Tirumala Brahmotsavam is a Hindu festival celebrated annually at Tirumala Venkateswara Temple at Tirupati in Andhra Pradesh. The festival continues for 9 days in the months of September and October. மமர்த்த சாணூரமகாந் ஸ ஸர்ேதா மமாஸ்து மாங்கள்ய ேிவ்ருத்தவய ஹரி : II இதன் மபாருள், கண்ணன் சிறுபிள்னையாக இருந்த வபாது, சகேத்னத உனதத்தும், மருதமரங்கனை முறித்தும், சாணூரனன ேனதத்தும், பனகனமபாராட்டிய கம்ஸனன அழித்தும் உகந்த ஹரி எனக்கு மங்கைங்கனை அருள்ோராக என வபாற்றப்படுகின்றார். பிறகு, பலராமனும், கிருஷ்ணனும் உஜ்ேயினி மசன்று, ஸாந்திபீனி என்ற மஹரிஷியிேம் அறுபத்து நான்கு கனலகனையும், சில நாட்கைிவலவய கற்று வதர்ந்தனர்.

அந்த மஹரிஷி அேர்கள் சாதாரண மனிதர்கைில்னல,

மதய்ோம்ஸம் மபாருந்தியேர்கள் என்பதனன அறிோர்.

ஆகவே

குருதேினணயாக மனித சக்திக்கு அப்பார் பட்ே ஒன்னறக் வகட்ோர். ஆம் அேர் மனனேியின் ேிருப்பமான, பல ஆண்டுகளுக்கு முன் இறந்த தன் புத்திரனனவய! அந்தச் சிறுேன் ப்ரபாதவேத்ரத்தில் கேலில் மூழ்கி இறந்து ேிட்ோன்.கண்ணனால் சாதிக்க முடியாத்து எதுவுமில்னல என்பனத குருவும் அறிோர். குருேின் ேிருப்பத்தினன பூர்த்தி மசய்ய கிருஷ்ண, பலராமர்கள் ப்ரபாதவேத்திரத்திற்குச் மசன்று, ஸமுத்திர ராேனிேம் வகட்க, அேன் சிறுேன் தன்னிேமில்னல, ஆனால் சமுத்திரத்தில் பஞ்ேனன் என்ற அரக்கன் ஒைிந்திருக்கின்றான்.

ஒரு வேனை அ ேனிேம் இருக்கக்கூடும்

என்று கூற, கிருஷ்ணன் கேலுக்குள் மூழ்கி, அரக்கனனக்கண்டுபிடித்து அேனனக் மகான்றார். ஆனால் அேன் ேயிற்றில் சிறுேன் இல்னல, பதிலாக ஒரு மேண்சங்கு இருந்தது. அதனன கிருஷ்ணன் தன் ஆயுதங்கைில் ஒன்றாக ஆக்கிக் மகாண்ோன்.

அதுவே பாஞ்சேன்யம்.

பிறகு கண்ணன்,

ஸம்மீ னி என்ற எமராேன் பட்டினத்திற்குச் மசன்று அேனிேமிருந்து சிறுேனன மீ ட்டுேந்து, குருேிேம் ஒப்பனேத்தான் காணிக்னகயாக.

பலராமன், ஆனர்த்தம் என்ற வதஸத்து மன்னன் னரேதன் மகள் வரேதினய மணக்க, கிருஷ்ணன், ேிதர்பவதஸத்து மன்னன் பீஷ்மகன் மகள் ருக்மிணி; ஸத்ராேித் மகள் சத்யபாமா ;

ோம்போன் மகள் ோம்பேதி

; ஸூர்யனின் புதல்ேி காைந்தீ

; அேந்திநாட்டு இைேரசி மித்ரேிந்னத ; வகாஸலவதசத்து மன்னன் நக்னேித் மகள் ஸத்யா (நப்பின்னன ) ; வகாஸலராேன் அத்னத மகள் பத்ரா ; வமலும் மத்ரவதஸத்து அரசனின் மகள் லக்ஷ்மணா என்ற எட்டு மபண்கனை மணந்து மகாண்ோர். பிறகு நரகாஸூரனனேதம் மசய்தார். ருக்மேதினய மணந்தான். மணந்து மகாண்ோன்.

