Welcome to
Welcome to the seventh edition of International Glamping Business’ annual Glamping Suppliers Directory! In this issue, you will find over 70 pages of every type of product and service you will require when starting or expanding your glamping business.
We have an exclusive interview with Sirus Keane from AvantGlamp about the launch of their huge glamping resort on the NEC campus in Birmingham. Edward Busby from Crown and Canopy also leads a planning masterclass on how to reduce your landscape impact in line with the new requirement under planning law – coming in on April 1st 2024 – to formally calculate and mitigate the impact of development on the environment through the Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG) calculation process.
At the back of this issue, you will find every company included listed by country, so you can easily find your local suppliers.
Thank you to those who sent us their details to be included in our directory – we truly appreciate everyone who has supported International Glamping Business since 2015. Remember, if you supply a product or service to the industry, you can submit your details on our website at glampingbusiness.com/annual-directory for a free basic listing.
We’ll see you in the next issue!
Annie Editor, International Glamping BusinessMADRID INTRODUCES GLAMPING TO BOOST ECO-TOURISM
The Community of Madrid works toward sustainable tourism by introducing a new glamping category within its regulations for tourist campsites and RV areas.
This move aims to cater to the growing demand for eco-friendly travel options, combining luxury with environmental stewardship.
With this new category, Madrid is simplifying the administrative process for campsite operators, moving from traditional authorisations to a more streamlined declaration of responsibility system.
Wildfox Resorts‘ first location will offer a unique combination of adventure and wellbeing experiences set against panoramic views of the South Wales Valleys.
Established in 2021, Wildfox Resorts has a mission to establish the next generation of resorts – redfining adventure, leisure and wellness tourism, fusing natural beauty with sensitive design and operations.
Following planning consent for its first resort, Afan Valley, in November 2022, the team began work on site to prepare the ground for construction. Work initially began at the end of May, but stopped just a few months later in August.
Wildfox Resorts said at the time that on-site activity was being put on hold until 2024 and the company was instead focusing on “workforce development”, “heritage” and expanding its “social value initiatives.”
However, work has now restarted after the
A noteworthy aspect of the regulations is the introduction of a star-based classification system. The draft decree envisions simplifying the classification system for facilities, adopting a star-based system (up to 5-stars), eliminating the current system based on a combination of letters and stars.
Glamping will have its own category within the broader scope of campsites.
This simplification not only aids in enhancing the competitiveness of Madrid’s outdoor hospitality sector but also
encourages the adoption of sustainable practices among campsite operators.
By incorporating sustainable practices into the glamping experience, Madrid aims to protect local ecosystems while ‘providing a unique and luxurious outdoor experience’, according to Comunidad de Madrid.
The draft decree (3/1993, January 28) is now in the public consultation phase, having been included in the Transparency Portal. This stage is crucial to gather the opinions of potentially affected parties and the most representative organisations before finalising the text of the new regulation.
THE 250M ADVENTURE HOLIDAY RESORT COMING TO WALES IN 2027
project ground to halt for several months. The socio-economic opportunities are transformational, creating over 1,000 jobs in construction and 1,000 in operation.
The company has estimated that it will contribute around £30m to the local economy and become a project of national importance.
There are considerable supply chain benefits, with an ambit ion to initiate a training academy and distribute visitors to wider Wales to drive genuine, lasting social value which prioritises health and wellbeing.
When the major £250 million project opens in 2027, guests will be accommodated in 570 lodges and 130 apartments and rooms.
The resort will offer a range adventure activities, including mountain biking trails, canyoning and coasteering, state-of-the-art zip wires and an alpine coaster.
For those who wish to take their holidays a bit slower, Afan Valley will also offer a state-of-the-art spa incorporating a range of immersive experiences, elemental treatments, a slate-lined pool and in-out hydropool with infinity edge connected to a secluded lakeside spa garden.
NEC GAINS PLANNING CONSENT FOR ONE OF THE UK’S LARGEST GLAMPING RESORTS
The NEC Group recently announced that planning consent has been approved to host one of the UK’s largest glamping resorts on its NEC Campus in Solihull, in partnership with AvantGlamp.
According to the NEC Group’s announcement, ‘spades are due to go in the ground in the coming months’ for the site, which will be situated by the lake opposite the National Exhibition Centre (NEC) and Resorts World Arena.
AvantGlamp’s flagship resort is to be made up of 59 pods – each offering a unique staycation option. With three pod design options to choose from, the site will be able to accommodate a total of 236 guests at a time.
It will also benefit from a tailor-made app offering state-of-the-art keyless entry, an idyllic over-water communal area, a serene
Hilton has entered into an exclusive partnership with premier outdoor hospitality company AutoCamp.
The partnership will offer Hilton guests an experience that blends the spirit of an iconic outdoor adventure with the hospitality and design-forward thinking of a boutique hotel, in spectacular settings that include properties adjacent to popular national parks.
