MISSION STATEMENT
The Jacksonville University Varsity Shooting Team is a 21-time national event championship varsity sports program (run by the team members under direct supervision of the Director/Head Coach) which provides the best possible learning and development (mentoring) environment wherein young men and women (JU Students) learn skills and solutions for life via the competitive clay target sports, thereby enhancing the Jacksonville University collegiate experience.

BY THE NUMBERS
Total active roster of 58 11 student-athletes in the Honors program and 3 staying for their MBA 19 incoming freshmen recruited to JU specifically for team involvement Raised $196,987
SUCCESSES
Finished 3rd overall in the nation at SCTP Nationals in July 2021. Won RU National Champion in two (2) events and two (2) JU athletes won RU National Champion in their respective events. Won HOA SE Regionals with JU athletes completely dominating as HOA individual Champions in all events. Attended the SCTP Collegiate Nationals and took 3rd overall; won the national championship title in Sporting Clays event; took RU national championship title in the 5-stand event; finished 3rd in the Bunker Trap event; and finished 4th in the Skeet event. A JU student-athlete won the sporting clays event (HOA National Champion) and another JU athlete won the Bunker national title (HOA National Champion). Two additional JU student-athletes took 3rd and 4th in the Bunker Trap and 5-Stand events, respectively. A JU student-athlete won the HOA individual National Championship title and set a new collegiate SCTP record with a score of 595/600. Four (4) members of the JU Shooting Team are on the USA Shooting Team including the current national champion in Bunker Trap, an Olympic sport.
