then marketing the unique structures.
Through Domespaces, the unique outdoor structure brand provides every kind of dome possible.
Waterproof, wind-resistant and snowresistant, the glamping structures come in various sizes and materials. With some interior design and installation of basic
amenities, each geodesic building transforms into a dome away from home. Because the domes can be customised and are scalable, they can be used for different purposes.
“Our mantra is to offer a variety of different types of domes so that we could fill the voids that people want,” Sendach said. Variations such as polycarbonate domes, fibreglass domes, glass domes, PVC and steel domes, treehouse domes, glamping domes are now used by gyms, restaurants, and many more.
As the company grows, it continues to adapt and strives to fill in the gaps. Part of this effort is to address the demand as soon as
possible. To make this a reality, Domespaces is introducing an in-stock program beginning this year for clients who want ready units.
“That way, somebody doesn’t want to wait. They could just take it, and they’ll have it shipped right away,” he said. Domes are typically made to order and take a couple of weeks to produce — usually about an eightweek turnaround, as per Sendach.
The glamping industry has seen a boom in recent years as more people are looking for unique and luxurious camping experiences. However, the competition in the market is fierce, and suppliers are constantly challenged to find new ways to stand out. Shipping and handling costs have also risen sharply, making it difficult to turn a profit.
Despite these challenges, the popularity of glamping shows no signs of slowing. For Domespaces, the demand meant shipping a record number of domes in the past two years. The company also continues to address the demand by expanding its range of glamping structures.

CREATIVE STRUCTURES – THE CROSSOVER LODGE
Crossover Lodge is a product registered by Creative Structures. Creative Structures has over 13 years of experience producing and distributing luxury tent structures for the highend event, hospitality, and recreation industries.
The Crossover Lodges are based on the ‘Crossover,’ one of Creative Structures’ existing structures. The solid structure is made out of high-quality aluminium tubes, strong galvanised steel connectors, stainless steel cables and PVC cover to ensure extra strength and rigidity. The structures, and therefore the Crossover Lodges, are TÜV certified and offer protection against the most extreme weather conditions. They are resistant to temperatures from -20/-30ºC to +70ºC and up to wind force 80/100 km/h.
Luxurious Lodging
Crossover Lodge B.V. introduced the luxurious Crossover Lodge Large in 2021, a 68 m2 glamping lodge for up to 5 people. The different configuration options also make it suitable as a very spacious and luxurious accommodation for couples. The Lodge can be delivered fully furnished, including the solid wall system, bedrooms, kitchen, bathroom with toilet and rain shower, and in and outdoor furniture. After the success of the Large family lodge, an expansion followed. In September 2022, the Crossover Lodge Medium was launched. With 49 m2, the Crossover Lodge Medium is a popular size glamping tent. The Medium, just like the Large, is luxurious and comfortable. It has a generous living area with a box spring, a kitchen, and a fully equipped bathroom with a toilet and rain shower. The combination of pure
luxury and being outside in nature reduces stress. The perfect getaway for those seeking privacy and luxury in a unique location!
Since the introduction of the Crossover Lodge Medium, you can opt for a ready-touse ‘Bathroom Unit’ instead of a separate bathroom frame. The Bathroom Unit contains a fully equipped bathroom and will be placed in its entirety in the lodge. Literally ‘plug & play’.
Crossover Lodge Medium and Large are a luxurious and unique experience in nature. Truly a wonderful addition to any recreational project! The lodges are offered in various packages so that the lodge can be set up according to the customer’s wishes.