Hilton guests can now add National Parks, custom Airstreams, luxury tents and starry skies to their bucket lists.
AutoCamp stays will be bookable on Hilton’s direct channels in the coming months, giving Hilton guests direct access to outdoor hospitality that goes beyond glamping.
Hilton Honors members will be able to earn and redeem Points and enjoy exclusive member benefits while experiencing soughtafter locations across the United States, such as Yosemite, Joshua Tree and Russian River in California; Zion, Utah; Cape Cod, Mass.; and Catskills, N.Y.; with Asheville, N.C.
woodland and complimentary golf buggy transport across the resort.
Andy Cole, Director of Property, Partnerships and Media at the NEC, said, “We’re always trying to push the boundaries in diversifying the use of the NEC Campus to support our core exhibition and arenas business. Our latest addition, in partnership with AvantGlamp, perfectly complements our ambitions to create a competitive 24/7 destination to work, rest, live and play, and adds to the existing destination offer.”
The glamping resort will also support the NEC Group’s Better Events ESG Plan. The site will work towards carbon neutrality from the outset, with consideration given to material selection, tree protection and replanting, biodiversity and no use of fossil fuels amongst other initiatives.
Calum MacLeod, Director at AvantGlamp,
said, “We are so proud to be launching our latest venture in the glamping industry with our stunning new site at NEC Birmingham.
“Having a presence in the Midlands makes perfect sense for us and this really is the perfect destination. Being in the heart of the country, as well as having a plethora of leisure and entertainment options on your doorstep, it’s an ideal place to stay.
“After launching our first glamping site in the Highlands in 2019, our business has gone from strength to strength, and we’re delighted to be able to unveil the largest destination of its kind in the UK.
“We are looking to push the boundaries of what is possible with AvantGlamp and our flagship resort at the NEC is the perfect place to start.
“The NEC has been a breath of fresh air to work with from start to finish on this phase of the development and we are very excited to maintain that fantastic relationship when we open and beyond.”
HILTON AND AUTOCAMP PARTNER TO OFFER ELEVATED GLAMPING EXPERIENCES
and Sequoia, Calif., opening this summer and Hill Country, Texas, in 2025.
“We know today’s travelers are craving adventures when planning their next trip, and that’s why we look for innovative and like-minded partners like AutoCamp,” said Chris Silcock, president, Global Brands and Commercial Services, Hilton. “This is the first time a major hospitality brand and outdoor lodging company have come together in this way to create even more choices for travelers while redefining the outdoor hospitality experience.”
According to the Hilton Trends Report, in 2024, nearly half of travelers will prioritize
exploration and adventure, with more than half of Gen Z and Millennials carving out more budget for these types of experiences, exceeding other generations.
“Our mission at AutoCamp has always been to reconnect people with the outdoors and each other,” said Neil Dipaola, founder and CEO, AutoCamp. “By partnering with an incredible global brand like Hilton, we’re able to introduce Hilton Honors members to a new hospitality experience rooted in nature – bringing them closer to the country’s most iconic national parks and explorable outdoor destinations without sacrificing the highest caliber of hospitality and comfort they expect.”

Saniflo Glamping Case Study SUITE HUTS
There is an abundance of glamping structures of every size, shape and style gracing today’s glampsites – and they are some of the most innovative modular buildings on the market, with every convenience imaginable.
Suite Huts is a glamping pod/cabin manufacturer with a difference. The company’s range of custom-built wooden glamping structures are flat-pack ready to be assembled for events – whether it be a festival, motorsport meeting, private function; any space fundamentally that requires additional sleeping accommodation. Whilst quite simple in design, they provide all the necessities required for an overnight stay. As well as sleeping pods, the company makes serve huts for catering and wood fired hot tubs and saunas. Delivered and erected by the company, each hut is ready for use on site in less than 30 minutes.
The Suitehut is the company’s first and original product and features a small, but perfectly formed en-suite bathroom. This offers extra privacy for event attendees that prefer private WC facilities over public.
To maximise use of the space, Suitehut has specified a unique solution from Saniflo in the shape of the Sanicompact - a compact toilet with an integrated macerator that eliminates the need for a cistern.
The benefit of the Sanicompact is not just its tiny footprint in the cosy bathroom of the Suitehut, but its function as a fully flushable, proper WC is more appealing than the chemical toilets often found at large events. It even takes the waste from the small basin unit in the en-suite of the Suitehut and discharges

it with the WC waste through unnoticeable, small-bore pipework into a well-hidden holding tank.