கண்ணனின் மகன் ப்ரத்யும்னன், மாமன்மகள்

அேர்கள் மகன் அநிருத்தன், பாணாஸூரன் மகள் உனஷனய

இப்படி யாதே குலம் தனழத்து ேைர்ந்தது. பிறகு, பாரதவபார் மூண்ேது.

பலராமன் உறேினர்களுக்குள் எழுந்த யுத்தத்னத ேிரும்பாமல் தீர்த்த யாத்தினர மசன்றுேிட்ோர்.

பிறகு தாம்தான் ஸங்கர்ஷணனின் அம்ஸம் என்பதனன உணர்ந்து

த்யானத்தில் ஈடுபட்டு வதகத்னதத் துறந்தார். கண்ணன் பாண்ேேர்கள் பக்கம் துனணநின்று, பார்த்தனுக்கு ( அர்ேூனனக்கு ) சாரதி (வதவராட்டி)யாக இருந்தான். மசய்தான்.

அப்வபாது பார்த்தனுக்கு கீ வதாபவதஸம்

பாண்ேேர்கள் யுத்தத்தில் மேல்ல, உதேியாக இருந்தார்.

கண்ணன் அேதரித்து, நூற்று இரு பத்னதந்து ஆண்டு கள் ஆகிேிட்ேன.

கிருஷ்ணன் இந்த பூதவுேனல நீத்து,

னேகுண்ேம் மசல்ல ேினழந்தார். யாதேர்கள் தங்களுக்குள்வைவய சண்னே இட்டுக் மகாண்டு அழிந் தனர். அப்வபாது ஒரு அஸ்ேத மரத்தடியில் சதுர்புேங்களுேன், பீதாம்பரதாரியாக, ேலது துனேவமல் இேது பாத த்னத னேத்துக்மகாண்டு, வயாகாஸனத்தில் இருந்த வபாது, ேரன் என்ற வேேன் ேனேிலங்மகன்று எண்ணி, கண்ணனின் பாதத்னத இலக்காக னேத்து அம்மபய்த, அம்பின் நுனியில் இருந்த ேிஷம் கிருஷ்ணனனத் தாக்கியது. வேேன் கண்ணனிேம் மன்னிப்பு வேண்டினான்.

தேற்னற உணர்ந்த

அேனுக்கு வமாேத்னதயைித்த கண்ணன்,

பிரம்ம, ருத்ராதிகள் பார்த்துக் மகாண்டிருக்க, னேகுண்ேம் எழுந்தருைினார்.

இந்த ேரா என்ற

வேேன், பகோன் ராமனாக அேதரித்த வபாது, அேர் மனறந்திருந்து மகான்ற ோலிவய என்பர்.

நாதமுனிகளுக்கு வயாகதனசயில் ஸ்ரீனேகுண்ேத்திலிருந்து எழுந்தருைி ஸார்த்தகமாய் மந்திவராபவதசாதிகனைச் மசய்து அருைினார். இேர் அருைிய ப்ரபந்தங்கள் (1) திருேிருத்தம் (2) திருோசிரியம் (3) மபரிய திருேந்தாதி (4) திருோய்மமாழி யஸ்ய ேோேஸ்வே ஸ்மேோமேச வகுளோம

Sameehanah,yajnah It is observed that in Sri Vishnu Sahasranama Parayanam after, the first sloka, Suklam baradaram some fail to chant this sloka. Yasya Dvirada Vaktraadyaah Paarishadyaah Paras-satham/; Vignam Nignanti Sathatham Vishvaksenam Tam aasraye // .This sloka means “,I take resort to Him Gajanana ,the double tusked elephant faced Nitya suri and hundreds of such sooris ,who always remove the obstacles ,form the corps of Sri Vishvaksena’.Hence this sloka forms the basis for our prayer. Similarly, the concluding Artha Vishannah sloka means “People may be in distress or in grief ,in confusion or in fright, or effected by terrific diseases .If they only sing the name of Sriman Narayana they become rid of all troubles and attain happiness. It is good to recite after this sloka, Panchayutha Sthothram,a Hymn of the five weapons of Sriman Narayana ,. Then Dwadasa nama panchara sthothram,which concludes as Pravishtah aham na ma kinchit bhayam asti kadaa chana which says that there is no longer fear of any kind, This way my salutations to Sriman Narayana. After this, Aapadam Apaharthaaram sthothram may be recited. In Srivaishnava sampradayam, Sriman Narayana is both Sri Maha Lakshmi and Sriman Narayana. Hence Sri Lakshmi Ashtothram, or Sri Sthuthi of Swamy Desikan may be recited then. It is believed that Sri Anjaneya stays wherever there is Yathra yathra Raghunatha Keerthanam there is the presence of Sri Anjaneya . Hence,Hanumath Sthothram can be recited in the end to get the blessings of sri Anjaneya.All these parayanams are sure to attain good health, peaceful life, glorious wealth,