With scalable flexibility from the first sketch through to turnkey solutions, our team of tent-tensile architects, engineers, technicians, lightweight building specialists and logistics experts will bring your vision to life.
INTEGRATED SERVICES

TENT ARCHITECTURE AND TECHNICAL DESIGN:
Concept Realisation
Our expert technical design team work closely with client and their design consultants to: set out the basis of design, develop roof forms and facade concepts, consider interfacing, static and dynamic membrane conflicts, propose passive and low energy comfort opportunities, produce preliminary structural schematics and visualisations.
Structural Design
To ensure well integrated design, our engineers follow a structural plan of work and precise design parameters. Working closely with appointed Engineers of Record, design reports, survey and reaction load information are issued. To ensure optimal lightweight design, the textile systems, top structure and anchoring are all engineered congruently and specified for long term performance.
Fabrication & Assembly
After the structural concept, analysis and specification are complete and approved, the textile surfaces are meticulously detailed and patterned for confection. The membrane tension systems and compression support structures are solid modelled in advanced parametric software and outputs produced for workshop and assembly.
SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT:
Resourcing - Erp System Control THS management teams monitor projects by accessing real-time information about production and distribution. This permits proactive responses and decision-making as the project requires.
The automated tracking process maintains resource allocation, ensuring deliverables are met on time, within budget, and without compromising on quality.

ON-SITE SERVICES:
Site Planning
Design and Site management work closely with the appointed general contractor to ensure accurate site set-out, assembly, and integration of the structures into the full project build.
Site Set-Outs And Surveys
Site surveys are conducted to ensure the best-considered fit of the tent design into the terrain, topography, and surroundings. Survey information is relayed to the design team to assess tolerances, adapt designs where necessary, and generate final structural layouts.
Site Supervision, Rigging, And Fitment
Experienced technical supervisors, qualified tensile riggers, and trained finishing artisans are provided, specific to the site and installation requirements.
Maintenance
Regular maintenance inspections by THScertified technicians and camp management, following cleaning and maintenance guidelines, will contribute to the longevity of the client’s tensile assets.

Extend the Season - NEW insulating canvas!
YALA always seeks new innovations to help its clients run their glamping businesses successfully. Extending the season is a hot topic for everyone. In collaboration with industry experts, YALA developed a unique
three-layer insulating canvas with a global fire safety rating, and a thermal level (R-value) of 4.18m2 K/W. The inner and outer layers consist of a flame-retardant canvas. The middle layer is a hollow polyester fibre. The insulated canvas works both ways; it can keep the heat inside the tent, and in warmer climates it retains the cold air with airconditioning.

Almost everything we offer is now present in the showroom, from a safari tent with an open kitchen and practical layout to a lodge with a slide for the children,” Robin continued. “The styling is also taken care of down to the last detail, so our customers get the real ‘glamping feeling’ and an idea of the product they may want to purchase.” During the opening, the latest innovation was presented.
Year-round glamping: the insulated Thermo tent
Outstanding believes it is important to keep developing. With this innovative concept, the supplier is responding to the increasing demand for year-round rental accommodation. “During the development of our innovative
Thermo tent, we considered three pillars: insulation, tent experience, and price:quality ratio,” said Robin. Due to the insulation between the inner and outer tent, a Thermo tent heats up less in the summer than a safari tent. In the winter, it provides protection against the cold. The insulated tent is based on Outstanding’s most popular glamping tent, the Safari tent Wood. The Thermo tent Wood will be available from September 2023.
360-degree showroom tour
Curious? Outstanding has developed a 360-degree showroom tour. If you are unable to visit in the Netherlands, this is the perfect way to take a virtual stroll through from the comfort of your own home. All models can be seen at www.outstandingtent.com/360-tour.