Steve Smith is Founder and Director of Suite Huts. The Sanicompact was recommended to him by a plumbers’ merchant as a spacesaving solution;
“Prior to the Sanicompact we used a WC with a cistern and a macerator. Many customers definitely prefer an integrated en-suite with a flushable WC as opposed to using communal WC and shower blocks. When we found the Saniflo Sanicompact it offered us the best of both worlds – a proper working loo that took less space therefore offering extra room to move around the en-suite. We are now building many of these for future events. We’re delighted to have found this solution.”

HOW TO TURN YOUR HIDEAWAY
into an experience
As an independent marketing agency that curates collections of one-of-a-kind hideaways across the UK - and avid adventurers ourselves - we know what catches a guest’s eye when looking for their next magical escape in a luxury glamping getaway.
It’s this sense of experience that calls to guests seeking to step away from the everyday and create memorable moments that last. At Unique Hideaways, our carefully crafted collections centre around these unmissable experiences, from dreamy hot tubs and wood burners to sprawling sea views and eco credentials. To help you get ahead in 2024, we’ve gathered the key areas that will help give your hideaway that extra bit of allure…
Health and wellbeing
Combining luxury with health-boosting benefits, features such as hot tubs, saunas, and plunge pools continue to be an incredible way to make your hideaway stand out. There are options available for all budgets, and combining any of these heavenly extras creates a spa-like experience for guests, drawing them back to visit again and again. Whether you opt for a beautiful copper outdoor bath, a bubbling hot tub, or a Scandinavianstyle sauna, these luxuries add a touch of indulgence, beckoning guests looking to rest, relax, and recharge.
Outdoor spaces
People choose a hideaway in nature because they want to embrace their surroundings,
from waking with the sun to breathing deep the fresh country air. By crafting an inviting outdoor space that brings them closer to the world around them, you’re not only extending the living space of your hideaway, but creating an area where guests can kick off their boots and bask in the sun. Spark dreams of relaxed alfresco dining with outdoor tables and chairs, piles of sumptuous blankets, pizza ovens, and barbeques, or spin stories of slow afternoons that turn into magical evenings with cosy seating and flickering fire pits. When curating these enchanting outdoor spaces, make sure to give them the same care and attention as your interiors, from twinkling lights that hang overhead to kaleidoscopic wildflowers that dance in the breeze.
Off-grid
More and more, guests are seeking to disconnect from the everyday, including spaces that are free of distractions, allowing them to completely step away from the temptations of the modern world. More than simply having no wi-fi, people are drawn to hideaways that are off-grid and promise a more ‘back-to-basics’ experience that creates a sense of adventure. Nature and the surrounding environment take precedence over technology, inviting guests to turn their attention to the wood burner for cosy moments, while reading, games, and socialising replace phones and televisions for entertainment. This is a wonderfully costeffective and lower-impact way to create a lasting experience for your guests.
Aids to escapism
There are so many little touches that help add personality to your hideaway, offering guests the chance to truly experience the art of escapism. Line your shelves with books about nature and the area so that guests can learn more about their surroundings, helping them to plan adventures during their stay.
Binoculars and telescopes encourage them to connect with nature, while vintage pieces and odes to the history and setting of your hideaway help create a story for visitors to step into. As with any home or place of meaning, it’s the small things that often make the biggest difference, whether it’s a pack of cards for lazy afternoons or a pocket book of plants guests can take on a countryside ramble - it all adds up to memories made.

AVANTGLAMP Visit the Future
Following the announcement of AvantGlamp’s collaboration with the NEC to create one of the UK’s biggest glamping resorts, we spoke to Sirus Keane to find out more about this huge project and the team behind it.
We understand that AvantGlamp is a project that has been developing for some years. Can you explain how it came about and what the main challenges were?
Calum Macleod and Andy Cole MBE, Director for Property, Commercial Partnerships and Commercial Media at the NEC Group met at the glamping show over four years ago, when Andy asked Calum if he knew anybody who would be interested in building a glamping site at the NEC. Of course, Calum jumped at the chance and grabbed the opportunity with both hands.
From the day they met at The Glamping Show, Calum went through an iterative process completing multiple proposals and submissions for various different stakeholders within the NEC to approve and sign off the project.
A pre-planning application was submitted in the summer of 2022 by Glampitect and, after a very positive response from the council, things progressed on to a full
planning application, also fully managed by Glampitect, who were supported by a team of external consultants including expert ecologist and tree specialists. This full planning
application was submitted in summer of 2023, with the planning approval coming around 8 months later in February 2024.
During the planning process, there were a number of hurdles to overcome, many of which required a level of investment which needed to be found externally. At this point, Sirus and Gayle firstly invested and then joined the team to drive forward the project, due to the amount of confidence they had in Calum’s ambitions and work ethos.
From there, we collaborated closely with an extended team of external consultants, including arboriculturists, ecologists, landscape architects and other specialists. We worked together with Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council to ensure the site was sympathetically designed and the woodland would remain preserved and in fact improved over time.
Who are the key team members involved in AvantGlamp?