,higher knowledge, prestigious position, and loyal family status. Now on Dharma Sthothram In 444th nama Sameehanah it is meant as the same as Icha sakthi . Sriman Narayana is brilliant in the capacity of creation. His desires are suspicious and for the wellbeing of all the creatures at all times in all the places. He knows the method to control and regulate His desiring power. He allocates the respective places after the deluge and also during the creation. He always makes all to do the work and streamline everything. In Thiruvaimozhi 1.3.3, Nammazhwar says as Naranan mayaiyai aribhavar yaro. Sriman Narayana is doing all the creations after deluge, apart from regular creations. Similarly the destructions regularly done is done along with deluge destroying. All these are carried out with the intelligence and out of His superior power ,unique with Sriman Narayana. The birth of Sriman Narayana is not known to anybody which is a great wonder. In the same 8.4.9 pasuram Padaipodu keduppuk kappavan , Nammazhwar says that Sriman Narayana is doing the jobs of creating, sustaining, and destroying. He is acting as Brahma, Vishnu and Siva. He never moves out of any creatures and present as an antaryami. Thirumazhisai Azhwar in Naanmugan Thiruvanthathi first pasuram says as Naanmuganai narayanan padaithan, Naanmuganum thaan mugamai sankaranai than padaithan. Sriman Narayana is one who creates Brahma, and Siva. He has such a great power to create all vital things in the universe. The supreme personality is thus indicated as Sameehanaah .The next 48th sloka is yajnah ijyo mahejyashcha kratuh satram sataam gatih/ sarvadarshee vimuktaatmaa sarvajno jnaanamuttamam. // In 445th nama Yajnah is meant as one who is with the same nature of Yagna,or sacrifice. Sriman Narayana is Yagna swaroopi. All the sacrifices are from His own various forms. He is present as sacrifice in order to satisfy all the people. In Sruthi it is said as Yagno vai Vishnu ,which confirms that Yagna is of the nature of Sriman Narayana. In Srimad Bagavad Geetha the term yagna finds place in many slokas such as 3.10,3.14,4.28,4.32,4.33,9.16,10.25,16.1,17.7,17.11,17.23, and 18.5. .In Gita 9.16, Aham kratur,aham yagnah . Sri Krishna says that He is the ritual, sacrifice, the offering to the ancestors, the healing herb, the transcendental chant ,the butter, the fire and the offering. In Gita 10.25, Yagnanam japa yagna .is confirming that Sri Krishna is the Japayagna,which is just chanting of the holy names .In Gita 17.11, Sri Krishna says that the sacrifices performed according to the direction of scripture ,as a matter of duty by those who desire no reward is satvika nature of goodness. All the different types of sacrifices are approved by the vedas and all of them are born of different types of work, knowing them as such, one can become liberated. In the beginning of creation, Sriman Narayana sent forth generations of men and semigods along with the sacrifices for Sriman Narayana and blessed them saying â&#x20AC;&#x153;Be thou happy by this Yagna. .In Gita 3.14, Yagnad bhavati parjanyo yagna karma samudbhava it is said as Rains are produced by performance of yagnas. And so Yagna is born of prescribed duties.Yagna to us is just to express our gratitude to the agencies which confer benefits to us in the matter prescribed in the vedas. In the namas 971 to 982 Yagna and its fruits are informed in various forms.

