1.0 Summary:

Passport 2 Freedom strives to help those who have been denied their basic human rights. We hope to be a voice for those who have been stripped of their freedom. One of our goals is to promote the awareness in the western world of injustices going on all over the world, so that we may all be moved and inspired to act on providing freedom and equality for all human beings. Our main Causes right now are to raise awareness of Human Trafficking and financial aid for the Favela of Rio de Janeiro and specifically a safe-‐home/help center for kids “Borel”. And as of November 2013 we are also partnering with Abolish Slavery to help free victims of Human Trafficking in The United States, Brazil, Cambodia, Burma, Haiti, Iraq, Mexico, Israel and Sudan.

2.0 Mission statement and goals

2.1 Mission statement Passport 2 Freedom strives to spread awareness of Human Trafficking all over the world and better the living situation specifically for those who have been denied their basic human rights in the Favela’s (slums) of Brazil. Passport 2 Freedom Fashion line: 100% of what YOU spend to buy a fashion item will go straight TO THE CAUSE. 2.2 Further information on Passport 2 Freedom Why we are called Passport 2 Freedom: A passport is a document, issued by a national government, which certifies, for the purpose of international travel, the identity and nationality of its holder. Most of the people living in the favelas have no identification. A passport shows that you are a legal registered citizen. In the favelas there is a lack of a public system that records births and deaths. Even though we are not able to give people an actual passport, due to a lot of deeper issues within the way things work in the favelas, this issue would first need to change. We still want to help the people find self worth, and an identity of value. 2.3 Bylaws: WE WANT TO: •

Provide aid for those living in the poverty of the favelas (slums) in Brazil. Housing in the favelas is cramped and shelters are made from bricks, scraps, and garbage. Crime and disease is high and there is no sewage system. We want to provide aid such as building homes and schools, finding ways of providing non-‐contaminated water to the people, working to develop sustainable methods of irrigation and sewage systems, and providing the children with clothing and toys. We want to help people that are being sold and trafficked for the use of sex and labor, specifically young girls in the Favela’s. We would like to help girls find their independence and sense of worth again, however we can. We have a grassroots mentality and are strong believers in the power of the people and the power of community. We believe that by fundraising for these causes through community events and through the creative arts, we can unite and inspire positive change for those who need our help. Our mission is to help people. We believe that EVERY human being is entitled to basic human rights, particularly their freedom.

We are aware that so many organizations take a huge percentage of what they raise for personal profit. We want to make sure that everything – 100% of what we raise-‐ will go straight to the people. We have trusted contacts in Brazil and through Borel, a help-‐center in the favela of Rio de Janeiro.

2.4 Main goal – more specific • Spread awareness of Human Trafficking • Help provide finances to run programs at help-‐centers for kids and single mothers where kids can come and learn how to read and write. Help host a place where kids can feel protected from all violence of the Favela’s. • Raise awareness about the injustices and violations of human rights in the Favela’s by producing art, music and fashion that portraits the reality of the people living there.

8.0 Risks Risks Market risks: Apparel won’t sell

Finances: We can receive donations online at any time.

Other risks: The money isn’t distributed right.

Plan to reduce risks We produce a smaller amount at a time and we try to do pre-‐orders to make sure we are not sitting on a lot of apparel we can’t get rid of. If for some reason we have apparel leftover, we will donate the apparel to the safe-‐home. They are always in need of clothes. As our organization expands we can ask for grants and gifts from other organizations and businesses We have a close relationship with the worldwide organization YWAM that has volunteers work for free to help better the favelas and push to build a safe-‐home for the children. We are in close communication with them.

9.0 Budget/Reviews 2012:

9.1 Budget/Reviews 2013:

10.0 Milestones: 9.1 Milestones Spread awareness of Human Trafficking to as many people as possible. Start new programs and help-‐centers -‐ Borel new buildings. We are hoping to build a main office, a tutor center and a health and food center. From this center, kids can come daily and learn how to read and write. If they have any medical issues they can get general help. If anyone has been abused in any way they have adults at the safe-‐home who will listen to them and council them. At the center the kids can be kids in a neighborhood that forces them to grow up too fast. It is a safe haven for the kids. When the kids learn how to read and write and get constant encouragement to get out of the cycle of poverty. By investing in this center we truly believe we can help break the cycle of poverty and give kids the dignity and love they deserve to succeed in life. 9.2 Build a help center in every Favela of every major city in Brazil. Every major city in Brazil has a favela. And unfortuntally the favelas are growing. By building a safe home in every favela, we can really make a difference and help a larger amount of kids to break out of the cycle of poverty by empowering them. 9.3 The ultimate goal is to help the government of Brazil to change and include the people living in the favela’s as normal citizens. Giving them the human rights they deserve. We hope that through multimedia and awareness to influence this change in Brazil. 9.4 End Modern Day Slavery 9.5 Milestones in P2F We are hoping to get into the corporate market more, and have our apparel sold world wide and in stores. We are hoping to continue growing and expanding each year.