Alongside Calum, Sirus and Gayle, mentioned previously, the core team also included Benn Brown of Global Timber, Alex Cash of Pod Factory, and Greg Thabit and Paul Adams of Datum Group, which managed the groundworks and build. Tallia Flaher of Social Composure is our digital marketing and PR expert.
What accommodation units will be on site and how many?
It is an ambitious project comprising of 59 glamping pods which includes 13 situated
over the water with a view to Pendigo Lake. These each have their own balcony from which to enjoy the surroundings. We also saw it as a priority to build a number of mobility pods for those with issues around accessibility.
What other facilities will you offer to guests?
We will offer a luxury experience for guests, where they can interact as much or as little as they like with others during their stay. AvantGlamp will feature an app-enabled, eco-friendly guest management and keyless entry system and room service, as well as an over-water lily-pad style communal area overlooking Pendigo Lake. Given the size of
the site, we will use electric golf buggies to transport guests and their luggage around the resort. We will also create a multifunction space as we know there is a lot of interest in corporate and private events. It will also be open to guests where they can come together socially.
Who do you anticipate your guests will be?
The resort is engineered to blend work and play seamlessly catering to diverse guests, including business professionals, as well as friends, families, and couples. We have also allocated some dog- friendly pods on the resort.
How cooperative has the NEC been to work with on this project?
Working with the NEC has been an absolute pleasure; they have fully supported us in all areas. We have built a strong and positive relationship with the NEC and are looking forward to continuing working together on this exciting opportunity.
What has been the reaction of the other hospitality providers in the area?
Our venture has received an overwhelmingly positive response, especially from neighbouring hotels and attractions. By introducing a unique and innovative glamping experience at the NEC, we are
expanding the existing accommodation offer, which will attract visitors throughout the entire year, including the typical offpeak periods around events contributing the increased foot traffic to other hospitality providers in their restaurants, bars and spas.
We are in talks with a number of nearby hotels, restaurants and leisure offerings to create official partnerships. We will be releasing more on this soon.
What sustainable initiatives do you hope to introduce?
Beside building our pods completely by using sustainable wind energy at the
PodFactory, we are implementing several sustainability initiatives, managed through our in-house developed SMART app, specialist including software allowing us to measure electricity and water consumption per pod, giving the opportunity for our guests to participate in our ecohero programme, which offers friendly competitions with other guests to conserve water and electricity, accumulating points that can be exchanged for discounts and complimentary stays.
We have also included the integration of moss roofs on the guest accommodation, maximizing biodiversity and blending the pods into the surrounding landscape.
We also decided to manage all booking processes and key entry digitally and via the app reducing the use of materials such as paper and plastic key cards. It’s our aspiration to be carbon neutral in line with the NEC’s objectives by 2030.
What is the timescale for the build of AvantGlamp?
We aim to have the resort completed in late 2024.
What’s next for AvantGlamp?
We have already confirmed our opening date for our first AvantGlamp site to open in Q2 of this year in Cornwall.

ALANDSCAPE PLANNING MASTERCLASS
Aholistic approach on how to reduce landscape impact, enrich your site for nature, and mitigate biodiversity net gain and nutrient neutrality in one fell swoop.
Over the past decade at Crown and Canopy, we have designed sites and developments from a low impact, environmentally sound perspective – along with significant ecological gains through biodiversity enhancement plans. However, going forwards, this will be embedded in England’s planning law at a much higher level.
As of April 1st 2024, in England, there will be a requirement under planning law to formally calculate and mitigate the impact of development on the environment through the Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG) calculation process.
Even though this policy is now coming into play, there has been a requirement in place for some time to offset and mitigate the impact
After all, what would a glamping site be without nature? Has a plain grass field, or the corner of an arable field ever been enough to create a truly magical setting for a glamping site? Not in our view.
of development through the planning process. As a company, we have been in full support of this approach long before it became a policy requirement – not least as it fits with our ideals and love of natural landscapes – because it often strengthens and benefits the business case. After all, what would a glamping site be without nature? Has a plain grass field, or the corner of an arable field ever been enough to create a truly magical setting for a glamping site? Not in our view.
Through habitat enhancements, we have created wildflower meadows, restored peatland, planted native woodlands, and built bat bunkers to name a few, and in doing so, we have found this significantly boosts the appeal of a site to guests. A cabin in a field is one thing – a cabin set within a significantly enhanced natural environment is another. We tend to stray away from any kind of formal landscaping around a site and instead, focus on creating a wild environment.
Landscape enhancements, such as tree planting, also play a key role in mitigating landscape visual impact. In addition, we tend to utilise existing vegetation through the site design process to further the case. These properties can also aid the privacy element for guests providing them with a private setting for outdoor experiences where they can relax, roam, and bath in nature undisturbed. This private feel without overlooking or being in the line of sight of man-made development contributes towards higher occupancy and
Edward Busby, co-founder and director of Crown and Canopy – Experts in glamping consultancy, design, and developmentnightly rates.