Yaksha Prashnam

Based on a discourse in Tamil by

Sri U.Ve. Karunakaran Swamin The Yakshna’s second question is , “who travels with Adityan?” Yudhistar answered that the Devas accompany the Adityan in his travel. If we take Adityan to be the Sun then the Devas are as follows. There are in total 12 Suns known as the 12 Adithyas one Adithya for every month. The Sun is accompanied by 1 rishi every month . The rishi keeps the Sun commpany by chanting Vedas. There is also a gandharva who palys music to entertain the Sun. The Sun’s chariot is drawn by 7 horses. A Yakshan travels with the Sun to control the horses. To protect the Sun, a rakshasha travels with the Sun. The Sun is also accompanied by a Naga. Apsaras entertain the Sun by dancing. Lord Vishnu has twelve forms. The Lord accompanies the Sun everymonth in one of His twelve months.

When Yudhishtira mentioned that the Devas accompany the Sun, he was referring to the rishi, Gandharva, Yakshan, Rakshasha, Naga, Apsara, and Lord Vishnu. The Devas accompanying the Sun are known as “saptha Ganangal”. The Lord is the supreme Deva who gives strength to the Sun to carry out his duties. This is why during Tarpanam, manthrams are chanted to thank the Lord. Depending on the month in which the Tarpanam is performed, the name of the Lord’s form accompanying the Sun during that month is mentioned. Esoterically, if we take Adityam to mean jeevatma, Yudhishtira’s answer shows that our sense organs accompany us. The sense organs are called as Devas. We need them in our journey to attain the divine feet of our Lord. We need ears to listen to His story, toungue to chant His names, eyes to see His beautiful form, and so on. The sense-organs never leave us. They accompany us after death in a micro form till we cross the Viraja river to reach sri Vaikuntham.

The Yakshan asked the following questions. How can a person become Shrothriyan (learned)? How can a person attain that which is great? When and how can a person always have good company? How will a person become intelligent?

Yudhishtira answered that by listening to an Acharyan teach the Vedic scriptures one can become learnes. Hardwork makes a person reach that which is great. In Yudhishtira’s answer, “tapas” refers to hardwork. The word “taps” is derived from “tapa alochanai”. It is also known as “lateral thinking” in English. It is not

enough to just learn a subject; a person must also be able to apply the knowledge he/she has learnt in real life situations. A person must think about the required criteria and constraints before doing any task. A person must not mechanically perform tasks without thinking about it. The following anecdote explains Yudhishtira’s answer. In the year 1976 to 77 a state of emergency was declared in India. In the year 1978 a new government was formed under Prime Minister Moraji Desai and the country came out of emergency. During emergency all government offices were ordered to fill out a form stating that they comply with the rules of emergency. The government employees were mechanically filling out these forms without reading the forms. They continued to sign and file these forms upto the year 1979 even after the country had come out of emergency. They only stopped signing these forms when this was noticed by a new officer. This is an example of people performing a task without applying their mind. If they had applied their mind and had read the form they would have known that they need not sign these forms after the new government was formed in 1978. As they only performed their task mechanically like a ritual, they continued to file unnecessary paper work for over a year thus wasting time as well as money. People who perform tasks mechanically are people without tapas; they will never achieve that which is great. A person with courage and determination always has good company. A person becomes intelligent by obtaining training from an experienced person. By Vridha sevaya Yudhishtira did not mean an aged person; he meant an experienced individual. Any person trying to learn a new skill must be trained by a person who has experience. In his book “Adventures in Two Worlds”, A.J. Cronin narrates his life experiences. A.J.Cronin was a physician and after graduating from medical school he worked under the guidance of a senior physician. Once the senior physician had to step out of the clinic and Cronin was left in charge. A woman rushed in with her child. The child was wheezing. Cronin noticed that the child was unable to breath and the childs breathing sounded like a whistle. Cronin diagonosed that the child was suffering from pneumonia. To ease the child’s breathing, Cronin started to make preparations to perform tracheotomy. At this moment the senior physician walked in. He made examined the child. The senior physician held the child upside down and slapped the child’s back. To everyone’s surprise a whistle fell out of the child’s mouth. The child was not suffering from pneumonia but had only swallowed a whistle. When Cronin picked-up the

