The JU SHC provides evidence based episodic and preventative healthcare in collaboration with other university student services to promote and support the healthcare needs of each individual student.

CORE FUNCTIONS
Provide evidence based episodic and preventative healthcare services to both undergraduate and graduate students. This includes management of acute and chronic health conditions, urgent care, specialty referrals and education. Promote a culture of health awareness across the campus community Support the education mission of the campus by outreach efforts, educational materials with a commitment to help students graduate with the skills they need to be good healthcare consumers. Clinical training site for Keigwin School of Nursing Family Nurse Practitioner students.
KEY INITIATIVES
Provide evidenced based episodic and preventative healthcare services to both undergraduate and graduate students via in-person or telehealth. Support the University by collaboratively managing COVID-19 on campus. Hire additional support staff to include a Nurse Practitioner, Front Office Coordinator and Registered Nurse. Update website and develop a social media platform to better communicate with JU students. Develop and implement a SHC patient satisfaction survey. Offer Free STI testing on campus. Conduct Flu campaign to immunize students, faculty, and staff. Work in collaboration with the KSON to offer clinical site placements for nurse practitioner students. Support a KSON doctorate student to conduct quality improvement study in the SHC.