Creating ponds, lakes, and wetlands can also be a great way of increasing the environmental value of a site whilst enhancing its appeal to guests. Sites beside the water tend to be some of the highest performing spaces in the sector as wild swimming can be very popular with guests as a key feature. Add a sauna and an outdoor bathtub to this, and you create a dreamy environment to observe the magic of nature.
Water pollution has also been a hot topic in the world of policy in recent years, and we have seen the development and implementation of the nutrient neutrality calculators now become a formal part of the planning process in the UK. The thinking
behind this is sound in our view, but one has to say, this should have been part of policy for the past 20+ years to effectively protect our precious watercourses.
When forming a planning application, we now calculate the potential phosphate and nitrate discharge through the proposed foul water systems for developments. This can be reduced by designing in ecologically sound systems, such as package treatment plants. In some cases, we mitigate impacts entirely through the replacement of existing and outdated septic systems, depending on the proposal. However, in most cases, one must mitigate the impact on site by setting aside land from intensive commercial use of various kinds to nature and green purposes.
This can improve the appeal and quality of a site but sometimes landowners and developers simply don’t own enough land to mitigate on site and when this occurs, the only option is to purchase nutrient credits. Whilst this may sound simple, the reality is that credits are in short supply across the country and, when they can be purchased, they are often very expensive. We approach sites with this in mind from the beginning, creating the most environmentally sound approach, resulting in the lowest offset requirement.
The next big topic: BNG. In a matter of weeks, any planning application for this kind of development will have to use either the Small or Main Site Metrics calculator depending upon
the scale of development, or the complexity of the habitat you may be working within. There is a general requirement to deliver at least 10% net gain from a project, but a number of councils have applied a 20% rule. Once the number of credits has been established through the tool, mitigation can either take place on site or credits can be purchased off site, much the same as the nutrient neutrality process.
Even though these requirements do present new challenges, there is also the potential to create a win-win situation where the required policy compliance also results in a fantastic and high
Even though these requirements do present new challenges, there is also the potential to create a winwin situation where the required policy compliance also results in a fantastic and high performing glamping site.
performing glamping site. Creating nature rich environments can also feed positively into the new agricultural policy, and in some cases, our clients are going a step beyond.
We have had the pleasure of working on numerous rewilding projects and more recently BNG projects where farms or estates are creating credits and significant rewilding schemes as a form of generating new and significant income through landscape recovery.
What we have found, is there is a complete symbiosis between these schemes and outdoor based accommodation. When designed correctly, glamping developments can nestle on the edge of these projects and act as low impact commercial funding mechanisms, contributing towards a high-income generating landscape that has much greater income potential than monocultural land management.
This polycultural approach is the future, and while we certainly still need to produce food, grow livestock, and work on the land, there must be space and respect for nature.

Dragon’s Den entrepreneur expands glamping business WITH SUPPORT FROM TRUDOMES
An entrepreneur who won investment on the BBC TV show Dragon’s Den is realising his glamping dream with support from geodome manufacturer TruDomes.
Derry Green, owner of Secret Garden Glamping in Skelmersdale, Northwest England, successfully pitched his business to five multi-millionaire investors on an episode of the latest series which aired in January. The Dragons were impressed by the story of Derry’s original glamping site in Skelmersdale which has a 100 per cent occupancy since opening during lockdown in 2020. Derry will be using the £100,000 secured on the show to expand his business with the launch of further sites across the UK.
The multi-award winning glamping site is nestled in four acres of woodland with idyllic views in the heart of Lancashire. The site includes nine units, each with their own look and feel, including a geodome supplied by TruDomes with a range of bespoke features in keeping with Secret Garden’s five-star glamping concept.
TruDomes Vice President, Louise Stone, said, “We watched Derry’s appearance on Dragon’s Den when he talked about building a campsite with his children during lockdown and accidentally creating an amazingly successful business. His story is so inspiring, and he moved some of the Dragons to tears.”
“TruDomes are proud to be part of Derry’s story at the original Secret Garden site. Derry stated on the show that he wants to make Secret Garden Glamping the go-to brand for luxury camping in the UK and abroad. He certainly has the drive and vision to achieve it.”
Derry opted for a 7m dome with a porch and skylight, curtains and insulation in ‘vanilla’, and a textured ‘Woodland’ cover in-keeping with the natural aesthetic of the site. The dome also features TruDomes’ popular Star Sleeper platform, a raised sleeping space for two people, with the company’s Cyprus Pod en-suite fitted underneath the beds. TruDomes supplied a range of upgrades and accessories including a TV stand and solar fan.