whistle to dispose it in the garbage, his mentor told him to retain the whistle as a souvenir so that everytime Cronin looked at the whistle he could recall this event and learn from his mistakes. Cronin studied hard in medical school but just the medical knowledge alone was not sufficient. He had to pick-up diagnostic skills from an experienced senior. The following anecdote is an example of experience which cannot be obtained by just attending university. Dr Rangachari was once called in to treat a pregnant woman who had been gored by a bull. The baby’s finger was poking out of the hole in the mother’s stomach. It was still too early for the baby to be delivered and the proper procedure was to sew the hole in the mother’s stomach to allow the baby to develop further. The main concern was the baby’s finger which was poking out of the mother’s stomach. Other physicians could not figure out a way to push the finger back into the womb. Dr Rangachari purchased a cigarrette. After lighting the cigarette, he touched the baby’s finger with it and immediately the baby pulled its finger inside allowing the doctor to close the wound.

Yudhishtira’s answers contain hidden esoteric meaning as well. They are as follows. The Yakshan asked , ‘How can a person become Shrothriyan?’ Shrothriyan means both learned as well as liberated soul in Sanskrit. Yudhishtira answered that by listening to the good teachings of a Acharya a person will become Shrothriyan. A person must first listen about the qualities of Bagawan. This is per the pasuram “Nee en sevi vazhiye pugundu..” of Sri Namazhwar as well. Sri Nammazhwar aske Perumaal to enter Azhwar’s mind through Azhwar’s ears. Only by listening about the divine past times of the Lord we will be able to develop love for Him. Once we feel the divine love kindled in our hearts, we will perform the necessary things required to reach Him.

ோக்ஷம்.

1. பாண்டிய நாட்டின் முதல் அரசன் இந்த்ரத்யும்னன். தங்கைிேத்தில் மிகுந்த பக்தி மகாண்ே அேன், மலய மனலயில் தங்கனை ஆழ்ந்து தியானித்துக்மகாண்டிருந்தான். அதனால், அேனுனேய அதிதியாக இருக்க வேண்டும் என்று ேிரும்பி ேந்த அகத்திய முனிேனர அேன் ஏமறடுத்துப் பார்க்கேில்னல. कुम्भोद्भूतत: संभत ृ क्रोधभाि: स्तब्धात्मा त्वं िस्स्तभूयं भजेतत । शप्त्वाऽथैनं प्रत्यगात ् सोऽपप लेभे िस्तीन्द्रत्वं त्वत्स्मतृ तव्यस्क्तधन्द्यम ् ॥२॥ கும்வபா₄த்₃பூ₄தி: ஸம்ப்₄ருதக்வராத₄பா₄ர: ஸ்தப்₃தா₄த்மா த்ேம் ஹஸ்திபூ₄யம் ப₄வேதி | ஶப்த்ோ(அ)னத₂நம் ப்ரத்யகா₃த் வஸா(அ)பி வலவப₄ ஹஸ்தீந்த்₃ரத்ேம் த்ேத்ஸ்ம்ருதிவ்யக்தித₄ந்யம் || 2|| 2. வகாபம் அனேந்த அகத்திய முனிேர், “ேினயமற்ற நீ யானனயாகக் கேேது” என்று அேனனச் சபித்தார். அேன் யானன ேடிமேடுத்து, தங்கனை பேித்ததால், யானனகைின் அரசனானான். அப்வபாதும்கூே, அேன் தங்கள் பக்தியிவலவய மூழ்கியிருந்தான். दग्धाम्भोधेमध् व यभास्ज त्रिकूटे क्रीडञ्छै ले यूथपोऽयं वशामभ: । सवावन ् जन्द्तन ू त्यवततवष्ट शक्त्या त्वद्भक्तानां कुि नोत्कषवलाभ: ॥३॥

த₃க்₃தா₄ம்வபா₄வத₄ர்மத்₄யபா₄ேி த்ரிகூவே க்ரீே₃ஞ்னச₂வல யூத₂வபா(அ)யம் ேஶாபி₄: | ஸர்ோந் ேந்தூநத்யேர்திஷ்ே ஶக்த்யா த்ேத்₃ப₄க்தாநாம் குத்ர வநாத்கர்ஷலாப₄: || 3|| 3. பாற்கேலின் நடுேில் உள்ை திரிகூே மனலயில் அேன் யானனகைின் தனலேனாக, மபண் யானனகளுேன், எல்லா மிருகங்கனையும் தன் பலத்தினால் மேன்றுமகாண்டு வமன்னமயுேன் ேிைங்கினான். உன் பக்தர்களுக்கு எங்குதான் மபருனம கினேக்காது? स्वेन स्थेम्ना हदव्यदे शत्वशक्त्या सोऽयं खेदानप्रजानन ् कदाधचत ् । शैलप्रान्द्ते घमवतान्द्त: सिस्यां यूथैस्साधं त्वत्प्रणुन्द्नोऽमभिे मे ॥४॥