RAINIER OUTDOOR – HANDCRAFTED PREMIUM STRUCTURES
Rainier Outdoor is your home for handcrafted yurts, canvas cottages, canvas tents and teepees. We have been providing premium quality products to customers since 1896.
The Eagle yurt, our premium, luxury model is the most beautiful and reliable yurt on the market. With sizes ranging from 16’ to 33’ diameter, the rafters are made from hand-selected Douglas Fir and side walls are constructed in individual sections, making them easily interchangeable onsite. All fabrics, side wall and roof membrane are resistant to UV rays and water, and are mildew resistant and flame retardant. The standard Eagle yurt can reach up to 210 psf, and is engineered to withstand 115+ MPH wind.
The Raven yurt is built to the same standards as the Eagle, but value engineered for affordability – in sizes ranging 16’ to 30’ diameter. Rafters are made from Douglas Fir wood that is kiln-dried, sanded smooth and then finished with natural oil. The side wall is one continuous piece, requiring window placements to be determined at time of order. Standard Raven yurts can reach excess of 150 psf, and are engineered to withstand 115+ MPH wind.
Rainier Outdoor’s Canvas Tents use only premium materials. Army Duck fabric is
highly water repellent, while breathable. It is a tightly woven, 100% cotton duck that’s cool in the summer and warm in the winter. When it rains, the fibers swell to make the tent even more water repellent.
Our Lakedale Cottages combine the features of our Wall Tents and Yurts in one cost-effective shelter. Every cottage features a durable Douglas Fir frame, fabric shell made of Army Duck canvas (FR, MA, WR), up to two doors and six windows with different design options, and a vinyl rain fly. Choose from a variety
A design centuries ahead of its time, the teepee is the ultimate mobile shelter built to withstand all weather extremes. Army Duck fabric gives your teepee longer life, as it’s treated for mildew resistance and flame retardant. Seams are double needled and lapped to shed water down the slope. Our teepees are made with brass grommet pinning holes, staking loops and reinforced corners on all smoke flaps.

TUBBO RECEIVES AN INNOVATION AWARD AT THE RENOWNED SETT 2022
The glamping world has been improved thanks to Tubbo’s innovation and their “in & out” experience. This solution has addressed many of the challenges that come with luxury accommodation in the midst of nature.
Thanks to the window design, Tubbo has managed to offer a unique experience that allows guests to enjoy both the luxury interior and immerse themselves in the natural experience through their transparent structures.
Tubbo started in 2009, designing panoramic structures for ski lift conveyor belts. Since then, they have expanded their presence in many other markets, including hotels, restaurants, cruise terminals, airports, shopping centers, playgrounds, gyms, and spas. Currently, Tubbo has installations throughout most of Europe.
At Sett 2022, Tubbo presented the ultimate luxury suite, merging privacy and immersion in the natural environment. With a unique design that includes a bathroom, wardrobe, bedroom, and living room, Tubbo is currently the most exclusive “starlight” experience, with extremely easy and economical maintenance.
Another unique feature of Tubbo is its mimetic ability. Through prints or vinyls, the stay can resemble a continuation of the forest, a meadow, or a snow-covered mountain, helping to preserve authentic landscapes and experiences.
Tubbo is built with high-quality materials such as polycarbonate, which gives it high resistance and proven durability in extreme conditions. Climate control is essential, and Tubbo has different solutions to ensure
maximum comfort, including windows, shades, heating, and air conditioning – as well as a series of translucent vinyls, blinds, and curtains to offer the appropriate balance between transparency and privacy. Its versatility allows it to transform into a restaurant, gym, spa, or any other need, ensuring profitability. Permits and licenses for the installation of a Tubbo are simple and specific to ephemeral constructions and terraces, without the need for construction work.
The Tubbo solution is sustainable, with 98% of its materials being reusable or recyclable.
As for the price, Tubbo is in line with other similar quality solutions in the market. In addition, delivery times range from 1 to 3 months, thanks to their own stock.
Tubbo is a leader in panoramic, robust, and high-quality structures since 2009 that have adapted to the world of unique accommodation to offer an innovative and aesthetically novel experience that seeks a quality integration with nature. Offers an effective balance between transparency and privacy that has earned them The Innovation Award at Sett, Tourism Equipment and Techniques Trade Fair in Montpellier, thus consolidating themselves as an idea that has been conceived and worked on for many years to expand the possibilities of transparent structures. ARE YOU HSG282 COMPLIANT?
Health and Safety Guideline 282 (HSG282) came into effect in early 2017. The main aim of the introduction was to reduce the risk of Legionella outbreaks associated with spas and hot tubs. The
situations. Section 5 of the guideline focuses on water testing with the following emphasis:
n Reducing the risk of Legionella and microbiological contamination Emphasizing that this is the operator’s
Ensuring testing is frequent and planned (at least three times a day) Highlighting that results should be
Stressing that there should be a written action plan if required
The Lovibond® Professional Pool and Spa Photometer Kit enable the operator to measure all the tests mentioned in HSG282 from one case. Contained within the kit is an MD 100 Professional Photometer for the measurement of chlorine, bromine and pH and an SD 80 Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) Pen. Importantly, the kit measures both chlorine and bromine so, if different disinfectants are used across your site, the same kit will cover both.
All kits are supplied complete and ready to use. They use premeasured reagents which when added to the hot tub or pool water sample form a colour the intensity of which is proportional to the amount of substance being tested. A typical test procedure would be
n Take a sample of the water to be tested in a sample cell, place it in a photometer and zero the unit
n Add tablet reagents and allow the colour to develop
n Return cell to photometer and read
n Record results and take appropriate action
FREE HSG282 Training Course
Each HSG282 test kit purchased receives access to our FREE online training course!
The training course covers:
n What is HSG282?
n What to test for and why?
n Correct Sampling
n Overview of pH, TDS, Chlorine & Bromine
n How to use photometers, comparators & TDS Pens