TruDomes Customer Success Manager, Leanne Seivewright, said, “Derry has done
a fantastic job with the dome, completely in keeping with his overall vision at Secret Garden, and it demonstrates the stunning results which can be achieved with the space available.
“The new sites will mirror the design of the original site, so it’s exciting to know that many more geodomes will be on the glamping map as part of this exceptional new brand.”
Operating from a headquarters and factory in Nuneaton, Central England, TruDomes supplies bespoke geodomes on a global basis. Established as one of the UK’s leading names in glamping accommodation, the company has expanded throughout continental Europe and launched a Utah-based North American operation in 2022. Last year, TruDomes established a new sales network in East Asia with the launch of a distribution partnership with Glamping Japan Co., Ltd. The company’s all-season geodesic domes are renowned for their sustainability-led design and marketleading manufacturing quality, including frames made from aircraft-grade aluminium.
DYESTER UNVEILS REVOLUTIONARY ETERNAL SPRING™
2.1 billion people lack access to safe drinking water, 931 children under 5 years old die daily due to dehydration and waterborne illnesses, and women spend around 200 million hours each day fetching water.
The unveiling of the revolutionary Eternal Spring™, a thermal Deposition Water Harvesting system, will now provide a sustainable solution to this pressing issue.
The groundbreaking discovery from Dyester Corp, led by CEO Barry Sendach, and HGTV’s Modern Homestead is a gamechanging, eco-friendly solution to water generation and access. This technology allows users to generate water in any location across the globe, mimicking the natural water cycle using solar energy, irrespective of prevailing humidity levels.
Barry can comment on the following hot topics:
n Sustainable and Grid Independence as Eternal Spring™ operates on solar energy, providing a sustainable and eco-friendly solution to water generation as it does not need to be connected to the grid for power.
n The formulation and use of DWH™ Technology, which significantly outperforms Atmospheric Water Generators (AWG) and desalination, requiring only 68Wh per liter, making it a cost-effective and energy-efficient solution compared to existing alternatives.
n Why Deposition Water Harvesting™
(DWH™) is NOT reliant on relative humidity and operates completely green, solving roadblocks like initial cap ex and how a small solar panel can power the unit.
Barry says “Water vapor comprises 1-2% of Earth’s atmosphere– a vital part of the water cycle. High power requirements for current AWG systems make them impractical choices for most regions. Most current equipment needs at least 35% relative humidity to function, which is prohibitive to places that need it the most. Most technologies have had high up-front costs and are cost-prohibitive in emerging economies. DWH™ is the solution!”
Notable endorsements from figures like Chris Miller, Former Secretary of Defense, and industry experts like Phil Anderson and Mr. Surritte emphasize the transformative potential of Eternal Spring™. The partnership with Modern Homestead adds credibility to the system’s applicability in remote and offgrid locations.

BE DIFFERENT TAILOR YOUR OFFERING TO YOUR CUSTOMER NEEDS
January is the perfect time for glamping and campsites to focus on the new season ahead, be it exciting new improvements or the annual repair and maintenance jobs. This is also a good time to think about your firewood offering. If you have been experiencing inconsistent quality or have been processing your own logs and finding its taking up too much of your valuable time, you might want to consider Certainly Wood’s campsite range.
We have been tailoring our campsite offering, adding two new lines last year to our range, the Outdoor Cooking Box and the Dinkies Small Logs. Following our customers’ feedback, both are packed in cardboard boxes and the cooking box even includes a tested and tried wood fired recipe for cooking on a campfire or firepit, enabling sites to stock relevant ingredients in their shops and increase sales further. Our dinkies include shorter logs and are designed especially for small wood burners, such as the ones you find in shepherd’s huts and yurts.
Combine your British kiln dried logs with our revolutionary KindleFlamers natural firelighters, now available in a loose/re-fill tub option, especially if your goals is to reduce packaging.
Apart from offering Ready to burn, sustainable, British firewood products, did you know about the other ways CW can support you and your business?
How to light your fire guides – step by step instructions making firelighting simple for your guests and taking the pressure off you. Print them out and include in your welcome packs.
Point of Sale – we can send you posters, signs etc for your on-site shop.
Social engagement – Our marketing team loves to see what your site is up to, have you won an award, been featured on TV or have an amazing photo to share. If so, tag in Certainly Wood and we will share to our followers.

Spring is a
BLOOMING GOOD
season!
Hasn’t the year started so quickly? I know, it’s nearly the end of the month, and I can’t believe how quickly March has come around. But it has a relative calmness about it too, as we try and make our way into spring focused on what needs to be done, what we can manage effectively, and what needs to take a little bit more of our time to work towards.
For some, including us, 2024 has been a bit of a whirlwind. We can safely say that we have been incredibly busy with sales of all products right across our ranges, during what would usually be a quiet period for the outdoor living industry.