ஸ்வேந ஸ்வத₂ம்நா தி₃வ்யவத₃ஶத்ேஶக்த்யா வஸா(அ)யம் வக₂தா₃நப்ரோநந் கதா₃சித் | னஶலப்ராந்வத க₄ர்மதாந்த: ஸரஸ்யாம் யூனத₂ஸ்ஸார்த₄ம் த்ேத்ப்ரணுந்வநா(அ)பி₄வரவம || 4|| 4. தன் பலத்தினாலும், தன் வதகசக்தியாலும், அேன் துன்பம் அறியாதேனாயிருந்தான். ஒரு நாள், மேய்யிலால் ோட்ேமுற்று , தன் கூட்ேத்துேன் திரிகூே மனலயில் உள்ை ஒரு குைத்தில் ேினையாடிக் மகாண்டிருந்தான். தங்களுனேய ஏவுதலினாவலவய அப்படி ேினையாடினான். िूिूस्तावद्देवलस्यापप शापात ् ग्रािीभत ू स्तज्जले बतवमान: । जग्रािै नं िस्स्तनं पाददे शे शान्द्त्यथं हि श्रास्न्द्तदोऽमस स्वकानाम ् ॥५॥ ஹூஹூஸ்தாேத்₃வத₃ேலஸ்யாபி ஶாபாத் க்₃ராஹீபூ₄தஸ்தஜ்ேவல ப₃ர்தமாந: | ேக்₃ரானஹநம் ஹஸ்திநம் பாத₃வத₃வஶ ஶாந்த்யர்த₂ம் ஹி ஶ்ராந்திவதா₃(அ)ஸி ஸ்ேகாநாம் || 5|| 5. அந்தக் குைத்தில், வதேலர் என்ற முனிேரின் சாபத்தால், ஹூஹூ என்ற கந்தர்ேன் முதனலயின் ேடிமேடுத்து ேசித்து ேந்தான். அேன், இந்த கவேந்திரனின் கானலக் கவ்ேிக்மகாண்ோன். தங்கள் பக்தர்களுக்கு ஞானம் ஏற்படுேதற்காகவே துன்பங்கனைத் தருகிறீர்கள் அல்லோ? त्वत्सेवाया वैभवात ् दतु नविोधं युध्यन्द्तं तं वत्सिाणां सिस्रम ् । प्राप्ते काले त्वत्पदै काग्र्यमसध्यै नक्राक्रान्द्तं िस्स्तवयं व्यधास्त्वम ् ॥६॥ த்ேத்வஸோயா னேப₄ோத் து₃ர்நிவராத₄ம் யுத்₄யந்தம் தம் ேத்ஸராணாம் ஸஹஸ்ரம் | ப்ராப்வத காவல த்ேத்பனத₃காக்₃ர்யஸித்₄னய நக்ராக்ராந்தம் ஹஸ்திேர்யம் வ்யதா₄ஸ்த்ேம் || 6|| 6. தங்கனைப் பூேித்ததின் பயனால், கவேந்திரன் ஆயிரம் ேருேங்கள் முதனலயுேன் வபாராடினான். அேனுனேய கர்ம ேினனகனை நீக்கி, அேனுக்குத் தங்கள் ஸ்தானமான னேகுண்ேத்தில் இேமைிக்க வேண்டி, அேனன முதனலயிேம் வதாற்றுப்வபாகும்படி மசய்தீர்கள் அல்லோ?