WELCOME TO WHALE WAY
Whale Way™ develops and manufactures products for the Glamping and RV industry. With over 25 years of experience in canvas tents and car tents manufacturing, they work closely with their brand partners to co-design and develop products. With their first-hand expertise, they provide fundamental structural design, pattern making, raw material sourcing, and tent production, serving their valued brands and customers worldwide.
They focus on products. They believe that great products are rarely the result of design flair or manufacturing developments, but an evolution of learning and listening to feedback. Their products are the sum of users’ experiences. Any changes introduced from one production run to the next are incremental, and reflect their own learning curve. They believe in product durability and longevity. They try to prolong the life of their products by offering spare parts and providing a repair service.
In addition to product development, they take agile supply chain management as another expertise and advantage, as their self-owned factories and affiliates are rooted in the vast
rural areas of China, maintaining production cost advantage to make products affordable. They believe “a single spark can start a prairie fire,” and at the production end, they found the amazing truth is that products with high-cost performance are often produced in small and unknown factories, as they have personally inspected most of SME’s factories throughout China and Southeast Asia. At present, their core suppliers are also located in remote rural areas in China, and their efficient supply chain management and the whole process of quality control is on-site, which continuously creates value for their customers.
Driven by market data, products iteration, and endless innovations, Whale Way™ establishes and maintains long-term cooperative relations with their business partners worldwide, to achieve win-win cooperation. They continue improving their technical capabilities, creating a sense of reliability and certainty, and working with partners to face the uncertainties of the future. To grow bigger is never their goal, but building to last is. They only do what they are good at. They say things as they are and don’t use hyperbole.