Interestingly enough, within these sales we have seen many different products leaving the factory, and these aren’t just limited to products from our core range of hot tubs and saunas, but from sales related to our accommodation units that we unveiled at The Glamping Show last September, which is pleasantly surprising given the relative newness of the modular houses into the market place.
Like with everything in the outdoor living market, there isn’t any time to be complacent, and that is why we have been finalising our plans for 2024 and beyond, focusing on the shows we plan to exhibit at (The Glamping Show in September 2024 included), the new products that are likely to be out in the marketplace, the countries we plan to introduce our products through, and the continued collaborations and partnerships that are being forged as a result of many fabulous conversations.
Additionally, whilst we plan our own schedules in preparation for 2024 and beyond, we also try our best to ‘educate’ our customers about the ways in which they can similarly follow suit in terms of planning, managing their assets, and developing their businesses, so that like their ‘competition’ they are able to flourish starting immediately. By being so proactive in their approach, it means that they aren’t hanging around until the ‘season’ ends (in late October and November, dependent on how your business operates) to improve your businesses.
So, why do we suggest that spring is a ‘blooming good time’ to do the above? For us, it boils down to the need to be in the driving seat within your offerings and geographic area, understanding that no matter how big or small you are, there is a chance to develop your site going forwards, regardless of where you are in your business journey, Woodpecker, and its numerous partners, can allow you to identify and reaps the rewards of the advice given, when it comes to establishing yourselves as a holiday enterprise or business.
Therefore, if you are looking to ‘bloom’ in the outdoor living marketplace, as a fabulous holiday destination this spring, why not get in touch with us, as we will be only too happy to develop your business with you by our side through every step of the process, making spring 2024 a ‘blooming’ proposition for you!

Mowing solutions for every site FROM KUBOTA
The landscape of your holiday park or glamping site provides the backdrop for a picturepostcard holiday. When it comes to grounds maintenance, mowing is likely be the operation conducted most frequently and is critical to maintaining the aesthetic quality of your site. The Kubota range of ride-on mowers include mid-deck and out-front cutting options and clip dispersal to suit individual preference, making mowing simple, effective and boosting site presentation.
Kubota’s F-Series is the leader in the outfront mower market and a popular choice with many in the leisure sector. Available with either a 25hp or 37hp Kubota diesel engine, operator experience is at the core of the F-Series design philosophy - with a comfortable, ergonomic operating platform providing easy and convenient access to controls. The efficient and unique dual-range HST hydrostatic transmission is operated with just a single pedal, while four-wheel drive and a 60” mower deck deliver high productivity and an impressive quality of cut. Rear or side discharge options are available, with the new mower deck design ensuring
improved airflow for improved mulching quality.
With a 260kg lifting capacity on the lower links and 2545rpm PTO shaft, Kubota’s F-Series is highly versatile. The ability to equip this machine with a mower, flail mower, sweeper and much more makes it a true multi-tasker, well suited to a vast array of landscaping applications.
For areas in close proximity to dwellings, some sites are now turning to ride-on units that offer cut and collect – delivering precision and accuracy of cut and removal of the clippings produced in a single pass. Not only does this enhance presentation and reduce the risk and problems associated with the mown grass being trodden into accommodation, removal of clippings is also great for presentation and turf health!
The Kubota G-Series has been designed for high performance, comfort and ease of operation, offering impressive cutting performance on grass of all lengths and in all conditions. The range features an optimised operator platform and instrument panel which provides all the key information at a
glance, while the joystick control keeps the main functions at your fingertips.
Both the Kubota G231 and wider mower deck and higher horsepower G261 model, offer two collector types – a 560 litre low dump fabric grass collector or 640 litre high dump collector, offering fast and convenient emptying into skips, bins or grass piles from a height of up to 1.97m.
Continuing through the range, Kubota’s GRSeries of ride-on mowers delivers impressive cut and collect, no matter the mowing conditions. Featuring revolutionary glide steer technology, four-wheel drive and power steering, the GR range is an extremely agile solution for clean cutting, with efficient operator comfort. This manoeuvrability means the GR series makes light work of mowing around trees, bushes and other obstacles – easily tackling tasks in tight spaces or providing a quality finish for large areas. Facilities can select between models with 13.5hp or 21hp diesel engines, and 107cm or 122cm mower decks, to suit.

TENTHOUSE STRUCTURES
Interview with Founder & CEO Brendan O’Molony
What sorts of projects are you currently working on and where?
Two turnkey resorts with Envi Lodges in Oman, one on the beach and the other in the Al Akdhar mountains.
A private beach comber camp overlooking the Sea of Cortez in Baja in Mexico. A conservation camp and a private luxury retreat in the Kalahari Khamab Reserve South Africa.
A turnkey adventure resort in Al Baha Saudi Arabia.
An intimate Wilderness Safaris camp in the Desert Rhino reserve Namibia.