46 आततवव्यक्तप्राक्तनज्ञानभस्क्त: शुण्डोस्त्िप्तै: पुण्डिीकै: समचवन ् । पूवावभ्यस्तं तनपववशेषात्मतनष्ठं स्तोिं श्रेष्ठं सोऽन्द्वगादीत ् पिात्मन ् ॥७॥ ஆர்திவ்யக்தப்ராக்தநஜ்ஞாநப₄க்தி: ஶுண்வோ₃த்ேிப்னத: புண்ே₃ரீனக: ஸமர்சந் | பூர்ோப்₄யஸ்தம் நிர்ேிவஶஷாத்மநிஷ்ே₂ம் ஸ்வதாத்ரம் ஶ்வரஷ்ே₂ம் வஸா(அ)ந்ேகா₃தீ₃த் பராத்மந் || 7|| 7. முழுமுதல் மதய்ேவம! மிகுந்த துன்பமனேந்த அந்த கவேந்திரன், பூர்ே ேன்ம ஞானத்தாலும், பக்தியாலும், தன் துதிக்னகயால் தாமனர மலனரப் பறித்து, தங்கனை அர்ச்சித்தான். முன் ேன்மத்தில் ஏற்பட்ே பக்தியால், நிர்குணமான தங்கனை ஸ்வதாத்திரம் மசய்தான். श्रत्ु वा स्तोिं तनगण ुव स्थं समस्तं ब्रह्मेशाद्यैनाविममत्यप्रयाते । सवावत्मा त्वं भूरिकारुण्यवेगात ् तार्क्षयावरूढ: प्रेक्षितोऽभू: पिु स्तात ् ॥८॥ ஶ்ருத்ோ ஸ்வதாத்ரம் நிர்கு₃ணஸ்த₂ம் ஸமஸ்தம் ப்₃ரஹ்வமஶாத்₃னயர்நாஹமித்யப்ரயாவத | ஸர்ோத்மா த்ேம் பூ₄ரிகாருண்யவேகா₃த் தார்க்ஷ்யாரூே₄: ப்வரேிவதா(அ)பூ₄: புரஸ்தாத் || 8|| 8. நிர்குண ேிஷயமான அேன் ஸ்வதாத்திரத்னதக் வகட்ே பிரும்மா, சிேன் முதலிவயார், அேர்கனைப் பற்றிய ேிஷயமல்லாததால், அங்கு ேரேில்னல. எல்லா உயிர்கைிேத்தும் உனறயும் தாங்கள், அைேற்ற கருனணயுேன், கருேன்மீ து ஏறிக்மகாண்டு கவேந்திரன் முன்னால் வதான்றின ீர். िस्तीन्द्रं तं िस्तपद्मेन धत्ृ वा चक्रेण त्वं नक्रवयं व्यदािी: । गन्द्धवेऽस्स्मन ् मुक्तशापे स िस्ती त्वत्सारूप्यं प्राप्य दे दीप्यते स्म ॥९॥ ஹஸ்தீந்த்₃ரம் தம் ஹஸ்தபத்₃வமந த்₄ருத்ோ சக்வரண த்ேம் நக்ரேர்யம் வ்யதா₃ரீ: | க₃ந்த₄ர்வே(அ)ஸ்மிந் முக்தஶாவப ஸ ஹஸ்தீ த்ேத்ஸாரூப்யம் ப்ராப்ய வத₃தீ₃ப்யவத ஸ்ம || 9||

9. தங்கள் சக்ராயுதத்தால் முதனலனயக் மகான்று, தங்கள் தாமனரக் கரங்கைால் கவேந்திரனனப் பிடித்துக்மகாண்டீர்கள். முதனலயும் வதேல முனிேரின் சாபத்திலிருந்து ேிடுபட்டு கந்தர்ே ரூபம் அனேந்தது. கவேந்திரனும், மிகவும் பிரகாசத்துேன் தங்கள் ஸாரூப்யத்னத அனேந்தான். एतद्वत्ृ तं त्वां च मां च प्रगे यो गायेत्सोऽयं भूयसे श्रेयसे स्यात ् । इत्युक्त्वैनं तेन साधं गतस्त्वं धधष्ण्यं पवष्णो पाहि वातालयेश ॥१०॥ ஏதத்₃வ்ருத்தம் த்ோம் ச மாம் ச ப்ரவக₃ வயா கா₃வயத்வஸா(அ)யம் பூ₄யவஸ ஶ்வரயவஸ ஸ்யாத் | இத்யுக்த்னேநம் வதந ஸார்த₄ம் க₃தஸ்த்ேம் தி₄ஷ்ண்யம் ேிஷ்வணா பாஹி ோதாலவயஶ || 10|| 10. பலஸ்ருதி: எங்கும் நினறந்திருப்பேவர! தாங்கள், “இந்த கவேந்திர வமாே சரித்திரத்னதயும், உன்னனயும், எம்னமயும், அதிகானலயில் ஸ்வதாத்திரம் மசய்பேர்கள், அைேற்ற வேமத்னத அனேோர்கள்” என்று கூறி, அந்த கவேந்திரனுேன் கூே ஸ்ரீ னேகுண்ேத்னத அனேந்த குருோயூரப்பா, தாங்கள் காப்பாற்றவேண்டும்.