CORNILLEAU – OUTDOOR LEISURE AT ITS FINEST
You may have asked yourself hundreds of times how to enhance your guests’ experience. The answer could be this range of outdoor leisure products that combine both great design and playing fun. The range covers Table-Tennis, Pool, and Table-Football – all popular leisure activities that are accessible to all. Thanks to high-quality materials and design worthy of high-end furniture, as well as their playing quality, they are as great to use as they are to look at. Cornilleau has been making products in the same village in Picardy, France since 1946. They have over 75 years’ experience and have constantly innovated to offer unique experiences to consumers. This range is the perfect expression of that experience and passion.
Designed for demanding customers and environments
Weatherproof and shock resistant, the tables require minimal maintenance. Their durability is guaranteed and, for complete peace of mind, spare parts are available for a minimum of twenty years from the date of
purchase. Each component has been specially selected and rigorously tested. Cornilleau is renowned for the durability and performance of its outdoor products and has combined all its know-how and experience with a unique design approach. This resistance to all types of weather but also to knocks and shocks makes these products suitable for all types of players and environments.
Feeling the freedom of playing outside
Your customers have probably already played table-tennis outside, but is it the case for Pool or Table Football? Chances are that it is not the case, and yet, enjoying these outdoor leisure activities can provide an unparalleled feeling of freedom. These tables are truly outdoor products. Combining treated steel, tropical wood and the High-Pressure Laminate used in the Cornilleau outdoor table tennis tables for decades, their resistance to the weather has been proven. They tested nearly eighty surfaces for their pool tables until they found the perfect combination of playability and durability.
Design is not just a word
Cornilleau’s range of Lifestyle products deliberately breaks away from the traditional aesthetic codes of Table-Tennis, Pool, and Table-Football tables. It is inspired by the world of furniture to better blend with terraces, courtyards, pool-side and other outdoor spaces. To integrate perfectly with the needs of the different establishments, the Pool and Table-Tennis tables can also be easily and quickly converted into outdoor dining tables – and always with the same durability.
All tables can be delivered throughout the UK, by a specialist two-person team, with assembly services also available. To find out more and see the entire range of tables, visit their website at uk.cornilleau. com or contact their sales team at sales. uk@cornilleau.com. Cornilleau have a worldwide presence and if you are outside of the UK, the team will be happy to put you in touch with the correct contacts.

The Sustainable Hospitality Networking Event RETURNS TO MONTENEGRO
Treehouses in Costa Rica? Barrel pods in a German vineyard? Bubbles in Australia? Floating pods in the UAE? Lodges by the Zambezi? If you have the idea, we have the people to help make it a reality.
Eco Resort Network 2023 is a 3-day event for eco resort and sustainable hospitality professionals to network and share best practice. This year, it will be held at the 5-star Lazure Hotel in Montenegro on May 24 & 25 – with a third day on May 26 to continue to explore the country and visit Oblun Eco Resort, which is currently under development.
This is a must-attend event if you:
n Need inspiration and advice
n Want to meet suppliers or find global distributors
n Would like to find investment
n Want to make new connections to drive your business forward
n Would like to tour an eco resort being built
n Enjoy first-class hospitality
n Want to see the beautiful country of Montenegro
There is no other networking event for the eco hospitality industry like this. Our goal is that you will not only leave Montenegro equipped with more knowledge of the sector, but also having made genuine partnerships.
Be privy to exclusive talks from renowned members of the hospitality industry, including Sarah Dusek (Under Canvas), Brendan O’Molony (Tenthouse® Structures), Robyn Woodhead (White Desert Antarctica) and Luca Franco (Luxury Frontiers). Expect new products and services, a field trip to see an eco resort being built, boat trips, wine tasting, world-class dining, and more.
Tickets to attend are €1,200 (approx. £1,050/$1,300) and include the Welcome Reception with drinks and canapés on May 23, plus excursions after the conference, boat trips and dinners – as well as the extra trip on May 26 to visit Oblun Eco Resort, and enjoy a tour and dinner at Europe’s largest vineyard, Plantaže.
Following the first Eco Resort Network event held in Slovenia in May 2022, we are aware that over 20% of delegates have pursued new business opportunities directly as a result of the connections they made. These include approaches from investors, distribution agreements, strategic partnerships and sales of goods and services. This does not include the many new friendships, referrals and
recommendations which resulted from spending quality time among like-minded people.
The number of delegates who are rejoining after attending in Slovenia goes to show there is an appetite for a boutique, sustainable hospitality event that combines learning with exploring.
The combination of curating a highly focused group of high-end delegates, pleasant surroundings and the chance to visit an eco resort as part of the event has proven to be extremely popular.
Delegate spaces are limited – we are offering just 80 places to ensure this remains an intimate event. Reserve your place now and get 15% off your hotel booking at www.ecoresort.network