Where has been the most remote project you have worked on? What were the challenges of this?
Most of our projects are remote often requiring complex logistics. Hoanib Skeleton Coast Camp, Namibia is a great example. At the time we built this in 2014, we had to drive teams and materials overland for a day and night from Windhoek through the desert on gravel and off road for large parts of this traverse.
Once on site, there was little margin for error and any unexpected onsite challenges were managed through exceptional planning, preparedness, experienced rigging, and team leadership.
What makes Tenthouse Structures unique?
Our unique wilderness fabric architecture integrated with flexible turnkey solutions.
We have seen your tensile structures in some of the most luxurious resorts in the world –what products do you have for sites with smaller budgets, or less space?
In addition to luxury tented projects, we have a neat range of soft wall tents for a variety of applications and budgets. Options include decking solutions, ensuite bathrooms, a range of window and door treatments, beautiful linings, and interior packages. Delivered and simply installed in 4-6 months from order.
We also offer modular hardwall solutions for upscale and upper upscale market segments. Available in both pre-designed and customizable configurations, these stylish suites combine the comfort and privacy of a house with the soft allure of canvas and sweeping tensile canopies.
Each client’s requirements are unique, and readers are welcome to reach out and discuss their specific project with our team.
You are once again the Gold Sponsor of the Eco Resort Network event –what are you most looking forward to when we convene in May?
We look forward to engaging with a community of similar interests and industry peers and the opportunity to exchange insights and experiences, fostering mutual learning. Also exploring avenues for collaboration, market expansion, and diversification.
Speaking at the Eco Resort Network event in Montenegro last year, you announced your sustainability vision ‘Made better, together’. What are your sustainability pledges now, and what’s coming in the future?
Our sustainability journey, so far, is an exciting process of discovery and learning, and we are encouraged by the progress we are making towards our goal of achieving carbon neutrality by 2050.
This year, we are focussed on continuing to reduce our carbon emissions through research and development in new materials, processes, and products and improved efficiency throughout our supply chain.
Are you noticing any global trends in the luxury outdoor hospitality sector?
The increasing integration of local cultural elements, biophilic design into eco luxury resorts together with regenerative land use, offering travellers a unique, environmentally conscious experience and authentic opportunity to connect with nature. Additionally, the use of innovative designs and cutting-edge technology to minimize the environmental impact is gaining traction globally.
New tent architecture is leading the way in unlocking this demand.

75 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE
in luxury glamping tents
Over the course of time, the humble tent has undergone a remarkable evolution, transitioning from basic shelters to luxurious accommodations synonymous with the trend of glamping (glamorous camping). Despite this transformation, one fundamental motivation remains steadfast: the desire for freedom and connection with nature.
This evolution has been particularly accelerated by the recent surge in popularity of glamping, spurred on further by the global pandemic. As travellers seek safer and more secluded options for vacationing, the demand for upscale camping experiences has skyrocketed. Recognizing this trend, De Waard, a renowned tent manufacturer, has seized the opportunity to innovate and introduce what can be dubbed as Glamping 2.0.
The latest offerings from De Waard exemplify this shift towards luxury camping. They’re glamping tents, designed to cater to the needs
of modern campers, boast spacious living areas, comfortable bedrooms, fully equipped kitchens, and even private bathrooms. These accommodations cater to a growing market of families and individuals seeking the comforts of home amidst the backdrop of the great outdoors.
What sets De Waard’s glamping tents apart is not just their luxurious amenities but also their global recognition. From the rugged terrain of the Rocky Mountains to the serene shores of Italian Lago di Corlo and the windswept Dutch dunes, these tents have left their mark on campsites worldwide. Campers and campground owners alike share snapshots of their De Waard tent experiences, further fueling the brand’s reputation for excellence.
This reputation is not solely built on luxury but also on durability. De Waard’s tents gained widespread acclaim after weathering a massive summer storm, a testament to their resilience and robust construction. With 75 years of expertise under their belt, the company, then led by Machiel and his son
In essence, De Waard’s journey from traditional camping tents to luxury glamping accommodations is a testament to the enduring allure of outdoor adventure.
Pieter, continued to collaborate closely with campsites to ensure their offerings met the evolving needs of campers.
In response to the demand for rental-friendly options, De Waard introduced modifications to their classic pyramid tents. Models like the Dutch Elm and the Tulip Tree tunnel tent combine functionality with storm-proof design, making them beloved choices among campground owners. These tents offer ample space for families and groups while ensuring a comfortable and secure camping experience.
In essence, De Waard’s journey from traditional camping tents to luxury glamping accommodations is a testament to the enduring allure of outdoor adventure. As the landscape of camping continues to evolve, one thing remains constant: the desire to escape the confines of everyday life and immerse oneself in the beauty of nature, with the comfort and freedom that only a well-crafted tent can provide.