These two rivers very unusually come together in the shape of an "L". Vadapalli is also a famous place of worship for Lord Shiva's devotees. The two main temples are the Sri Lakshmi-Narasimha Swami temple and a Sri meenakshi Agasteswara temple, which was constructed by the Kakatiya rulers in the 12th century. There, a Shivalinga is said to always hold a certain level of water, no matter how much water is removed. There are Puranic references to the history of Lord Narasimha's appearance at Vadapalli. According to the Puranas, Vyasa Bhagavan, knowing the piousness of the place, meditated for a long time on the manifestation of Sri Narasimha Swamy. The Lord blessed him by manifesting in his ferocious Ugra form. Vyasadeva experienced Lord Narasimha at the moment when His breath was filled with tremendous anger, so he concluded that the Lord had come to him just after killing Hiranyakasipu. Therefore, he prayed to Sri Narasimha Swamy to manifest at Vadapalli in that Form only. Accordingly, Lord Narasimhadeva manifested there to bless the devotees and to alleviate their suffering. Even now, it is said that the Deity breathes in and out. The temple priests have arranged two lamps here. One lights the face of the Lord and can be seen to quiver, as evidence of the fact that the Lord is continually breathing in and out. The second lamp, kept below, burns without flutter. The Vadapalli and Vedadri temples in Krishna District are also understood to be two of a group of five Narasimha temples which together, form a holy dhama, or religious collective. The other three temples in the group are located at Mattapalli , Ketavaram and Mangalagiri in Guntur District. Although built during different time periods, these five Sri Narasimha temples are connected historically, by the devotees' worship of the Deities, and through their iconography. Author Dr. Anu Vedagiri has published a scholarly study of these five temples in her book, "Five Narasimha Temples in Andhra Pradesh" (2004). In her book, she identifies three prevalent iconographic themes that are associated with the five temples. These include the role of Laksmi devi as the primary servant of Narasimhadev, the importance of the Krishna River, and the underlying Tantric affiliation within the Vaisnava ritual practices in the temples.Vadapally is situated at a distance of 25 km from Miryalaguda. Ivargal Ti ruvaakku. Impossible to repay Lord Krishna says to Arjuna that His avataras are to save sadhus. He who is gentle by nature is a sadhu. The person who has peace in his heart is gentle. And the one who controls his mind has peace in his heart, said Kidambi Narayanan, in a discourse. Such a person is not envious of anyone. If we tell ourselves that the One who is in our heart is the same One who is in the hearts of others, then we will not be jealous of anyone. Bhakti keeps us from evils such as jealousy. What is bhakti? True bhakti is to have oneâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s mind focused on Him always. He who has bhakti has no thoughts of complaining about his life, for his mind dwells not on his problems, but on the Lord. To the bhakta, visits to the temple bring joy. However, we must never take pride in our pilgrimages. We are not capable of doing anything without His blessings. So, even a temple visit is possible, only because He wills it. One should thank God for making possible oneâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s worship at the temple. We often think to ourselves that we have not done enough to repay our debt to our parents. It is a valid concern, because how can we compensate our parents for that they have done for us? But if we have such regrets with regard to our parents, then we should think of whether we can compensate the Divine Couple, who are our parents not just in one birth but in all births. Without Divine will, we can do nothing. So how will we ever repay God? Fortunately for us, He does not expect anything from us in return for His kindness. All He expects is that we have bhakti towards Him.
