Varsity Sailing

MISSION STATEMENT

JU Sailing team is determined to compete at the highest levels of college sailing, by recruiting, retaining and supporting student athletes from around the country and world. Through the rigors of competing in the hardest sport in the world with the best coaching staff in the country, young men and women will leave prepared for the future. Combining athletics with sustainability education, the team advances care for the water through service projects and community engagement throughout the city of Jacksonville.

Charlotte Rose repeated as Singlehanded National Champion in one of the greatest come from behind victories. Ranked #1 on the US Sailing Olympic Team Fall 2021. 13th at the Women ’ s Doublehanded National Championship 10th at the Match Race National Championship Finished 1st at the 2022 Women ’ s Conference Championship and finished 3rd at the 2022 CoEd Conference Championship Women advanced to National Championship for first time
