The mission of the Jacksonville University Department of Campus Safety and Security is to provide a safe and secure campus that allows the campus community to achieve educational, personal, professional, and institutional goals.

CORE FUNCTIONS

Safety and Security Officers provide 24-hour, 7-day a week student safety and security services Maintains liaison with state, federal, and local law enforcement partners Authors Incident Reports and leads investigations Creates and publishes Annual Security Report and Safety Guide in compliance with the Jeanne Clery Act and other federal reporting requirements Maintains access control, monitors campus-wide electronic surveillance system, liaison with Facilities for life safety equipment Coordinates Central Dispatch System Maintains and updates Comprehensive Emergency Management Plan
